False/True Love 12: To Her

Ah I'm so ashamed of myself for making Chitoge to always do something to wash away the awkwardness with us. Raku thought while following Chitoge who is now running going to where the Ferris wheel is. When they were eating in the ramen shop earlier, it was Chitoge who invited him after they finish eating. The eating session were they didn't look, even glance, and talk to each other not until they were done.

Raku and Chitoge were walking going to the ramen shop, and this time they are not holding each other's hand. Even though Raku wanted to, he can't do it, because just the thought of doing it make him feels like his heart is going to explode with too much heart beating. So the only thing he can do now is too look after her who is also not standing next to him. His face started to get red again the moment he remember their 5-seconds-accident-kiss. If he, the guy, is getting shy and don't know what to do about it, what more Chitoge who is the girl.

'If what I recall is right, she doesn't have a first kiss yet, that means…' The red flashed in Raku's face get even redden and he can't understand why he can't stop himself smiling like an idiot. It's weird that he is smiling at the thought that his first kiss is made him her first kiss also.

And that's problem. He shouldn't smile at the thought; because his first kiss is suppose to be reserved only for Onodera. But what can he do if he felt right now, that moment, is so right and magical.

"O-Oi beansprout we're here." Chitoge called him without looking at him. He scratches the back of his head and sweat drop. How long is she going to not look at me?

They enter the ramen shop and look for a vacant seat. Their seat is facing each other but it seems like the two persons sitting doesn't want to face each other and much prefers to just look down at the ground. Raku actually wanted to look at her and talk to her but before he can even utter a single word, his voice is already retreating out of getting too nervous and shy. Meanwhile, Chitoge is trying to pull together all her courage and do everything she can to act like nothing happened. Earlier, when they exit the horror house, she thought she can do it well but when she felt that her face is heating up and reddening her shyness exceed its limit to the point that she can't even look at Raku thinking that her face is showing all her emotions.

'I think I just have to eat lots so I can do it right later after we eat.' Chitoge thought that's why when their order gets served she immediately started eating her part and even order for a second round. Because of getting fully satisfied and glad of how much delicious the ramen, Chitoge look as if she forgot what occur prior – or maybe now that she is full she is also fully ready to act as if nothing occurred.

"Yaaaaaaay I'm so full." Chitoge abruptly said but with a bright smile again in her lips. Raku look up at her and almost glued his eyes when he saw her smiling again, and when Chitoge look his way he look down again, blushing, "Hmm…?"

Chitoge first wondered why he look down and when she realized why she thought, 'this beansprout is a hopeless.' Then she called him, "Raku…"

"O-O-Oh?" The only word went out from his lips and tried to face her but the moment he saw her smiling… at him, he looks away again. At least he tried to look.

"Before we go home, let's ride the Ferris wheel first, so if you're already finish eating, stand up already and let's get going." He finally able to looks at her when he saw her offering her hand for him to hold onto. Then he looks at her hand, didn't know if he should hold or not. And before he can even have his own answer, Chitoge already did what he can't do. She reaches his hand and leaves the ramen shop holding each other's hand. They just let go of their hands when Chitoge run in the direction of the Ferris wheel when getting closer to it.

While in the queue waiting for them to get in to the Ferris wheel, Raku and Chitoge are enjoying chatting. Raku really admired this part of Chitoge – the part where Chitoge can act there is nothing something occurred between them. How can she do it? It's making him feels like she's looking down on him. He felt like everything that happened to them, mostly the awkward one, it's not that big deal for her. Is she not seeing him as a man? What is she think about him then? What is running in her mind every time something like that happened in them? Yes he can see that her face is reddening too; but is because she is blushing or is it because she's angry? Don't they have the same feeling whenever something occur? How he wish he can ask her right here, right now. But no, he can't because somewhere in his heart he is not ready to hear her harsh answers. And sometimes her answer is too unreadable. He can't identify whether she mean it or not.

"Oi Raku stopped spacing out. We are getting in." Chitoge shouted to get his attention. It looks frequently his mind is way thinking too much about Chitoge only. What Chitoge felt? What he felt? What they are feeling?

"S-Sorry, I'm thinking something." Raku responded scratching the back of his head and walk approaching her but then stop at what she said, "You are thinking about it again."

Hearing it made Raku's face flashed in red and think Chitoge is probably talking about their 5-seconds-accident-kiss, "N-No I-I'm not."

"Whatever, just hopped on already." Chitoge quickly respond and gave him a look that is not interested.

Is what happened nothing to her? Or is it she's talking about something else? Raku thought when he saw how she looks at him.

He set it aside first and then hopped on in the cart before the stuff close the door. They are sitting facing each other; well Chitoge is actually standing and facing the glass looking outside while the Ferris wheel is slowly moving upward. Why it is everything for her now looks nothing to care about? He remembered the incident in the hot spring before. At least that time, before she acted like nothing happened, she confronts him first even though she looks angry. Why isn't she confronting her now about earlier incident? Maybe, tonight, today, he need to man up himself and the one who should confront her about it.

"C-Chitoge, a-about what h-happened e-e-e-er-er-er…" Even though he said so himself he wanted to talk about it he can bring himself to continue what he is about to say. No matter how he tried it's too awkward to talk about it.

"Let's just forget about it." Chitoge quickly respond sounding as if she already knows what he is talking about. And even though her back is facing him, he sure she is serious when she said it because of the tone of her voice.

"H-Huh? B-but…" Raku was cut off when she faces him smiling.

