Nene stared idly in art class, her hand was moving on its own as she didn't realize she was drawing herself with a broken heart.

She lied to Amane, it was a mistake.

In fact, had she confessed everything to Sakura back at the tea party the misunderstanding would have been cleared up and all of this could have been avoided.

Teru was apparently still confused but made sure Amane wouldn't get expelled or anything drastic like that. He would have to stay after school to help him out and make up for the damage.

She was glad they could fix whatever relationship they had that broke down because of her. She was also extremely happy that Teru understood her and that she meant to tell him about the fact that she had lied but had forgotten because of all the drama lately.

She wanted to die honestly, die and never come back. Her chances with Amane were now officially ruined because she decided to be a dumbass.

She can't look at anyone in the eye lately, it's been rough having to explain what she knew about last week's fallout. The only one that would talk to her normally was surprisingly Tsukasa of all people because even Aoi and Mitsuba were acting strange with her.

"Yashiro-san?"

She looked up and blinked and noticed Tsukasa had come to see her again. Normally she wouldn't mind but he's never been this friendly towards her.

"Aren't you supposed to be in class Yugi-senpai?" Ah, it was weird to say that when it's not Amane.

He shrugged. "It's boring without Amane."

Amane was skipping class now apparently.

She sighed. "Normally I wouldn't mind the company but uh… why are you coming to see me?" Was it rude of her to ask? Her own friends were avoiding her, she should be more grateful.

"Because I'm going to fix everything." He said as he sat on one of the empty seats. She hadn't noticed how empty the classroom was.

"Fix everything?" She was confused. What could he possibly do to fix this mess? She lied and she not only hurt Amane but Teru too. There was no amount of apologizing that could get rid of such guilt.

"Amane doesn't like liars, I don't either…" He looked at her with a strange expression.

She wasn't sure if she should be scared or intimidated…

Or both.

"Our biological parents were a pair of assholes, they promised they'd come back and they never did."

Nene went wide-eyed, wait a minute is he telling her their life story!? It sounds horrible too!

"We kind of spent around two years living in the streets until our new parents rescued us." He seemed to beam brightly remembering the day he was saved. "Ever since Amane and I promised to always be there for each other, a part of me couldn't live without him honestly and I thought we would be together forever but then everything changed when the fire nation attacked."

She blinked, was that an avatar the last airbender reference?

Tsukasa sighed as he glared at Nene. "Basically you showed up and ruined everything."

Nene sweatdropped feeling extremely attacked right now.

"Amane could only think about you, Yashiro this, Yashiro that, it was annoying you know!" He exclaimed as he continued his glaring session.

Nene blushed upon hearing Amane thinking about her the way she always thought about him but also felt intimidated by Tsukasa.

"So I took up his time, he had forced me to join the broadcasting club a year prior at the time so I could have my own interests but I left for a while in order to practically always be his shadow…" He sighed not really liking how childish he was. "I didn't want to let go, I still don't! But I realized… Amane is happier with you… and Amane's happiness is important to me." He smiled a genuine smile.

Nene was surprised as she has never seen Tsukasa smile that way before, she couldn't help but smile back. "Thanks, Yugi-senpai."

"Call me Tsukasa."

"Alright, Tsukasa-kun, you can call me Nene."

They both sat there in silence enjoying the newfound friendship they had formed.

Amane didn't want to move from his spot in the back of the library. He didn't want to see anyone or talk to anyone, he felt bad, guilty, angry and stupid.

He knew that it should be good news.

Because it meant they did nothing wrong and could actually start dating, he can confess and ask her to be his girlfriend!

And yet he felt hurt and didn't want to see her right now.

He was too confused!

"What are you doing here?"

Amane looked up to see Tsuchigomori glaring at him. "Uh, I can explain."

He sighed as he felt a migraine incoming. "Yugi-kun you haven't been showing up to class, there's no proper explanation that could justify that… unless you're being bullied."

Amane's eyes went wide. "Oh no, I'm not being bullied I'm just… having some girl trouble I guess…" He blushed not really feeling like telling his teacher about his predicament with Nene.

He sweatdropped. "Girl trouble? Did you confess and get rejected?"

Amane shook his head. "No, nothing like that… I was meaning to but…"

"But…?"

Amane's blush deepened, it was always good to talk to an adult right? "She kind of lied about having a boyfriend…"

Tsuchigomori stayed silent before bursting out laughing. "Holy shit you brats are something else."

Amane deadpanned. "No wonder everyone calls you virgin loser emo spider face."

He stopped laughing. "What did you say?"

Amane smirked. "Nothing."

Tsuchigomori ended up forcing Amane to attend class- when he entered he noticed Tsukasa's eyes lit up, he was glad the teacher wasn't around as Tsukasa got up from his desk and ran towards him trapping him in one of his usually tight hugs.

"Amane! Amane! I'm so glad you're here!" He buried his face into his neck like when he was in middle school.

Amane felt extremely bad for ignoring his brother. "Hey Tsukasa, sorry for leaving you hanging, it's not really your fault- actually no it kind of is."

