AN: Yay! Another update and yet it took me weeks updating this fic. Thank god I manage to finish it before the valentines end though I only have 3 minutes before it ends XD. I'm really sorry I'm just really busy. I'm not as free as before. Anyways, I'm really happy that I'm still getting reviews and there still actually reading this fic even though its been a really long time since I stop writing. Chapter 26: Missed It

"Oy stop banging already, they won't open it anyway." Raku said seemingly tired for telling her to stop for the nth time already.

And being stubborn as she already is, Chitoge didn't listen to him at all. She didn't stop at all, not even a single, banging frantically with face like a girl trapped in a superb haunted house she doesn't want to be in though for her being trapped inside a room with only Raku and her is far more scarier than that because being with him means only one thing: and that is for her to confess herself. Unfortunately, she knows that she won't be able to escape anymore even if she try everything to escape from reality itself. Nonethless a part of her wants to finish the issue and confess everything once and for all.

Seeing that Chitoge won't move an inch to the door, Raku decided to step forward to approached her. However, the moment Chitoge heard a foot step, that's when she stopped banging the door. And that sudden stop confused everyone outside and start wondering what's happening inside now.

And so, as Chitoge stopped the banging she looked back at Raku with an eyes like she really was scared. She step to the right side and run to the other door and said, "Don't come any closer."

Raku sweat drop, he feels exhausted for some reason although they didn't start any conversation yet. With her acting that way, he sarcastically asked her, "Do I have some contagious illness or something now?"

Raku sighed and without wavering he continued to walk towards where Chitoge is even though she kept on distancing herself. Realizing this won't make any progress for them, Raku decided to stop approaching her and accept the fact that he have no choice but to talk to her in distance. Yeah. In distance. Since Chitoge was already back to where she was standing earlier while Raku stopped near the window.

"Okay I won't come any closer but at least let's talk, okay." Raku said as he raised both of his arms in defeat.

Hearing those words from Raku calmed Chitoge a little. Yes it calmed her because she still doesn't know how her body will react if he touches her. At least he won't come any close. Okay I'll talk. Chitoge thought still holding onto the doorknob just in case he move to get close to her. She simply took glimpsed to Raku and seeing him in defeat made her lips form a small smile. He really never win against her stubborness. Yet she certainly know that when it comes to his determination she will also never win against him. Although she is not hundred percent ready to face what in front of her, she is now willing to cooperate and take risk in this situation since she doesn't want to get one more slapped from Onodera, and because of the fact that she can't get out of the room because of her classmates. Remembering that scene made Chitoge lauged and that caught Raku's attention. She can't still believe that she will experience something like that from a very timid, kind, and soft person. And that really made her wake from her stupid action. She has been only doing whatever she thinks she thought would be good for them. But thanks to Onodera she realized that what she has been doing was only for herself. I really am selfish. And realizing that drag her now in this situation with the beansprout who was about to ask her what's going on with her but didn't manage to when she shifted her gaze to him with her annoyed look.

"What do you wanna talk about anyway?" She still asked even though she already knew what's this all about. It feels like it's been a long time since the last time she talk to him and somehow she missed it. Well anyway, she wanted to make a question first but because she can't think of anything to ask, she just blurted that question out of her lips.

"US. We are going to talk and clarify everything about the two of US. Both of our feelings, that is." Raku emphasized making Chitoge's brow raised in disbelief that the beansprout is getting really serious in the first question. She gave him a hmm and nodded a little as if she is not satisfied from his answer.

"US you say?" This time Chitoge is properly facing Raku though with her arms crossed in her chest. She has the vibes like she is acting like her usual self and that made him happy. At least she looks like won't run away anymore. Raku thought and gave her a nod as his respond to her question.

"Before anything else and let you talk, don't you think you forgot something else to tell to me first?" She questioned as if giving him a hint that there was other matter that they didn't clarified yet. The question stopped Raku for a moment and unconciously start thinking what she is talking about but can't seem to remember what it is. Seeing him acting like he really doesn't have any idea annoyed Chitoge but tried to control herself and just tched then asked, "Did you really forgot something else? Isn't that important to you?"

And without any hesitation Raku answered, "Other than thinking about how to make you believe that I like you, I don't think there is something else important than that."

