False/True Love 11: Real Date

"Agh I should really have picked her at her house." Raku said in frustration because he's been waiting for Chitoge for almost one hour in their meeting place.

He's actually getting worried now because she's not answering his phone call and she's not returning a call or even sending him a message. Because of that he doesn't know if she's still coming or if something bad happened to her – hopefully nothing because he won't forgive himself if something happened to her. He's getting uneasy thinking what he should do. And because of too much worries running in his mind, he decided that he should check Chitoge at her house to make sure that she's alright and in a right hand. He started walking away from where he is standing earlier when suddenly someone shouted his name in a distant behind him. He quickly look back when he identify who own the voice. Then he saw Chitoge seems like out of breath. He immediately walks towards her and hold her in the shoulder.

"Where have you been? What took you so long? Don't you know how worried I am thinking what could be something bad happened to you? I've been calling you but you are not answering your phone. I was about to go to your house to make sure you are alright. And then I even thought you are not coming anymore in our date. But more importantly, I'm glad you came sound and safe." Raku said without pausing. Seeing Raku act that way made Chitoge speechless, and hearing what he said in the last part made her wonder: Is he really looking forward in… our date? That aside, Chitoge can really see in his face how worried Raku is for her safety. It's true that she planned to be late today, because she wanted to know if Raku will wait for her, but she didn't imagine that Raku will act that way. The relief he showed when he saw that Chitoge is fine made her felt guilty.

"I'm really sorry Raku, I overslept, and then I forgot my phone in the house because I hurriedly go here. D-Don't worry nothing bad happened, I'm fine." Chitoge said to perfectly ensure him. And yes, she planned it, but making him wait for almost one hour is not her real plan. What she planned is to be there at the exact time of what they planned, and then watch him waiting for her from afar. But she failed, how she wish she saw what Raku looks like when he was worriedly waiting for her.

She didn't make it in time because she didn't get to sleep early last night because she can't help getting excited. She even uses a lot of time and effort just to look for the best outfit she has in her closet for her to wear. When she already had the outfit she like, she then lay down in her bed thinking she should sleep already, but didn't get to sleep yet because her mind started to imagining things that might happen in their date. The very first date she knows that they are not going to do just because they have to show to their families that their relationship is real. It's her first real date after all that's why she is excited, especially that her first date is with someone she likes – no she means, she love.

"Overslept?" Raku asked in disbelief, she answered him nodding then he thought don't tell me she didn't get to sleep early last night because she is excited? And his own thoughts make him feel pleased, at least she had a good reason even though she didn't tell it to him directly, he just know that it's the only possible reason why.

Eventually Raku knows that Chitoge is somehow safe because of her overprotective gang that always there to look out for her safety. But because he is her boyfriend he can't stop himself to be worried if something bad happened to his girlfriend. However, the real reason that made him more worried is the thought that Chitoge might not come anymore in their date.

"Next time make sure to send me a message or call me if you are going to be late, okay?" He reminded her that made Chitoge smile and thought next time…?

"Fine! Fine! Stop being OA now, beansprout." Chitoge jokingly said, he tched.

"Let's just go now." He responded and without asking, he reaches her hand to intertwine his before they start walking away.

Chitoge didn't have to get surprise in what Raku did because they are always doing it in their fake dates. But today, it feels different, because for her this date is a real deal. And whatever the reason why she's taking this date for real, she only knows it. Meanwhile, it seems like Raku just realize that he is holding her hands when they stop in the crossing lane to wait for the color red to turn to green for them to cross the road. He panicked for a moment. He didn't know if he should let go of her hand or not. He feels his hand is sweating now because of nervousness. He looks up at Chitoge and saw that it looks like she is fine holding him her hands. He still felt nervous but when he also realizes that he's always been doing this in their 'fake' dates, he calmed down. That's may be the reason why Chitoge looks fine with him holding her hand. So why is he acting like this is the first time he holds Chitoge's hand?

Chitoge then notice that Raku is looking at her so she face him, but the moment she move her head, Raku immediately look away like he is embarrassed about something and he doesn't know what to do. Chitoge giggled that made Raku look back at her thinking What's he going to do if he is dating (whoever it is) the girl that this beansprout like, I bet he'll be her laughing stock.

"O-Oi what so funny?" Raku asked her when they finally crossed the lane.

"Huh? Nothing! I just remember something. Anyways, where are we going?" She asked him back, still with their hands intertwined.

"Amusement park." He simply answered.

