A story for MrsGeef – Happy Birthday my friend, I hope you enjoy it. I do not normally read or write Drarry so this was a little out of my comfort zone.
The list
"I can feel you" Draco said "If you are going to try that, you need to be better than the wizard you are doing it to."
Harry blushed a little "I thought it might make the process go quicker."
They sat in a plain room; just the two of them a table and two chairs, on the table was a lamp that magically filled the whole room with light, an ink pot and paper. Harry sat twirling a quill between his fingers, his hair a mess and wearing a comfortable black business robe, he stared intently into Draco's gray eyes. Draco returned the gaze with a little smirk, his black robes perfectly tailored and blond hair slicked back - he was the picture of power, money and confidence. Draco leaned forward resting his arms on the table; he looked surprisingly relaxed for someone being interviewed by an auror.
"It would, but I spent a lot of time learning occlumency I'm not going to let down my guard just to make your job easier." Draco drawled "If you want it, you have to work for it."
Harry rolled his eyes and sighed, tapping his quill on the parchment. "Fine how about a pensive."
"You want me to give my memories to an Auror? You want to have my memories on file so anyone could see them?" Draco asked repulsed "No, I came here of my own free will to help, but that is crossing the line."
"I thought you came in here to save your bacon." Harry said glaring at him.
Draco crunched his nose and tilted his head "Wha… what does bacon have to do with this?"
Harry turned red once again, apparently to save ones bacon was a muggle saying. He put his hand up "It does not matter, you came here to save your family"
"Are you calling my family pigs? Because I can make your job a whole lot harder by not giving you clear information you know." Draco said angrily.
"No… It was a muggle saying, I didn't realize it or would not have used it. It just means to save your back side" Harry said "you know, your ass."
Draco sneered "Get your muggle and wizard saying confused often Potter?"
"Yes I do." Harry said confidently "Not really a big deal, I was raised by muggles. But I think we are here to hear you talk, not me. So spill."
Draco scoffed "Fine, can I see a list of who you know were death eaters? And your list of followers?"
"No I'm not going to give you that information. You might decide to withhold names since you know for a fact we don't have them yet."
"Then we will be here a very long time" Draco said "I saw a lot, more than I ever wanted to. I guess I can give names first, then I can go through and list what I know were their crimes." Draco sat thinking for a moment. "If I give you my memories can I take them back as soon as you see them? I don't want you to have a library of my life."
"You can be there the whole time, I might have to go in a few times so I can write down all the details but you can take the memories back once I have everything written." Harry compromised knowing this would make his life so much easier.
"I'm going in with you; I do not want you just wandering around my memories unattended." Draco said firmly.
"Fine, I will arrange to have the pensive sent here but until then, start listing names." Harry said pushing the quill, ink and parchment across the table to Draco.
Draco scratched away at the parchment much longer than Harry expected he would. When one parchment was done Draco would push it away towards Harry like it was some disgusting, mold infested paper and start on another.
Harry read the list occasionally surprised at a name, but he made no comment just let Draco write. The names came slower to Draco, he had to search his memory for the names he knew he was missing.
"Okay I'm sure you can read but you have three lists." Draco explained "Deatheaters, Followers and those under the Imperious curse. Keep those around I might need to add more to the list later"
"This is a great place to start, thank you Malfoy." Harry said impressed.
"You are right though, Occlumency and Legilimens would be very helpful to you with all this. Who taught you?" Draco asked.
"Snape." Harry said shortly.
"He must have been an awful teacher. Or you were a terrible student." Draco laughed.
"A bit of both really." Harry accepted "Who taught you?"
"Bellatrix." Draco said uncomfortably "surprisingly she was a good teacher."
"Well I guess that's out, and I can't think of any other Deatheaters that would be willing to be my teacher." Harry said annoyed.
"I could think of one, pretty damned good occlumens too." Draco said slyly.
"Who?" Harry asked.
"God you are thick. Maybe I don't want to teach you after all." Draco looked at him like he was stupid.
"You would teach me?" Harry asked even more surprised.
"I came to help, and mean to really help. If this will do that, then yes I'll teach you." Draco said.
Harry thought he did not like the idea of Draco going through his memories the way Snape did. But he was willing to help and he would also be making himself vulnerable. "Please teach me, I have the feeling I am going to need it to interview the people on this list."
Draco smirked "It won't be easy and it takes a while, you sure about this?"
"Yes." Harry said "Where should we meet?"
