When they got back to the house, Ruby opened the door and walked in. Yang carried Blake inside, walking sideways to avoid hitting Blakes head or legs on the door. Weiss was the last one through, closing the door with her right hand while she was holding the gash on her arm with her left hand.

"Weiss, you're first in the med room" Ruby said "you're gonna need stitches."

"Need help?" Yang asked.

"Will you please put me down now?" Blake asked.

Yang looked down at Blake and asked "you sure you don't like having your own, personal transportation assistant?"

"Put me down" Blake said a little more sternly.

"Fine" Yang said as she sat Blake down in a chair.

"I don't need help with the stitches, Sis" Ruby said "but you can get an ice pack for Blake."

"On it" Yang said as she walked away.

"Come on Weiss" Ruby said as she led her towards the infirmary.

Once they got into the infirmary room, Weiss sat down on the examination table.

"Arm first" Ruby said as she gathered the supplies she needed.

Weiss looked at her arm and her sleeve. The dress' sleeve was cut, ripped and blood stained.

She sighed and said "ruined anyway."

She tore the sleeve off at the shoulder and gently slid it down her arm. Ruby came back with a small tray of tools and sat it down next to her.

Ruby picked up a syringe and asked "do you want pain killer before I start?"

Weiss nodded. Ruby used an alcohol swab then injected the pain killer. She waited a minute for the medicine to take effect.

She gently touched Weiss' arm next to the wound and asked "is it numb yet?"

Weiss nodded and Ruby began cleaning the wound with an antiseptic in a spray bottle.

"It's not as bad as it looks" Ruby said smiling "it just barely got you." She picked up the needle and stitches and asked "ready?"

Weiss looked away at a wall and said "go ahead."

Ruby began stitching the cut together.

A few minutes later, Weiss heard Ruby say "all done."

She looked down at her arm and the neat pattern of stitches over the cut.

"You're getting good at that" Weiss said.

"Thanks" Ruby said as she wrapped gauze around her arm over the cut. She finished and said "let me see your head."

Weiss leaned down slightly. Ruby reached behind her head and untied the bandanna.

"I'll have to get Yang a new one" Weiss said as she watched the ruined cloth fall to the floor.

Ruby gently cleaned the cut on Weiss forehead and said "this won't even need stitches, it's just a bleeder."

Ruby got a few steri strips and used them to close the cut then put a bandage over the cut.

"You're all finished" Ruby said smiling.

Weiss got down off of the table and started to walk out of the room. Ruby gently grabbed Weiss' arm to stop her. Weiss stopped and looked at her, Ruby's silver eyes showing concern.

"Weiss" she said softly "after everyone gets cleaned up, we'll have another team meeting and talk about the dreams and everything. Ok?"

Weiss smiled slightly and nodded as she walked out of the infirmary.

Ruby began to clean up the instruments and blood off of the table. She finished and walked out of the room and into the living room. Weiss had just settled into a chair and was looking at her scroll. Blake was reclined sideways on the couch reading, her left foot was in Yang's lap. Yang was massaging her ankle and watching an old action movie.

Ruby walked in and said "ok team, time to get cleaned up. Weiss, you're first in the shower. Be careful with the bandages, the gauze is waterproof just, well be careful."

Weiss nodded and walked upstairs.

"Yang, you're next" Ruby said.

"Got it" Yang said.

"Blake, do you want me to look at your leg?" Ruby asked.

"Maybe when Yang showers" Blake said "the massage is working wonders."

"Ok" Ruby said "I need to go make a call."

About twenty minutes later, Weiss came back down the stairs in a light blue tee shirt and white sweatpants.

"You're up Yang" she said as she sat down.

"Let me up, Blake" Yang said as she patted Blake's knee.

Blake slid her leg out of Yang's lap and said "thanks Yang. My leg feels better already."

"No problem, Blakey" Yang said as she stood up and headed upstairs.

Ruby put down the video game she was playing and said "Ok Blake, let's look at that leg."

"Alright" Blake said as she stood up.

"Are you ok to walk?" Ruby asked.

"I hope so" Weiss said "I think Yang is the only one who can carry you that easily."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Blake asked.

Weiss' eyes widened as she said "I…I…just that…I mean…you're not fat! It's just…"

Ruby burst out laughing and said "Weiss, she's just kidding!"

Weiss looked at Ruby then at Blake. Blake was hiding a laugh behind her hand with a mischievous look in her eyes.