Tsukasa pouted. "Hey now I was trying to figure what was going on from the start! You're so dense Amane." He pointed out.

Amane blushed. "How was I supposed to know? I didn't expect Yashiro-san of all people to lie to me."

Tsukasa hummed. "Well Nene feels bad, so maybe you should forgive her?"

Amane blinked and narrowed his eyes. "Did you just call her by her first name?"

"Yeah, why?" He looked at him innocently.

Amane felt a little jealous at that. "Why?" He asked.

"We're friends now." He shrugged. "She's been rather depressed for a while and told me her friends have been weird lately, she probably thinks they're avoiding her but truthfully they all feel bad and think Nene should hate them."

Amane stared at his twin in disbelief. "And how do you know that!?"

Tsukasa looked at him confused. "Because it's obvious?"

Amane couldn't process how smart and wise his brother is and how he didn't even realize it. "Tsukasa… when did you become a pillar for wisdom?"

"A what? Are you okay Amane? Are you hurt?" He started searching everywhere for any wounds on his brother.

Amane deadpanned. "I'm fine Tsukasa I swear."

The teacher entered the class and asked everyone to sit down.

Amane sighed as he thought over what his brother said.

Lunchtime rolled around, Kou was preparing a surprise for Mitsuba who was being rather weird lately.

"What do you want hella lame traffic safety earring?" Mitsuba walked over to where Kou was sitting with his lunch.

Kou sweatdropped. "Well, I noticed you've been weird lately…"

Mitsuba had a poke face for about three seconds before erupting into a crying session. "I'M A MESS RIGHT NOW! I WISH I HAD KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT AND NEVER HURT NENE-SENPAI!!!"

Kou was taken aback by the sudden mood change. "Hey, Mitsuba! Calm down! Hey look at me okay-" He was interrupted by Mitsuba who hugged him tightly.

He rested his head on his chest. "Kou… what am I supposed to do?"

Kou felt his face heating up for some reason. "Why not talk to Senpai? I doubt she blames you- if anything she probably blames herself or something." He felt nervous all of a sudden.

Mitsuba looked up at him still in the same position. "I don't know how to face her…"

Kou didn't know why he felt extremely weird right now. "Just talk to her, you'll see!" He smiled at him.

Mitsuba held him tighter, feeling his own face heat up. "I'll try…"

They sat there in that position for a while, neither really wanting to move or do anything. Their faces kept feeling hotter and hotter to the point where they started to wonder if it was really hot outside.

Tsukasa who was walking by saw them and stared at them completely confused. He shrugged and went on with his day.

They did seem to like each other.

Mitsuba got up slightly to face Kou. "It's getting kinda hot out here huh?" He said, a blush clearly present.

Kou just stared at him, a blush also on his face, he wasn't sure what had gotten into him but it was like a slap in the face. He grabbed Mitsuba's chin and drew him closer to him.

"Eh? Kou-kun!?" Despite voicing protests he didn't really do anything to stop what was about to happen.

They shared a tender and rather short kiss on the lips.

They pulled apart and looked into each other's eyes before blushing madly and freaking out.

"Oh my god, Mitsuba I'm so sorry!" Kou yelled as he got up and went away 5 meters from Mitsuba as he hid his face in embarrassment.

"Oh my god, Kou I'm also sorry!" Mitsuba was trying to calm his beating heart. He felt completely breathless from what had just happened.

They stayed there for a bit before running away back to class.

Although it wouldn't help much since they both are in the same class… and sit next to each other.

Nene wasn't sure how she actually ended up here, cleaning toilets after school. She felt so bad about Teru still being injured that she knew an apology wasn't enough.

"Go clean the girl's bathroom then."

He said with a smile that Nene knew was not only forced but also to hide his annoyance. She's realized by now that Teru wasn't exactly all that prince-like.

Which didn't matter to her honestly, she only wanted to be with Amane. And also because she understood his rage. She and her friends managed to wrap him into a situation he never asked for or wanted to be part of in the first place.

She sighed not really knowing who's fault it really was. She knew now from Tsukasa that the relationship status was a prank for Natsuhiko and that Amane doesn't have anyone from school added on social media so they thought nobody would notice.

"I didn't know you were a stalker."

Nene felt embarrassed over that.

Then there was Mitsuba's lie that he told them and the fact that Tsukasa exposed it.

"I like causing chaos sometimes and I kinda knew it was fake anyway."

Nene felt her eye twitch in annoyance at that poor excuse. He did apologize though so there was that.

In the end, it all came back to the fact that she continued lying to Amane when they talked alone in the garden. She should have just been honest, her parents always told her that honesty was the best policy.

And she hated herself again.

"Nene?"

Nene looked up surprised to see Aoi looking at her worriedly.

"Aoi?"

Aoi walked up to Nene, she looked rather down which caused Nene some worry. "Are you upset with me?"

Nene was taken aback by this. "Why would I be upset?"

"Because it's kind of my fault." She held Nene's hands. "I shouldn't have decided to do anything, I could have just asked or something but instead I sent Mitsuba to go spy on them and he ended up making some lie because-"

Nene stopped her from saying anything more. "No Aoi, in the end, it was my fault… I should have been truthful to him."

