Nope don't own HP or Marvel

"And." Tony pants as I feel my skin flaying. "We are the Avengers."

A bright light blinds me, and I feel as if I'm dying.

Then it all goes black.

Get up Granger.

You aren't done yet.

I bolt upright with a gasp and my eyes fall on Tony's unconscious form.

"Glacias!" My iced hand runs up and down his arm. "Friday, diagnostics."

"Cardiovascular systems functioning at thirty percent with third degree burns covering forty-five perfect of his left side. Melted shrapnel-"

"Okay, I've got it. I think. Evanesco." The spell dissolves his suit when I touch his arm, un-smelting from his skin and revealing the true extent of damage but, it left open wounds where the metal had fused to his skin.

I can fix that using Snape's counter to Sectumsempra. I've just got to-

"Mia. Your arm."

We have to keep him asleep while the burn potions do their job. I'm worried about his heart.

I open my bag and accio the case of potions I had stored, pulling out the several creams and bottles I had made for times like these.

"She's not responding to-"

Okay, this is a start. Banner said something about gamma radiation. I remember reading that muggle invented a radiation sickness pill but, it won't be strong enough. Ginny should be able to figure a way to amplify its properties.

I feel a pair of arms pull me away and I panic.

"Let me go, he needs healing! He needs-"

"So do you." James gravelly voice says in my ear. "Ginny will help him."

For the first time since waking up, I look around the empty field.

"W-We did it?" I whisper; relief seeping into my body.

"Yes, you did." James releases his firm grip and walks around to face me, trying to look calm but failing miserably.

"Harry. Where's Harry?" The look on his face fills me with dread and I can feel myself begin to breathe heavily.

"If you're talking about the boy who was with you, he's fine. You need to sit down, Mina. Take a deep breath."

"No. No I can't help with Stark. I need-"

"You need to be taken to a hospital Hermione." Steve's voice causes me to jolt and James sits me down gently.

I shake my head and freeze.

"Move your right arm for me then."

My body begins to shake when I look at my arm; burned almost as badly as Stark's. I try to move it and pain lashes through me as tears comes to my eyes.

"I can't. James I can't move my arm. Why can't I move my arm?"

"Hermione dear, I need you to stay calm." Molly Weasley's warm voice washed over me like a warm rain and I welcome the numbness that takes away the burning as a cluster of redheads surrounds us.

"Merlin mum, her arm!"

"Fuck off Ronald!" I bark, causing a dull ache. James pushes a piece of hair off of my forehead before kissing it lightly and I close my eyes until I feel Ginny's magic wrapping my arm.

"I'm not even going to ask how you're alive." She grumbles towards James and I let out a laugh despite myself. "Stay still. Damn it Mia, must you be such a self-sacrificing idiot? How did you know Stark would grab the stones?"

"It's what I would have done." She glares at me, murmuring under her breath and I feel my world go black.

Kiss me once, then kiss me twice, then kiss me once again. It's been a long, long time.

Haven't felt like this my dear, since can't remember when. It's been a long, long time.

The music slowly wakes me from my slumber, and for a moment, the familiar song makes me think I'm dreaming. Memories of James holding me close as we rocked to the slow tempo that night in the dance hall played in my mind like a film as I open my eyes, squinting against the harsh whiteness of the room.

The events of the fight rush to my mind and my eyes fly to my splinted arm as I try to move my fingers, gasping in relief when they respond. The burns were almost healed as well.

I hope that Tony and Harry are healing well.

"Mina?" James groggy voice calls to me and I feel a warm hand grasps my other tightly. I meet his blue eyes with a relieved smile.

It was done. We won.

"Good morning." I whisper after staring at each other for what felt like years. "How long was I asleep?"

"Two days. Do you remember this song?" He asks, running his thumb along the back of my hand, reminding me that he was real.

"How could I forget? Some guy bumped into me and you tried fighting him." I relish the low chuckle that rumbles from his chest, pulling a light snicker from me. I notice a second cot in the corner of the room with rumpled blankets and pillows. "Did you stay here the whole time?"

He nods and I sit up, despite the dull aching of my muscles.

"A whole forty-eight hours? That's a new record for us." I breath out, giddy and nervous about what this meant.

"We have a lot of time to make up for." He smiles as a metal hand pushes hair behind my ear.

"Bucky do you wan-" Ginny freezes in the doorway, brown eyes wide in shock before yelling down the hall, pulling a bemused Steve Rogers behind her. "Guys she's awake!"

Then, she's on me, arms wrapped tightly around my neck, dangerously close to strangling me.

"Can't breathe Gin!" She let's go of me with a gasp at my words and my small room get filled with people. Natasha smiled at me brightly next to Bruce, who had barely managed to squeeze through the door, and Rhodes holding flowers.

They all looked bruised but, okay. A streak of rainbow hair flies around the corner.

"Auntie Mione!" I laugh as Teddy climbs onto my bed with a toothy grin. "It was so weird! I was playing with my dinosaurs when my fingers went all whoosh and then I was back. I thought I fell asleep until dad found me and started crying. Who's the guy with the metal arm? Why is one of your friends green? Did you really go to space?"

"Take a breath Teddy." Harry chuckles with a warm smile. "I'm sure Mia will tell you all about it another time."

I kiss the top of Teddy's head and give him a quick wink as Harry takes him to the vending machines. I was relieved to see his arm not in a splint as mine was. Not that I would ever admit it; I was kind of banking on Harry's The Boy Who Lived niche to keeps us all alive during the gauntlet.

Which reminds me.

"How's Tony?" The crowd splits as a wheelchair bound super genius rolls his way into the room with a smirk.

"Alive. Burnt like a chicken nugget but, alive." I can't stop the roll of my eyes at his sarcasm but, it settles my mind to see that he was breathing and that, eventually, he'd be okay.

