Chapter Two

The Vincent Thomas Bridge…

Jack arrived at the meeting place, feeling more and more apprehensive as he got closer, wondering if he is being set up or not.

'Why did I think it was a good idea to come here?' Jack wondered, not for the first time since he got the message

He also started to think about when he was sixteen, when he first got into this whole mess:

16-year-old Ronnie Holden was waiting for the school bus, like any other day during the school year but he had a strange feeling that something different was going today. The bus was late, which was strange, since as far as he could remember, the bus was never late, let alone for almost thirty minutes.

'I don't know whether to either wait or just walk to school, as it's cutting it close right now if the bus gets here in a few minutes.'

Before he could decide on what to do, a couple of rough looking kids were walking up to him, which made him even more anxious as they didn't look friendly and that he should probably run.

Ronnie tried to get away but one of the older boys grabbed him and pulled him up with his face and said something that will always stick with him.

"You belong with us, Ronnie, no one will know where you will be for a long time," The older boy, who he later learned was named Hal, took him and placed him in a car and drove off to somewhere he had no idea where they were going.

Jack was pulled out of his thoughts when he spotted another man also approaching a bridge, making him wonder if it's Archer or someone else going there as well. In fact, as he got closer, he realized that the guy looked familiar and Jack knew the person from somewhere but he couldn't quite place it.

He spotted another man under the bridge, realizing it was Archer, as he previously met Archer, though he wasn't informed of his visit. Archer just suddenly came in the living room and told Jack that he knew whom Jack was and that he will contact him again at some point in a couple weeks.

"Archer," Jack said as he came up to the man

"Hello Jack," Archer said with a strange smile as he looked at the direction of the other man, adding when the man arrived

"Hello Arthur, I believe you two know each other," He said

The two men took one close look at each other and they immediately recognized each other

"Ronnie?" The man said in shock

"Roger?" Jack said in equal shock

"What happened to you?" Both asked at the same time

"It appears that a lot has happened since the day you were taken, right Ronnie?" Archer asked in a very strange tone

Jack turned to Archer; confused as to what has been happening right now, especially since he thought Roger died a long time ago, from what he was told after he escaped

"Who are you?" Jack asked, "And more importantly, how did you find my older brother even though he was supposed to have been dead since I was six years old?"