Draco looked around obviously the ministry was out, He did not think it would be wise to go to his house. "How about your place?"
Harry had to think, bringing him to number twelve Grimmauld place would let him know the location of Grimmauld place. He did not know who had gone there after the ministry fiasco.
"I already know where you live" Draco said annoyed "I could go there right now without you writing it on a little slip of paper."
Harry looked at Draco his lips pursed. "Fine my place. When do you want to start?"
"After you finish work and every day after you finish work until you master it. You will start bringing people in soon so you need to know this as soon as possible." Draco ordered enjoying his new control over Harry.
"Fine" Harry said, trying to decide if he made the right decision.
First lesson
Harry was uncomfortably pacing in front of the door; this had been a stupid decision. What was he thinking? The knock came and Harry opened the door, "You changed?" Harry said looking at Draco in surprise, he stood before Harry in what could only be described as relaxed robes; they were not the tailored formal robes Draco had worn earlier.
"And you didn't?" Draco asked confused "Why would you wear your stuffy work robes to practice in?"
"My work robes are not stuffy," Harry defended "I have to be able to move easily in them in case I end up in a fight"
Draco laughed "wear what you want, can I come in or are we going to have lessons here on the front step?"
Harry realized he was blocking the door "Oh, come in."
Harry led Draco up the stairs "Oh Potter, wherever are you taking me?" Draco asked coyly and let out a little girly giggle.
Harry blushed again, why was he always doing that? "The sitting room is up here."
"Okay, I think we should start sitting down, I have heard it can throw you pretty hard if you are inexperienced." Draco said sitting on the floor.
"Yeah." Harry said sitting across from Draco.
"Now I need you to close your mind, empty yourself of emotion."
"I've heard that before." Harry said.
"Did you do it? If you did, it should not have been a problem. Now clear your mind and feel nothing. I am going to start." Draco pulled out his wand "are you ready?" Harry nodded "Legilimens"
Harry was thrown back against a shelf in potions, Snape looming over him yelling "empty yourself of emotion" "wallowing in sad memories" "Weak" "Brace yourself" "remedial potions lessons" he sneered as Draco laughed. It felt like a movie that had been edited badly was playing before Harry's mind, jumping about. Harry was repeatedly thrown into shelves and tables and the ground.
"Are you okay?" Draco asked with concern. Harry opened his eyes and saw the ceiling and Draco kneeling over him, worry etched all over his face.
Harry grabbed his head "This was a bad idea, I changed my mind, we should just stop."
"No wonder you never learned occlumency. He really was a bad teacher." Draco said shocked at what he had just witnessed "But don't give up just yet. Now that I know what we are working with I know what to do." Draco helped Harry sit back up. He grabbed some cushions off the couch and laid them behind Harry.
"Close your eyes." Draco said calmly and smoothly.
"No." Harry said worried.
"This is the quickest way to controlling your feelings." Draco explained "trust me."
Harry looked at Draco, trusting him seemed like an idiotic thing to do.
"Look Potter if you are not going to trust me then I may as well leave because we are not going to get anywhere." Draco said moving to get up.
"How can I trust you? We have too much… history." Harry said uncomfortably.
"Fine I'll leave." Draco said standing up "Sorry I wasted our time." He moved towards the door.
"Wait, just wait. What if I could have Kreacher come in and watch us. I would feel more comfortable and would be able to do everything you told me." Harry asked.
"And how would I know he would not attack me?" Draco countered.
"Kreacher" Harry called out.
Pop, Kreacher was standing before them "Yes master?"
"Can you watch us? This is an order though, if either of us does anything to harm the other, stop the situation." Harry requested looking at Draco to see if this was an acceptable solution, Draco just shrugged.
Kreacher looked as if this was a waste of his time but bowed "As you wish master."
Draco sat back on the floor; he took a deep breath and let it out "Let's start again. Close your eyes." His voice calming and warm. Harry complied closing his eyes "This time I will be more gentle when I push, but I want you to push back." Harry understood, he had pushed back against Snape before. "Now breathe in, focus on the breathing, hold it, keep holding it, now breathe out slowly. Control your breathing, focus only on your breathing." Harry followed the directions but his mind kept wandering to how stupid this was. "Stop that" Draco said annoyed and trying to force the calm back into his voice. "Focus on the breathing, think of nothing else, especially how stupid you think this is. Now breathe in" Harry focused on the breathing, breathe in, breathe out, he listened to every calm command Draco made. "Very good, now empty your mind of all emotion as you empty your lungs of air, no thoughts, no emotion, I want you to be a blank slate. Breathe in, now breathe out."