"Why do I have a feeling you aren't supposed to be out of your room yet?"

"Because you'd be correct. Better get back before the missus actually kills me. For the record, this music will not be playing at my party." He wags a finger. "Bunch of buzzkills."

I scoff, vividly remembering his kind of music before turning towards James.

"Wait, what does he mean party?"

"He can't even dance yet! Why is he having a party?" I huff, running my hands down my dress, flattening out nonexistent wrinkles. It had only been two weeks since killing Thanos and the world was beginning to readjust. Families were whole again, people were happy.

I was happy.

James and I had spent the past weeks making up for lost time and it had been incredible. He was incredible. He was still the same handsome, charming, flirt from that night and the thought of him still gave me butterflies. The night after I woke up, we had laid everything on the table; everything we had done, what we had been through, what we wanted. We accepted each other and, since that night, things had been perfect.

My eyes catch Ginny's in the mirror, and I turn to face her and Natasha; each of them wearing a dark red dress. She had insisted on all of us getting ready together at James and I's new flat.

"Did I miss a memo or something?" I ask in shock as Nebula walks in, wearing a similar dress, followed closely by Luna.

"Luna? What are you doing here? I thought you were home with the twins. What's going on?" Nerve tighten in my stomach as Mrs. Weasley strides in, dress bag in hand.

"Well, she couldn't miss your wedding." Molly grins, unzipping the bag whilst I sputter.

"M-my what?!"

"You must hurry dear; the guests are arriving." She tuts, pulling out a beautiful dress and handing it it to me before shoving me behind the changing screen.

I stand in the dim light and stare at the gown in my hands.

"Mia! Mum wasn't kidding. You need to get dressed." Ginny yells from the other side of the screen, spurring me into action and I numbly take off the dress I was wearing, letting it fall to the floor, before slipping my wedding dress over my head.

My wedding dress.

The words sounded so foreign even in my mind. I knew that when I put that ring on it would mean getting married but, it had always seemed like a far away concept.

Though, stepping out from behind the curtain and hearing the shocked gasps of my bridesmaids, I couldn't feel anything but giddiness.

"Come look at how beautiful you are!" Luna gushes, pulling me to the mirror and I can't believe my eyes. The dress was gorgeous; made from intricate graphic lace, this fitted gown features a plunging v-neckline and dramatic train. The cascading flutter sleeves transform into a lovely cape detail to frame the open back.

"That's not me." I mumble with wide eyes, turning from side to side in disbelief.

"Oh yes, it is. Let's go, we can't let you be late to your own wedding. I don't think ice cube's heart would be able to take it." Natasha grins playfully while pulling me out of the room as Ginny's familiar magic twists my hair up.

"I don't have my shoes!"

"I've got them." Nebula says with a stiff smile. I knew she was happy for me, we had talked a lot since the fight, she just had trouble showing it. "I was told to say they are your something new."

"You're a lifesaver Neb." I thank as we're shuffled out of my flat and into a waiting car, that was suspiciously bigger on the inside, and slip the heels on. "Where are we going?"

"Cedar Lakes estate. Tony bought it for the night; said to consider it his thank you for saving my life present." Natasha smiles warmly as she pins a pearl comb into my hair. "There's your something borrowed."

"He did what?! My what?"

"I think this is the most confused she's ever been. It's adorable." Luna sighs in her dreamy way and it makes my face heat in embarrassment. "What's her something blue?"

Ginny raises her hand and I let out a miffed gasp when I feel my underclothes change to something that pinches and I have to stop myself from hexing her.

"Gin that was horribly invasive!" I growl.

"You'll thank me later." She shrugs

"Stop bickering, we're here!" Molly turns to me and smiles. "Are you ready?"

I feel my heart stop beating as the car door opens, revealing a well-dressed Harry, and I freeze one my feet hit the ground.

"Shit, I can-"

"Don't you even think about saying you can't do this." Harry chides, offering me his arm. "You deserve this more than anyone I know."

The walk to the lake was a blur until Harry pulls on my arm, hiding us both behind a pillar.

"Take a deep breath Hermione. I wanted to ask if you want me to walk you down. I figured that, since your parents can't be here that-"

"Yes. I wouldn't have it any other way." I breath, pulling him into a tight hug.

"Are you Hermio-niny?" A small girl with brown hair asks, while tugging on my skirt and holding a bouquet of flowers almost as big as her. "I'm your flower girl. My name's Morgan."

She reminded me so much of her father that I can't help but smile brightly as I take the flowers from her.

"You're the loveliest flower girl I've ever seen." I thank and take a deep breath as Harry told me to as wedding march begins playing.

"Is this Moonlight Sonata?" I ask even though I know the answer.

"Yeah, heard it was all the rage in the 1940s." Harry smirks knowingly. At first he had been confused when I finally told him about what Ginny and I were but, he had taken it well, much better than Ronald had.

"Mia, you're up next!" Ginny says before the begins her walk.

"Merlin, this is really happening." I mutter and Harry lets out a laugh at my expense as he leads me around the corner, and I feel hundreds of eyes on me.

Yet, as cliché as it sounds, all I can see is James in a smart suit and cut hair, looking at me in nervous shock until Steve elbows him gently. It's not until Harry hands me off with a kiss on my cheek that I notice Rhodey and Hagrid, standing side by side, even then, I can't bring myself to focus on them.

"You're an asshole for keeping this from me, you know?" I whisper to James when he takes my hand.

"I figured, with our luck, the sooner the better." He answers against my fingers before facing our two officiants. I take a long look around me; the beautiful lake behind us, the happy faces of the people I love and finally, the man that I loved and quite literally fought to be with and finally, look towards Hagrid and Rhodes.

We finally had all the time in the world.
