Aoi couldn't look at anyone in the eye the next day as she kept replaying her mess up in her mind. What was even more embarrassing was the fact that she was exposed by the worst person ever.

Well, he wasn't bad but he certainly isn't someone you want to be around for too long.

Was that too mean?

Aoi hit her head against the table, she really hated herself right now and what's even worse is that Akane kept asking her if she was okay. Aoi didn't want to snap at him too so she asked to be alone… just for today.

He reluctantly accepted much to her surprise.

She kept a nice distance from Nene and Mitsuba in the coming weeks as they preferred to hang out with their respective boyfriend's. She wondered where the chaotic twin brother was, apparently hanging out with his broadcasting club friends.

Whenever club activities came around she'd participate silently without looking at anyone. She tended to flowers on her own and merely let Mitsuba take pictures and send them to her via email.

It's been 2 months now and she still can't accept everything that's happened so far.

"Aoi this has gone long enough! We need to talk!" Nene pleaded with her but she wasn't having it.

"Sorry, but I can't talk to you right now." She walked away but not before catching Akane's questioning look.

Ah, right he doesn't really know what happened since nobody really wants to tell him.

"Aoi-chan? What's wrong?" He asked her after school as they walked together like before. Now that Teru was better they could go back to normal…

"I'm just… going through some things." She said not really wanting to admit to more than that. She was jealous of her friend's happiness and that made her hate herself.

Akane wanted to ask for her to elaborate but he wasn't sure if she was ready for said elaboration. "Well… whenever you're ready to talk to me let me know okay?"

She nodded and smiled at him. "Thanks, Akane-kun."

But Akane knew that wasn't a real smile.

Next day in class…

Akane was desperate at this point that he was willing to take any chance and opportunity he can. Aoi was being too weird these days, she doesn't talk to Nene, she doesn't talk to Mitsuba and she barely even talks to him!

And her smiles are fake or forced.

Something was going on so he had no choice… he really didn't…

He was going to have to face Tsukasa.

He entered the broadcasting club, all eyes on him, Tsukasa was semi glaring at him.

Oh great, he can hold a grudge. He was glad Amane was here but he likely hates him for making his brother feel bad.

He walked in front of Tsukasa and practically got on his knees. "I need your help oh great wise one!" He's heard rumors about Tsukasa managing to fix the messes people create with his wisdom.

Granted they were probably exaggerating and… he's likely the one that caused them in the first place.

But he was desperate okay!

Sue him!

Tsukasa narrowed his eyes. "Help with what?"

"Aoi-chan has been acting weird lately! And she won't talk to me at all!" He got up and looked at him with a pleading look. "Please I need to know what's going on to help her."

Tsukasa eyed him up and down and then proceeded to laugh. "You really don't know? It's not rocket science Akane, she's jealous."

Akane stared at him trying to process what he just said. "Jealous? Of what?"

"Of the fact that her friends are in a relationship and she isn't." He shrugged. "I don't really care about how or what she feels, as long as she doesn't try anything to mess with Amane or Nene-chan."

Akane just stood there, mouth wide open in shock. "And you know this because!?"

He shrugged again. "Because it was so obvious with the way she's been acting."

Except nobody really knew how Tsukasa managed to figure it out since Aoi only started acting weird after she pushed Nene.

Akane's fist clenched as he felt extremely angry, why would Aoi be jealous of her friends being in relationships… unless… she's in love with someone…

Aoi in love with someone!?

Impossible! Unless…

He started to get fired up, not noticing everyone looking at him with a concerned expression. When it comes to Aoi he always loses his head, his cool, his everything.

Tsukasa facepalmed. "She's in love with you."

Everyone just stared at him again wondering once again how he knows that. Tsukasa just stared back in confusion.

"What? It's obvious."

No… it's not obvious Tsukasa.

However, this revelation made Akane's heart skip a beat. Aoi, in love with him? Could it be possible…

He suddenly fainted.

1 hour later…

When Akane came to he didn't expect to see himself on the floor of the broadcasting club while said members played board games completely unaware that he was up. He just stared at them deadpanned unable to process the fact that they really left him there without taking him to the nurse's office.

"You guys suck." He muttered as he got up from the floor.