Harry felt at peace, no thoughts, but he still had peace as an emotion. He focused on breathing till there was nothing, he felt nothing. "Very good, now I am going to try legilimens on you, I want you to keep your mind clear as I do it. Open your eyes and I will start." Harry opened his eyes, Draco had out his wand "Ready?" Harry nodded and calmly Draco said "Legilimens"
Harry was off in a deserted corridor, his lips pressed firmly against Ginny's. He had his hands tangled in her red hair as he pulled her closer, kissing more passionately. Her hands rubbing up and down his back pulling him in. Harry pushed hard to get Draco out of his thoughts and pushed right into Draco's memory. "Draco do not embarrass me" Lucius hissed.
Draco coughed "ah, well, how about a break." He was looking towards the family tree like it was very interesting but his face was bright red.
"Good idea, I um, I'm going to go to the water closet." Harry got up his face burning. That was so embarrassing, why on earth would that come up. He went into the restroom and looked in the mirror, his face was still red. At least he didn't tease me about it Harry thought, he was as embarrassed as I was. Harry waited till his face was a normal color before going back to the sitting room.
Draco was examining the family tree. "That's kind of messed up isn't it?"
Harry walked over to the tree standing next to Draco "Which part?"
Draco pointed to the scorched mark where Andromeda used to be "That is my aunt. I didn't even know about her until Voldemort started making jokes about pupsitting her, how did he put it, half breed grandchild. I have a cousin, or maybe a second cousin, not sure about that, but they are not on here."
"His name is Teddy. I visit him once a week." Harry said looking at Draco "I'm his godfather."
"Oh," Draco was unsure what to say next and turned a little pink "How about we get back to lessons. You pushed me out that last time so you are getting better."
"Well I think we both wanted out of that one." Harry said uncomfortably.
Draco looked away and nodded equally uncomfortable.
Draco and Harry sat looking at each other "Ok so my goal is to get you to be able to succeed in occlumency with the meditation and then get you to the point you can do it without the meditation. Then we can work on Legilimens." Draco pulled out his wand and made two smoke figures appear between them "Occlumency and legilimens are very close" He waved his wand and made a line between the two figures "Most of the time people stay on their side of the line, they keep to their own thoughts but sometimes one person pushes into the thoughts of another person" one figure crossed the line to the other side "That is legilimens, you protect yourself with occlumency" The figure was pushed back to his side "If you are good at occlumency you can push them back to just their line and not go over it into their thoughts," Draco gave Harry a quick look "if you have mastered occlumency you can open parts of the line but keep others protected" The first figure walked along the line till it could push to the other side "I want you to try to push me back just like you did but not push into my memories. Now close your eyes." Harry glanced over to Kreacher still watching the two, and he closed his eyes "Take a deep breath hold it, now breathe out all your emotions. Take a deep breath, hold it, now breathe out all your thoughts. Breathe in, hold it, breathe out till you are empty. Be nothing, breathe, you are a void, breathe. Now open your eyes when you are ready", Harry opened his eyes, Draco waved his wand "Legilimens"
Petunia sneered at him "Knew, knew. Of course we knew. How could you not be, my dratted sister being who she was? Oh she got a letter just like that and disappeared off to that, that school, and came home every vacation with her pockets full of frog spawn, turning teacups into rats. I was the only one who saw her for what she was – a freak!"
"Wow, who was that?" Draco asked taken aback.
"My aunt, she raised me, that was the day I found out I was a wizard. That was also the day I found out how my parents really died." Harry looked at Draco "that was actually the day I met you for the first time."
"I didn't make that day any easier did I?" Draco said remembering the event.
"Not really, I felt like an outcast from two worlds. I didn't belong to one and knew nothing about the other." Harry said.
"You should have been able to stop that, you stopped the other one. Why didn't you stop that one?" Draco was curious.
"Not as embarrassing really, and I don't think you ever saw that side from anyone before. You only know the wizarding side, you don't know how some muggle borns are treated at home. I really hated going there. I didn't mind because I thought maybe you could learn something new."
"You are sharing with me?" Draco looked confused "Less than an hour ago you wouldn't trust me to be in the room alone with you with your eyes closed."
"Maybe we can understand each other better if we know our pasts." Harry said "We might not be best friends, but we can at least come to an understanding."
"I wanted to be your friend that day we met, I really did." Draco rolled his eyes "That worked out well, it just got worse and worse every time we saw each other."
