Author's Note: Adds a little more to both March and Jack's past, as well moving the plot more. Let me know if this works.
Chapter Four
Meanwhile…
The Bridge…
Arthur was staring in shock at the sight of seeing his younger brother in front of him, even when he thought he would never see him again. It has been over thirty years but he can still recognize the little boy he was playing with when he was suddenly taken by a couple strange men when he was only Thirteen years old.
13-year-old Roger was playing catch with Ronnie when he heard some strange sounds behind their fence, making him wonder as to what was going on and why someone would be sneaking around.
"Rog, what's going on?" Ronnie asked, using his nickname since his little brother had trouble saying his name when he was younger, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"I don't know but I am going to take a quick look while you go in the house all right?"
"Be careful, bro," Ronnie said as he went into the house
Roger cautiously walked towards the fence, wondering if it was someone they know who was just sneaking around for some reason.
'It can't be Barb, she is still at camp, and the other neighbors are in Florida for another week,'
He also knew that Mom was taking a nap while Dad was out at the grocery store and would be back soon.
Before he could think of anything else, a figure suddenly burst out of the bushes, and grabbed the horrified thirteen year old and he had no memory after that since something was covering his mouth and he didn't wake up until sometime later.
Ronnie was just as surprised since he was trying to get their Mom to come up while that happened, causing them both to run out and see a car screeching away before they could do anything else.
'Roger, what has happened to you after all these years,' He wondered sadly, thinking about all the time they did trying to find him but even Jack was giving up hope, as he had no idea what to even do.
Before either one could say anything, Archer was the first to say something:
"I know you too have a lot of questions right now but we don't have the time as the gang that caused all this is planning an attack on the city and we need to contact Agent Eppes since he is one of their first targets."
This caused a pit in Jack's stomach, as he remembered that Eppes and his team were almost killed by men that were after him years ago. Jack had made a vow to one day help, but he wondered if the Agent would believe him about this, as he wasn't so sure as to what to say about his past.
'I guess I'm about to find out,' He thought to himself
"What do you want us to even do?" He still asked, mostly because he wanted to see what the man had planned for them
"We have to head for the FBI building, as I had found out today that the same people who took both of you are coming after him tonight."
This caused both Jack and March to stare at him in shock, as they couldn't believe that those people doing this to an adult, let alone an FBI agent.
"Why are they going after Agent Eppes?" March asked
"Because Assistant Director Eppes is a highly valuable target for them, as they want to draw out as many agents as possible to aid their plans."
'Oh great, so that guy who was raving about trying to get rid of anyone who stood in his way is finally doing it,' Jack thought
"Is it Marc Thorne who is doing this?" He asked
"No, it's his son, Darin Thorne, going by FBI agent Rick Johnson," Archer began to say
"Wait, Darin's in charge of this whole thing?" Both men said
"Yes, but there is no time, we have to go now," Archer said
Both of them reluctantly agreed, in part to find out more answers about what had happened to them but also for Jack to help Eppes, he knew he owed him a lot.
'I hope we are not too late,' He thought
