Sirius looked to Harry hesitantly as she came down in a mini skirt and a black tank top. It was morning and time for breakfast and it was clear she was going somewhere dressed up as she was. "Where are you heading off to," he questioned in an attempt to begin a conversation with her.
He nearly cringed back at the glare she gave him. "its none of your business," She said bluntly.
"Sorry," Sirius said as she left. So he wasn't off to the best start of trying to get to know her. He decided hed try again after she returned.
She, however, did not return until hours later with Percy just barely in time for dinner.
Arthur went to his son, it was clear that he was silently looking him over, making sure he was alright. "how was your days," he asked finally.
Percy gave his dad a grin. He was pretty easy to predict. Something that Percy appreciated. "Good, I got a lot done today. How about your's dad? I never saw you around the ministry."
"It was a day," Arthur replied though it was clear he was pretty tired. The stress of everything was getting to him. "Dinners almost ready. We will be having some guests. The order will be staying as we have a meeting later."
"Wonderful," Harry muttered rolling her eyes. She knew enough about this little group to know they'd be far too interested in them after finding them in the alley. More mindless demands and brain-melting conversations.
Arthur however quickly changed things to another topic having heard that. He was trying to keep things as tension free as possible with the group. "What time do you work tomorrow? We could maybe get lunch together?"
Percy nodded, he had missed doing that with his dad as he had when he first began working there. It had been a while since they made plans. "7 to 5 is the plan but then again, getting out at five would make it a good day. I can take lunch whenever you are off," Percy agreed as they went to the kitchen table. The twins had bunny ears on their heads and wouldn't look at Harry or Percy. Percy got a good chuckle as everyone settled in.
They continued talking to Arthur clearly ignoring everyone else. Even Bill and Charlie when they tried to insert themselves into the conversation. Well, Harry ignored them. Arthur was shocked to see her do it so effortlessly keeping them separate and not even acknowledging their presence. A large part of him could understand why. They had done very little to look out for Percy, but what Arthur didn't understand was why she still liked him. He had failed just as badly to protect his son.
He couldn't think of it for long since Harry was asking him a question. "Mr. Weasley, what is your opinion on neutral theory," Harry asked curiously. Percy looked to her surprised since it was a very strange question to ask randomly. She shrugged off the confused look from the redhead. "What? You've said your dad is one of the most intelligent people you know. I am curious about his theoretical knowledge and neutral theory popped into my head."
Percy chuckled since that was his girlfriend. She would think of the most random topics and not even flinch. "How out of everything did neutral theory pop into your head?"
She shrugged not bothered by his question, Ronald, however, scoffed at the idea of his dad being one of the most intelligent people. Something that Arthur and his other sons noticed. Arthur decided to play that game with her if she wanted to. "Neutral theory, we talking paradoxical, runic, magic, or core?"
She grinned. Percy was right. Very few people would consider asking that question let alone be able to name all the types. She had taken an interest in the theory early on but to have that question thrown at him and come up with that as a response, he was obviously more knowledgeable then people thought. "Magic preferred though I'd love your opinion on core theory?"
"I find magical neutrality theory extremely plausible if lacking in a few key fields," Arthur offered. "The overlaying theory seems extremely plausible but when you break it into its most basic standards you find some problems with the structure. It lacks the ability to explain key elements of magic that should not be ignored. The mixed magic theory follows stronger then neutrality if you combine both theoretical standpoints you would be more likely to develop an understanding of all aspects. What about you?"
While most of the room was gaping in pure shock, Harry was grinning. "I definitely agree, the mixed magic theory is more plausible due to magical strings, it explains line power theory in and of itself but fails to point reason at slightly off based magical lineage with an accent on spell theory. A mix of the two seems more likely to be accurate. You know, I thought Percy was exaggerating your magical knowledge cause you know you are his dad but you really are as intelligent as he says."
"I know a bit of everything but a lot about nothing," Arthur said laughing, though he had a slight blush at the compliment. Very few people would debate theories with him. "I am not that intelligent. You, however, seem to have an extremely well-developed knowledge basis for someone only 15 years old. I am suitably impressed."
She grinned as Percy did the same, "I try. I get bored sometimes, What are your thoughts about the development of magical orientated muggle products with key processors that allow only magical to activate the abnormalities in the basic tech signatures to protect the statute of secrecy?"
"Its an interesting theory but difficult to actually make something of it. I've attempted to in the past but the magical levels overpower the muggle energy every time."
The two got into a conversation jumping from theory to theory, Percy adding his comments every now and again, everyone at the table just looked at them shocked having no idea for the most part what was being said.
Finally getting extremely irritated at the statements and being ignored, Hermione Granger decided to speak up and interrupt them. "None of that exists," Granger sneered. "You all are just talking nonsense."
Sirius shook his head, he was finding more and more he really didn't like the bushy-haired girl. "I've heard mention of some of these theory bases, Lily was into theory a lot and was always talking about the differences and how things were lacking. How to adapt them. They exist but they are mastery level in multiple fields. I lost track of what they were saying at the line power theories. Really how on earth do you both know all this?"
