Chapter Fifteen
Everyone was shocked and angered by what the brothers told them, meaning that they now know the evil that the gang is truly capable of and that there is a rogue faction that keeps on abducting people and Darin needs to be stopped.
"Where is your wife now?" Megan asked Ron
"She's with our kids in Oregon right now and she was told to stay at a hotel where even I wouldn't know where until this was over." Ron said, looking down with a sad look on his face.
Megan now wondered if Archer was high up in the organization or he was part of the supposed rogue faction.
'Whoever he is, I will make sure he pays for lying to us about that warehouse and for endangering everyone.'
She also decided to put Ron and Roger in protective custody at the FBI until they could figure out what to do with them but she knew that they may never have a normal life when this is all over.
'It's sad but at least maybe they will be able to have better lives when this whole situation is over,'
Then the doctor came back and everyone was nervous because they don't know if it was going to be something bad that happened.
"Doc, are they okay?" Alan asked nervously
"Don is doing better now, as his vital signs have improved significantly and Ryan is doing fine, he still has to be monitored but they are doing better now."
Everyone was beyond relieved as now they can be assured, for now, that the two men will be okay, for the time being.
"Are either of them awake?" Alan asked
"Your son is regaining consciousness so you can go see him right now but don't push him too much, okay?" She said
"Thanks doc" Alan said feeling much relief
"Thank you," Charlie said as he and Alan immediately went with Amita and Robin and the kids to go see Don.
Megan turned to Agents Morgan and Schiff to have them take the Holdens back to the FBI building and that she will meet them there after she checked on Don and Ryan and the others before turning to Dr. Markson
"Dr. Markson," Megan asked, "What about Agent Granger and Sinclair and the other men? How are they?"
"Sinclair and Granger are fine, as they mainly just suffered smoke inhalation and the others are just dealing with ringing their ears and minor bumps and bruises." Markson said, smiling
"When will they be checked out?"
"Oh, they already are, they went to go check on Ryan and Don a few minutes after they were discharged." She said
Megan couldn't help but laugh as she thanked the doctor and headed up to check on her friends before she debriefed everyone about the situation.
'Hopefully this means that this mess might soon be over but we still have to be cautious for the time being,'
