chapter 1
Leo lived his life on a ship faced with many problems. He hated the fact that his fellow animals had to live through this, with some teamwork from him and the other animals they defeated the evil Mumm-Ra and crashed in a desert. Everyone was alright. "That was too close for comfort," Tygus said. "I got sand in mouth," he said spitting.
"Gross," Rezard said.
"Look at this we better make sure we have enough supplies for everyone." Leo said.
"We do," Shen said.
The animals knew they had to stay together for now. They traveled for days in the desert. Then finally they made to lush grass land. They were relieved when they found water and food. Panthera looked around. "Something wrong?' an elephant asked.
"I got a funny feeling," Panthera said. "It's like we are being watched," she said.
"You aren't the only one with that feeling," Shen said.
Then men with guns appeared. "I never seen animals like these, you think they will catch a good price on the black market?" one of them asked.
"I believe so," the head one said.
"It sounds like they are planning selling us," Leo said.
"They won't on my watch," Tygus said. "You better back off we don't want to hurt any one," he said.
Then hunter shot at Tygus and hit him in the leg. "Argh!" Tygus said.
"Tygus!" Leo said.
"It hurts, man this hurts worse than time I took that grenade to the face." Tygra said.
A medic was placing pressure on Tygus' wound. The animals soon form a defensive circle ready to protect any animal from the hunter's guns.
"I heard a gun shot," a ranger said.
"Must be those poachers we were looking for," another ranger said.
They ran and saw the Leo and his friends and the poachers they arrested them. The medic finish bandaging Tygus' leg. Tygus precede to stand but his leg hurt really bad and he felt dizzy from blood loss.
"No Tygus stay down," the medic said.
"I never seen animals like you all before," the rangers said.
"How we got here is a long story," Leo said. He told them their story.
"Well I hope you all will feel welcome here on earth." the officer said.
"Earth," Leo said.
The soon the leaders of the world met and welcomed the animals to earth. They taught their new friends about languages of the planet. About science, literature, history, government, economics, art, math, and much more.
Many of them found places to stay. Most of them found homes right away. Leo still needed a place to stay. Then a met someone his name was Jonathan. "Leo if need a place to stay you can stay with me," Jonathan said.
Leo saw many things in Jonathan's home. He was curious about many things and had lots of questions. "Is something bothering you Leo?' Jonathan asked.
"Yes I have been having many questions, like I feel something is missing from my life, I always wondered about when look at you humans and my kind and all the animals on your planet, I was wondering how it came to be, I here many people say it took millions of years but I am not sure, I feel like something else happened I have many concerns about life and what I should do make it more meaningful," Leo said.
"I understand your questions Leo," Jonathan said. He got up and got something. It was worn out book. He handed it to Leo.
"What is this?" Leo asked.
"It's the bible," Jonathan said. "Maybe you should read it and take your time it has the answers." he said.
Leo opened the bible to the first page Jonathan was there when he started reading. Leo was amazed by it. Over the coming months Jonathan helped Leo read the bible and did a bible study with him.
"Leo I think it's time for you to come to church with me," Jonathan said.
"Um okay," Leo said.
Jonathan took Leo to get some nice Sunday clothes. He tried on several different shirts and pants and found some he liked. He even took Leo to get his own bible. Leo chose one and paid for it.
On Sunday morning Jonathan woke Leo up. Leo showered, got dressed, brushed his hair and teeth and was now ready. He grabbed his bible and got into the car with Jonathan.
When he got there he saw many of his friends there. "It's good to see you guys here," Leo said.
"It's good to see you here too Leo," Tygus said.
Then Leo saw Clawrita. He came up to her. "Hey Clawrita," Leo said.
"Oh hello Leo," she said.
"I am glad you are here," Leo said.
"I am happy to you are here," Clawrita said. "Well I better head off the ladies class." she said.
"Okay," Leo said.
Jonathan came up. "Who were you talking too?" he asked him.
"Oh Clawrita I know her, we knew each other since we were kids," Leo said.
"You like her don't you?" Jonathan asked.
"Yes, I care about her very much, but I doubt she thinks of me that way," Leo said.
"You never know," Jonathan said.
Leo listened to every word of the men's class. Then came the worship service and there was singing and the communion came Leo listened once more the gears in his head began turning more and more. He listened to the sermon. He was amazed he hung on to every word.
After that Leo started to study his bible every day for a couple of hours. The gears in his head continued to turn he saw his friends who were having the same thing. They had so much to think about. They all studied their bibles together.
Finally around May Leo finished the last page of his bible. His gears continued to turned as did his stomach as he looked through it one more time then after reading the whole bible in three all nighters it clicked. Leo understood that the answers he was looking for was in the bible, he could be something better by living in Jesus.
Jonathan was with him when he came to the conclusion. "I see it now, I understand, without him, without Jesus I am lost with him I am saved, with him I can be the person I am meant to be," Leo said.
"So you found your answers," Jonathan said.
"Yes I realize I did many wrong things when I was serving under my master, I realize if any one deserves eternal torment I do," Leo said.
"It's a lot to take in Leo," Jonathan said.
"I want to repent," Leo said.
"That's good," Jonathan said.
"I feel I should be baptized." Leo said. "I feel ready, to accept Jesus into my heart," he said.
That Sunday Leo was nervous and came confidently to the preacher and told him was ready to accept Jesus into his heart be baptized Clawrita was there to and asked the same thing.
Leo was soon standing the water. "Leo do accept Jesus as the son of God and that he died for your sins?" the preacher asked.
"Yes," Leo said.
"I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ and the holy spirit," the preacher said and dunked Leo into the water and pulled him out.
Soon Clawrita was baptized and they hugged.
Leo felt like a new man.
Finally one day in June Leo got up the nerve to ask Clawrita out. Leo was getting ready for his date. He was ready he and Clawrita enjoyed their date. Soon their dating became regular.
They spent year and half together.
Leo was looking in jewelry store. He had been saving up parts of his paychecks from working as a manager in a local store for six months because he had a feeling Clawrita was the one. He looked at all the rings and saw the perfect one. He picked it out. He then paid for it. He was ready to propose. He took Clawrita out on a date and then got down on one knee and showed her the ring. "Clawrita will you marry me?" Leo asked.
"Yes!" Clawrita said and hugged him.
Jonathan was happy for Leo.
The wedding plan had begun Leo and Clawrita were very excited and then the wedding day came.
Leo was nervous standing at the altar. He watched as Clawrita came down the aisle and he took her hand. The preacher read the bible and went through the vows.
"Leo do you take Clawrita Litla as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, for better or for worse for as long as you both shall live?" he asked.
"I do," Leo said.
"Clawrita do you take Leo Roarson as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse for as long as you both shall live?" he asked.
"I do," Liosia said.
"I pronounce you husband and wife," the preacher said. "you may kiss the bride," he said.
Leo and Clawrita kissed and it was a big celebration.
Soon Leo went to college and got a degree in teaching he was now a fourth grade teacher. Clawrita was not looking for a job so she decided to stay home.
Soon their lives will change.