"Let's forget about it Raku. I know how sorry you are about what happened and I know it's an accident so let's not make it a big deal with both of us." Chitoge sat down still wearing her smile.

"E-Eh? B-But that was y-yo-yo-your f-f-first k-k-k-k-ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-kiss righ?" Raku manage to finish what he wanted to say hardly blushing. It's true that he is getting uneasy of their topic, but he also feel annoyed seeing her acting not bothered at all.

"Hmm… it's not like it's my first kiss. Didn't I say before that kissing in our country is a way of greeting? And it's not like you kiss me in a romantic way. So that's really not a big deal at all, like I already said it's just like our way of greeting people in our country." She tried to clearly explain to Raku still with her – annoying (for him) – smile. But she is glad that she made a good excuse because she doesn't want Raku to be troubled about it anymore because she knows that he is getting too worried about it – probably that was his first kiss too – but with the girl he doesn't like.

Raku didn't manage to respond on what Chitoge said. The second line she said stuck in his mind, it's not like I kiss her in a romantic way, he repeated in his mind. Raku really is stupid. It's probably not counted as her first kiss – because what he knows is – Chitoge doesn't like him in a romantic way and he also doesn't… like Chitoge? Why's in a tone of questioning it? Let him rephrase it, I don't… like Chitoge. Now he is hesitating. They don't have a romantic feelings and relationship, them being a couple is just a mere act. Dammit! Why does their country's way of greeting have to be kiss, anyway? Now he can't understand what Chitoge is really thinking about it.

If it's in a romantic way, will she get mad because the one who kissed her is not the one she likes?

And if she really only think about it as the same as greeting in her country, he should stop worrying himself about it now. But why can't he stop?

Because he is bothered at the confirmation that she is not taking what happened seriously. It's not bothering her. It's not a big deal for her. But for him it's a serious matter, it bothered him and its way too big, as hell, a deal for him.

Now he feels annoyed to her.

To her coming all the way to Japan that cause for him why they are in a fake relationship now.

To her being the reason why he almost lose his precious pendant.

To her being the very first girl he shouts at without holding back.

To her being the reason why he got more difficulties why he can't be with Onodera – as a man who likes her.

To her being the reason why he sometimes get self-conscious.

To her making he feels something strange towards her that he should not feel because he have Onodera.

To her that slowly is disordering what he thinks and what he felt.

To her making he feels he is not being seen as a man.

To her that makes him feel different mixed feelings.

Annoyed. Mad. Happy. Delighted. Contented. Worried. Ashamed. Awkward. And so forth…

And the feeling of having her next to him is too natural to be true.

When did it become natural to have her right next to me? When was it? Maybe that's when the Romeo and Juliet happened. She maybe said she loathed him but he knows she just said it to tease him. Knowing they didn't hate each other maybe made them more comfortable and also the fact that they've been always together for 2 years and half added it up. That time when he knew that she doesn't hate him, he didn't think of a reason why, but now…

From thinking deeply where he is sitting, Raku then stand up and approached Chitoge that is busy watching the different colors popping in the sky. The cart where they in are at the top now, and a fireworks show is going on and coloring the dark sky. Raku glance at Chitoge and asked himself, If I am right that you don't really hate, then that means you like me, then in what way?

"We reach the top at the right timing the firework show started, aren't we lucky Raku? Yay this is our best date ever." Because of enjoying the watching the fireworks Chitoge didn't think much about anymore to what she said to Raku that made him smile.

"I'm glad you enjoyed our date." Raku respond brushing away the thoughts running in his mind and just enjoyed the fireworks show beside Chitoge.

After their Ferris wheel ride ended, the fireworks are done too. At exactly 7:30pm in the evening they ride the bus going home. They are sitting besides each other chatting until Chitoge fell asleep and her head lean on Raku's shoulder. Then he remembered that something like this happen between her and Onodera, sleeping and leaning with each other on their way home, in the bus. He is not aware that time and they both got surprised to find themselves sleeping that way. Now that he is with that situation again, but with Chitoge, he doesn't feel anything but to smile looking at her sleeping face.

She really only looks a humble girl when she is sleeping. Raku continued smiling when he remembered their first date where he first saw her sleeping when they were watching a movie.

From her face he shift his eyes in her red ribbon that she always wear, the ribbon that her mother gave, and the reason why she's wearing that ribbon is because of him, of course he doesn't know that information, even Chitoge. She's one of a loving and a caring person that I know.

He touches the ribbon and then combs her hair using his fingers. He comb it and stop when he reach it's tip then lifted his hand, that holding the strands of her hair, before he smell and kiss it, and she smells so nice for a person who gets sweat.

To sum it up, the guy she will likes will be very lucky, likewise to the guy who will like her. She's really just not in luck for now since she still has to wait for 3 months and 7 days before our fake relationship will be officially ends. Raku now shifted his look in the front of the bus; hold Chitoge's hand then wakes her up because they are getting off already. He walk her home and then parted ways.

Before Chitoge already asked him about what will be his reaction once their fake relationship ended, will his answer that time will still be his answer now? He's not sure anymore if he will just be sad and miss her being around. And he's even not sure why and what is the reason why – it shouldn't – his feelings for her is… changing.

And whatever the reason why he is having this uncertainty in his mind and his feelings, he'll know it, soon – in the right time.

AN: Yay one more updates. What did you guys notice in the previous chapter and in this chapter? Oh and yeah I use the line that Raku thought in the last update of the manga, the thought when did it become natural to have her right next to me. I really love that thought of him. He's starting to wonder he's feelings towards Chitoge