Aoi hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry Nene-chan."

"It's okay Aoi-chan."

Nene felt relief knowing Aoi wasn't upset at her for some weird reason, she just felt guilty over a situation she never had any part in aside from the plans. In fact, Aoi was the first one to be upset with her for not being truthful.

Aoi ended up helping Nene out so they could talk together home since Akane had to stay for a bit for student council stuff.

They ended up running into a red-faced Mitsuba who looked completely relieved to see them.

"Oh my god, I'm so glad to see you two." He breathed in harshly as if he had been running all day.

"Are you okay?" They both said in unison.

Mitsuba shook his head. "I am not okay, I repeat, I. Am. Not. OKAY!" He dropped to his knees completely tired.

Nene and Aoi went to help him up, alarmed by the situation. They sat him down on a nearby bench and gave him some juice.

He drank it without hesitation. "First of all, I'm sorry Nene-senpai for everything I caused."

Nene shook her head and smiled. "It's okay Mitsuba I don't really blame you."

Relief washed all over his face upon hearing that. "I'm so glad." He hugged her tightly.

"Are you going to tell us what's wrong?" Aoi asked as she patted Mitsuba on the back.

Mitsuba blushed as he kept thinking about that kiss with Kou. "I… I think I like someone…" He admitted out loud, he quickly covered his face in embarrassment.

Nene and Aoi went wide-eyed but quickly started giggling.

"Hey, that's nothing to be embarrassed about," Nene said as she grabbed his hand. "Love is a very wonderful emotion."

He deadpanned. "I said I like them, not love them Daikon-senpai."

Nene head-butted him. "Shut up!"

Meanwhile, Kou was too embarrassed to talk to Teru so he decided to find the Yugi twins instead. Eventually, he found them both in the broadcasting club.

Natsuhiko had gone home early and Sakura excused herself to the bathroom so it was the perfect opportunity.

"I need you guys!" He yelled out.

Amane and Tsukasa just looked at him confused.

Kou sat down, elbows on the table, hands together and looking intently at nothing in particular. "I kissed a boy and I liked it!" His expression morphed into a panicked one as he grabbed his head not knowing how to feel.

He was confused!

Amane was confused as fuck but Tsukasa caught on due to having witnessed Mitsuba and Kou being rather close earlier.

"You kissed Mitsuba?" He asked.

Amane looked at him with a shocked expression. "Should I even ask how you know that?"

Tsukasa held his hands up. "Hey now, this time I was just walking by and saw them kind of cuddling together."

Kou felt like melting on the spot. "I don't know what came over me! And I didn't know who to talk to about it."

Amane related to that in a way, whenever Nene was close to him he always had that urge to kiss her and never let her go. "Well if you like him then I don't see the problem with confessing."

Tsukasa burst out laughing. "That's ironic advice Amane."

Amane glared. "Shut up."

Kou groaned. "I don't even know if he likes me that way, I kind of just kissed him out of the blue!" He hit his head against the table. "I'm a dumbass, I don't even know when I started liking him."

Amane shrugged. "It kind of just happens… I only met Yashiro-san once and couldn't stop thinking about her even though we never talked until years later."

Tsukasa narrowed his eyes and smirked at his brother. "He was obsessed with her honestly."

Amane blushed. "Shut up Tsukasa, what do you know?"

He chuckled. "I'm a free spirit, I like being single."

Amane rolled his eyes. "More like a chaotic spirit." He muttered and sighed. "Anyway, Kou just be honest with Mitsuba and don't beat around the bush and start lying to him."

Kou flinched at that as he noticed Amane was still upset with Nene. "Okay… you're right, it's better to be truthful." He smiled widely thinking of what he'll say to Mitsuba tomorrow.

Outside of school, Mitsuba was walking with Nene and Aoi who were giving him similar advice.

"Just be truthful to Kou-kun, don't be an idiot like me." Nene sweatdropped as she still felt upset about losing Amane.

Mitsuba looked at her sadly. "Why don't you try talking to him Nene-senpai?"

Nene shook her head. "He doesn't even want to see me!" She felt a part of her soul die.

An idea suddenly popped into Mitsuba's head. "I'll talk to Kou-kun if you try to talk to Amane-senpai tomorrow."

Nene looked at him in shock. "But I can't!" She felt her anxiety get the best of her.

Mitsuba grabbed her shoulders, he too was trembling. "Nene-senpai I'm really scared so please!"

She couldn't help but agree when looking into his watery eyes and vulnerable expression. She's giving advice she couldn't even follow that had caused a massive fall out, so she at least wanted Kou and Mitsuba to be happy. "Alright, I'll do it."

"Yes!" He started bouncing up and down really happy to hear her agree. "I'm going to confess how I feel and you'll try and fix your relationship with Amane-senpai."

Nene nodded rather quickly, she was sure she caused herself a headache. "I'm going to fix everything and never let Yugi-senpai go ever again!"

They were giving each other the pep talk of the century.

Aoi who was watching the whole scene felt rather envious at how strong her friends were…

If only she could be truthful to herself about her own feelings.
