Six Months Later…
Draco sighed as he walked into the castle. He hated having to oversee the battles between the guards. Two of the men had been involved in a heated argument. They decided to resolve it with a battle. The battle was always a swordfight and they fought until first blood. Draco found the custom barbaric. All he wanted to do after dinner was usher Harry into bed and have his wicked way with him. Instead he had been forced to oversee the battle while Harry went to their room alone. Draco finally made it to their room and let himself in. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Harry pacing in agitation.
"Harry? What's wrong, love?" Draco asked.
Harry stopped and looked at Draco anxiously. "I have news."
"Okay," Draco said slowly. He walked over and pulled Harry into his arms. "What is your news?"
Harry buried his face in Draco's chest. "I met with Severus while you were out there with the men."
"Are you sick?" Draco asked, concerned.
"No," Harry mumbled. "I don't know how you're going to feel about this. We've never talked about it."
"About what?" Draco asked in confusion.
Harry pulled back to look at Draco with tears in his eyes. "I'm with child."
Draco blinked. "Are you sure?"
Harry nodded as he bit his lip.
Draco grinned. "That's great news, love! Why are you so upset?"
"You're happy?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be? You're carrying my child. We have much to plan to get ready for the arrival," Draco muttered to himself.
Harry huffed in disbelief. "We haven't even been married two years, Draco. How can we possibly be ready for this?"
Draco cupped Harry's cheeks. "But we are married. We're in love. We have the means to support the child. Why wouldn't we be ready?"
"I can't believe you aren't taking this seriously," Harry hissed, stalking to the door and opening it.
Draco rushed to follow Harry into the hallway, confused. "What do you mean I'm not taking it seriously? I am. What did I say to make you think otherwise? Where are you going?"
"To your office. I'm writing to my mum. I'm going to ask if I can come home for a bit," Harry said shortly.
Draco stopped in the middle of the hallway in shock. He had to walk even faster to catch back up to Harry. "The hell you are," he hissed. "I give you a lot more leeway that most kings or husbands would. I let you set the pace of our relationship. I waited an entire year into our marriage to take you to bed. I give you space when you ask for it. I do all that because I love you and I only want you to be happy…but I'll be damned if you're going to run away from me now. I have worked hard to earn your trust and your love. You do not get to snatch it away because you're overly emotional."
Harry turned to him, his face contorted in anger. "I am not being 'overly emotional', Draco," he growled.
Harry hurried into Draco's office and grabbed some parchment and a quill. Draco followed him and slammed the door behind him. He snatched the parchment and quill away and tossed them to the floor.
"You are going to sit your arse down and tell me what's wrong or so help me, I will tie your arse to our bed until you tell me," Draco snarled.
Harry glared at him. "Are you really going to sit there and act like you didn't notice how upset I was before you started talking about planning for the birth?"
"Yes, I saw you were upset. I assumed by what you had said that you were worried about my reaction since we hadn't discussed children," Draco said impatiently.
Harry sagged down into Draco's chair behind the desk. "One of the last things he said to me was that he wanted to work on the heir I promised him," Harry said hoarsely.
Draco closed his eyes and felt like an insensitive berk. "You never told me that," he whispered.
"I don't like thinking about it," Harry murmured. "When I found out that I'm expecting, all I could think about was…what if he had gotten me pregnant? I feel like I'm playing into his hands."
Draco knelt on the floor in front of Harry to hold his hands. "No. Even if he had gotten you pregnant, it would be our child, not his. He was in my body. That child would have my blood. I would still love it even if I wasn't the one who had done the deed. You need to tell me things like this, love. It will never go away if we don't talk about it."
Harry nodded as he sniffled. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you," he whispered.
"I'm sorry, too. I should have known there was more to this. You're not prone to emotional outbursts. As your husband, I should have known better. I should be honest, too," Draco muttered.
"About what?" Harry asked.
"I acted like I was just upset about you leaving because we've made so much progress, but that wasn't it." Draco hesitated as he played with Harry's fingers. "I don't like it when you're out of my sight at all. Without you near me, it feels like I'm back in that cell. Seeing you and touching you reminds me that I'm free. That I made it out of there. It's getting better, but I start feeling like there's a rock on my chest when too much time passes without seeing you. I don't know how bad it would be if you left for days."
Harry slid onto the floor to hold Draco tightly. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I won't do it again. You're right. We do need to talk about everything so we don't mess up even by accident."
There was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," Draco called, not taking his face out of Harry's neck.
"Everything all right?" Blaise asked cautiously.
Harry looked at Blaise over Draco's shoulder. "Yeah. Just some miscommunication," he murmured.
"Okay. Everyone was worried. They said you had a fight. That never happens so they asked me to check on you two," Blaise said, looking relieved.
"We're done fighting," Harry said, petting Draco's hair. "We just realized that we need to talk more. Tell everyone we're fine."
