Ruby took several pictures of the fake grimm with her scroll before they went up the stairs. As they walked into the communications room Weiss began to turn the computers on while the others sat down. Blake sat down and crossed her legs, Ruby sat near the computer with her scroll. Yang flopped in a chair and put her feet up on the chair next to her. Weiss turned away from the computer and started walking to a chair. She put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes when she saw Yang.

"We really need to discuss a proper etiquette for calls in the communication room" she said.

"We can discuss it later" Yang said "sit down."

Weiss spun toward the screen and sat down with a "humph."

The computer screen lit up with Professor Goodwitch's face.

"Hello ladies" She said.

They all gave her their own greeting.

"I apologize for the long wait between our calls" Goodwitch said "we have all been busy with research as the grimm attacks are on the rise."

"We understand" Weiss said.

"We have something to tell you after you tell us what you've found out" Ruby said.

"Very well" Goodwitch said "we have received disturbing news from Atlas. A train containing prototype technology was raided a few weeks ago. One of the things stolen was a device to be used in farming to help end hunger in less fortunate parts of the kingdom."

"What does it do?" Blake asked.

"It is supposed to help multiply farm animals. We have video of a demonstration, I'll play it for you now."

The screen switched to a cow standing near a strange looking device. The device looked almost like a large camera attached to a huge chamber. The device came to life, a small laser appeared on the cow. The laser was adjusted until it was at the center of mass on the cow. A larger laser grid scanned along the cow's body. Suddenly, there was a bright flash. A few seconds later, a door opened on the back of the chamber and another cow stepped out.

"That's amazing" Weiss said.

The screen switched beck to Professor Goodwitch.

"Now you know why we are worried" Goodwitch said "there is no telling what the machine can be used for."

"Why tell us?" Yang asked "it was stolen from Atlas. That's a long way from here."

"All the active huntsmen and huntresses are being informed" Goodwitch said.

Ruby's eyes widened as she looked at her scroll.

"Glynda, could this device be used on grimm?!" Ruby asked.

Blake, Weiss and Yang looked at each other.

"I suppose it could be" Goodwitch said "why do you ask?"

"That might explain this" Ruby said as she inserted her scroll into the computer. The files transferred as Goodwitch looked at a monitor next to her. Her eyes widened as she looked at the pictures.

"I need to confer with our scientist and contact Atlas" Goodwitch said "I'll get back to you as soon as I can."

The computer screen shut off.

"Well, that little mystery was short lived" Yang said "how is it she always beats us to the punch?"

"We should be more worried about what else these people stole from the train and what they did to it" Weiss said.

"Good point" Ruby said "if they're smart enough to steal it, they might be smart enough to modify it."

"But who would want to make grimm?" Blake asked.

"That's the million lien question" Yang said.

As they walked out of the communications room, Blake's stomach growled loudly.

"We completely forgot about dinner" Ruby said rubbing her own stomach.

"What did you make Weiss?" Yang asked.

"I was making roast duck" Weiss said with a sigh "but it's ruined by now."

"So, pizza?" Yang asked.

"Yeah!" Ruby said.

"Sounds good" Blake said.

They all looked at Weiss.

"In this situation, I have no objections" she said.

"Ok" Yang said "a meat lover's for me. Plain, extra cheese for Ruby."

Ruby nodded.

"Sardine and tuna?" Yang asked looking at Blake.

Blake smiled, then her stomach growled again.

"I'll take that as a yes" Yang said "Weiss, what kind of pizza do you want?"

"Pineapple and mushroom" Weiss said.

The other three looked at her.

"What? It's good" Weiss said.

"Oooooookay" Yang said "I'll go order it."

She pulled out her scroll and stepped out the door to make the call.

"I'll make a salad" Weiss said as she walked into the kitchen.

Blake looked at Ruby and asked "want to play 'Battle Ninja' while we wait?"

"You mean 'Ninja Battles'?" Ruby asked "really? You want to play video games?"

"Well, you do call it a team exercise" Blake said with a small smile "Yang taught me how to play, just go easy on me, ok?"

"No promises" Ruby said as she followed Blake to the living room.

Twenty minutes later, they were all in the living room. Blake and Ruby were still playing while Yang was watching calling out combos and moves to Blake. Blake was standing a better chance of winning with Yang's help. Weiss was just watching the three of them having fun.

"Maybe they are right" she thought to herself "everything is going to be ok, dream or not."

