False/True Love 13: Their Plans

Last week of class before their Christmas break. Raku's circle of friends are complete: Onodera, Ruri, Shu, Tsugumi, Tachibana and on the hot seat is the famous couple of their class, Raku and Chitoge. It's Shu's fault that they are on the hot seat now because the moment they enter the room, Shu already pulled them in a sit beside each other and that's when their other friends gathered to surround them; while Tachibana started her drama and crying her heart out and complaining about why Raku cheated on her and dated the gorilla woman without her consent. Ignoring Tachibana's drama, Shu started frying Raku and Chitoge with random questions in their date last Saturday. He's curiously asking what happened and how's their date. But Raku didn't manage to answer any of Shu's questions, because the moment he bombarded him about their date, the only thing that flashed in his mind is their 5-seconds-accident-kiss. Honestly, how long is he going to look back at that scene like it just happened yesterday - more like an hour ago. And just by remembering it makes his heart throb in a weird way. And knowing Chitoge, there she is, telling to them what happened while insulting him without any good reason why she have to do the insulting-him part. But not because Chitoge is telling it doesn't mean she told everything. Of course she set aside the part that only playing in Raku's mind.

"Hmm you are insulting Raku-sama way too much again gorilla, if I know you really did enjoy that date that you almost didn't get to sleep after because it was my lovable Raku-sama that you are dating. And I'm sure he didn't enjoy it because he is with you who he doesn't really like to date with. If I were the one with Raku-sama that will absolutely make him happy and make him won't forget it by giving him something we will both enjoy." Tachibana said the last part in a seducing tone. She almost drooled and her eyes are sparkling in her own thoughts running in her mind. Raku and Onodera sweat drop while Chitoge's eyes twitch. The part that she said Raku didn't enjoy it because she was his date really hit her hard.

"Heh keep on dreaming Tachibana 'cause I'll bet Raku won't ever ask you on a date... willingly... not with you. And if ever you did go on a date with him, I'm sure you are the one who asked him, to top it all, forcefully. Also, if you think he had ever enjoyed it because he is with you, think twice, because he might probably just have no choice but to enjoy himself because of your dramatic acting skill and dragging him along." Chitoge smirked crossing her arms and irritably looking at Tachibana. She really is something else. Her showing of affection and being straightforward about it with Raku is annoying and making her boil in madness. She's too clingy too that she always have to look out for her because of doing something unsightly with Raku. And with all her friends - if she really consider her as one of them - she is the only one that Chitoge didn't get along well. Well, it can't be help if she continue being clingy to someone else boyfriend.

"You... trying to dare pissing me huh." Tachibana said gritted teeth while giving her a death glare that Chitoge is returning to her while they are gripping each others hand and pushing one another.

"Chitoge-chan, Tachibana-chan stop it and calm down, okay?" Onodera said stopping the two of them in a calm way. Onodera might look calm, but deep down she is not. She is uneasy. She wanted to walk away from them because of the envious she is feeling when listening to Chitoge's story about their date. She manage to act like she is enjoying herself listening to it and act glad that they had a great and enjoyable date - a date that she thought her date with Raku because that's what Ruri and Chitoge wanted. But Raku rejected it and chooses to have a date with Chitoge instead of her.

"Well, let's just ask Raku if he enjoyed it or not. So?" Shu shifted Chitoge and Tachibana's gaze to Raku. Chitoge intently gave him a look as if saying I'm-expecting-a-good-answer.

Raku gulp and averted his eyes from Chitoge, he scratches his cheeks lightly then answer, "Yeah... even though I'm with a gorilla, I enjoyed it... actually a lot," a smile formed in his lips, hearing his answer and seeing him smiling made Chitoge's heart skipped a beat, while Raku is unconsciously having a thoughts running in his mind when he gaze back at Chitoge, I enjoyed holding her hands, how she stick closely to me in the horror house, how she hug me tightly, seeing her warm, beautiful and bright smile... and the... kiss...

Raku snapped out of his thoughts because he felt that his face is starting to heat up and any moment will flushed in red. What the hell is he thinking? He felt getting insane of what he is currently feeling. He felt annoyingly happy about it. Maybe he really is getting insane. He might need to relax himself, especially his mind.

"Well that is given since you are with Ojou." Tsugumi commented when she also heard and saw how Raku smiled at Chitoge when he gaze back at her. She is smiling. A smile that looks like wanted to say something. It's a smile that somewhat looks like she is happy and at the same time regretting something.

"Tsugumi-chan is r-right, that's because C-Chitoge-chan is easy to g-get along w-with." Onodera added with her chest feels like sinking in the bottom of the sea. Why does Raku have to show that smile of him in front of everyone? Why does she have to see him just by looking at her can made him enjoy himself and smile happily? It's just confirming her something she doesn't want to believe. Because if asked her why he is acting that way, she can really tell she feels a loving emotions with his simple actions.

And because she can see and feel that something is changing about Raku, Onodera felt she have no chance at all now to confess her feelings towards him and to know what he feels about her. If ever she get a chance to hear from him what he felt, will she still wanted to hear it... even though there's a possibility that... she might get hurt. But she won't give up easily even that happens.