Blaise nodded. "All right. Let me know if you need me."
Blaise shut the door and Harry pulled back from Draco a bit. "I will never talk about leaving again. I promise. Well, unless you're going with me," he added with a slight smile.
"I'll pay more attention when you're acting different," Draco murmured, kissing Harry deeply. "Let's go back to our room. I need to be inside you." He kissed Harry more passionately.
Harry kissed him back enthusiastically. "Actually, I seem to recall that you made me a promise," he murmured, standing up and moving to lean back on Draco's desk in front of his chair as he started to remove his clothes.
Draco's eyes glazed over in lust as he watched Harry's every move. "What was that?" he murmured distractedly as he watched Harry's bare chest come into view.
"You promised me that you would take me on your desk. You said it just wouldn't be for our first time," Harry murmured, slowly sliding his trousers down to reveal his erection jutting out in front of him.
Draco licked his lips. "So I did. I never did fulfill that promise. I should rectify that."
Draco stood up and slowly stripped out of his own clothes before stepping in front of Harry and lifting him to sit on the desk. He stepped between Harry's thighs and rested his hands on Harry's back as he kissed him ravenously. He pulled back with a frown.
"I don't have any oil in here," he muttered.
Harry smiled and pulled Draco back into another kiss. "Good thing I prepared myself before Severus came."
Draco looked at him in shock. "You did?"
Harry shrugged as he flushed. "I've wanted you all day. I didn't want to waste any time when you made it back. That kind of went sideways when I got the news from Severus."
Draco reverently placed a hand on Harry's stomach. "I can't believe we're going to have a child," he whispered. "I bet you'll be gorgeous with a round tummy."
Harry laughed. "I doubt that. I'll be fat."
Draco shook his head with a grin. "Have you ever seen someone pregnant? They have this amazing glow about them. You're going to be gorgeous. I doubt I'll be able to keep my hands off you."
Draco kissed Harry again before pulling him off the desk and turning him around. He pressed gently on Harry's shoulders until Harry obediently leaned over the desk. Draco's erection twitched at the sight of Harry laid out before him. He spread Harry's arse cheeks to see the oil glistening. He lined himself up and pushed. He gave a sharp jerk of his hips to get the tip in. Harry moaned long and low as Draco slowly pushed the rest of the way in. Harry sighed in relief at being filled again. Draco pressed a hand just below Harry's shoulders to keep him down and grabbed a hip as he started to thrust. His withdrawals were slow and torturous; his entries almost violent. Harry moaned every time he thrust inside.
"Draco, faster," Harry panted. "It's not enough. I need more."
Draco ran his hands up Harry's arms to hold his wrists to the desk as he leaned over him and moved his hips faster.
"Is this what you want, love?" he murmured in Harry's ear. "Me pounding inside you?"
"Merlin, yes!" Harry cried. "Yes, Draco! Oh, Merlin, yes! Harder!"
Draco upped his pace until each thrust was slamming Harry's thighs into the desk hard enough to bruise. His grip on Harry's wrist was bruising and unrelenting. Draco cursed loudly when Harry squeezed around him. Draco knew he couldn't last much longer so he adjusted his angle until Harry cried out breathlessly. It only took a few more thrusts before Harry cried out his name and released his seed all over the desk. Draco grunted loudly as he slammed inside Harry, trembling, and finished inside him. Draco's grip on Harry's wrists loosened as Draco collapsed on him.
"Fuck, you feel even more amazing every time," Draco muttered breathlessly.
Harry chuckled. "You feel pretty amazing, too," he panted. "Can you get up? My stomach is pressing into the edge."
Draco quickly got up. "I'm so sorry, love," Draco said anxiously. "Did I hurt you? Or the baby?"
Harry let Draco help him up before turning around and wrapping his arms around Draco's neck. "I'm fine as is the baby. Nothing is going to go wrong from one time of being rough."
"I tend to get a bit rough every time, though," Draco said, sounding worried. "What if one of these times, I actually hurt one of you?"
"Draco, relax. We'll just take care to only be in bed when we do it. We'll avoid hard surfaces until after the baby is born. I don't mind that you get a little rough. It feels so much better," Harry murmured, leaning up to kiss Draco.
Draco moaned softly as Harry explored his mouth. He reached down to cup Harry's arse. "Speaking of bed, let's go there. I need you again."
Harry laughed and ran his hands over Draco's bare chest. "I like the sound of that. I kind of want to be on top this time."
"Get dressed quickly then," Draco said, squeezing Harry's arse cheeks. "I want to be back inside you within five minutes."
As they raced to get dressed, Harry marveled at how much his life had changed. This was the man that he had started falling for at sixteen. The one who treated him as though he was precious. The one who loved him more than anything. He laughed as they ran down the halls in an attempt to get to their room first. Life couldn't possibly get better.
