She felt her head spin out of control as she recalled her entire conversation with Akane yesterday.

"Someone told me you love me… is that true?"

She groaned, how did he even find out!? She was sure she was careful, there's no way for anyone to even know how she really feels.

Unless.

Tsukasa.

That idiot somehow always knew everything… but then again didn't he and Akane fight? There's no way he would help him unless he asked Amane who then would ask his brother to help him.

Because everyone knew that Tsukasa would be willing to do anything for his twin.

Probably even murder.

Not that she judges.

"Who told you that?"

She tried to pretend, she really did but every time Akane looked at her and even confessed to her she couldn't help but feel her heart flutter a million times. She completely understood where Nene was coming from when she always thought she was being weird with her obsession with Amane.

Truth is Aoi is kind of the same and it was embarrassing to admit.

She peeked out her window to see Akane turning off the lights and going to bed. She sighed as he closed the curtains not realizing Aoi was staring at him.

She hated herself and her extremely stupid attitude towards this whole ordeal. She's definitely an immature brat for pushing her best friend down to the ground because she was willing to admit her feelings.

Albeit after she messed up really badly but she was lucky Amane was able to forgive her stupidity.

"I found out… is it true or..?"

She couldn't really answer him so she told him to ask her later… like a brat…

She definitely didn't expect him to hold her close to him and whisper such sweet words to her…

"My love for you is real Aoi… please always remember that."

Aoi felt like melting right on the spot.

She wanted to give him billions of points, so many points! But she stopped herself as she smiled at him and merely nodded. She really hated herself.

She looked at her phone to see Nene's usual message.

From Nene-chan:

Today was our first date, he sure took his time to ask me!

Unfortunately, his parents forced Tsukasa to come along with us but he was nice enough to go do his own thing right after we went to eat Windy's

She giggled imagining Nene's perfect date being ruined by Amane's own sibling. All the teasing material she had!

Now if only she was brave enough to send her a reply.

She groaned as she was shaking and deleting message after message. It was simple! Apologize, let her know how she's been feeling and make it up to her in the form of doing all her work for a few weeks! Yeah, Nene would agree to that! Nene is a great friend and would no doubt forgive her right away…

But Aoi couldn't exactly forgive herself.

When Mitsuba arrived at school he didn't expect Kou to kiss him once he arrived. He blushed as everyone was just staring at them in shock, even Yokoo, and Satou!

When they started dating they decided to keep it low key since they were too afraid to come out right now, even to their parents.

Seemed Kou got over that fear.

"Morning." He smiled that cute smile of his that just made him melt.

"Kou! I thought we agreed to keep this low key." He scolded him despite his blush and smile on his face.

"I know but… I don't want to hide you." He admitted as he looked away embarrassed with a pink hue on his cheeks.

Dear lord, why is Mitsuba so lucky to have such a snack for a boyfriend!? "You're too cute Kou." He giggled as he kissed him ignoring the growing whispers from their classmates.

They held hands as they walked to their desks- completely ignoring some of the nasty glares they were getting. They didn't care right now, all that mattered was the fact that they had each other.

After class, they all decided to eat lunch together to try and organize a study date since final exams were coming up which meant- end of the school year.

"So whose house are we raiding?" Tsukasa asked as he sat down next to everyone at the table they were sitting at.

Everyone just stared at him for a bit wondering if he was joking or serious.

"Well…" Amane said breaking the silence. "Our house is kind of small, Mitsuba and Nene live in rather small apartments but Kou's house is a decent size so we're thinking of going there to study."

Tsukasa nodded following the explanation. " Alright, Kou's house it is then."

Kou sweatdropped at how fast they decided that. "I suggest we try and do extra studying here at school."

Everyone nodded.

Suddenly Nene felt a bit weird once the thought of final exams set in. "So next year… it'll be your final year won't it?" She asked Amane who was in the middle of eating his lunch.

He looked at Nene as the weight of her question set in. "Well… yeah but hey I'll call you every day!" He kissed her cheek in reassurance.

She smiled but still felt kind of odd. He'll be off to college soon which means he'll meet college babes with nice slim legs and big...

Big…

She slammed the table in fear. "NOOOOOOO!"

Everyone froze up and just looked at her as if she grew two heads.

"Nene are you okay!?" Amane grabbed her face to inspect her.

Nene was teary-eyed as Amane made sure she was okay. "You won't leave me for college babes with nice slim legs and big boobies right!?" She yelled out.

Amane went wide-eyed. "What!?" He hated to admit how high his voice went. "No of course not! I love you and only you Nene!"

Everyone else tried but failed to hold in their laughter, it was just too good to not laugh!

"Holy shit I did not expect this." Mitsuba cackled loudly as he high fived Tsukasa who was cackling just as loudly.

Kou normally doesn't find this type of stuff funny but Mitsuba's humor has been rubbing off on him these days.