Tsukasa rolled his eyes. "Suck it asshole."

Ah, right, how can Akane forget that Tsukasa still holds a grudge against him? "It's been months, get over it!"

He stuck his tongue out at him. "I'll get over it when you get over your obsession."

Translation, he'll never get over it.

He rolled his eyes and left the room in order to go find Aoi and have a chat about what she's been feeling and confirm whether or not what Tsukasa said was true.

As he left Amane looked at Tsukasa. "Are you ever going to forgive him?" He asked, curious about his twin's grudge.

Tsukasa shook his head. "Not really, he's lucky I'm too busy planning your wedding with Nene-chan to be able to plan his funeral."

Amane hummed and nodded, his brain not processing fully what his brother had just said. The metaphorical light bulb turned on as his face turned a scarlet hue and he gaped at his brother. "My what now!?" He hated to admit how high his voice had just reached.

Tsukasa smirked as he held up the bouquet of flowers he was supposedly helping Sakura with. "I bet Nene-chan will love these."

Lord help him.

Lunchtime…

Amane was pretty nervous about finally asking Nene on their first official date as a couple.

His brother made fun of him as always.

"Just ask her Amane, it's not that hard, its been two months you know, she'll get tired of waiting." He said not realizing his brother had been trying to plan the perfect date this whole time. "You guys are already together, just ask." He sipped on his juice as he half expected Amane to go on a rant.

And sure enough, he did, Amane couldn't help himself. "But Tsukasa! First dates are everything you know! I don't know where to take her at all! My mind goes blank on ideas!"

Tsukasa rolled his eyes. "Movie, restaurant, walk in the park, stuff like that come on Amane! I've never dated a girl and even I know this shit, didn't you take her to the movies and then to the arcade before?"

Amane waved his hands in the air frantically. "That's different!"

Tsukasa deadpanned. "HOW!? You two literally kissed when you guys went to the arcade too!" He pointed out.

Amane blushed, unable to respond. "Because!" He paused as he thought his words over. "We were just friends and… I kissed her on impulse!"

Tsukasa facepalmed. "It's the same fucking shit Amane, don't over complicate yourself."

Amane sighed in frustration. "Tsukasa the day you get a girlfriend you'll understand!"

Tsukasa merely shrugged. "Doubt it, lately I realized I have yet to feel anything."

Amane looked at him questioningly. "Are you into boys then?"

Tsukasa shook his head. "Nah, I think I'm just not attracted to anyone."

Amane thought for a bit over his brother's words. "Or you just haven't found the right person."

Tsukasa sighed as he looked at his twin with his eyes half-open. "Maybe but you know… maybe romance isn't for me."

Amane was concerned at his brother's words, if he knew Tsukasa was just that type of person he wouldn't question it but lately, he's wondering if he can't feel anything because he's stopping himself from feeling anything.

Ever since they were kids Tsukasa's full focus has always been him and only him because he was afraid to get too close to anyone or trust them. Even his relationship with their parents was rocky from the start. Amane knows he loves them but he's still afraid they'll leave.

"Tsukasa… are you still afraid?" He was worried that if he asked it would cause Tsukasa to spazz out and run away.

Tsukasa stiffened upon hearing that question. He definitely felt his body react but this was Amane- if he hurt his brother he would never forgive himself. "I don't know." His throat felt dry and he felt extremely uncomfortable.

Amane noticed this and immediately looked at him apologetically. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset."

Tsukasa quickly shook his head. "No, it's okay! I just… I don't want to be afraid and I definitely don't want to stop you from being with Nene-chan…" Nene was a nice girl for Amane, he definitely didn't want to be the cause they decided to stop seeing each other.

Amane grabbed Tsukasa's hand in order to comfort him. "Hey, we're brothers, remember? We'll always stick together no matter what." He hugged him tightly. "Even if Nene and I get married, I'll always make sure to have time for you, okay?"

Tsukasa never liked being vulnerable in front of others. "Okay…" But this his brother.

He's allowed to be vulnerable.

Nene worked in the garden with Mitsuba and Kou and chatted around a bit. She felt extremely sad about what's going on with Aoi…

Did it have to do with Akane?