It's not like Raku doesn't feel embarassed and uneasy to say he likes her. Its more like he feels much more confident to tell it to her now because he's been doing it a lot lately and its because it was really his only reason why he can't think of anything else other than that. And hearing those words from Raku made Chitoge blush thus seeing her showing that kind of face made Raku really happy. Just by looking at her made Raku hopeful. He feel positive. He feels like this time he won't fail anymore and everything will work out. And he is actually getting hyped at the thought that finally he will be able to hear her say the words he's been longing for.

"Will you stop saying embarassing things? You are making me want to get away in this room right now." Chitoge said sounded like threatening him with her palm covering her face a little. With that little action, Raku knew that she is only acting that way because she is literally embarassed with him. So he just smiled at her with a look like saying why does he have to stop? Saying he likes her 'til she accept his feelings is his main goal after all, so he won't stop. Never.

"Okay!" Raku shrugged and added, "Let's hear what you wanna say first." Raku said acting like a gentleman but Chitoge just ignored it because she felt like being teased by the beansprout and that is making her getting more annoyed. How dare he to annoy me? Did he just forgot that he need something from me? Chitoge smirked on her thought. Whether he is doing it on purposed or not doesn't matter anymore to Chitoge because there is something more that she badly wanted to know from him and that is to asked who the hell told him about her reason why and how everything happened.

It's one of those guys. It's either our father or the right hand of our father. She was absolutely sure that it's not her mother Hana because she's been with her this past few days and seemed like consoling her. Chitoge unconciously gritted her teeth with her own thought. Once she found out who told him, she really is going to make him pay for what he done. And once she knew who told him then she will willingly listen to everything Raku will say and what's more, even though she know it will be hard to get it out from her chest, she will tell him what he wanted to hear from her.

"So what do you wanna clarify?" Raku eagerly asked and broke her thought and so she fixed herself and look at him straight.

"Who the hell told you about my reason?" Just by asking it really made Chitoge angry, she even clenched her fist. She can't still believe that one of those guys betrayed her and stab her behind her back. If it's his father she is going to ask her mom to punish him, for sure her mom will make him suffer. If it's Raku's father she will ask her father to do something about it, though it may cause another war from the member of both family. If it's Ryuu she will ask Raku's father to do the punishment, though Chitoge believe that it can't be him even though he is too noisy and nosy too. And if it's Claude, she will never ever going to talk to him anymore, and she will also going to ask her father to never let him stay too close to her. And that punishment for Cluade is something like she really planned. She doesn't know why but she have a feeling that that four eyes did a really epic decision.

And with that question Raku remembered the person who helped him to find out the truth. Without his help he won't be able to know what's been happening to him and to his feelings. Without his help he won't be able to understand even a tiny bit why Chitoge decided on her own. Thanks to that man yet he feels sorry for him now. He doesn't want to make him the bad guy to Chitoge's eyes but he has no choice but to answer her truthfully. Then a flashback that time, when he was still looking for answers, flashed in his mind.

During the time that Raku was looking for answers to all his question, someone who doesn't cross in his mind even once, came out of nowhere to help him. It was around the time he was about to give up asking inasmuch he thought he already asked everyone who might know the reason behind Chitoge. Fortunately, before he can even do so, that someone came.

It was after school when a black van suddenly stopped in front of the entrance gate of their school, and at the moment Raku came, then abducted him. Realizing that he was being abducted, Raku panicked for a moment before he realize that the men inside were all familiar to him. He asked them what's the deal but everyone remained silent for a couple of minutes until someone speak.

"I heard you've been going around asking everyone why Ojou made that decision last Christmas." He stated. It took minutes before Raku felt like that that voice sounds really familar. And when he finally realized who owns that voice his jaw drops with eyes wide as he was really schocked to the extent. It really schock him and wonder why it felt like he will be the one to give the answer he's been looking for.

"F-Four eyes?" He uttered in disbelief though that person didn't even bother to gave him a single look and only remained sitting just in front of him. Raku didn't actually thought he was one of them inasmuch as he wasn't able to recognize him because he was wearing a hoody.

