Barbara and Damian spent the next half hour mourning the loss of Bruce. Bruce had been many things to Barbara. He was her mentor, hero, and father figure. She was like a daughter to him. And now... He was gone. But Barbara knew that if Bruce was here, he'd tell them to grieve later, and continue fighting. "Alright, I think I have a plan," began Barbara. "What's the plan?" Damian asked. "I'm gonna need to supply on weapons and a suit," said Barbara, "I can't go back to my apartment. I think my technology has been infected with the virus already. And if I checked, I'm as good as dead. The Batcave has one of my old suits that probably still fits me. I'm going to suit up, find my father, see if he's still alive, and if he is, we're gonna drive to Bellevue to find Andrea and your brother, Damian. Hopefully they're alive."

"Need a lift to Wayne Manor?" Dinah offered. "Sure," said Barbara as she got ready to fly. "Good luck Barbara, and be safe. I wouldn't wanna lose my big sister today," said Damian. "You won't," promised Barbara. Dinah then carried Barbara and used her Grern Lantern ring to fly out of Metropolis. A few minutes later, Dinah and Barbara landed outside Wayne Manor. By that point, Alfred had already left the house. "Thanks for the lift Dinah," said Barbara. "No problem hun," replied Dinah, "if you need help, just holler, and Clark and I will be there." Barbara nodded and said, "Godspeed to all of you." Dinah then flew away. Barbara walked to the secret passageway, when suddenly she heard a noise.

"You know, I can tell where you're hiding. Come on out," she said flatly. Suddenly, she saw who was trying to get in. It was Jason Todd, second Robin and Red Hood. "Jason?" Barbara asked in relief. Jason took off his mask and said, "Babs you're alive!" The two hugged each other. "What're you doing here?" Jason asked. "Here to get supplies, what about you?" Barbara asked in relief. The two walked to the cave as Jason explained, "Hoping to see if anyone's alright." Before Barbara could explain to Jason what'd happened, they saw a pool of blood. Below them were the lifeless bodies of Bruce still in his Batsuit, Tim Drake in his Red Robin suit, and Dick in his Nightwing suit. It was as bad as Barbara had feared. "Oh no..." Jason said. Barbara wrapped her arm around Jason's shoulder to comfort him. He looked down and silently said, "I thought... you of all people..." Suddenly, they could hear growling in the cave. Jason pulled out his gun to see who was growling. It turned out to be a dog. Not just any dog. "Ace?" Jason asked. He and Barbara squatted down to let Ace walk to them. Ace sniffed them, and then licked Barbara's face. Jason and Barbara petted him. "I know boy," said Barbara. "Don't worry. We're not gonna leave them like this. It's okay," promised Jason. "Want me to help you bury them?" Barbara offered. "Sure," said Jason. Barbara and Jason then walked to the basement inside Wayne Manor where there were some planks and shovels. Once Barbara and Jason collected those, they went back to the cave. Barbara and Jason then dug up three holes for Bruce, Dick and Tim. Once that was done, they carefully placed the dead bodies into the holes and buried them. They then scribbled their names on the planks as graves. "I never thought it would end this way," said Barbara, "For us, or for Dick."

"Anyone else alive?" Jason asked. "I think Alfred left to find Damian. Damian's alive and in Metropolis with The Kent Family, last I checked," confirmed Barbara as she went to look for one of her old Batsuits. She found her old black and yellow costume from a few years ago. She noticed that Bruce had sewn the bullet holes from years ago. "This'll do," said Barbara as she got the suit out of its display. She looked at Jason and asked, "do you mind... not looking?" Jason covered his eyes and turned around to respect Barbara's privacy. As Barbara changed into her black and yellow Batgirl costume, Jason asked, "What's your M.O., Babs?" Barbara got the top and bottom part of her suit on and explained, "My plan is to find Dad, see if he's alive, save him, and then drive to Bellevue to get Kevin and Andrea." She then got her yellow boots on. "The drive from Gotham to Bellevue will take less than two days," stated Jason, "for all we know, the virus might have spread to Bellevue already. Barbara, what if Kevin-"

"Don't you dare say it, damn it!" Barbara snapped, angrily pointing at Jason, "I have to see for myself. If there's even a 1% chance that Kevin and Andrea are alive, I'm going to check." She turned her back to buckle her yellow belt and put on her yellow gloves. "Alright then," said Jason, "But what are you gonna do afterwards after you find Kevin and Andrea alive? Are you going to take Pete's car, grab mum, kill Phillip, grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint and then wait for all this to blow over?" Barbara scowled and said, "I am in no mood for your movie references, Jason. This isn't a joking matter!" Barbara then put on her cape and mask. "Alright, alright," said Jason, "me, I plan on getting the hell out of Gotham, but I'll help you rescue your dad if he's alive. Once we rescue whoever's left, I'll drop you and Jim off at your apartment so you can get your car to drive to Bellevue. How's that sound?" Batgirl nodded and said, "sounds fair enough." They got all the guns and ammo from the basement, put it in a duffel bag, walked over to one of the Batmobiles, and Jason said, "he never let me drive the Batmobile... Mind if I drive?" Batgirl shrugged and said, "sure, why not? I'm calling shotgun." Jason got in the driver's seat, and Barbara got in the passenger's seat next to him. "Come on Ace!" Batgirl called, whistling to him. Ace ran to the Batmobile and got in. "Good boy," said Jason as he pet the dog, and then drove out of the Batcave.

Twenty minutes later, the Batmobile crashed open into the Gotham City Police Department. It was a mess to say the least. Policemen and policewomen were either dead or infected. Batgirl noticed that Harvey Bullock had been clearly infected, then killed. She saw her father, Commissioner Gordon, and Cassandra Cain in her Black Bat costume. "Dad! Cass! Get in the Batmobile if you want to live!" Batgirl said. Jim and Cassandra wasted no time getting in the Batmobile. Cassandra was now in the passengers seat, while Jim and Batgirl were in the backseat with Ace. Barbara hugged her father tightly. "Are you alright Daddy? Are you hurt?" she asked. "I'm fine sweetie," assured Jim. Barbara didn't care that her father now knew she was Batgirl. All that mattered was that he was alive and well. Jason then drove all the way to where Barbara's apartment was, letting Jim and Batgirl out of the car while shooting several undead monsters that were in the way. Batgirl brought her duffel bag of weapons out of the car with her. "Thanks for helping me get my father, Jason." Batgirl said. "No problem Babs," said Jason, "good luck finding Kevin and his mom."

"Good luck to you too Jason," said Batgirl, "take care of him, Cassandra." Cassandra took off her mask and said, "don't worry. I'll keep him in check." The Batmobile door closed, and then drove off. Barbara got her car keys out of her belt buckle, walking to her car. Jim followed as Barbara unlocked the car as she said, "Come on, get in! Here's hoping this car doesn't break down on me." She put her weapons in the backseat as Jim got in the passenger's seat. "This car hasn't broken down on you yet," said Jim, "I doubt it'll do so now." Barbara got in the driver's seat, shut the door, started the car successfully, and then started driving.