"Can we talk about how you decided to join just because I'm here." Mitsuba joked as he took pictures of Nene's newest baby.

Kou blushed and looked away. "Well… I also did it so you guys can keep the club going."

Nene giggled as she wondered what happened to the broadcasting club. "Didn't Minamoto-senpai tell the broadcasting club that they needed a fourth member?"

Kou looked at Nene with a shrug. "I'm not sure, wouldn't be surprised if Amane-senpai ended up joining just so they wouldn't worry."

Nene hummed and nodded, definitely something her dear Amane would do. She could also ask him later anyway.

As they continued their work Aoi came by and started gardening by herself as usual. All three looked at her with sad expressions. Nene felt extremely stupid for not noticing how she was feeling.

Suddenly her vision was blocked by a pair of hands.

"Guess who?"

She giggled as she immediately recognized the voice. "Amane!" She turned around and kissed him.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his forehead on hers. "How's my lovely daikon doing." He teased.

Nene blushed and pouted. "Hey now! Don't call me a daikon."

Mitsuba snickered. "Just accept the nickname daikon-senpai." As he cackled he didn't notice Nene's death glare.

Amane chuckled. "You know I think they're cute."

Nene went full scarlet. "I know but still!" She hugged him tightly and looked behind him to see Tsukasa standing there awkwardly. "Oh Tsukasa-kun, I didn't know you were there too."

Tsukasa put his arms up and shook his head. "It's okay! Don't mind me, Natsuhiko has been sick lately so we're not doing many club activities." He shrugged and kicked a pebble.

Amane gave her a look of concern which she mirrored. She wondered why Tsukasa's mood has been dwindling for a while now. She wondered if he was also jealous like Aoi was… which would explain why he even knew what she was feeling in the first place.

Amane sighed and then smiled at her. "Say… I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date?" He was nervous as he looked at her awaiting her answer.

"Of course! Why would I say no?" She joked as she kissed his lips.

Amane felt relief wash all over him as Tsukasa snickered behind him.

"Told ya."

"Shut up."

Once club activities were over everyone walked home together, except Aoi of course, she walked with Akane, they had a lot to discuss after all.

Once they dropped off Nene the boys went their separate ways.

They finally got home, Amane unlocked the door and as soon as he did Tsukasa immediately took off his shoes and ran in tossing his backpack on the couch. Amane sighed at his recklessness. He closed the door and set their shoes to the side and walked upstairs to do homework before going on his date with Nene.

"You better do your homework Tsukasa!" He yelled as he opened their bedroom door.

"No promises!" He yelled back, he could hear the smirk on his face.

Amane rolled his eyes and closed the door and set down his things on his desk. While their room wasn't that big it was enough to have a bunk bed and two desks, space for each as their parents would say. Amane slept on the bottom and Tsukasa on the top. Amane's bed was full of space stuff and stars decorated his desk and everything he owned.

Tsukasa was more… creative.

He had a lot of art stuff spilled out on his desk and weird shapes glued around his bed. It was unorganized which messed with Amane a bit but he didn't want to anger his brother by cleaning up after him without his permission first.

He began his work wondering where he'll take Nene later.

1 hour and 30 minutes later…

Amane stretched his arms as he finished his work in record time. He heard the front door open signaling his parents were home from work.

"We're home."

After putting his books and journals away he walked downstairs to Tsukasa hugging his parents. He sweatdropped, he was such a baby sometimes. His parents didn't mind, if anything it made them feel reassured.

He looked at the time and quickly asked his parents for permission. "Hey, I asked Nene to go on a date with me… can I go?" He really should have asked permission first before asking Nene.

They looked at each other then smiled at Amane. "Sure! Just don't come home late okay?" His mom said smiling at him, she was glad he's finally social.

"Really? Thanks so much!" He quickly got dressed and was about to head for the door when his dad stopped him.

"Wait, you're taking Tsukasa with you."

"What!?" They both yelled out in unison.

"You're going with him." He said as he looked at Tsukasa sternly.

Tsukasa looked at him as if he grew two heads. "Dad… it's a date! You want me to be a third wheel!?"

"Yeah!" Amane agreed, he didn't plan for this! Nene would probably be annoyed if Tsukasa came along.

