The Kids Aren't Alright

Chapter 4

"Wow this place is actually nice." Enzo exclaimed as the others gazed around the apartment that was now theirs.

"For a bunch of college students who don't have a clue what they're doing. Yeah. It is." Elena replied putting her stuff down as they formed a circle to talk about how they were going to set this place up.

"So how are we going to do this?" Damon asked looking around at everyone.

"Well it's a three-bedroom flat so we're going to have to share rooms, so Who's going to be with who?" Caroline asked as Klaus stepped forward.

"We could split the rooms between girls and boys, so we have an extra room to keep miscellaneous stuff."

"That sounds like a good idea." Elena agreed as the others nodded.

"In that case, Elena, Bonnie, and I will go put our stuff in our room and you boys can go set up your room and we'll all meet for our first roommate dinner. Oh, this is so exciting." Caroline squealed as Elena forced a smile on her face. She wasn't sure how she felt about sharing this house with people she barely knew, but an experience was still an experience. No matter if it were good or bad.

"Alright girls we need to talk." Caroline said shutting the door as Bonnie and Elena looked at her quizzingly.

"About?"

"Which boy do you think is cuter?"

"Why do we have to think any of them is cute?"

"Because it's a part of the human experience."

"Alright I'll bite. Damon is kind of cute."

"I'll agree, but I think Stefan and Klaus are super cute too."

"Please if anyone is attractive it would be Enzo."

"He's not my type but get it girl. He looks like a cute one."

"Maybe I will, what about you Elena? Are you going to go after Damon?"

"I'm way too focused on what I have going on right now to even consider talking to the boys. Starting with finding a job that pays good money in a short amount of time."

"I mean you could always be a stripper." Caroline joked.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." She answered with an eye roll.

It's always an option." Bonnie agreed making Elena sigh. Why the hell did everyone want her to become a stripper.

"I'm not going to be a stripper. Even if I did want to, I don't have the flexibility for it."

"I mean there's probably a pole dancing class that you could take, but I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure there's other jobs here you could do."

"Yeah. I really hope so."

"We should go out to celebrate tonight. It's not everyday that you purchase your first place."

"Sure. That sounds like a good idea." Elena smiled wanting nothing more than to stay home tonight. But she knew she had to at least try to bond with her new roommates.

"Fantastic. I'll go tell the boys and the we can get ready to go." Caroline smiled leaving the room as Elena hoped that she wouldn't regret this.
