Stef:
It's been 3 days since I started 1st grade and my teacher already started giving homework. I slept at Lena's twice already and she slept at mine once. She still doesn't talk a whole lot but she starting to speak more to me. We were at recess playing tag together and laughing having a great time. Then After Recess, we had art class together and we were sitting together doing our drawings. Lena had trouble staying in the lines still I did a little better but still not that great. After school, I went home did my homework. Then Lena came over and we played in my room quietly with the door closed.
"Lena wanna play tea party?"
"I like that."
"Okay. I'm glad you're my friend."
"I'm glad you my friend too."
I set up the tea table and we start playing. After an hour of playing, I see Lena yawn.
"Tired?"
"A little I couldn't nap during nap time."
"How come?"
"no bed."
"Lay on my bed."
"Okay."
Lena lays on my bed and I sit next to her with a book so I read for a bit and Lena falls asleep then my mom comes into my room.
"Stefanie baby?"
"Shhhh she's sleeping."
"Oh okay, baby. Dinner is soon."
"Okay."
Lena's aunt said Lena could have dinner with us so we had dinner then my aunt took Lena home after we ate well my mom helped me with my bath. Then I went to bed. We have been going to school for a few weeks now and it was Halloween. I was dressed up as Bugs Bunny and Lena was Tweety Bird and Mke took us trick or treating and he went as a gorilla. We got a lot of candy there were a lot of colorful leaves on the ground and we were kicking them as we walked because it was fun to do. We got home around 8 it was the only night our aunt's let us stay out past 5. Our Aunt had sorted our candies to make sure it was good for us. After Lena went home for the night I took a bath and went to bed. That weekend Lena played with me at my house and we were very giggly she was starting to become my best friend and I was enjoying it a whole lot.
It was my 8th Birthday and Lena was over and my mom had a barbeque for me and lots of new toys for me. My aunt Becky had a friend over her name was Monica and she was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt and I shook her hand.
"Hi, I'm Stef the birthday girl."
"Well Happy Birthday to you" Monica said to me.
"Thank you. How come you're not wearing a dress or skirt when you a girl?"
"That's because I don't like them. I'm comfortable like this sweetie."
"Can I try an outfit like that auntie?"
"We will see baby. Go on and play with your friend."
I run off and play with Lena until it was time for cake. Lena's aunt got me a coloring book and Lena drew a picture for me of a house and 2 stick figures holding hands standing in the yard and I smiled at her and my mom took it and got it framed and hung it in my room the next day. The next day after school well my mom was at school my aunt took me clothes shopping and got 2 outfits jus like her girlfriend then we got home and I did my homework and it was late so I couldn't play with my best friend. I was in my room playing with my new toys and I look out my window and I can see Lena in her room. She is the sweetest girl I ever met. I don't ever wanna lose a friend like her. So what that I'm 3 years older than her for a few months but most of the year I'm only 2 years older.