His dad shook his head. "He's going and that's final."

They both walked out feeling extremely stressed out.

Nene's apartment…

When he arrived to pick Nene up he felt even more stressed out when her dad opened the door and glared at him.

"Hello sir, I came to pick up Nene…" He smiled nervously.

Tsukasa wanted to laugh but he composed himself from embarrassing his twin.

Once Nene came out and reassured her father that she will not be late and that she's a big girl now and therefore can have a boyfriend, she closed the door and kissed Amane.

"This is going to be so much fun!" She wrapped her arm around him and began walking downstairs, failing to notice Tsukasa trailing them.

Once they were walking on the street Amane decided it was best to drop the bombshell. "So… I had no choice in the matter, I was forced I swear!"

Nene looked at him confused. "What?" She then looked behind them to see Tsukasa waving with an apologetic look. Nene wanted to be mad but the look on their faces said it all.

"I was forced to come here… but I won't ruin the date I swear! It'll be like I was never here."

Nene wasn't so sure about that…

And sure she was!

They were at the movies, Tsukasa sat on the row behind them in order to give them space. Nene was cuddling up to Amane as they watched the romance movie they had picked out.

Tsukasa was bored but munched on the popcorn as he watched the cheesy as fuck movie they decided to watch. It was so boring! He didn't want to protest since this was their date, not his. Not to mention had his father not been so concerned over his social life and loneliness he wouldn't be here.

Nene and Amane were trying real hard to ignore Tsukasa's occasional loud munching and groaning. He clearly hated the movie, that much was obvious. They also knew he didn't say anything against it in order to not inconvenience them… which is why they were putting up with this.

Once they left they felt extreme relief from that whole shit show while Tsukasa felt he had been released from utter torture.

Who knew dating could be this boring… and it's not even his date!

He trailed behind them from a distance as they chatted about where to go next in order to eat some dinner.

In the end, they decided on Windy's which Tsukasa actually liked because that place was just the bomb. He wondered if that's what influenced their decision.

Naturally, Tsukasa sat at a table away from them so they could enjoy themselves. He looked from a distance and felt bittersweet about the whole thing.

Nene couldn't help but notice Tsukasa's constant presence. "So why exactly did your parents make him come with you?" She whispered, even if he was two tables away she didn't want to risk him hearing her question.

Amane sighed as he thought of all the reasons. "Well, you know how Tsukasa has been rather weird… kind of like Aoi?"

Nene nodded, she figured maybe her theory was true.

Amane continued. "I think he's just sad things are changing and he probably feels lonely… and dad probably noticed."

Nene felt extremely bad for thinking of Tsukasa as a nuisance during this whole time. After all, he was trying real hard not to ruin anything.

God, she was selfish.

After having a conversation with Tsukasa months back, it should have been obvious that at one point he probably hated her for taking his brother's attention.

But as long as Amane was happy he didn't care how he felt, even if he felt extremely down.

Nene wanted to hit her head against a wall. She was dumb! This is probably how Aoi feels too!! Which is why she was acting like everything was okay.

Amane noticed Nene's internal struggle and quickly reassured her. "Hey, it's okay! Don't worry, I'll try having a serious talk with Tsukasa when I get home, I'm sure he'll finally tell me what's going on inside his head... eventually." Amane wasn't so sure these days, he wouldn't talk to him about his feelings anymore, not even to Sakura or Natsuhiko.

They even thought the twins had a fight but that wasn't the case.

Tsukasa just shut off from him.

From everyone really.

Nene sighed and put her head on Amane's shoulder. "I kind of feel like it's my fault."

"Why?" He looked at her confused.

"Well, you know… maybe I'm the third wheel." She admitted- the look on Amane's face let her know he didn't like what she was thinking.

"Don't say that… I love you Nene." He kissed her in order to calm her down, she likely also still felt bad about the whole thing with Aoi.

Nene was blushing as she kissed back. "I know… I love you too." They hugged and continued their date as normal. She felt better now that she had this talk.

Despite everything, they had a fun time running around and looking at the stars together.

It was just her and Amane.

And Tsukasa.

I wonder how many half expected a normal date for Amane and Nene lmao

There's nothing normal for this story! xD