"Oh! That's great. It's been awhile since the last time I've been in amusement park." Chitoge sounded excited and that made Raku – once again – feel relief.

Thankfully Raku thought she won't agree with it but still think that by chance maybe Chitoge will like the idea too. He decided to take her in the amusement park for a change because he notice that in their previous dates they are always eating outside and go for a walk only. It's kinda boring, that's why he tried to asked his companions in the house where he can take Chitoge on a date that they will enjoy. But before they answer his question, they answered him first questioning wondering who will be his date. Well yeah, when he asked them, he didn't mention Chitoge's name, but isn't it obvious for them that it is Chitoge? And when he told him it's with Chitoge, they suddenly act so weird. He's wondering what's with them; then that's when Ryu suggested the amusement park to him. He just put aside their weird actions and just thought that they're maybe not in their own self given that they are all drunk.

Then Chitoge and Raku ride the bus going to the amusement park. They let go of their hands while sitting beside each other. When they arrive it's already 3:15 in the afternoon. It's a good thing that they only have to ride for 45 minutes going there. Raku bought the ticket for them before they enter. The moment they enter, Chitoge already pulled him everywhere so that their time won't be wasted for them to enjoy themselves because they only have 5 hours to be there til the closing time.

The first ride they ride on is the carousel where Raku get so embarrassed because there are only kids riding it. Rather than sitting facing the people looking at them, he chooses to face Chitoge who looks having so much fun. She really looks enjoying herself that made him forget, even a little, the shyness he felt that is bounding back at him because of the people noting them. There are some that sounds like criticizing them but most of those people are praising them saying they look so sweet. And the fact that they are facing each other, with Raku's scarlet face and Chitoge's bright smile plus the no-more-letting-go of their holding hands, they really look chummy and cute together. And Raku is the first one who initiated for them to hold their hands again, because he notice that, when they enter the amusement park, there are a lots of people in there since it's weekend. He just suddenly remember the night of the festival where he is with Chitoge and there's also a lot of people, where she is the one who held his hand for them to not get separated but still ended up getting separated with her.

Raku look at their hands holding and swore to himself I'll make sure to not let go of your hands so you won't get lost and separated with me.

After their ride in the carousel they also tried some other rides insides. But because the rides they wanted to try having too long queue, they just decided to play at the arcade and got some prizes. When they get tired of playing they then decided to take a walk and then stop when they saw a huge horror house in front of them.

"You wanna go inside?" Chitoge asked Raku that is still looking at it.

"As if I can go when you are scared in dark places and ghost." Raku face her with his poker face.

"I'm not going with you, stupid. So if you really wanna go, I can wait for you here." Chitoge was about to let go of his hand but Raku suddenly tighten his grip to stop her then loosen it again.

"O-Oi beansprout, I-I've been noticing it for quite awhile now that y-you didn't w-want to l-let go of my h-hand, what's with you today?" Chitoge stuttered. She didn't expect Raku to stop her from letting go and the way he grip her hand, it felt like he wanted to say I won't let go of your hands and the way he loosen it felt like he is glad she didn't let his hand go.

"H-Huh? That's b-because… because there's maybe s-someone in my family w-watching us because they doubt our relationship again, r-right? Right!" Raku reasoned out even though he is not sure himself anymore if there's still someone watching them like before; Chitoge look around searching for someone suspicious or familiar faces. For almost doing their fake dates in 2 years and half they also slowly care less about the member of their family tailing them every time they are together. "Also I'm not going inside and leave you here, so let's just go somewhere else."

"Hmm… since you are holding me, let's just go inside so I can pay for making you wait for an hour earlier. And besides, it's not like you will let go of my hands now, right?" Chitoge said with a grin in her lips. Raku gulp feeling nervous again because of what Chitoge said. Of course he won't let go of her hand especially if they are really going inside, but she doesn't need to push herself to look strong and brave just to make him agree for them to go because he knows very well how scared she is in dark places.

"No need, and you don't have to push yourself. It's not like I badly wanted to go inside, so let's just go somewhere." Raku suggested and was about to pull her away from the horror house but she is now the one who stop him.

"But I wanted to go inside now. I wanted to experience, even for once, how it's feels to be inside the horror house." Chitoge reasoned out and immediately pulled Raku on the line going to the entrance.

