Lena:
It's been 3 days since I met Stef and she gave me Mr snuggles. I was scared at first being in a completely new state. My mom had left Yesterday. My Aunt decided to take me to look at this school that she heard great things about. It was very colorful. So she decided to register me at that school. Even though my aunt is very cool I will still miss my mom gratefully but she promised to visit on the holidays and my birthdays. After we got home an hour later I was in my room playing with my toys when there was a knock on the door.
"Hi, Mike," Stacy said
"Hi. Stef wanted to know if she and Lena can play this afternoon?"
"Sure come on in. Is your mom and aunt home?"
"No my aunt is working and my mom is at an acting school. They both won't be home till 6 they gave me money to order pizza because they will be too tired to cook."
"Stef can stay here and play with Lena."
Stef came to my room with a bucket full of big blocks.
"Hi, Lena. You wanna play with my blocks? I brought them over so we can play with them."
"Okay."
"I like us to be friends."
"Friends?"
"You know friends. 2 people that play together all the time at each other's houses."
"Oh okay."
"So you wanna be my friend?"
"Sure."
"I hope you can go to my school."
"My aunt saw 1 today."
"Did it have rainbow seats in the cafeteria? Did you hear music playing in a hallway?"
"Yeah."
"That the school I'm going to. We can see each other all the time."
We continued playing all afternoon with different toys and Stef kept asking me questions and I could only come up with 1-3 word answers or curious words of what she said and she explained the word best she can with her 7 year old knowledge that she had.
Becky:
I was only in my 3rd year of resident that I worked at it was 3:15 and I just got out of surgery and I looked at the board and didn't see my name on any more surgeries for the day and the 1 surgery I was supposed to do at 4 was canceled so I got out 2 hours earlier than when I was supposed to get out I didn't call home to tell the kids I was coming home early. I figured I would surprise them and instead of ordering pizza, I would make homemade pizza instead. I get home a quarter to 4 and I don't see Stef anywhere and I see Mike's door is closed so I open it to see if Stef was in there and I see Mike having Sex with a Girl.
"WHAT THE HELL MIKE!"
I leave his room and I figured this is gonna be a long night especially when Sharon gets home. So I decide to call Stacy and she picks up on the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Stacy its Becky from next door. Is Stef over there with you?"
"Yes, she and Lena are playing very nicely together. You want her home now?"
"No. She fine over there. I know I said I want her in the house at 5 but do you think you can keep Stef over there tonight and I will bring a bag of pj's and clothes over there?"
"Of course it's not a problem."
"Thanks, I appreciate it because when her mom gets home we need to have a serious talk with Mike and I don't think Stef should be around for it."
"Okay."
I get off the phone and go to Stef's room and make an overnight bag for her with her pj's and clothes for tomorrow and her teddy bear that she always sleeps with and then I go over to Stacy's and give her the bag and tell her that Stef never sleeps without her teddy bear then when I go back inside I see the Spanish girl leave. Mike came out of the room.
"I'm sorry Aunt Becky."
"Mike we are going to wait for your mother to get home to talk about this."
"But she won't be home till sometime after 6 and Stef will hear it all."
"Don't worry about Stef right now it's taken care of."
Sharon gets home around 6:30 and doesn't see Stef anywhere and she comes into the living room where I am sipping on a soda?
"Becky where is Stef?"
"She next door for the night."
"Why?"
"Because I asked Stacy to keep her over there for the night because we need to have a serious talk with your son."
"What he do?"
"He didn't think I was going to get home early and I found him having sex. What if Stef was here and she saw that?"
"He should be grounded for being irresponsible"
After we had our dinner in an awkward silence we have a long talk with mike and there is a little bit of yelling between him and Sharon and he gets grounded for being disrespectful by talking back and being irresponsible.
