Now that Ven's got a new job, let's see all the craziness that goes with it.

First Days of Training

November 12th, after school, the Choco-Mog, drive-thru building...

Ven and a reluctant Roxas arrived at the Choco-Mog after getting dropped off by Saix, Isa's older brother. He wished them luck while Isa vowed to pray for their sanity...or what was left of it. Their speeding off added to Roxas's woe and he sighed sadly.

"Hey, stop sighing like that. Everything's gonna be fine," Ven told him.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever..." Roxas muttered.

Once the twins entered the building, they were greeted by an enthusiastic Prompto, a cleaning Yuffie and surprised Noctis. The others looked at them for a few seconds and quickly went back to their cleaning and/or setting up for the day. The owner's namesake sighed and said, "How did he rope you two in all this?"

"Hey, don't blame me!" his father yelled from behind the counter.

"You tricked them into working here!" Noct yelled back.

"No I didn't! They 'willingly' applied," Senior told him.

Roxas muttered, "More like didn't let anyone object..."

Ven greeted the man with a handshake and was promptly given his Choco-Mog uniform. Yuffie, after finishing cleaning a counter top, tossed Roxas his and he felt as if he was preparing to go to prison. He was then told to go change into it, to his chagrin.

'Why me?' he thought.

After Ven and he changed, Senior called for everyone to line up. The group of seventeen did so and awaited orders.

"Okay, I need 100% concentration from everybody. Ming-Li, Ruby and Pyrrha, I need you three to work the phones and man the dumbwaiters," Senior said, holding a clipboard.

"Oh, can we listen to the radio?" a girl, Ruby, asked.

"No ma'am. No ma'am. Daisukenojo..." Senior said.

The boy, Daisukenojo, yelled, "Yo! Call me 'Beat', man!"

"Okay...'Beat', I need you, Chun-Li and Neku to man the fry and grill stations," Senior siad.

The red-haired boy wearing headphones along with his uniform, Neku, muttered, "Whatever man...Just want my paycheck..."

Looking at another group, Senior told them, "Shiki, Iris and Prompto, I need you all to go upstairs and man the cameras. We'll be expecting a lot of people this weekend and I'm sure they'll want pictures for cheap souvenirs."

"Okay, we're on it!" Prompto said.

"Link, Shelke and Kumatora, I need you three on take out prep. Yuffie and Roy, I need you two on drive-thru. And Junior," Senior said.

"What?" Noct asked.

"I need you to train Ven and Rucksack," Senior said.

Roxas grumbled and said, "It's Roxas."

"Why can't Yuffie do it?" Noctis asked.

"Because she's assigned to drive-thru today. It's either that or scooping poop out of the chocobo stables," Senior said, a sly look in his eyes.

Noct grumbled and muttered, "Okay, okay. I'll train 'em..."

"Okay, now that's settled. You're dismissed," Senior said, heading to the elevator.

After he was gone, the girl Ruby pulled out her phone and cheered, "Yay! Now I can listen to that 'Catch Me Outside' girl!"

"Oh no you won't!" Noct said.

"Why not?" Ruby asked him.

"Because he's got camera's all around here, to make sure we're working and that we don't steal anything," Noct replied.

Yuffie nodded and added, "And so he can make sure we don't get robbed or anything."

"I dunno 'bout y'all, but Junior's crazy paranoid!" Beat said.

Noctis was offended and said, "What was that?"

"Yo, you wanna fight? I'll give ya a fight!" Beat yelled, putting up his fists.

Yuffie slapped him in the back of the head and said, "Stop that! Everybody, let's just get ready. Everything opens up in ten minutes."

The seventeen dispersed, heading for their various stations. Noctis was left with Ven and Roxas and he said, "Alright. I guess I'll have to train ya. Let's start with the drive-thru."

He led them behind the counter, passed the kitchen and to the first window where Yuffie was. She smiled at Ven and then looked worried at the grumpy Roxas.

"You okay, Roxas?" she asked.

"Why am I here...?" he moaned.

"Too late to complain now. Anyway, Yuffie," Noct said.

"What?" Yuffie asked.