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"That should be the pizza" Yang said.

"I'll get it" Weiss said "you keep helping Blake, Ruby has won ten in a row. It's time for her to lose one."

"I heard that!" Ruby said as Weiss walked away.

She opened the door and smiled at the delivery man.

"How much do I owe you?" She asked.

"Twenty-seven fifty-four" he replied.

Weiss reached into the pocket of her gray and blue dress and pulled out thirty-five lien and said "keep the change."

"Thank you, Ma'am," he said as he handed her the pizza.

Weiss nodded and closed the door. She walked into the kitchen and set the table and fixed a plate for everyone.

"Let's see" she said as she opened the boxes "to start, two slices for Ruby, two for me, three for Blake and five for Yang."

She finished with an eye roll and a small smile. She set a glass of milk by Ruby's plate, a glass of water by hers, a cup of tea by Blake's and a glass of Dr. Piper by Yang's plate. She put a small salad by every plate.

"Dinner!" she called.

She heard the other three coming into the room.

"It's not fair if Yang tells you how to beat me" Ruby said.

"A victory is a victory" Blake said.

"Do you complain this much when I beat you?" Yang asked.

They all stopped when they got into the dining room.

"You…you didn't have to do this Weiss" Yang said "we would've been fine with paper plates and cans of soda."

"Well, consider it thanks for the kind words and reassurance at the café" Weiss said "besides, that's what family is for, right?"

The room was silent for what felt like a few seconds too long for Weiss. She immediately dipped her head slightly and closed her eyes. Sure, she was closer to the team than she was to her real family, but that didn't mean the others were, or even felt the way she did. She was about to apologize when a pair of strong arms enveloped her and pulled her into a crushing bear hug. Weiss looked up and saw Yang's smiling face

"Right" She said.

"Yup" Ruby said as she joined the hug.

"Of course" Blake said joining the hug.

"Ok, ok dinner is getting cold" Weiss said.

Blake, Yang and Ruby stepped back and walked to the table. Weiss was thankful they walked away so they didn't see her wipe a few tears from her eyes. Weiss quickly walked over to her chair and sat down. Dinner passed like always. Yang made corny jokes, Ruby laughed and came back with her own. Blake acted like she wasn't listening and tried to hide her smiles and giggles. Soon after, conversation broke out about battles and weapons and the events of the day.

"Wait" Weiss said interrupting Yang's story "you broke two security guards' noses and choked a bartender because they insulted Blake?"

"Of course" Yang said "what was I supp-"

"That's it?" Weiss interrupted again "the place is still standing? No fire damage? No lawsuits? Glad to see you're finally showing some restraint."

Weiss ended with a giggle.

"Well, that wasn't exactly it" Blake said "she may or may not have picked the owner up by the collar and threatened him in front of everyone."

They all laughed as Yang gave a shrug with her best innocent smile. After dinner, they all went to bed. Full stomachs plus two battles in one day added up to exhaustion. Weiss' dream woke her up again that night. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get back to sleep. She picked up her scroll and glanced at it to check the time.

"Five-thirty" she said to herself "might as well get up and get the coffee started."

She stood up and took her nightgown off. After a quick shower, she put her dress on followed by her tights then her high heeled boots. She grabbed Myrtenaster as she walked out the door and clipped it to her side. As she turned the coffee pot on, a loud beeping went off from her scroll. A few minutes later, Yang, Ruby and Blake came down the stairs pulling jackets and boots on as they stumbled down the stairs.

"Grimm this early in the morning?" Yang asked as she closed the collar of her jacket.

"And Glynda messages" Ruby added as she rubbed her eyes.

Weiss took her scroll out and looked at the message from Goodwitch.

"Uh, guys?" She said as she held her scroll up.

They watched as the grimm entered a square in the kingdom. A few seconds later, the stolen device was rolled into the square by several people in cloaks.

"That's not good" Yang said.

There was a bright flash and several pools of black goop shot out of the machine. Grim began forming from the pools. Ruby gasped as some of the grimm were forming into the shape of humans that were caught in the flash. Blades and clubs began to form in the human grimm's hands. Made of boney material like the grimm's horns and scales.

"That's worse" Blake said.

"Let's go" Ruby said "Blake, stick to Yang like glue. Weiss you're with me. No one fights alone, no exceptions!"

They all nodded.

"Let's go" Ruby said.

All four of them ran out the door towards the grimm attack.