Nene and Amane glared at them. "Shut up!" They yelled in unison, the three boys still wouldn't stop laughing.

Aoi, who was walking by trying to find Akane, noticed the group having a laugh fest. She felt jealous that she wasn't there to have fun. She held her lunch close to her and tried to walk by as quickly as she could but she was immediately noticed by the group.

"Aoi-chan!" Nene yelled out as she ran towards her with a smile.

It made Aoi feel nice.

"Come join us! We're going to have a study date for finals!" She grinned from ear to ear hoping she would say yes.

And she was about to yes but that fear of hers kept messing with her. "I can't." She quickly turned around and walked away leaving a very upset Nene who needed consoling from Amane.

After school…

Club activities were over for the day, Aoi walked home with Akane as usual. He kept getting impatient as he tried to figure out if Aoi really did love him or loved someone else. He couldn't exactly go against Aoi's wishes either as she really didn't want to talk about it.

Perhaps she does love someone else… and she confessed and they rejected her?

If so he has a murder to plan.

"Aoi…" He stopped walking, this was getting too much, it was eating at him.

Aoi looked back at Akane, the wind was blowing a lot today. "Yeah?"

In the end he couldn't respect her wishes as his curiosity was getting the best of him. "Do you love me?" He asked.

Aoi felt her heart stop before running a mile a minute at the question. "Akane… I thought I told you to ask me later…"

"Technically it is later…" He chuckled nervously.

Ah, he got her there. "Well… I do… but if we get married…" She cringed at the thought.

Aoi Aoi.

Akane felt like he had died and gone to heaven. Did Aoi really just say that!? Was he deaf!? Did she just say she loves him!? He… he…

He threw up.

"Akane-kun!?" Aoi immediately went to his side, she didn't expect this reaction from him.

"Sorry… you were just so cute I got sick…"

Aoi had no idea how that was possible but she wasn't about to question it. "Ah well…" She smiled at him. "I love you Akane-kun but… we can't get married and…"

Akane held her hand tightly. "Aoi-chan… why don't… why don't we just not get married then?" He suggested, as much as he would love to marry her, he knew why she was reluctant.

Aoi was taken aback by the suggestion, after all, Akane would always ask for her hand in marriage. "Akane-kun I-"

He interrupted her. "I know, you want to wear a lovely wedding dress one day but you know we can just make a fake wedding if you want, we can just say we're married even if it's not official."

Aoi went wide-eyed. "I…" She looked away as she thought of the idea. She could be with Akane without any problems, they don't have to be married to be together forever right? "Akane-kun, one billion points!" She hugged him tightly with the biggest smile she's ever had in her life.

Akane was frozen in his spot, Aoi gave him how many points!? "Aoi-chan!! I would kiss you but I kinda threw up just now." He was crying happy tears as he hugged her tightly. "Be my girlfriend!"

"Yes!" She didn't hesitate to answer him as she gave him a kiss on his cheek. No lip kisses for now it seems.

The next day…

Aoi and Akane walked into school holding hands. Everyone stared at them wondering if it was finally official. When they confirmed it a lot of Aoi's admirers cried in disbelief that their crush was finally taken and they no longer had a chance.

After all, it's Akane who she's with.

Despite Aoi's huge smile she still felt empty even if her desires were finally fulfilled. She needed Nene, that's what it all came down to.

So when lunch rolled around she walked towards the squad table, a nickname they decided to give, with Akane for moral support. She was a few feet away from her old friends as they tried to study for final exams.

"I don't know how fucking math works!" Tsukasa groaned as he buried his face in his notebook.

Amane patted his shoulder. "It's okay Tsukasa you'll get it soon."

Aoi breathed in and out as she walked towards them. "Hey…" She waved at them as they all looked at her in shock once they noticed her presence.

Nene immediately perked up. "Aoi-chan!" She immediately hugged her tightly. "I knew you'd change your mind-"

Aoi put her hand up in order to stop Nene's rambling. "Nene-chan… I'm really sorry for everything I did. I… I was jealous, super jealous even! Because you were able to admit your feelings to the person you love." She felt her cheeks get wet as her vision became blurry. "I hurt you… I ruined our friendship… please forgive me."

A part of Aoi hoped she wouldn't be forgiven, she did make her suffer a lot these past two months with her silence. But the other part did want things to get back to normal.

"Aoi-chan… you're such a dummy!" Nene cried out as she hugged her tightly, both girls crying out as they embraced.

"I'm so sorry Nene-chan!!"

"I'm so sorry too!!"

"Why are you sorry!?"

"BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW YOU WERE FEELING!"

"HOW WERE YOU SUPPOSED TO KNOW!? YOU CAN'T READ MINDS!!"

The boys stared at the scene as they sweatdropped at the girls practically apologizing to the other one million times.

Akane sighed as he smiled. "Well, it seems all is right in the world." He crossed his arms as he leaned back on the pillar behind him.

Tsukasa snickered. "You two get together already?"