"Tell 'em what you do," he told her.

Yuffie seemed confused and, unsure, said, "Well, I greet customers and take their orders. Roy's the one that give it to them."

"And here comes one now," Noct said, looking at a screen near Yuffie's register.

Yuffie put on her headset and said, "Welcome to the Choco-Mog. How can I help you?"

Due to some speakers and a screen that viewed the drive-thru, mainly for management to overhear the orders, the trio was able to hear the man's order. It was rather large as he asked for Prairie-Style Skewers, a Choco-Burger, Mogmatt Fries, dumplings called Xiaolongbao and a diet coke. The order sounded familiar as Roxas remembered Senior saying that the one who destroyed the original restaurant ordered the same things.

Noct's face paled and he muttered, "Please don't come down here. Please don't come down here. Please don't come down here."

Ven could've sworn he heard rumbling and a feeling of dread nearly overcame him. Senior nearly slid into them as he entered the small alcove and he glared at the screen. Noctis grumbled, "Oh no..."

"What is he doing here?" Senior bellowed.

"Here we go again..." Yuffie muttered.

Senior was about to go and annihilate the man when Noct blocked the doorway.

"Don't. Please don't. Seriously, we can't have another incident," he told his father.

The man scoffed and said, "It wasn't that much damage."

"You swung a golf club at a guy's car for staring at Mom for too long," Noct said.

"Hey, he ogled at her," Senior said, trying to justify his crime of property damage.

"Uh...How much for all that stuff?" the portly man asked.

Yuffie went back to the screen and said, "That'll be 4,500 munny. Drive to the first window please.

He did and yelped as Senior pushed the kids out of the way, showing his very angry face to the man. The fat one looked around and said, "Uh...Sorry about that Mister...I mean, Lord Caelum. I was hungry! And a bit drunk...Uh...Please don't spike my food with poison or something!"

"Dad...don't. C'mon...Just let it go," Noct told his father.

Senior turned his glare at him and Ven could've sworn that it was a penance stare...like the "Spirit Rider" from his favorite comics. Noct's face paled even more and he said, "Never mind then...Um...I'll just...um..."

He whimpered, moving away from his father's line of sight. The man's glare went back to the customer and he muttered, "Get your food and never come here again."

"But I like the food here! Please don't ban me! I'll make it up to you guys!" the portly man cried.

He gave Yuffie his credit card and Roxas could see the name "Richard Watson III" on it. Yuffie swiped it and handed the card back to him. Senior kept his glare at Mister Watson and the poor man pleaded, "Please. I'll keep coming to the Choco-Mog to help pay for damages."

Realizing that the man was already obese and eating more food just to pay for the under renovations restaurant was a bad idea, Roxas asked, "Uh, is that a good idea, sir?"

Senior shushed him and said, his glare replaced with a small grin, "SHH! You're gonna ruin it."

'Uh, ruin you potentially murdering someone?' Roxas thought.

"Oh all right. But don't ever think to drive through a building again!" Senior said.

He left, leaving the four terrified and confused. After seeing Mister Watson drive to the next window, another customer came and Yuffie did her usual greeting. The color on Noct's face returned to its peachy hue and he said, "As I was saying, just watch Yuffie on how to greet customers."

"Hi, welcome to the Choco-Mog. How can I help you?" she said.

"CAN I GET A XION-NO-BOWA?!" the customer yelled.

Noct smirked and said to the twins, "This is what we call a customer who can care less for the menu items."

"Uh...Do you mean the 'Xiaolongbao', a six-dumpling dish?" Yuffie asked.

"What? The Zion-lone-boa-constrictor?!" the customer yelled.

"That's the Xiaolongbao, sir," Yuffie said, raising her voice.

"Scratch that. That customer's the 'can-care-less-for-the-menu-items' and the 'hard-of-hearing'," Noct said.

The customer started screaming as apparently they couldn't hear Yuffie. Yuffie did the same, trying to get them to hear. Ven started snickering while Noctis tried to hold in his laughter. Roxas was the same, feeling sorry for poor Yuffie's ear drums.

"What? 14 what?" he said.

