A young Togruta kneels on the grassy fields of an unknown place. She examines the vast field in wonder at how pure everything looked. She knew her location to be earth, but unsure of what earth it is.
'I'm not sure whether to be honoured the council chose me, or be mad' the teen thinks. The rift was discovered by one of the clones by a accidental rift device that was created. Which was thankfully destroyed after the council decided to check the mystery purple and pink swirl.
"Skips. How's it going on that side?" Ahsoka pulled down her cloaks hood, looking at her master from the hologram
"I don't know. I ended up in a field. It's beautiful but, it just goes on for ages" Ahsoka moans. She looks behind her with a frown, knowing that the rift closed for who knows how long.
The man on the other side of the intercom chuckles sombrely "Hang in there Snips. We'll figure something out. You know I'll never leave you behind"
"I know Skyguy. I always have faith in you" she smiles.
"I've gotta go. I have a meeting I have to attend to. I'll talk to you soon" Ahsoka bids her master goodbye and begins her journey down east.
Ahsoka puts on her ring. She grimaces at having to not only hide her identity, but to cloak herself as a human. She didn't have anything against them, just preferred to be herself, a Togura.
"At least I still look good" she mumbles. Her skins about the only thing that stayed the same. Instead of orange, it became more of a brown colour. Her face markings remained but it wasn't permanent. Rex gifted her a helmet identical to her Montrals which she just put on. A grin spread across her face
"Pretty pointless having the ring if I still look like my race. But I guess my skin colour is indication enough that I'm not foreign" The teen dashed down the field using the force as a extra boost, running up a tree and hopping from branch to branch until there remained no tree.
Just as she hopped off the tree, she spun around midair and landed on the ground in a crouched position, facing two tall cloaked figures.
"Don't freight friend" one says, to what she knows to be an African accent.
"We're foes" the other says with also an African accent.
The two pull their hoods down to reveal one Asian woman and an African woman with tribal red and white paint.
The Asian's straight brown hair with black tips fell down to her buttocks, eyes nearly covered by her bangs. Her eyes stood out the most, right eye brown the other black.
The African woman possessed the same mismatched eyes but the other way, curly black hair with brown tips falling down to her buttocks. With the same small yet widish nose as the Asia woman. Her light chocolate skin and the Asian woman's light tan skin complimented each other beautifully, making them look like angels.
They both wore a long sleeved short black kimono with red flowers, plain yellow obi, mid thigh black socks with open toes for them to wear comfortably with their red getas.
With African red and black masks atop of their heads. Their masks are red, carved to a creature Ahsoka's never seen with black horns. Wearing Native American black and red earrings and necklaces. They had two blades on their right hip encased in their yellow cover.
'They're twins' Ahsoka awes, staring up at the 6'3 beautiful women.
"We won't reveal much to you to protect our people, but we will tell you this. While disguised as us, say you're from Zonke. A magical place hidden from the world, to protect the people from Sauran. He's been looking for us for years, trying to take our land for its resources, and to obtain his most powerful ring. And that you are one of our most strongest warriors and was sent to travel, deem if the world deserves to know of our existence.
We also need to you to go with the hobbit you will encounter and protect him. Trust me, your objective will be much easier going with him" the tan Asian woman says
"Why tell me this if you want to protect your people?" Ahsoka questions in confusion.
"Because we sense your goodness. You're one of the most purest people we've encountered outside our country. We can't speak to you for long, but keep going north and you'll arrive in Hobbiton" the African explains, pointing her finger behind the disguised Togruta. "We hope to see you soon" the twins bow and leave via the branches, jumping on each one in precision.
To Ahsoka's relief, the twins wore yellow tight bike shorts. She continued her path down where the black woman pointed for half an hour, amazed at infrastructure and nature surrounding the place.
"That's a village?" The teen says in awe. She ran towards the village covered in green. She saw a short man with the largest feet she's ever seen, sitting on his steps smoking away. She slows her pace and makes her way towards the short, curly haired man.
She waited for him to take notice, but his gaze stayed on the ground in thought.
"Excuse me sir"
His head and eyes raise to the source. His once neutral face twisted into one of shock. He blinked rapidly like he's seen some kind of unknown creature. She rose her black rounded eyebrow.