Akane smirked as he adjusted his glasses. "As a matter of fact… WE HAVE!" He pointed at him dramatically.

Everyone stared in awe as Akane basked in his glory at finally being able to be with Aoi after all these years.

Nene and Aoi dried their tears as they sat down on the table to talk about what they missed these past two months.

"Man, almost all of us have gotten into a relationship." Mitsuba pointed, there were now officially three relationships going on in their friend group.

"We should organize a couples outing as a celebration!" Kou suggested, everyone immediately jumped on the idea.

"Oh my god yes! Since summer break is coming up we should go to the beach!" Nene took out a flyer from her bag. "There's even going to be a festival!"

They immediately started making plans and how much money everyone will contribute along with supplies. They were all excited at the idea of spending time together before starting a new year.

Everyone but Tsukasa, he suddenly felt awkward considering this trip was meant to be an outing amongst couples. He's officially the third wheel here. His gaze shifted from Amane to Nene who was planning on making lunches together with him for everyone in the group.

As long as Amane is happy.

But what about him?

He knew his parents weren't going to let Amane go on this trip without him, it'll ruin the point of the trip. Maybe he can organize something with Sakura and Natsuhiko? No, Sakura is a third year, she's likely planning college for next year and Natsuhiko has been studying a lot these days in order to follow her to her dream college.

Ah right… the broadcasting club will be no more once this year is over.

Maybe that's why he's been so emotional lately?

He'll have to say goodbye to Sakura who's always put up with him after all these years. Natsuhiko will still be around but it won't be the same, he'd likely agree with him as well.

They did always tell him that life was like that, it had its ups and downs but it didn't mean they would stop being friends. Either way, Tsukasa felt extremely empty these days. He was sure it couldn't be just that.

He'd dedicated his entire life to revolve around his brother Amane, now that he's moving on to better things where does that leave him?

The more he walked the further everyone got. Like chasing after someone who kept disappearing despite running with them at an even pace. He didn't feel great about his own situation, maybe that's why he's always trying to fix other people's messes, perhaps he'll find the answer to fixing his own one day.

Until then he had to continue pretending… for Amane.

"Ah wait, I don't think I'll be able to go." Amane sighed sadly as he closed the flyer.

"Why?" Nene asked sadness in her own eyes.

"It's a couples outing and my parents will likely make me take Tsukasa and I don't want him to feel uncomfortable." He explained as he eyed his brother.

The atmosphere suddenly became gloomy.

And it's all your fault Tsukasa.

He shook those terrible thoughts away as he thought of a solution. "Let's just lie, I'll tell them I'll go but instead I'll just go somewhere else, maybe Sakura and Natsuhiko are planning something as well, who knows, I can just join them if they are." He waved his hand dismissively as if telling everyone not to panic.

Amane suddenly narrowed his eyes. "But Tsukasa-"

Tsukasa interrupted. "No, it's fine." He said firmly. "Let's just pass our exams and you guys can plan your trip okay?"

The sudden tension between the Yugi twins didn't go by unnoticed.

Nene wondered if this was the start of something bad.

The following week…

Everyone tried their best to pass their respective exams. They would reunite at Kou's house to study every day and meet up at their usual table to do more studying.

Overall there was a lot of studying and it was starting to take a toll on everyone's brain.

"I feel like I'll go insane." Nene groaned as she closed her book.

"Agreed." Amane mirrored her and quickly wrapped his arms around her shoulder in order to cuddle close to her.

"I'm going to break." Mitsuba placed his head on Kou's lap who began to caress his hair.

"You'll be fine." Kou placed a kiss on his forehead.

Mitsuba felt like he was in heaven.

Aoi stretched a bit as she placed her head on Akane's shoulder. He didn't hesitate to kiss her on the lips for the millionth time today.

Tsukasa kept himself busy with the math book in his hands trying to not feel awkward.

Tomorrow was the final exam!

They all went home for a good night's rest.

And so came the dreaded day the next morning.

Exam day!

They weren't really sure how well they did, or how well they were doing but after studying together for a whole week they weren't about to back down.

All they needed was a passing grade, right? Enough to not take extra classes so they could enjoy their break and spend time together before adulthood came and buried everyone to the ground.

As the exam was ongoing Nene wondered how the others were surviving since she was stuck on a question. Aoi and Akane were unaware of the rest of the world as they quickly answered each question. The Yugi twins were silently supporting each other with side glances. While Mitsuba sometimes couldn't help but stare at Kou's back.

He looked handsome, don't judge him!

Plus he's not very good at English.

The bell rang and every student turned in their test hoping for good grades. The squad was mostly confident they at least passed.

Soon the scores were posted.

Aoi Akane: 100

Akane Aoi: 100

Yugi Amane: 90

Yashiro Nene: 85

Yugi Tsukasa: 80

Minamoto Kou: 75

Mitsuba Sousuke: 75

Everyone immediately congratulated each other on their success.