"I said the Xiaolongbao's 1250 munny!" Yuffie yelled.

"WHAT?!" he screamed.

Yuffie's face turned red as she screamed, "IT'S 1250! THE XIAOLONGBAO'S 1250!"

"OH! DO YOU TAKE CREDIT?!" he screamed.

"YES WE DO!" Yuffie screamed to the top of her lungs.

"OKAY! THANK YOU!" the customer yelled.

Yuffie gasped as she never screamed that loud before. Roxas felt sorry for her and hoped that he wouldn't be put on drive-thru. The customer drove up to her window, gave her his card, to which Roxas saw the name Cid Aurum on it. Noct stifled a snicker and said to himself, "I gotta tell Cindy this. This is freakin' hilarious."

"Noct! HEY IS THAT YOU BOY?!" the old customer, Cid, yelled.

"Yes. But why are you screaming? Do you have your hearing aids in?" Noct asked.

"Uh...What?" Cid asked.

Noct sighed and said, "I'll just tell Cindy that you forgot to put your hearing aids in."

"I got 'em in. It's just not working well," Cid said.

"Okay, then. I'll tell her that you need to get new ones," Noct said.

As with the first customer, Yuffie swiped Cid's card, handed it back to him and told him to move to the second window. He then looked behind him and said, "I think ya got a big order comin' up! Oh and tell your Dad I said 'Hey'!"

He drove off and the four heard the sound of a loud horn. The four jaws' dropped as something that looked like a large truck looming down the drive thru. The driver got out, hung from the door and said, "I got a really large order for ya. I got my 23 friends in the back. Can you handle it?"

Noct took the headset from Yuffie and said, "Yes I can. Welcome to the Choco-Mog. What would you like today?"

The woman's list was extraordinarily long and Roxas couldn't bring himself to remember it all. After about five long minutes of ordering, reordering and confirming, the customer was finished and drove up to the ordering window. Noct took her card and Roxas saw the name Elizabeth Swann.

The truck she drove in was a semi and Roxas wondered how she managed to get it into the drive-thru. After she drove ahead, Roxas was about to ask how she did so when Noct told him to never question what he sees. His reasons was that the twins would see more strange things while working there. Questioning it would just take a toll on their sanity.

After Yuffie took her headset back, Noct took them to the fry and grill stations. There, Shiki, Neku and Beat were busy making fries and cooking the meat patties used for the Choco Burgers. The faint sound of a song was heard and the lyrics, according to Roxas' ears, were, "Catch me outside. How 'bout dat?"

"I told them not to..." Noct started.

Beat saw him and said, "Hey! What'chu doin' here?"

"I'm just here to...Bah, what does it matter? Show 'em what you three do," Noct said.

"We just fry up the fried foods and grill the burgers...Nothing special," Neku muttered.

Noct shook his head, taking the twins around the last few parts of the restaurant. Ven happily absorbed the information given, about how to do things and who's who. Roxas, however, groaned and counted down the time until it was time to leave.

Later...

"So, how was your first day at work?" Aqua asked, putting some salad on her plate.

The Pellegrino family all sat at the dinner table, with Ven excitedly telling them all what hapened at the Choco-Mog. Roxas replied with a few grunts and mumbles. Eraqus noticed and said, "It couldn't have been that bad, Roxas."

"He kept calling me 'Rucksack'. And they all seem crazy there," Roxas told him.

"I'm sure you'll get used to it, eventually," Terra said, scarfing down some chicken.

Roxas glowered and said, "But I don't want to go insane like Ven over here."

"Hey, I'm not insane!" Ven retorted.

"Then what do you call 'Vanitas'?" Roxas asked.

"Well...That part of me's like the Hulk or like Mr. Hyde. It's still me, just angry," Ven replied.

"And mean," Aqua added.

"And obsessed with peanut butter," Terra also added.

Ven grumbled and said, "I'm not insane. I'm not..."

"Anyway...Roxas, just give the job a chance. If you're not satisfied working there after two months, then I'll approve of you finding another," Eraqus told him.

And there's Ven and Roxas' first day at work. Man, it seems working there has its own craziness. At least they'll get paid, right? Right?
