For The Mothezukerz, I'm still working on a plot I can use with your request, so it might take a little time. Thanks to Maahavanhi VI and the Mothezukerz for reviewing! And pinki, you request will be the next to be posted :)
"Go on, do what you do best, Kowloon." Alpha Girl teased.
Kowloon snorted to himself, fighting to keep the blush off his face. Ever since he had revealed that he batted for both genders, his teammates had been constantly teasing him about it. Of course, it was not meant to be cruel, and Kowloon relished the opportunity to laugh alongside his friends.
With Hidden Kingdom approaching its seventh year of civil war, it was important to keep spirits up, especially in Big Green.
He carefully straightened his shirt, knowing that he looked good, and strode confidently into the room.
Second Squad's latest mission was to gain the alliance of a strong warlord in the east…and if they couldn't get his alliance, they would have to ensure his resources were completely destroyed. He didn't treat the villagers under him well, so Second Squad had no qualms about that, but it was better if they could ally with the warlord instead of have to…dispose of him.
"Come on, get to know the girl." Alpha Girl said.
Kowloon sighed. "What do you think I'm doing? She's surrounded by guards as far as the eye can see."
"Well, she is the apple of her father's eye." chuckled Alpha Girl.
"Shut up." Kowloon groused, before plastering on his most charming smile, running a hand through his hair and catching the daughter's eye. Something about him must have struck her, because her eyes lit up with interest.
However, before he could make his approach, a woman approached the daughter and started up a lively conversation. Kowloon's eyes narrowed at the timing, but before he could dwell more on it, someone approached, effortlessly sweeping him in a dance.
"Hey!" Kowloon spluttered.
A low chuckle, and Kowloon's eyes narrowed as he looked up at familiar onyx eyes. "Lin Chung. What are you doing here?"
"Change in plans." Lin Chung murmured, leaning up to talk in his ear, where his earpiece sat. "Alpha Girl?"
"Here."
Kowloon arched an unimpressed eyebrow. "Why don't you just contact her yourself?"
"Woo wouldn't give us the frequency." Lin Chung said, like that explained everything.
It didn't.
"And?"
"Means we wouldn't be heard on your comms because we're not on the same line." Lin Chung said.
"What's the change of plan?" Alpha Girl asked, clearly impatient.
"The warlord is holding hostages. We think the daughter's the mastermind behind it." murmured Lin Chung.
Kowloon narrowed his eyes. "Great, so I'm going to be sucking up to an evil sociopath?"
Lin Chung laughed, warm and light. "I wouldn't go that far."
"So what's the change?"
"Get her outside. Alpha Girl and I will take care of her." Lin Chung murmured. "Alpha Girl, protocol Sparrow."
"You sure?" There was uncharacteristic hesitance in her tone.
"We're working against the clock." Was the reply.
"Fine. I'll meet you at the hedge maze outside."
"Got it."
"So I can leave you two plotting after I get the crazed woman outside?" Kowloon asked.
"Nope. You distract the father."
"How? I suck up to him and drag him away on a make-out session?" Kowloon asked sarcastically.
"Close." Lin Chung smirked. "You drag his son away."
"His son?" Kowloon asked, over the choked laughs of his teammates in his ear.
"Yep. His father always gets furious whenever Lucky for us, he already seems interested."
"Is that what this dancing was for?" Kowloon asked, already putting the pieces together. "To show I also work with the same gender?"
Lin Chung shrugged. "Let's go with that."
Kowloon's eyes narrowed again. "Personal motivation?"
"Maybe." Lin Chung shrugged again. He tilted his head, looked at Kowloon. "Black suits you. You should wear it more."
Kowloon smirked. "Personal motivation it is." He turned, surprised when he recognised the girl who was now ending her conversation with the daughter. "Mystique Sonia?"
"Everyone loves a good gossip, and Sonia has all of them in the palm of her hand."
Kowloon smothered a smile. "Well, that's my cue."
"Good luck." said Lin Chung as he prepared to leave.
Taking a chance, Kowloon gave a quick glance back, saw the daughter being smothered in a hug by Mystique Sonia thus blocking her view. He leaned forward and brushed his lips against the other's. The stunned silence over his earpiece was not as satisfying as the speechless expression Lin Chung had. Kowloon smirked as he turned. "Thanks." He purred.
Mystique Sonia had already started her retreat. The daughter's gaze was focused on Kowloon, an intense look behind it. Kowloon plastered an appropriately pleased smile on his face as he strode to her confidently.
He heard a quiet huff behind him, but when he glanced behind him, the grey-haired man had disappeared. "Quick, isn't he?"
Alpha Girl's laughter was clear in his ear. "So are you. Smooth move."
Kowloon grinned, the smile more genuine as he finally reached the girl and started chatting with her.
