Two days. Two days until Eugene and Rapunzel got married. They had been anxiously waiting for over a year since Eugene proposed. That was the best day of Rapunzel's life but that would most likely change very soon. The last couple of days were spent on any last minute preparations. It didn't have to be perfect as long as it wasn't a disaster.

The day before the wedding, Rapunzel and Eugene spent the day together. It was their last day before being married, and they wanted to make the most of it. The day was filled with activities they did while dating. That evening after dinner, the couple went outside and sat in the garden. They sat under the large oak tree and Eugene held his soon-to-be wife close. He loved her more than anything in the world and he wanted her to know that. He would do anything to make her happy. He never thought he would be so lucky, to have an amazing woman in his life.

"You know that I love you, right?" he asked Rapunzel.

She smiled and said "Of course I do. You've told me every day since we got back from the tower." She leaned against his chest and held his hand tight. Nothing could ever change her love for him. They sat for a while before going back to their rooms. Eugene walked Rapunzel to her room and kissed her. They eventually broke apart and stood there holding each other.

Rapunzel broke the silence by saying "I guess I'll see you at the alter tomorrow. I love you, Eugene."

"I love you too. Goodnight, Sunshine." he replied. He kissed her again and left down the hall to his room. Rapunzel watched him until he turned around and blew her a kiss. She pretended to catch it and held it close to her. Eugene went inside and closed his door. Rapunzel did the same and changed into her nightgown. She knew she would have a hard time falling asleep. Tomorrow would be the start of a new chapter in her and Eugene's life. As exciting as that was, she was also a little nervous. She tried not to think of the negatives and fell asleep to the thought of getting married to the love of her life.

The morning of the wedding was here and Rapunzel hastily got ready. The maids helped her into her dress and did her hair. The queen came in and checked on her daughter.

"Are you ready for this?" Ariana asked while putting Rapunzel's veil on her head.

"I've never been more ready for anything in my life. Thank you for helping me with everything." Rapunzel said. Her mother had been very supportive of her and Eugene together, even if her father wasn't so on board at first. Then he saw how much he loved her and she loved him.

"You're welcome, dear. Oh look at the time. We better get you to the church. Don't want to be late to your own wedding." Ariana said. They headed down to the church and waited for the king to come. Soon enough, Fredric walked in and locked arms with Rapunzel. They heard the organ start and started walking down the aisle. Eugene smiled upon seeing his love. As Rapunzel got closer, she could see that he was tearing up. She walked up and stood next to him and smiled. The ceremony went on and after the rings were brought out, the priest pronounced them husband and wife. That kiss felt like destiny and they both enjoyed it. After, they went out to the carriage and rode around the town, waving at the townspeople.

That evening after everything was wrapped up and done, Eugene sat with Rapunzel on her bed. The king had said years ago that when they got married, Eugene would be allowed to sleep in the same room as Rapunzel. He put his arm around her and held her close to him. She leaned her head on his shoulder. It was a great feeling knowing they were married at last.

"So, have your feelings for me changed now that you're married to me?" Eugene questioned Rapunzel.

"Yes I think they have. I love you even more than I did before. And I already loved you a lot." she replied with a smile. It was true. She did love him more now. "So you wanna maybe sleep here tonight?" she asked.

"I thought you'd never ask. Of course I do. I'll go change and be back in a minute." he said, sliding off the bed. He left and came back to see Rapunzel changed and in bed. He laid next to her and pulled her into a kiss. They broke apart and Rapunzel cuddled close to Eugene.

"I love you so much, Eugene." she mumbled.

"I love you too, Sunshine." Eugene said. Eventually, they both fell asleep.