While lining up in the queue Raku is arguing with Chitoge until they reach the door going inside the horror house. Since there's nothing Raku can do anymore when Chitoge pulled him again, he has no choice but to let her. At first there's not much scary thing that can see but they can hear screams from afar. Because of those screams Chitoge pull herself a little closer to Raku and hold onto his arms. And when those scary people and props shows right in front of Chitoge she almost scream at the top of her lungs because she got surprise and somewhat felt scared. She knows that those scary thing is not real and just a person who's wearing a costume, but seeing it right in front of her with that scary costume really surprised her. While on the other side, Raku felt like his arms was about to gets fracture because of how Chitoge is unyieldingly hugging it while pulling him running away from the props ghosts. They are almost running for about a minute but it seems like the horror house is too big for them to easily reach the exit. Because of getting exhausted by running and at the same time screaming, Chitoge stop for a while to take a breath.

"Are you okay? Guess not! I did tell you earlier we shouldn't go in anymore; now look at you, soaking in wet scaredy-cat." Raku preach and teas. Chitoge was about to act cocky in front of him when someone from behind her suddenly pulled her arm to turn her around to face whoever it is. The moment Chitoge saw the person who pulled her; a hysterical scream emerge of her mouth. The person who pulled her has a long hair and a face that is busted and full of blood. She almost felt like fainting any moment and immediately turn around and hug Raku. She also felt like crying because of the terrifying fact that the stuff in the horror house looks so fucking real thing. She can't believe she will overreact in everything.

"That's what you get for pushing yourself. You are almost crying in fear now." Raku sweat drop. He maybe preaching her – sounds like blaming her for her own action – but still, he is worried. She really is not that tough.

Raku give gesture to the person, in front of him, to go back wherever he is hiding. When it's gone from his sight he tried to calm down Chitoge that has really tears flowing in her eyes now while still hugging him. Having her hugging him makes him feel nervous that seeing those props ghosts scaring them. She's hugging her really tight as if she doesn't want to let go anymore, she is shaking a little too. Her face is buried in his chest, and he is hoping she's not paying attention at the heartbeat of his heart.

"Are you feeling okay now?" Raku asked when he felt that Chitoge calm down a bit. He looks down because she's still burying her face in his chest.

Chitoge already calm down and felt a little okay in view of the fact that they are still inside the horror house. She looks up at him and because Raku is still looking down at her, their face is now too close with each other. Their nose is actually touching each other. They both stiffened in their position. Both are waiting who will move away first. And Raku is the first one to realize he needs to move back. When he was about to move, a boy at his back walking backward, didn't see him and he bump to him that cause to finally met each other's lips.

"So…rry." The guy apologize that got tongue-tied when he saw what happened to the person he bump to.

Chitoge and Raku hurriedly parted when they heard the voice of the guy. They turn their backs and now Raku is facing the guy who bumps in to him. He gave him a death glare blaming him for what-not-suppose-to-happen-but-happened because of him, and the guy just respond by giving him a peace sign and mouthed sorry to him before running away from them.

Raku and Chitoge now are in an awkward silence. They felt like it's too silent for them even though it is impossible because they are still inside the horror house that full of screams. Facing each other's back, both simply place their index together with middle finger in their lips. Five seconds, their lips lock for 5 seconds. Now Raku really is getting scared at the thought that Chitoge might punch him hard because of what happened. But it's not like he did it on purpose… he is also a victim here. He didn't also want it to happen so there's no way that it's his fault. But what can he do to make the awkwardness building up with them to vanish?

Meanwhile, Chitoge's face is red as tomato and her mind is floating in somewhere. It's her first kiss for god's sake. And even though it's a good thing that it happens with the one she likes, she can't accept it. She won't accept that her first kiss is just a mere accident and happened without in own will. How she wish it happen in a romantic way and in a way that he will make her feels he loves her. Chitoge tched thinking as if that will happen. She sighs and removes her fingers touching her lips and tried to calm herself and get ready to act like nothing happened.

They turn around to face each other at the same time and both face turned red. Raku hurriedly look away. She knows he just felt awkward that's why he act that way, she is actually about to do it he just made it first. She also knows that Raku can't think a way to do something, so even she's still not comfortable, she initiate to hold him in his hand. She has no choice, she need to do it, or else she won't get a chance to get out in the horror house.

"L-Let's go I wanna go out here already." She said dragging Raku who didn't get a chance to react anymore when he felt her hand touching his.

Good thing, the exit is not that far anymore. When they got out of the horror house, their face is still red as tomato, Chitoge let go of his hand and he understand why she did it. Then Chitoge invited him to ear in the ramen stall since it's already 6 in the evening. They still have two hours to enjoy the amusement park.

The question is: can they still enjoy accompanying each other if they are too awkward to face and to talk with each other?