"Share one with me, one of your memories." Harry said.
"I don't know about that." Draco said uncomfortably "Maybe we should call it a night, I'll come back tomorrow." He got up "Will you have the pensive tomorrow or should I not come to the ministry?"
"I asked McGonagall if I could use it. It might be a while before it arrives though." Harry said disappointed "I could still use any information you can give me though."
"Fine, I will come tomorrow to tell you what I can think of. I'll show myself out." Draco said leaving the room.
Memories
Draco sat at the table, one glass vial and one pensive sat between him and Harry.
"Potter, this will not be easy. You might see things you don't like, I know I did."
"Thanks for the warning. Can you take me to a memory where the most Death eaters were in one place with you." Harry asked.
Draco's face paled and he breathed hard "I can do that." He placed the tip of his wand to his temple and pulled out a thin silver ribbon and placed it directly into the pensive. He took a deep breath and put his face into the pensive.
Harry wondered why Draco was so uncomfortable going into the pensive, he had explained it was just going to put them in a memory. Harry put his face in too.
The room was dark there was a long table with only two seats empty something was floating above the table, the real Draco looked at the floor while the memory Draco was staring at the form floating above the table.
"You look around." Draco said sounding like he was going to be sick. "I'll be here". Harry walked around the scene listening, being absolutely disgusted by what he saw and heard.
He walked back over to Draco "Let's go back now"
They pulled out of the pensive. Draco raised his hand to his mouth, stood up quickly and ran out of the room.
Harry sat alone making notes about what he saw between bouts of wanting to run to the restroom himself. He just watched a woman get murdered, a teacher at his school.
Draco came back into the room and sat in his chair, his face still pale.
"I'm sorry, I did not realize exactly what I was asking you to do." Harry said "are they all that bad?"
"I… I tried to warn you." Draco said weakly "I have seen things I never wanted to see and I never want to see again. Do what you want in my memories; I'm not going back in"
"There, uh, there was a lot to unpack there, so I, I will write what I can remember and go back in, to make sure I did not miss anything." Harry said, dreading the trip back.
Draco nodded numbly "get everything you can and make them pay" Draco swallowed uncomfortably like he was trying to swallow a golf ball.
They sat in silence Harry scratching away at the parchment. He took a deep breath and went back into the memory; he could not help but watch Draco and how he reacted to everything going on around him. Harry felt pity for Draco, he never really understood what had been happening in his life.
When he came back out of the memory he looked at Draco just a little differently. "Did you get everything this time?" Draco asked. Harry nodded and wrote as Draco took the memory back.
"I think I am done for today" Draco said "I'll keep coming back till you think we don't need anymore"
Breakthrough
"Perfect, you fully blocked me three times in a row" Draco said "I think you can try without meditation now."
"You sure, it has taken me a week to just get to this point. I don't know if I am ready to do it without the meditation." Harry said the confidence he has just gained disappearing quickly.
"Just try a shortcut version. You know how it feels to empty your emotions and thoughts. Just try to get there quicker." Draco said "you know if you actually have to do this during an interview with a deatheater they are not going to give you time to meditate right?"
Harry took a breath and tried to empty himself of thought and emotion.
"Ready" Draco asked holding his wand, Harry nodded "Legilimens"
Harry was flying on his broom exhilarated; he had never felt so free. He could go as high or fast as he wanted, he was good at something in the wizarding world.
"Cute, but I believe we were trying to block those types of memories, all memories." Draco said with a small smile. "Try again"
Harry took a deep breath and cleared his mind as he blew the air out he looked at Draco. Draco smirked a little as he waved his wand "Legilimens"
Harry held Ginny as she laughed "I told her it was a Hungarian Horntail much more macho"
"Potter are you even trying?" Draco lamented "I know you were a cute couple but I'm getting a little tired of seeing it. At this point I think I have seen every moment the two of you shared"
"Sorry, I really thought I had it, I don't know what distracted me." Harry said looking away and turning red once again.
"You can do this, you know it, just focus and block everything." Draco said with an encouraging smile "get ready" Harry closed his eyes, focused, breathed and blocked everything, he opened his eyes and looked in to the Ice grey eyes staring intently at him his cheeks flushed as Draco said "Legilimens"
The Gryffindor common room was full of celebration, Harry rushed over to Ginny and kissed her in front of the whole room, he kissed her and kissed her.