Ignoring how Raku called him, Claude asked him in serious tone, "What is your intention by asking the reason behind it? Do you even have an acceptable reason for me to give the answer that you've been wanting to hear?"

Raku gulp at the question. He's still not sure about why he was desperately asking everyone around him but he answered him anyway, "I'm not so sure myself but may be it's because what everyone thinks is the truth - that my feelings for her has already change."

"What do you mean?" Claude asked seemingly didn't actually get what he was talking about.

"I mean to say that everyone's been saying that I'm doing everything of this because I like Chitoge. I don't believe it myself at first but as time passed by seeing her acting like nothing happened irritated me. Knowing that we are nothing more than a friend hurts my feelings. I can't explain it myself but I like it better when I am the most closest guy with her; I like it better whenever we fight; I like it better whenever she gets annoyed because of me. A lot of things change because of what she did. Then I started to feel like I'm nothing without her and that made me realize how I missed being with her," Raku paused for a moment as a smile started to form in his lips as he reminiscing every moment he had with Chitoge, then he continued, "And I really missed those moments and made me feel like I want to be with her all the time just like before when we were only acting. Oh but let me rephrase it cause this time I feel more like I want to be with her but not an act anymore."

Raku ended without realizing that he said too much but that too much actually touch everyone inside the van. They felt his sincerity and they already found out what he truly feels for their Ojou. Claude on the other hand got really pissed and shouted at him that surprised everyone.

"You stupid yakuza!" He grittedly said and add, "Why did it took you too long to realize what you feel for Ojou? I don't like you at all for her and I'm sure you are full aware of that fact. You are not deserving at all but I can't act as a hindrance for both of you anymore, not this time, because of her happiness and because I don't wanna see her look so hurt anymore so you should really thank me after this. And after this you have to try hardest to get her back. If you ever hurt her again, I'll shoot you to death, remember that."

Raku didn't get what he was trying to say, he was about to asked him what does he mean but the van suddenly stop and the man beside the door open it then Claude face him and said,"Ojou likes you very much to the point that she is getting hurt. I don't why she is feeling hurt by liking you but that's the feeling that triggered her to decide of what she did last Christmas."

And before Raku can even react, one of the men already tossed him outside and then the van drove off with him left in shock outside their yakuza house. After recovering in his shock, a seemingly really happy face showed in Raku and he can explain why. Hearing that Chitoge likes him made his heart really flatter yet still confused as why she was feeling hurt.

"I knew it." Chitoge muttered after hearing the story from Raku. She actually knew all along that it was Claude because she knew herself how he cares for her like he is a big brother - but more like an over protective father than her own legitimate father. The fact that Claude did it really pissed her off but can't seem to get really mad at him because she knows very well that he only wants her happiness even though it will be unacceptable for him and contradict in what he really wanted.

"If you already knew, why bother asking about it?" Raku asked her in curiousity.

"Because I want a confirmation." She stated and sigh. Even though she's not mad, she is a little bit disappointed in Claude action because she trusted him about the decision she made and yet he still exposed her.

"So did it confirm you already? Can we talk about US now?" Raku said as if they are already running out of time.

"Yep that confirms my suspicion but I'm not done asking you yet." She respond and in defeat, once again, Raku asked her what's the other thing bothering her and so she said, "Your promised girl, do you already figure out who she is?"

A bitter-sweet smile form in Raku's lips when he remembered the time they went to the Tengu field with the exception of Chitoge, when they are looking for an answer as to why Chitoge did everything. Raku told her how both of them started to slowly remember their childhood memories. It saddens them to accept that its already too late for them because both Onodera and Raku knew that everything can't be change anymore just because they figured out that they are the one who did the promise. If only they found it earlier maybe they are already been together for a long time and even after Chitoge showed. But it's seems like the fate wanted it to be Chitoge and Raku since she was the first person who wanted to make the promise anyway and may be because she's been sacrificing her own happiness for other people.

"You really are stupid. Even after figuring that out you are still doing this? Why did you just accept it easily?" Chitoge asked in disbelief because that memory is one of her reason why she wanted them to be together. She wanted to make it come true because it amazed her that even after they already turned in their teen age Raku and Onodera is still the same. It didn't even cross in her mind that Raku would change because she really was so sure that he will stick to the one he likes since he was a kid inasmuch Onodera is a very likable girl - a dream girl after all.

