Chapter One
Charlie was finishing up grading papers as Millie was trying to get a phone call into one of the teachers, who supposed to meet with her that morning but didn't show up and now she has spent the day trying to track the man down with no luck.
"Everything ok, Millie?" Charlie asked with concern
"I'm not sure, I have been trying to get a hold on Professor March for the last few hours but some reason that I haven't been able to reach him and I am wondering if something is wrong." Millie answered, sounding almost defeated
Charlie wasn't sure if he should be concerned, as Arthur March has had a tendency to disappear for a few days without telling anyone, which even Charlie got annoyed with him doing it. However, March made an effort not to do it after getting threatened with being fired and there hadn't been an incident of him going anywhere without telling anyone.
'Either he is relapsing or there is something seriously wrong going on,' Charlie thought but he decided it was something worth looking into.
"Maybe when Don and Robin stop by on their way home, maybe you can talk to Don about it and see what he thinks."
"I think that's a good idea, as I feel like I should call the police or something because no one seems to know where he is!"
Millie wondered if she is overreacting or not as there has been a couple times where a teacher disappeared for half a day, worrying everyone but it turned out that they got lost in their work, which she was familiar with.
'Still, it doesn't hurt to check,' she thought, 'besides, how much trouble can March get himself into?'
She had no idea how much can happen in a day to a professor.
