I'm sorry if I fail you guys, I just really wanted to post one for all of you as my gift and thanks for appreciating this fanfic （ｖ＾＿＾）ｖ. But still, I hope you will enjoy reading this. False/True Love 14: Christmas Gifts

Dec. 24, exactly 8 am in the morning. Onodera and Raku are walking downtown together early in the morning. And the reason why they are together is because that's what they were talking at the previous chapter. Raku asked Onodera that time if she already bought some gifts, and when Onodera said she doesn't yet, they decided to go to the district look for a gift together. Onodera is glad they got a chance to talk that time because it wash away all her worries about him not wanting to be accompanied by her anymore.

"Onodera." Raku called her when everyone leaves. He can talk to her since she's sitting next to him.

"W-What is it?" Onodera responds, a little nervous because she felt like it's awhile since they talk to each other.

"I just wanna ask if you already bought gifts for everyone." Raku rest his chin in his palm facing Onodera.

"Not yet. I think I'll just buy on 24th since I already have my list what to buy." Onodera answered with a smile in her lips.

"If it's okay, can I go with you? I didn't buy anything yet too." Raku almost stare at Onoder for a minute when he realize as if it is the first time he talk with Onodera normally, meaning without thinking about his feelings for her or whatever. It also made him felt like he's not getting excited over her anymore and no more getting nervous around her. At the worst part is... the person running in his mind while talking to Onodera is Chitoge. And just by the mere utterance of her name, Chitoge, made his heart skipped a beat and get excited over nothing. What craziness really is happening to him? It's just her name.

"Y-Yeah it's fine. B-But are y-you really okay being w-with m-me?" Onodera shyly asked and felt like she almost use all her courage just to ask him because she's worried that he's somewhat distancing himself to her.

"Huh? Of course it's fine. Why would ask something like that all of a sudden?" Raku asked confuse and tried to focus with their conversation because he somehow felt like his mind is wondering off again to Chitoge.

"I just thought you might not be comfortable, especially that Ruri-chan and Chitoge-chan is forcing you something earlier." Since they are already talking about it, Onodera wanted to know what Raku think about what Ruri and Chitoge are doing.

"Oh that? Doesn't have worry I won't be force that easily, and if they even try harder I won't still agree." Raku nonchalantly answered as if that is the most reasonable answer he has. Hearing Raku's answered made Onodera's mind go blank and felt like her heart got a thousands of stabs.

"Is it b-because y-you are not c-comfortable and doesn't w-want to be with m-me?" Onodera stuttered and felt like crying. It hurts her feelings. It's as if he's trying to say is there's no chance he will go with her. Even if they try. No matter what. He won't agree.

Because of what Onodera asked, Raku realized what he said to her. What the hell does he think he said to her? It's as if he doesn't like Onodera anymore. That he is not fantasizing, the girl he likes since middle school, to be his girlfriend anymore. But why is that? How? There's only one reason he can think of. This time Raku really is sure that there's something wrong of what he is feeling now. Even though he doesn't want to admit it, but the only reason why something wrong is going on his feelings is because of Chitoge... of what he is starting to feel about her... the feeling he doesn't know what it is... where it come... how and when it started. What if he's just getting confuse but he still like Onodera. Than can be happen, right?

"T-That's not what I-I mean O-Onodera. What I mean is something like date shouldn't be force to someone, especially if the two people they are forcing is not agreeing about it. Isn't it much better to be ask if you want to or not?" Raku tried to reason out and awkwardly having a small laugh. He can't believe he said something that can offend her as his answer. Because frankly speaking, if he's still the same as before, he should be very happy being with Onodera. How many times do he have to remind himself about this? Something has already really changed now... and he doesn't know if he can still go back to what he is before.

"T-Thank goodness. I-I really thought y-you are just not c-comfortable and doesn't want to be with me just like before." At least even a little Onodera felt at ease and thought she's just maybe thinking too much recently. And knowing that Raku is not rejecting Ruri and Chitoge's idea of dating her higher her hopes up that she still have a chance.

"I'm if I made you think it that way Onodera." Raku apologizes. It's just it never occur in his mind that Onodera will think it that way and will get offended. He really sometimes is not thinking what the person he is talking or facing will feel before he talk. That's why he is getting misunderstood by them.

"It's okay Ichijou-kun, no need to apologize, I understand. What you said is right, that forcing people to do something they don't want is not that great because it will be much greater if they do it wholeheartedly." Onodera gave him her genuine smile and doesn't look like disappointed anymore.

"So in 24th I'll pick you in your house at 8am, is that alright?" Raku asked her and smile back. It's good thing that Onodera is such an understanding person.

"Uhm..." Onodera nodded as her answer.

And now here they are in a botique, looking for something they can buy for a present. Onodera is actually done buying what was on her list. Raku also bought some without Onodera knowing it. And here she is enjoying herself watching Raku carefully checking the items in the botique. Her smile that cheerful as always is slowly fading. Seeing what Raku is searching for, she is sure that he is looking for a present for Chitoge. A datethat's what Onodera assumed when he said he will pick her up at her house. But seeing he is acting like this made her feel jealous with Chitoge, again. He just simply searching for a present for Chitoge but he is enjoying it too much especially everytime there is an item catching his eyes, wheter it's bad or good, he always shows it to her and will say, this fit Chitoge don't you think?Then he will laugh while imagining funny things about her.

"Do you like Chitoge-chan, Ichijou-kun?" Onodera blurted without stuttering and pausing. Maybe because of feelinh jealous and envious she didn't manage to control herself to ask him about it. When she notice that Raku gets uneasy at the sudden question she tried to laugh at it awkwardly and told him its okay if he doesn't want to answer her question. But somehow, Raku felt like wanting to tell her. He wanted her to know what he felt.