"Is there something or someone behind me I should be worried about? Or, you've never seen someone like me?" She asks, hoping to the force it was the latter.
He stuttered "I- I -no no ahhh" he stood up quickly looking around his surroundings. "I-it's just you" she replies with yes with furrowed eyebrows. His wide eyes end up on the towering teen. They stared at each other in an uncomfortable silence.
"I've never seen someone like you in my lifetime. Nor heard about your race"
Ahsoka's lips rose in mischief. 'What's the point of pretending to be human if they don't exist?' As she was about to take off her ring, she froze.
"You look like man" Ahsoka pushes the gold ring down on her middle finger in disappointment.
'I guess I could still take my ring off and pretend like I'm a hidden race. But there's a lot of ways that can go wrong' the teen nods at the short mans claim.
"And you look like dwarf" she half jokes. Hoping he'll tell her his race.
"Hobbit" he replies with a nervous grin. "Is there more men with your colour Miss?" He curiously asks, examining the teen. "Nice helmet by the way"
"Thank you sir. Before going into detail of my race, let me introduce myself. I'm Ahsoka Tano" she introduces, waiting for the man to shake her hand. He takes it with a genuine grin
"Biblo Baggins. Please, come inside"
OoO
The two sat opposite each other in the dining room, discussing Ahsoka's "life". Biblo wore his pyjamas and dressing robe over beforehand to prepare for the long story.
"I never knew there were people with your skin! It's astounding! You're astounding! I've never heard of a warrior so young in my life. I find it cruel though. I feel like you being an orphan was an advantage to the man that trained you"
The dark skinned teen shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "I actually love being a warrior. Do you know anywhere I can stay at temporarily?" He shakes his head.
"We don't have any inns. But, if you would like, you may reside here"
"Are you sure Bibo? I don't want to make you uncomfortable in your own home" she says in guilt, taking off her headpiece and putting it in her bag.
His gaze lingers at her hair in fascination "I've never seen anyone with hair like yours" he gawks "it's beautiful. You must be important to have so many braids" Ahsoka smiles with a light blush and thanks the man.
"But you must not worry. I could never allow a sweet girl like you to sleep in the wild" He reassures her. "Perfect timing. Food should be ready"
The hobbit came back with two plates of fish, potato, carrot and broccoli. Ahsoka thanks him for the food as he sets the plate in front of her. He sits opposite her and gives her other half of the Lemmon. As they're squeezing it on the fish, a soft bell resonated in the house.
"Expecting anyone?"
The hobbit furrows his eyes "not that I remember"
Ahsoka snakes her hand in her open black backpack, grabbing her dagger in precaution.
"Dwalin, at your service" not feeling any hostility from the guest, she returned it with a sigh.
She ate the food blocking out the conversation in respect.
"Whose this?" A gruff voice asks in surprise. He took a seat in front of the teen to Biblo's displeasure, examining her features.
"Ahsoka Tano. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance" she nods
'Now he, he's definitely a dwarf'
He smiles at the teen "As much as I'd love to talk more, I'm quite ravished" the man begins eating Pippin's food in delight. The togruta giggles and eats her food. She'd offer, but she doubted he'd accept the half eaten food.
The dwarf moans in satisfaction "Very good. Anymore?"
"What? Oh yes. Yes. Ah" the hobbit stood up to grab a basket full of bread, hiding one behind his back. Ahsoka bit her tongue to contain herself and gives the home owner a knowing look. Which he returns by widening his eyes.
As he finished his bread, the hobbit stood hovering the muscular man. "Hmm you see, it's just that, I wasn't expecting any company" Ahsoka rose her eyebrow to the man sitting in front of her, who just shrugged.
"That'll be the door" he answers, with his mouth full.
'I better stay on guard' the teen got up and grabbed the two plates, washing it from the sink. 'Medieval yet modern. Weird'
OoO
Ahsoka stood uncomfortably besides the kind man who's allowing her to stay. She hated being the centre of attention.
"Magnificent. I've never seen any race with your complexion on this earth. And I've been living in it for more than 2000 years now"
Ahsoka gapes at the old man in surprise "I've never heard about anyone living for so long"
"I bet you haven't heard anything. Your people have been in hiding for years. I doubt you know about the elves" Balin says
"Umm elves? As in, people with pointy ears?" She answer/questions. The people present laugh hysterically at her description on elves.