"That aside guys, what are your plans on Christmas break?" Ruri speak when she felt like the surroundings is getting awkward and silent. Seems like to her, everyone notice that smile of Raku. Of course it's a big deal, especially if everyone felt that there is something about that smile - how he smiled after he asnwered Shu's question truthfully. Being always in Onodera's side and her best friend, it's natural that Ruri is observing her and saw how she react about it. She's maybe not showing it, but she knows that Onodera is having a trouble in her mind.

"Raku-sama and I will be going on a date." Tachibana responded after having no reaction at all, too, when she saw how Raku smiled. It was such a warm, sincere and happy smile. Now she can't even utter a word to argue with Chitoge about their date. Hearing those from Raku and seeing his smile confirmed everything, and she admit, she lost this time. Even so, Tachibana didn't stop herself to cling on Raku and gave him a hug that Chitoge already counter by pulling her away from him.

"That's a no no Tachibana because Ojou and Ichijou Raku is the one who will be going on a date." Tsugumi reasoned out. The Tsugumi that always drawing her gun whenever she gets mad and always ready to shoot anyone in any moment, mostly with Shu and Tachibana, seemed also change. She is too calm even though she saw how Tachibana cling in Raku and how she kept quite when Chitoge and Tachibana are arguing a while ago. Is Raku just being paranoid, or something really change? In Chitoge and Tsugumi... and he doesn't know if its bad or not. But come to think of it, I think even I changed too... I'm changing to someone I don't know.

"G-guys lets celebrate the Christmas t-together, what do you think?" Onodera immediately suggested when she heard what Tsugumi said. Date again? How many times do they have to go on a date? But if I remember their fake relationship is about to end and I only have to wait for 3 months from now on.

Onodera shook her head when she get a bit happy at her thoughts. She can't help it. She gets excited at the thought that Raku will be getting freed from that fake relationship. Once that happened, she will do all her best to confess her feelings for him. She believes its not too late for that. And she wanted to believe that Raku doesn't like anyone, as for now. If there is someone, she wish to have him a second thought about it. As what they said be careful of what you wish for.

"I agree with Kosaki. But it much better if Ichijou and Kosaki can go on a date." Ruri teasingly said, fixed her eyeglasses and playfully gave Raku and Onodera a smile and a thumbs up.

"R-Ruri-chan."/"Oi Miyamoto." Raku and Onodera said in chorus. Onodera froze when she heard Raku's voice, it sounds like he wanted to reject the idea again. Why do I feel like he hates being with me now?

"And I agree with Ruri-chan since you haven't still properly thanked Kosaki-chan about the favor she did for tutoring you." Chitoge said and purposely slap his back... hard, here she goes again.

"Then what about you? What's your plan in Christmas?" Raku ignored her and Ruri forcing him to do the date. Ruri can't believe herself that she is being ignored - that the idea of dating Onodera is being ignored for the second time. What the hell's wrong with Raku? Doesn't he like Kosaki? Then why? Why is he acting like this?

"Huh? Eh... Well, your dad and my dad planned to celebrate the christmas eve together again at your house. Am I not allowed to join?" Chitoge grinned as if saying you-can't-argue-about-it.

"I actually expected it, since we've been spending it like that for the last two years." Raku responded and they unconsciously started chatting, reminiscing the past two years they've been together and have to celebrate occasions together with their family and the whole gang and yakuza.

Getting carried away and the fact that they are enjoying themselves chatting, they didn't noticed their friends watching them in awe. Tachibana look devastated and not happy about what is happening right in front of her eyes; Tsugumi is happy for Chitoge and then felt sad to see how deep their bond is even though most of the time they are arguing and fighting; Ruri is getting suspicious in their relationship. Are they still faking it or are their relationship a real deal now? Onodera's feeling jealous and envious is worsening. Is this how close they are? Too close that once they start their own conversation, a wall will start to built for them so no one can disturb them; that they can forget everyone around them because they are enjoying the company of each other. I didn't know this. I didn't know it's worse than I thought it would. If she can just avert his attention from Chitoge and have them all for herself, she will do it. But seeing them like this made it hard to do. And there is Shu that have a smile in his face while watching his best friend openly and happily enjoying chatting with Chitoge. A smile from Shu that gives a lot of meaning whether is he smiling because he is happy; teasing; or maybe thinking something only his mind knows.

And because it looks like no one's have the courage to break the wall building up between the chummy couple, Shu did it and speak, "You two really are chummy, you know that? Can't you two at least invite us to join your conversation?"

Hearing Shu said it made Raku and Chitoge stop for a moment and then awkwardly look at their friends. To lessen the awkwardness, Raku already asked them, "S-So guy what's o-our plan?"

"L-Let's do the p-party... in... uhm... right! In our house, right T-Tsugumi?" Chitoge turn her gaze to Tsugumi giving her a look to agree with her. Shu can't help himself to laugh at their antics, this two is oblivious, really.

"Then it's decided, on 24th afternoon, let's meet in front of Chitoge's house." Everyone just give them a nod as agreement.

After they finish talking about what to do and needed in their Christmas party, everyone part ways to do first what they needed and what they have to do since they are still in school. Ruri decided to go back and sit at her seat to read a book while Shu chooses to pester her. Tachibana is gone and no one knows where she gone to. And Tsugumi is with Chitoge to accompany her to go to the vending machine, in the end of the hallway, to buy drinks. But before exiting the room Chitoge took a last glance at Raku and Onodera that is talking about something. She smiled before exiting the room.

"Are you really sure you want to do that?"

"I'm sure. Absolutely!"