"Well, let's just say I don't hate her but I also don't like her." A small red color flushed in Raku's face when he ended his answer. He then turn her back at Onoder and walk to the counter to pay the item he is buying.

While watching Raku's back going away, Onodera asked herself, if you don't hate her and you don't like her, does it mean you love her? Did I lose already?Onodera touches her right chest as if trying to feel how the heartbeat of her heart is. And then a small drop of one tear fall down from her eyes that she swipe away in flash when Raku look back and called her.

"Onodera let's go, we have to go Chitoge's house now." Raku invited after he done paying.

Onodera run towards him and thought, I didn't lose yet, I still have a chance as long as there is no assurance of what he felt.

When Raku and Onodera arrive at Chitoge's mansion, they didn't expect to see that everyone is already present and that they are the only two missing. That's when Ruri, Shu and Chitoge showed up to teased them. Ruri is praising Onodera of how great what she did - if she just only knew what she was feeling earlier when she was with Raku, she bet Ruri won't congratulate her about it. Knowing Ruri, she might bad-mouth Raku now for ignoring Onodera there at the moment they are together. Then there's Tachibana that can't believe she's not the one with her beloved Raku-sama early in the morning, or so she thought a date, again. If she is with Raku, she shouldn't be wondering now what his present for her and for the gorilla. And then the two person that is annoying Raku by telling he is such a liar, telling he doesn't want to date Onodera when he actually really want. Only Tsugumi is busy arranging the table and foods with some maids in the house.

"Will you two stop already? Oi Chitoge stop teasing me that like I'm not your boyfriend and sound as if I like Onodera." Raku really feel annoyed. He feels irritated because he felt like Chitoge is really pushing him away to Onodera. He already understand that what he is reacting is not right, because what he should act is be happy about it. But can he do if he feels agitated in her actions? He really doesn't like Chitoge being like this. She is being too pushy to the point that it makes him felt like she really wanted him away from her life.

Chitoge got shocked of what he said. He said it boldly in front of everyone. And Chitoge knows that Onodera might be feeling hurt now because of what the stupid beansprout saud. She knows the feeling of knowing someone doesn't like you. Even though Raku didn't directly tell that he doesn't like Onodera, what he said still pointing there, but that's impossible...

"What are you talking about as if you like Onodera when you actually really like her?" Shu whispered in his ear. He lost it. Raku violently mess his hair in frustration then threw a long sigh when he saw Chitoge's shocked face expression but laughed in instant and tease him about calling himself her boyfriend as if it's a real thing and he mean it.

"You know what; let's just start this party, because we still have to be at our family Christmas celebration later, right Honey?"Raku emphasized the word 'honey' and it can be heard in his voice that he is really irritated.

"Yeah! Yeah sure. Now stop sulking, Darling." Chitoge is still laughing at him. She really do enjoy teasing him and sering him like this.

And so their party started. They first eat the foods that Tsugumi serve for them. There are many foods served in the table, some are homemade and some are the foods they brought. After finishing eating, they decided to sing in the karaoke that Chitoge readied for them to use for entertainment. When they got exhausted from singin, they then eat the cake for their desert. After eating the cake, they started exchanging their gifts. Ruri give everyone a keychain that have their faces that she personalized. She gave them cellphone straps that have their surname and first name initials. Tsugumi gave them different gifts, and Chitoge receive a simple yet princess-like blue dress that matches her eyes. As for Tachibana she gave them a bracelet that has their name on it. And then Onidera gave them also different types of present and Raku receive a black and white polo shirt from her.

Now it's Chitoge and Raku's turn to give their presents at the same time. And what is the reason why they are doing it at the same time, it's because insisted that they have to give their presents to each other just to have a romantic scene. So they gave to them their different kinds of gift also. After handing it to their friends they approach each ither and without warning Chitoge put something on Raku's neck and said, "That's my present for you, sorry if it's not that good, I made it."

Raku touches the scraf that Chitoge put on him and smile, "You gave it in a right time, I forgot to wear a scarf. Here is mine."

Raku loosen the tie of Chitoge's ribbon and pull it away that cause for her hair to fall down and then he put something in her head. Chitoge touches it and tried to identify what it is, she was about to take it on her head to check it, but before she can even move her hand she already saw her reflection on Raku's cellphone screen. The thing that is in her head is a haloband that has many flowers in it that made it looks like a crown. Chitoge likes it because the flower that used in the haloband is the the same of the flower that Raku gave him before as a birthday present. Anyway it's not a real flower so it won't wither.

"Why did you buy something like this as your present for me?" Chitoge asked while happily smiling at him.

"Huh? It's because when I saw it i just thought it will look good in you."Raku look away but averted his peripheral vision in Chitoge and blushingly having thoughts, and it really fits her... yeah dammit... she really is beautiful.But no way in hell he will tell her that.

"And here's more." Raku remembered and handed her a box that has ribbon with different colors. He also handed her back the ribbon that he take in her hair.

"Wow! Thanks! I like it. Oh by the way, that scarf is only a 1st part of my present, there's one bigger than that later." Chitoge is smiling beautifully to him that makes him blush harder. She's still wearing the haloband that he gave and seeing her smile with that look made her like a goddess. She's beautiful.

Oh god I think there something wrong with my eyes too, also.Raku sweat drop at his own reaction.

"I knew it. Giving your present with each other is so~ chummy." Shu teased when Raku didn't speak anymore and Chitoge is laughing at him.

Their party ended well even though there is mixed emotions surrounding each every one of them, especially in Onodera, Raku and Chitoge's part. Even so, they really enjoyed spending their christmas with everyone.

AN:Oh yeah, just like Chitoge said this is only the 1st part of her gift, so I'll try to write the next chapter later and post it tomorrow :))