"We have to take her with us brother!" Fili says, midway through laughing
"I always knew we needed an extra member to join in on our mischief"
"They're immortal girl. They have great spead, flexibility and strength. Even magic! Great warriors, but cocky. Think they're better than everyone" Dawin practically growls out.
"I've been around people like that. You just gotta show them whose boss" Ahsoka says, giving the dwarf a smirk. She punches her palm to demonstrate her point.
The dwarves laugh and agree, yelling "yeahh" as loud as they could
"If they weren't so good at archery I would" he replies in amusement at the girls rather manly act.
"What's been dawning on me is that you're a warrior. Women aren't fighters!" Bofur laughs along with the other men. All but Biblo and Gandalf
Ashoka frowns at the man "You won't be saying that after tomorrow" she smirks, narrowing her eyes
The men ooo and laugh harder at the girls claim.
"Alright lass you can show us tomorrow" Glòin says.
"I'll show you throughout the whole trip because I want to be Biblo Baggin's guardian"
They laugh even more, only to be silenced by Gandalf.
"You may journey with us Ahsoka" she smiles up at the wizard and bows
"Thank you Gandalf" the Wizard smiles in surprise at the lady's courtesy.
"Well, I only have one contract and it's for you Biblo. But I guess you can both sign it" Balin says, handing the hobbit the contract. They walk right outside the large dining room reading the contact. The hobbit faints at the older dwarfs explanation.
OoO
Ahsoka slept peacefully on the single bed of the spare bedroom. She sleeps on her back with her leg hanging from the side of the bed along her arm.
"Ahsoka!"
"Mmm one more hour master"
"Master?! Ahsoka get up were late!" The hobbit yells in her ear. The Jedi groans
"Haven't even had a shower yet" she grumbles, sitting up from the bed with a pout.
"Well young lady, we have no time. Sign this" Ahsoka obliges and signs the contract.
"How about this, you go and catch up with the others and I'll shower and catch up with you guys after I'm done? I'll even lock your house up" the hobbit hesitantly agrees and bids the teen goodbye.
OoO
"You caught up to us quickly" Dwalin says "You came exactly 35 minutes after Biblo. You women tend to take your time so I know for a fact you were running like a chicken"
"You're actually right. But I decided to be quick and take 20 minutes to bathe and soak. 5 minutes to get ready and another 10 to get here. As a warrior, I've got to be quick" she snarks
"I've never seen such a helmet and attire attire" Kili mused in interest. The teen wore her usual combat outfit. Black leggings, high collared sleeveless dark blue dress that reached mid thigh with grey and blue padding on her hips, reaching just below her dress. She wore blue and grey forearm protectors and what could only be described as dark grey metal boots.
"Stylish but protective" she quipped
"Can I wear your helmet" Fili asks in awe. Where ever her people lay, he wanted to visit and experience the new culture.
"Perhaps I'll allow you to tomorrow"
"Not even the elves wear such fine material and armour. After all this is over, please, allow me into Zonke. I'd love to get to know your culture and meet your king"
"Of course Gandalf. Anyone will be lucky to be graced by your presence" the wizard chuckles as a blush adorned his cheek, thanking the foreign woman.
"Would you like to ride with me Ahsoka?" The kind man asks. She kindly rejects his offer.
"Maybe later. I want to get a feel of my surroundings and do some warmups"
The trio look at each other in confusion "How can you warm up while we're moving?" Thorin asks in confusion
"Must be a female warrior thing" Glòin snickers
she pulls out two 20 inch thin grey glades from a thick black case. She sticks the cover on her back which astounded the fellowship how magnetic the back seems to be. Without warning, Ahsoka performs moves that none of the men have seen.
"Incredible" Thorin awes. If only they could stop their horses to watch the teen, but they had to keep going. There was to be no delay to their quest.
Ahsoka spun her wrist in a circular motion which also spun the blades around in a quick motion that was hard to see.
Her front leg stretched out straight in line with her stomach, back leg bent, giving her a solid stance that gave her the look of an arched bow.