"Damn it Potter." Draco said with an annoyed sigh "I'm done. I can't work with you anymore tonight, apparently your head is not in this. Try to work it out before tomorrow, because I'm not just going to sit here and watch you kissy face the red head all night." Draco stormed out of the room.
"I'm sorry" Harry yelled after him. Why did it keep happening? Harry thought as he rubbed his face. They both decided it would not work, he was happy she moved on. They both knew in the end it would not work so why did these thoughts keep coming up?
The last pensive viewing
"I am supposed to send the Pensive back tomorrow" Harry said "I know this has been rather uncomfortable and I have put in my report what a sacrifice this has been for you."
Draco nodded "I have to say I think I will be glad to have this done. It has really taken a lot out me, to bring up all the things I would rather forget."
"Do you have another memory that you think would help." Harry asked.
"Yeah, I think I have one you should get a few specifics on who did a couple of assignments" Draco pulled out a memory and placed it in the pensive.
"You sure you don't want to come." Harry asked holding the pensive, he always offered just in case Draco changed his mind.
"Very." Draco said looking away from the pensive.
Harry put his face in and landed once again in the dining room, the long table full of people. Harry walked around looking at their faces, every one of them had been on the list Draco wrote the first day. He listened to them discuss what they had planned and how the previous assignments had gone. They talked about where they thought Harry was hiding. Draco looked almost relieved that they had no clue where he was. When the meeting was over, curiosity got the better of Harry and he followed Draco from the room. He went to his bedroom, a knock came almost immediately "Draco, can I come in" Narcissa was at the door.
"Come in mother" Draco said distantly. Narcissa looked at Draco and closed the door, they sat on Draco's bed and cried.
"I'm sorry I cannot protect you from this" she said.
"Everything is wrong, how can they feel proud of themselves? The way they hurt people? The way they hunt people like it is a game? Why did dad ever think this was okay?" Draco cried into his mother's shoulder.
Narcissa took Draco's face in her hands and made him look at her, "Sometimes it is too late to realize you made a mistake, that something you believed in is very wrong. It's not too late for you. You are not so far gone" She kissed him on the head "Wash your face and come down to dinner, we cannot show them that they got to us." She left the room and Draco went into his bathroom. Harry looked around the room, green and silver proudly displayed in every corner. The furniture looked old and expensive. Harry heard the water stop and looked into the room Draco stood in front of his mirror, the top of his robe open, he traced the thin scars on his chest. He looked a million miles away.
"I think you passed the important part" Draco said next to him "You should leave now."
Harry looked guilty at Draco "I'm sorry, I just needed to know how you dealt with a meeting like that. It says more than anything you could ever tell me."
"Well you saw it, so leave." Draco said firmly.
Harry pulled out of the pensive and watched as Draco pulled himself out as well.
"How did you get those scars?" Harry asked as Draco took back his memory
Draco laughed, looked around and laughed some more. "Really?" He looked at Harry like he was an idiot. Harry did not respond "You did that." Draco scoffed "that is what was left after our little bathroom fight."
"I didn't know, I didn't realize." Harry said guiltily.
"Then maybe you shouldn't use spells unless you know what they do." Draco said angrily. "I'm done. See you later." He got up and left before Harry could say another word.
Sorry
Harry paced in front of the door. He was not sure if Draco was going to come or not and he really needed to talk to him. He paced and paced feeling hopeless till the knock came. Harry hastily opened the door.
"You came" Harry said breathlessly.
"Yes, I'm supposed to teach you." Draco said, coldly entering the house without waiting to be invited.
"I thought maybe you would not come, because you know." Harry said uncomfortably.
"We made an agreement. I'm sticking to it, even if I'm madder at you than I have ever been in my life." Draco said leading the way to the sitting room.
"I'm sorry, I should not have stayed without asking your permission." Harry said desperately.
"You're right you should not have, but you did." Draco said sitting on the floor pointing across from him "Breathe if you need to."
Harry sat and started breathing, he tried to clear his mind but it was full of guilt. He listened to Draco breathing, it did not sound calm, he did not have the same soothing voice he used all the nights before. Everything felt off.
"Are you ready?" Draco asked and without waiting "Legilimens"
Lips were pressed together like they were fighting for dominance. The pale skin mixed with the creamy brown skin, they rolled in the sheet, Draco lying on top. Blaze bit Draco on the neck, Draco threw his head back and moaned "Haa".
Harry's eyes widened. Draco stood up "I can't do this tonight." And he started to walk out of the room.