"I know what you mean" Blake said "Yang is the only one of us who can pick up a car without breaking a sweat. I just had to mess with you."

Weiss blushed and said "You've been spending too much time with Yang."

She picked up her scroll and started reading the first article she found.

"Come on Blake" Ruby said "let's take a look at your leg."

They walked to the infirmary as Ruby opened the door. Blake walked to the table with a slight limp and hopped up onto it. Ruby began to examine her leg, gently feeling around the bruised area for anything unusual.

"Do you want to go for an X-ray?" Ruby asked.

"Do you think I need one?" Blake asked.

"All signs point to no" Ruby said "but I thought I'd offer."

"I'm fine, if you say I don't need one I'll believe you" Blake said.

"Ok" Ruby said "I'll get you an ice sleeve, just keep it elevated."

"Got it" Blake said.

Ruby went to the freezer and got an ice sleeve and put it around Blakes leg and adjusted the Velcro straps. Suddenly, both of their scrolls went off.

"More grimm?" Blake groaned.

"No" Ruby said "it's Glynda, something about the call I made if I had to guess. Come on, let's get to the communication room."

As they passed through the living room, Weiss was looking at her outfit.

"I can't go talk to Glynda like this" she said.

Yang came stumbling down the stairs in an orange hoodie with elbow length sleeves and short brown shorts, still trying to dry her hair with a towel.

"Well, I don't feel as bad now" Weiss said.

They walked to the communication room and sat down as Weiss turned the computers on.

"Hello ladies" Glynda said.

They all gave her their own greetings.

"I must apologize" Glynda said.

"For what?" Yang asked.

"Ruby informed me that you girls have been in one to three battles every day for the past two weeks" Glynda replied.

"It's kinda what we signed up for" Blake said.

"Technically yes" Glynda said "but I can see that you are all exhausted and Weiss and Blake are obviously injured. You all do need rest, I understand that so I've called in a team that has agreed to stay in Vale and help for a week or two. I'm sorry I didn't think to do this sooner. Your mission for tomorrow is to take the day off. You've earned it."

"Are you sure?" Ruby asked.

"Yes" Glynda said "I think you will approve of your help. They will be dropping by your house in a little bit. Enjoy your time off, ladies."

"Thanks Glynda" Ruby said.

The screen shut off, leaving them alone.

"A day off?" Blake asked.

"I can't remember the last time we had a day off" Weiss said.

"I guess we did earn it" Ruby said.

"Well" Yang said "we could use it. I just wonder who's coming to help."

"Let's figure that out after breakfast" Ruby said rubbing her stomach "we still haven't eaten."

"Ok" Weiss said "Ruby, you and Blake take your showers. Yang and I will make brunch."

"Sounds good" Ruby said.

Once they were upstairs, Weiss looked at Yang and said "you do pancakes and sausage. I'll do quiche and hash browns."

"Deal" Yang said.

As they walked towards the kitchen, Yang looked over and saw Weiss almost frowning.

Yang bumped her with her hip as they walked and said "Cheer up Ice Queen, we get a for sure day off tomorrow. Probably for the first time for you since you ran away from Atlas and the first time for me since I finally accepted my robotic prosthetic arm."

"I know" Weiss said with a small smile "I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself."

"Me either" Yang said "but hey, if nothing else we get to sleep in."

A little while later, Yang and Weiss were finishing up breakfast while Ruby was setting the table in her pajamas. Blake came down the stairs in an oversized black tee shirt and short white shorts.

"Smells good" Blake said.

They were about to sit down when there was a knock at the door. They all looked at each other, generally no one came by without letting them know. Normally, it wasn't an issue but the new human grimm didn't help the uneasy feeling in the room. There was another knock as Yang stood up and walked to the door.

"Yang?" Ruby said.

Yang extended the gun barrel from her right arm and winked.

She was about to open the door when a familiar voice yelled through the door "helloooooo?! Come on, open the door for old friends! Besides I smell something delicious!"

Yang retracted the gun barrel and yanked the door open as she braced herself. A red and pink blur shot through the door and wrapped Yang in a hug.

"Good to see you Nora" Yang said.

Nora Valkyrie stepped back and said "it's good to see you too."

Lie Ren stepped through the door, bowed his head slightly and said "hello Yang."

"Hey Ren" Yang said.

Jaune Arc walked in and said "I heard someone needs team JNR's help."

"Come on in guys" Yang said as she led them into the house. "Hey!" Yang called "Guess who's here!"
