"What's the fastest way back to Beacon?" Ruby asked.
"Your semblance" Weiss said "that's the fastest way anywhere."
Ruby shook her head and said "it's too far. My semblance can't carry me over long distances with out wearing me down, especially when carrying someone."
Weiss thought for a second then asked "did Yang finish her new motorcycle?"
"I think so" Ruby said.
"Can you drive it?" Weiss asked.
"Yes, she taught me how" Ruby said "but I'm not as good at it as she is. Why?"
"Use your semblance to get back to the house" Weiss said "we can take Yang's bike to Beacon."
"Won't she be mad?" Ruby asked.
"I'll tell her it was my idea" Weiss said "but I think she will understand. Let's go."
Ruby nodded and put her arm around Weiss' waist and they shot off in a red and white blur. They skidded to a halt in front of their house.
"Wait here" Ruby said.
She ran up the stairs to the front door. Weiss heard the basement door open and Ruby walked out with Bumblebee. She climbed on and started the engine. Weiss ran over and climbed onto the back and wrapped her arms around Ruby. Ruby opened the throttle and the bike took off. They were both quiet as the bike sped through the streets.
"GRIMM!" Weiss yelled over the wind and roar of the engine.
Ruby looked to the right side of the road and saw a pack of beowolves approaching several civilians. She hit the brakes and turned the motorcycle sideways, causing the bike to skid to a stop. Weiss jumped off and drew Myrtenaster. Ruby stepped off of Bumblebee and took Crescent Rose off her back and extended it.
"Hang back" Ruby said.
She lifted Crescent Rose above her head and swung down, sticking the blade of the scythe in the ground and knelt behind it. She pulled the bolt of the sniper rifle back, locking a bullet in the chamber. She aimed at a beowolf standing close to a young girl and pulled the trigger, hitting the beowolf in the head, killing it. She worked the bolt again and fired, killing another beowolf. As their pack members began to evaporate, the beowolves began to charge them.
"Here they come" Weiss said as she readied Myrtenaster.
Ruby stood up and pulled Crescent Rose out of the ground and spun it around. She stepped forward and cut a beowolf in half before decapitating another. Weiss saw some of the grimm charging back at the civilians. She spun around and stuck Myrtenaster into the ground, causing a wall of ice to shoot across the ground, forming a barrier between the grimm and people.
"Over here!" Ruby yelled "you want to kill someone? Try us!"
The grimm began to approach them again.
"Really?" Weiss asked as she rotated the cylinder to fire dust "quoting action movies?"
"It's all I could think of" Ruby said.
When the beowolves came within fifty feet of the huntresses, Weiss created four small glyphs that began shooting out fireballs towards the grimm at the rear of the pack. Causing the ones at the front to quicken their pace. Ruby stepped forward and began fighting the grimm at the front of the pack with Crescent Rose.
"Weiss!" Ruby yelled "I need help here!"
The glyphs disappeared as Weiss slid forward and impaled a beowolf's throat with Myrtenaster. She stepped back and decapitated another one. A beowolf lunged at her before she had recovered from the swing. A red blur flashed before her vision before the beowolf's arms and head hit the ground in front of her. She looked to her side in time to see Ruby ready Crescent Rose to swing at another grimm. Weiss lowered Myrtenaster and held her hand out as several black glyphs appeared below the remaining beowolves, causing them to levitate in the air. Ruby shot off in a red blur, darting from grimm to grimm, killing them all.
Ruby landed and looked around then yelled "Yeah!" and held her fist up for Weiss to pound it.
"Don't celebrate yet" Weiss said pointing to a large elderwolf topping the hill.
"That's the biggest elderwolf I've ever seen" Ruby said "maybe one of your friends should handle it."
Weiss looked at her and asked "and who might that be? They are a little far away to help right now, aren't they?"
"No, I mean summon something" Ruby said.
"oh, right" Weiss said.
She took a knee and stuck the tip of Myrtenaster into the ground. A huge glowing glyph appeared in front of her. A large knight crawled out of it and stood up. Weiss stood up and smiled. The knight crossed one arm over its chest and bowed. It stood up straight, turned around and began approaching the huge grimm dragging the tip of its sword behind it. The elderwolf roared and charged the knight. The knight swung its sword at the elderwolf. The grimm stopped and backed up slightly, avoiding the blade. The elderwolf lunged forward again and bit the knight on the shoulder. The knight punched it, knocking it off and making it stumble back. The elderwolf rushed forward and bit the knight in the throat, causing it to vanish.
Ruby gasped and readied Crescent Rose, but Weiss smiled and said "look."
Ruby looked at the elderwolf and saw that the knight had vanished, but its sword was still embedded in the grimm's chest. The elderwolf fell backwards and evaporated.
"Nice" Ruby said smiling "it's good to have you back to normal."
"Let's go" Weiss said smiling.
Ruby nodded and got back on Bumblebee.
Weiss climbed on and wrapped her arms around Ruby and said "hit it."
Ruby started the bike and took off.