Like an arrow, she shot forward with the left blade slashing the air then the red. She crosses them together like a foe was in front of her, dropping low to the ground and swiping at the feet. Like she's blocking something, her blades moved up and down - right blade going up and left down in speed.
She then clashed with the air moving back, jumping as high as Gandalf when he stood, kicking the air (what the men could only guess to be the head) repeatedly. She runs faster than an elf to a metre in front of Gandalf, with the left blade in and right blade outstretched from behind.
She jumps and twirls mid air with her foot out to land a kick, then duck as soon as she lands on the floor.
"How did she land so quick?!" Balin asks in awe.
She jabs the right sword to her opponent then goes back to the defensive. She moves left, right, then behind the invisible foe and kicks up high. Then the elegant slashing of air began. Her training kept on for the 2 hours of their journey to their absolute shock horror. They certainly did not want to go to war with a race of warriors.
Ahsoka sighed in tiredness and threw the swords up together, landing in their case on her back. and attached her arms and legs, twisting her torso and cracking her back. "That was well needed"
"You're amazing!" Dwalin says
"How the bloody hell are you so quick?" Fili asks in awe
"How can you fight with two swords like that?!" Bofur asks
"Can you teach us?" Kili asks in excitement
"I've never seen anyone so flexible" Biblo explains in surprise
"And to think we made Biblo the burglar" Gloin scoffs, making the hobbit grease the back of the dwarfs head. "Her stamina's exceptional"
"It takes more than just skill to be an exceptional fighter. How long have you been training?" Thorin asks in awe
"Since the age of three"
The men gasp in surprise. The facial features forge into one of anger at the thought of someone so pure being trained at such a young age. They couldn't imagine someone with her skills to be trained so lightly either.
"It's okay though! It's customary where I'm from to train children that show promise. Those that are orphaned get to live there and call it home" Ahsoka explains to ease the men's worry
"It may be so. But it does not make it right Ahsoka" Gandalf says in disappointment, shaking his head at the thought.
'Maybe I can do something to change that' he thinks, grinning at the thought of being the first person in foreign land.
OoO
Ahsoka lays her back against the tree, sleep not consuming her yet because of the different time zones. And also the screeching what she learnt to be the cry f the Orcs. She tilts her head up to stare in the stars, thinking of her home, the war, and of Anakin.
She's never seen so many stars from earth, memorising the beauty of the sky. She listens to the white bearded Hobbit's story on their failed attempt of reclaiming the ancient Dwarf Kingdom of Moria in sadness.
She didn't believe in discrimination, but for some reasons these Orcs all seemed terrible. Especially this Azoc man. Promising to wipe out all of Durin. Holding up the head of Thorin's father for all to see.
She understood the feeling of grief. But couldn't fully reciprocate how he felt at as her parents death was so long ago, even revenging them.
But at some level she could relate. She's watched countless of people perish for their cause, even people she classified as friends.
"He stood alone against the terrible foe, his armour tent wielding nothing but a Oakwood branch as a shield. Azog the defiler learnt that day, that the line of Durin would not be so easily broken. Our forces rallied and drove the Orcs back. Our enemy had been defeated. But there was no feast, no song that night for our dead were beyond the count of few. We few had survived
And I thought to myself then, there is one that I could follow. There is one, I could call king" Ahsoka grins sombrely, looking down at the King.
"I honour you, King Thorin. It's not easy, watching the people perish from evil. But I Ahsoka Tano, promise you that I will do my all to protect all of you, and take over your kingdom and restore the land"
They look up at the teen with a grin, and nod. Hope rising up.
"You may be skilled in swordsman ship, but it won't take you far" Thorin replies grimly
"There's more i can do but swing a sword. I'm not ready to reveal it yet, but in time, I'll show you my true strength"
The fellowship look at each other in wonder, with the same question running through their mind. What's her true strength? Ahsoka walks near the edge of the branch, looking at the figures on the opposite side.
'Orc' she knew they probably couldn't see her, but she sneered at them.
Waiting for them to finish answering Biblo's questions.
"We must move soon. They're here" she says snides, jumping off the branch and grabbing her bag from the ground.
Gandalf looks at the other rock top with narrowed eyes, frowning in distain.
The other men look at each other anxiously, putting their guard up.
"I believe we should leave in an hours time" Ahsoka says, leaving no room for any argument.