"Stop" Harry said in his most commanding voice "come back here."
"I don't have to." Draco said angrily "I don't have to do anything you say, I don't have to do anything for you." And he continued walking.
Harry got up and grabbed Draco's wrist "Please stop." He said calmly.
Draco closed his eyes, flinching away from the pain from the gentle touch "What?" he spat.
Harry led him back into the room and sat on the couch "What was that?"
Draco laughed "Are you really this stupid?" it was not mocking, it was a desperate question.
"Did you like it?" Harry asked.
"You are still holding me" Draco said full of pain.
"Did you like it?" Harry repeated.
"Yes. Why wouldn't I?" Draco asked "His lips were soft and he kissed me with a passion I didn't know existed in this world. He made me feel good."
"Are you still with him?" Harry asked
"With him? With him? You make it sound like we were dating, I was never with him." Draco said full of frustration.
"Did you like him?" Harry asked.
"No, he is a pompous ass." Draco said "so full of himself. But he gave me something I needed"
"Sounds like you had a lot in common." Harry said cheekily.
"Please, let go of me" Draco said.
"Are you sure?" Harry asked loosening his grip
Draco stopped breathing just a second longer than normal.
Harry tightened his hold "You don't want me to."
"I don't want to be played with." Draco said firmly looking at the door "This is not game, this is not a joke. Yes I like you touching me, holding me, but I will not be toyed around with or experimented with. I would rather be alone than in something so fake. Please just let go of me."
"What if I don't want to?" Harry asked tenderly.
Draco looked at Harry trying to figure out what was happening. He could not find ill intent "Legilimens" he whispered.
Harry stared intently at Draco holding his wrist, a moment frozen in time.
"Why didn't it work?" Draco growled frustrated.
"It did, this is all I am thinking about right now." Harry said "I want to know what happens next. Do I let go of your hand and you leave? Or do I continue holding it and you stay?"
"Why are you doing this?" Draco cried "why?"
"I have an idea, what if we do what you did with Blaze? No strings attached, we make out, feel better and we have no obligation to each other? I could give you what you need. Would that make you happy?" Harry asked.
"No, I don't want that." Draco said looking away.
Harry raised his free hand, gently touched Draco's chin and guided it towards himself, he placed a light kiss on Draco's lips.
A single tear fell down Draco's cheek "Please don't do this to me" he pleaded weakly.
Harry put both hands on the sides of Draco's face and kissed the tear away, then he kissed his lips again softly.
Draco pulled away "No, I don't want to be your toy."
"Then don't be." Harry said holding Draco's hands.
Draco looked at Harry "You liked Ginny, I felt it in your memories, you were not pretending. You really liked her. I am not some rebound one night stand just to satisfy you till she gets back."
"She isn't coming back, at least not to me. We had something good for a while but it ended, we agreed to be friends but we will never be anything more. We are different people than we were in those memories." Harry said "Just like you and I are different people than we were in school."
Draco looked at the floor "You like girls."
"I do" Harry said not denying it "but that does not mean I can't like boys too."
Draco looked up at Harry "You're messing with me. Toying around with the gay boy that has a crush on you, it's cruel and pathetic." Draco pulled his hands away angrily "The joke is over, I'm done" He stood up and walked away
"Do it again. Use legilimens, see for yourself. I'm not toying with you, I'm not playing a joke." Harry said desperately.
Draco walked out the door. Harry ran to the door "Please don't leave" Harry yelled "Please try it again." Draco stopped his hand on the doorknob as he watched Harry run down the stairs "Do it again."
Draco lifted a shaky wand and looked into Harry's green eyes "Legilimens".
It felt like a hurricane of a slideshow hit Draco. Draco smirking, laughing, crying, looking over at Harry worried. Draco throwing his hand to his mouth and running out of the room. Draco lowering his wand with Dumbledore in the tower. Draco saying he was not sure if it was Potter at Malfoy manor. Draco fell back and hit the front door from the force of the thoughts, the many memories flooding him.
"Please don't go" Harry begged, gasping for air.
Draco slid down the door collapsing onto the ground, Harry sat next to him and moved to hold his hand but put his hand in his lap instead. Draco took Harry's hand and squeezed it tightly. They sat against the door, hearts pounding; holding hands till Kreacher came into the hall. He looked at the two sitting undignified on the floor "Dinner is ready master" he bowed and went back to the kitchen.
"Would you like to stay for dinner" Harry asked awkwardly.
"Yes, please" Draco said