"It is not mastery, more bits of theory interlinked," Arthur offered blushing since he got away from himself. "We deal with a lot of theoretical problems in muggle relations due to how magic connects to muggle items often rendering curses unstable. It is not as complex as it sounds."
Percy shook his head, his dad always did that. He was clearly intelligent but he always put himself down or ignored how much he was capable of. It was something he hated. "Don't sell yourself, short dad, you even out theorized Harry at points. I don't have even part of that theoretical standpoint. You should have gone into the unspeakable's. You would have done very well there."
"No, I am happy where I am," Arthur stated. It was something his son had said on more than one occasion.
Harry nodded accepting it. It had really been trying to prove a point anyways. Especially as the table had a few gaping professors. They tended to insist she wasn't intelligent and had heard a few things said about the redhead as well. Mostly from the younger crowd about how things would clearly go over his head. She felt her point was proven and she even got to irritate the know it all because she was called out for being the one who was wrong in front of everyone. It was a good day. "It is still, impressive, I'd love to dissect your brain on Ruinic theories. I heard you have an interesting history with runic connections on muggle objects."
He blushed again as Percy mouthed the car. Harry, of course, had known about it and hated that she never got to see it work in person. Harry just laughed, "thanks for the meal, and thanks for the conversation." She couldn't escape without one more parting shot. "Nice ears Fred, George."
They shot her glares as she and Percy ran up the steps.
"Holy crap Arthur," Sirius said causing him to blush. "I knew you were always smart but that was impressive."
"I'm sorry she...well ignored you again."
Sirius couldn't be offended by that at the moment, he was too amazed at the conversation he had witnessed. He could try again. "She is brilliant. I do not think her mother could even have gone as far and as fast as she did."
"She really is," Remus said amazed. How on earth did she hide being that intelligent and why would someone hide being as smart as she was? "She never really showed that in my classroom. I had no idea she was so advanced."
"She is not advanced," Hermione said clearly irritated at the idea of her being smart.
The group of them chose to ignore her. "She is very intelligent," Arthur said. "She would have to be an O student. Most of those theories are from seventh year or higher. I only know of them because I had to research them for work."
Bill spoke up since he was less likely to be ignored now that she was gone. "Dad, why have you never spoke about these things."
Arthur laughed, "Its not typically supper conversations son."
"I mean at all. It is obvious you are really knowledgeable. I have a mastery in runes and you know more on the theory you guys were talking about than I ever dreamed. Why have we never gotten into a discussion on it."
Arthur couldn't keep the blush off his face. "It is really not that big of a deal."
"No dad, you were awesome," Charlie said. "I have no idea what you were talking about but you never talk about how you are like mastery level."
"Guess you can't hide it anymore," Sirius offered him. "Any chance you can help me learn some of these things. Clearly, it is something that she is interested in. Maybe it can help me get a starting point."
"If it will help I'd love to," Arthur agreed. "Its been a long time since anyone wanted to talk to me about these things."
"I was unaware as well that she was so knowledgeable," McGonagall admitted confused.
"Enough of that, for now, lets clear things away, it is time the children leave so we can begin the meeting. Lovely meal as always Molly," Albus said though he was thinking about what he could have missed about the Potter girl. Perhaps she could be more useful then he had considered.

"What was that about Harry," Percy asked.
She chuckled leaning into him as they settled in. "I wanted to hear just how smart your dad is. I mean flying car Percy."
He knew better than to accept that was it. "No its something more. You always have a point to anything you do or say."
Harry was silent for a moment before answering. Clearly, she was collecting her thoughts. "You know your dad is intelligent. We spoke about the flying car though you were worried about him getting in trouble, it is clearly advanced. You hate that at the ministry he is seen as an old coot and a muggle obsessed scatterbrain. You get angry at it all the time."
"I do," Percy said.
"And people here, do not give him the credit he deserves. You hate that even your brothers don't see the potential he clearly has. He could be a member of the unspeakables. I know you guys have fought about how he is wasted in the muggle section but how he enjoys it. I wanted to know why someone that smart would pretend he wasn't and at the same time, give everyone a bit of a show. I like Mr. Weasley. I think he deserves more respect then the order and your family give him."
Percy melted slightly at that statement, "Thank you," He said gratefully.
"No need to thank me, Percy. Besides, I loved hearing what he had to say. He is so smart. I wasn't prepared for just how smart he is. Since he does mess up the words to muggle things but he can talk about complex theories. And it got me out of having to make small talk with people and I got to show the professors I am not the halfwit they seem to think I am."
Percy gave her a mind-blowing kiss. "Love you so much. You are amazing."
DISCLAIMER: Sorry about the randomness of this chapter. I wanted to show that Arthur had a lot of potentials (Hense the car, clearly he was intelligent) and I also wanted Harry to show off a bit. It would make her more interesting to Dumbledore and the Order. I hope it did not bother you too much.