"Because there is no way I can make her hopeful. I don't want to give her a false hope. And because she courageously convey her feelings for me that's why I wanted to be true to her as well." Raku exasperatedly explained because they are literally running out of time because they were actually talking in time of their lunch break, they don't have enough time. "Seriously Chitoge, are you still trying to push us together? Didn't I just say that everything has already change and we are here to talk about us? And didn't we already talk about this matter a long time ago. What mattets is about US now. You are really making me mad now!"

Chitoge act high and mighty after getting shock at Raku's explosion. He really looks mad already but she didn't want to show him that she is actually getting scared at him.

"What's about us?" How many times does Chitoge wants to asked him about it, really now.

Raku trying to suppressed his annoyance told her as a matter of fact, "that I love you and you love me."

A scarlet color colored Chitoge's face because of that statement and stuttered, "w-what makes y-you so s-sure about that?"

"Chitoge I really like you as much as I don't know how to explain anymore why I feel this way towards you. It's making me crazy and yet I'm happy to have this feelings for you. So just please tell me how you truely feel for me. I know you better than anyone and I believe that our feelings are mutual. But still, I want to hear it coming from you. If I need to beg I'll do it. So please just this time, let me know your feelings." Raku desparately said. He act confident to say that their feelings is mutual but if Chitoge continues to stubbornly hide it, there is now way he can be confident anymore about it because he might start thinking that maybe he's just imagining things.

Despite being the most stubborn girl Chitoge is, after seeing how desperate Raku is made her feel like she really need to give him a proper answer. She might still thinking of running but there is also a feeling building up within her that she also wanted him to know how she really feels for him. She wanted to share with him all the feelings she started to have when she met him and when she slowly learned to love him. Even though she did really wished for Raku and Onodera to be together, there is also a part of her that wanted to give all her best to fight for her love. She doesn't want to regret anything and she doesn't want to waste anyone's effort that also sacrifice for them to be together so she might as well risk her feelings for him. This is now or never.

"I..." Chitoge opened her mouth a little like she wanted to say something. She is blushing hardly, heart throbing like she is having a heart attack and seeing like this made Raku feel more hopeful. He is getting nervous and excited at the thought that things might really work out now.

On the other hand, Chitoge is still trying her best to cheer and encouraged herself to say it properly. She's been inhaling and exhaling for a couple of minutes and when she felt like she is really ready she suddenly shouted, "I..." and sofly whisper to herself, "like you, too."

In the end, Chitoge is already feeling so embarassed at the thought that they will be a real couple after this. She imagine it and it made her happy. Yet she can't still say it properly because of her self-conciousness.

"What? I didn't hear you at all? Say it louder will you? We are already running out of time!" Raku said panicking when he hear a ruckus going outside the room and yet Chitoge didn't even give a damn about it but he can't blame her because he knows what she's going through. But still urgh this is so frustrating. We are already getting there and yet I might end up not getting the answer again.

And so as Raku guessed, the room opened with their teacher standing in the door and their classmate looking dissapointed more than he is.

"I missed it. The chance." Raku stated as if he was about to cry. He felt like he really lose this time.

Chitoge look at him like she felt sorry for him and thought how can I be so stupid and a slowpoke. I feel really sorry for Raku now. What to do?

"What are you doing here just the two of you?" The teacher asked but they both ignored that teacher while their classmates are the one getting mad for them.

Raku and Chitoge go their designated seat. After sitting themselves Raku face her and said, "I won't let you get away anymore and make you say it properly this time within today."

She acted she won't cooperate but she actually already decided that this day is her the now or never day.

AN: A cliffhanger. Sorry. Finally finished this. God I've been working on this chapter for a weeks and I'm really sorry about that. I got really hook in this anime titled Boku no Hero Academia (and I like Katsui Bakugo to the bones tee hee) that's why I can't focus myself in writing and because I'm also always getting really sleepy too early because of being exhausted from work. On to the story, I used the scene that Raku and Onodera had in the real story the flashback in this story because it's really a good scene. Anyways, thank you for all the reviews. I can't really believe that I still have reader.