OoO
She gives her black raincoat to the stubborn black haired dwarf who thanked her, also giving her spare to the hobbit to his confusion.
"It's not raining" He states in confusion
"It will soon" Thorin answers
They gaped at Ahsoka's black umbrella, asking her how they even came up with such an idea to which she shrugs to. "It's rains often enough for someone to come up with it I guess
Three hours later, rain begins fall from the orange sky. Since she's riding with Gandalf, she sits sideways in front of him with an umbrella hovering over the two.
"Now that is unfair!" Bofur explains. "You two get sheltered while we get pelted"
"Maybe if you were riding with Ahsoka Master Bofur, you would be privy to the protection" Gandalf rebuts in amusement. Glad to not have the rain make him more cold than he already is. Glad to have the girl so close to him to receive her body warmth.
OoO
Ahsoka wakes up from the best sleep she's had since last week. Yawning and stretching which alerted her companions of the now awake foreign.
"Morning" she yawns, sitting up with her arms supporting her up. They laugh and tell her it's night, to which she corrects herself and says "Good Night" to their amusement.
"Where's Gandalf" she asks, looking around for the old man.
"He went goodness knows where to get a break from us. We may of tipped him over the edge from our stubbornness" Bombur answers sheepishly. "But don't worry, he'll be back"
"Don't get your hopes up"
"You should have more faith Thorin. You shouldn't always be so bitter and apathetic"
"You don't know what I've been through!"
"I heard enough TO KNOW" she yells "You're one of the strongest people I've encountered Thorin. After everything you've been through, you got back on your feet and protected your people, fought evil.
You're even going to reclaim your home where a dragon resides. Not many people would go take over their home with a dragon in it" he looks down with a small grin at the praise, but then frowns
"I'm not bitter nor apathetic. Grieving takes time. Especially when nearly your whole race is nearly extinct" he replies, ending their conversation.
"I'm going to find some firewood, I'll see you guys later" Ahsoka leaves her bag with the group, going a random way and memorising her surroundings.
2 hours goes pass and she finally finds some, gathering the large pile of wood and waking back to the camp.
"Yeah, I know I know I was gone for a long time" she giggles dropping the wood. She puts her hands on her hips with furrowed eyebrow. "What trouble are they in now" she sighs, using the force to locate the group.
OoO
Ahsoka held in her giggle at seeing her friends yell out they're full of parasites
"I've got parasites as big as my arms!"
"I've got the biggest parasites they're huge parasites!"
"We're riddled"
"Yes we are"
"Very badly"
"What do you have us do, let them all go?" The troll clearly in charge asks
"Well..." Biblo trails off, bobbing his head to the side. Ahsoka shakes her head
'Those creatures aren't that foolish Biblo"
"This little ferret is taking us for fools"
"Fools?"
Ahsoka sends a wink to the old man running towards her in urgency, already knowing the others are in trouble. She quickly on the huge rock "It's a shame you'll never get a taste of em lad"
Too quick for the trolls eyes, she slices the one with the sleeveless jacket head, moving over to the one with the apron by flipping off the falling troll and stabbing his chest facing the ground, dropping to the ground and making her way to the one who she knew was about to use Biblo as a bargaining chip.
That troll took quick steps towards the hopping hobbit with his arm out. He screamed at having his arm cut and stopped once her sword went through heart.
"AHSOKAA!" The men scream in joy, glad to see their saviour.
"You're truly a blessing in disguise" Fili says.
"She truly is" Gandalf says, smiling as he walked towards the bagged men.
"Where've you been?" Kili asks
"Around. You're lucky Ashoka was behind that rock. My old legs can't run that fast you know"
"But did you see her slaughter those trolls?! I've never seen a kill that fast in my life! Not even the Orcs saw it coming!" Kili laughs stretching his freed limbs.
"She's been training since she was three. What do you expect?" Dwalin says, also stretching and helping to free the others out.
"When we have the time, I'm going to do a lesson. Biblo, you sir will need to attend. I'm not taking no for an answer" Ahsoka says, smirking at the gaped man.
"B-but I don't even have a blade"
"Don't you worry about that Master Biblo. You will soon" Gandalf says with a smile, leading them to their next destination.
