"An imposter? What are you talking about?" Harry asked, struggling to sit up.

Blaise gently pushed him back down. "You can't move yet. That's not really Prince Draco."

"Then who is it?" Harry asked, his voice going shrill. "Where's my husband?"

"Shh!" Blaise hissed. "I'm trying to tell you. That man is named Theo. He was Prince Draco's personal guard. He's the one who poisoned King Lucius. The same night he did that, he had Prince Draco locked away and took his place using Polyjuice Potion."

"But that only lasts an hour," Harry said. "I've been around him for hours without seeing him drink anything."

"He modified it somehow. I don't know how. His version lasts for 24 hours."

"Did he kill Draco?" Harry asked, afraid to know the answer.

"Prince Draco lives. He is hidden in a cell far from here. Theo keeps him alive for his hair. He makes sure that Prince Draco is well taken care of for his own appearance. Over the past five years, I have managed to glean enough information that I believe we can finally free Prince Draco. All we're waiting on is the location of his cell."

"Who's we?" Harry asked.

"Severus and I are part of a resistance. We're trying to free the true king and oust Theo. Everyone in the kingdom loved Prince Draco. There are those who believe as you did. That Prince Draco changed after his father's death. However, there are also those who know that Prince Draco would never be cruel. We've had to be careful to avoid detection or suspicion. There are a few guards who know that the king is truly Theo and they are on his side. Most aren't, but it has been tricky to determine who is who. According to our observations, though, Theo will need to go see Prince Draco in three days time. We have a few scouts that will follow him to determine the location of the cell. Once we have that, we can free him. We need to free him before we can attack Theo. Otherwise, no one will believe us when we tell them that it's really Theo."

"Is this really true, Blaise? I didn't really agree to marry a monster?" Harry asked desperately.

"I swear on my honor that Prince Draco has been locked away for the past five years," Blaise said solemnly.

"Why send for me then?" Harry asked. "He obviously doesn't care about me."

"Appearances," Blaise murmured. "Prince Draco signed a marriage contract, and Theo had to abide by it or questions would be raised that he has no answers for."

"How long will it take to rescue him?" Harry asked. "And how can I look in Theo's eyes knowing what I know?"

"We don't know how long it will take, but you must act the same in Theo's presence. It is imperative that you do so. Prince Draco's life depends on it."

"It is time to go to your room now, Your Majesty," Severus murmured. "If the pain gets bad, send Blaise for me. It doesn't matter what time it is. I will come."

"Thank you, Severus," Harry murmured.

Harry was able to walk on his own to his room, but he had to move slowly. Blaise helped him into bed and tucked him in.

"Get some rest, Harry. Life will get better once we have Prince Draco back," Blaise murmured.

Harry fell into an exhausted sleep before Blaise even left the room.

HPDM

Harry sat at the breakfast table on a soft cushion that Blaise had asked one of the maid's to make for him long ago when Harry was first married. He needed it almost all the time since Draco, or rather Theo, never let him stay healed for more than a day or two before raping him again. Harry tried to ignore his imposter husband as he ate slowly. Breakfast was always just the two of them. No servants were even allowed in the room.

"I'm thinking of getting rid of Blaise," Imposter Draco said.

Harry's head snapped up. "What? Why?"

Imposter Draco eyed him with disdain. "He never sent me a whore after you left. I had to use my hand to get off. Instead, I find out that he took you to see Severus."

Harry swallowed. "He didn't want anyone to see me barely able to walk. He knew the scrutiny that would come of it. Please…Draco. Don't get rid of him."

Imposter Draco narrowed his eyes. "Are you sleeping with him? Is that why he seems so fond of you?"

"No!" Harry said loudly. "He's a friend. I would never be unfaithful. Please, Draco. I don't ask you for much. I am asking you to please let Blaise be. He's my friend."

Imposter Draco leaned back and eyed Harry lazily. "You're right. You don't ask me for anything which I appreciate. I will allow you this one favor…on the condition that you give me an heir."

Harry swallowed. "W-what?"

"Why do you think I'm still taking you to my bed after three years?" Imposter Draco taunted. "It's not because you're good in bed. I need an heir for the throne. I've been trying to get you pregnant this whole time. Are you infertile?"

Harry was glad that he hadn't figured out that Severus gave him a potion to prevent pregnancy. "I-I don't think so. I don't know how I would figure that out."

"I'll tell Severus to check. I'm sure he will have a way of finding out," Imposter Draco muttered.

Harry escaped as soon as he could. Blaise had to jog to keep up with him once he was out of the room.

"Your Majesty?" Blaise called.

Harry slowed down and let Blaise catch up before heading out to the garden. He had always enjoyed the garden. It reminded him of the week he spent with Prince Draco. They had spent many hours walking the paths and talking. Harry sighed as they got out of earshot of the servants and guards.

"He wants an heir, Blaise," Harry murmured. "He asked if I was infertile because he's been trying to get me pregnant this whole time. Apparently, it's the only reason he takes me to his bed."

Blaise cursed under his breath. "Just go along with anything he says. Prince Draco will soon be free. You won't have to worry about it."

"I can't get pregnant by that monster," Harry muttered, slightly panicked. "I don't want his child. I would rather kill myself."

"It's not going to come to that," Blaise said softly. "Prince Draco will get rid of him. You'll never be forced into another's bed again."

"That's because I'll be homeless and exiled," Harry said, tears filling his eyes.

"What? Why do you think that?" Blaise asked in shock.

Harry looked up at him with eyes filled with despair. "I'm not pure anymore, Blaise. Prince Draco won't want me anymore. It was one of the stipulations of our marriage contract, that we both remain pure until our wedding night."

Blaise looked into Harry's eyes with as much confidence as he could muster. "I'm sure Prince Draco will understand," he lied. He had no idea how Prince Draco would react. He only hoped that Prince Draco was still the same man he was when he was locked away…but five years locked in a cell could have changed him.

"What if he doesn't?" Harry asked.

"Then, I'll go with you," Blaise said. "I won't let you be exiled by yourself for something you had no control over."

Harry sniffed and wiped his eyes. "You're a good friend, Blaise, but I can't let you do that."

"Too bad. You can't stop me," Blaise said, laughter in his voice.

Harry laughed a little. "I need to lay down. Severus putting that salve on again this morning helped, but it's starting to hurt again."

"Should I get him? He'll put more on," Blaise said, concern evident in his voice.

"No, maybe after lunch," Harry murmured.

"That's not for hours," Blaise muttered. "I don't know why you insist on bearing the pain."

"The time that Severus spends on me can be better spent making potions for the sick," Harry murmured.

Blaise shook his head. "This is exactly why you're a great leader for your people. You're willing to put them before your own comfort."

Harry shrugged. "I just think there are others who have it worse than me. Why should I complain? I'm royalty, I live in a castle, and I have more luxury than anyone could ever need. What more can I ask for?"

"How about safety? Or love?" Blaise retorted.

"Love is overrated," Harry muttered. "I fancied myself in love with Draco and look where it got me."

"But that wasn't really Prince Draco," Blaise protested. "He would never treat you so callously. I saw him after you left five years ago. I had never seen him so happy."

Harry sighed. "I need to get to bed. Maybe a nap will help."

Blaise dropped it since it was obviously what Harry wanted. "Are you sure you don't want Severus?"

"I'm sure," Harry said. "You can send for him after lunch."

Blaise sighed, knowing it was useless to push. He just wished he could do more. It was more important than ever to free Prince Draco from his prison.
