False/True Love 28: The Answer

While Marika is still giggling because of Chitoge's cute yet annoying antic, Raku first pick the shoe that Chitoge throw at him. And when Marika was just telling him to drag Chitoge somewhere, he was actually already in front of her, not just in front of her but kneeling in front of her helping her wear the shoe she just throw at his face. So of course, all eyes are still on them, and the moment Marika finished talking, Raku stood up from kneeling and face Chitoge that has a face like a tomato because of the embarrassment she's been feeling the moment Raku kneeled in front of her and in front of everyone. That moment, that time, she felt like she almost a Cinderella. Everyone just watched in silence and Raku act what he wanted without care around him. He look at Chitoge with a smile in his lips, held her hand and mouthed 'let's go' before pulling her and run fast to get away from everyone.

Raku is almost dragging her down the school building. It's not like he's in a hurry to be alone with Chitoge, it's just that, he badly wanted to really talk to her intensively this time round to get the answer he can't seem to have because of her stubborness. Despite pulling her in a hurry, he is pulling her with extra care since he felt like Chitoge is not struggling with him holding her hand while pulling her. But somehow, Raku felt weird that she's not struggling at all, so he check her on his back with a quick look and saw her face looking tired already from running in the stairs and hallway. Raku got worried and was about to stop when Chitoge suddenly look up at him, right into his eyes that startled him. He choked a little bit especially when Chitoge place her hand on his arms, almost like clinging into his arms, to stop him from running and so he stop.

Chitoge heavily breath and tried to compose herself then say, "You don't have to forcefully drag me anymore. This time, I'll willingly go with you and talk."

With that said, Raku's face brigthen up like he already had the answer he wanted and yet he still asked, "Really?" for confirmation and Chitoge gave her a sweet smile and nod.

Now, they are walking freely outside the school building, with their hands still intertwined, when they suddenly heard a disturbing noise not so far from them. Raku and Chitoge look at each other in curiousity and tried to listen carefully where its coming from and realize its the sound of the animals inside their school ground. The sounds made by the animals sounds in panic and without a second thought, Chitoge tigthen her hold in Raku's hand and pulled him to where the animals are.

"W-Wait Chitoge... you don't have to run." Raku said but Chitoge only look at him without stopping and said, "I know you are worried about them so let's just hurry."

Yes, Raku is worried. Chitoge knew the very moment they realize that the animals are in trouble, Raku got worried. She knew how much he likes those animals even though those animals doesn't feel the same way. Remembering the first time she came in that part of school with him and seeing him got bitten by them made her laugh a little.

When they reach the location, the animals are indeed in panic and looking in one direction and so they followed it and saw Crusher Kato's head is stuck in the opening part of the cage. It's like it push itself to open the cage. Raku didn't hesitate to walk towards the cage to help the chicken in need of help but Chitoge stopped him.

"Why?" He asked with a tone like he is in a hurry because of the continuing noise by the animals.

"What do you mean why?" Chitoge slightly scowl and continue, sounding worried for him, "You stay there and I'll help that chicken or else it will just hurt you."

"It's fine, I'm so used to it and I don't want you to be the one to get hurt." Raku assured her but she still argued and said, "those animals doesn't even like you. No animals like you."

That hit him and hurt him a little, the fact that he loves animals and they don't feel the same way hurt a bit, but he still manage to joke around and said, "of course not, I'm sure that there is one animal that really likes me."

Chitoge's right eyebrow twitch with the confident Raku showed and asked, "and what kind of animal is that?"

"Onna-gorilla..." he simply asnwered with a soft laugh. Chitoge blushed remembering the lines he said... that really likes me. How can he be so sure? She wanted to react and argue more but the sound of the animals are hysterically getting more louder than before as if they are trying to get their attention before they forgot why they are there in the first place and so she just gestured him to just go help the chicken already.

After helping the chicken in need of help, the animals are all calm down now and look like Crusher Kato and other animals seemed to like Raku now.

"Good for you." Chitoge even teased him before they left the animals.

As they continued walking, they unconciously started wandering inside their school premises. They passed by the school gym where they played their school play Romeo and Juliet for their school festival. They even reenact the last part of the play and then choose to have a drink in the very same spot they sitted that day after their play.

"That was very unforgettable play. I can't even think if that was awesome or horrible. But overall I really enjoyed playing as Juliet even as an... option." Chitoge commented after sipping from her drink.

"Yeah..." Raku responded and smile at the thought of her wearing the Juliet costume and said, "I wasn't able to say this before, but you were really beautiful in Juliet's costume."

Raku gave her a look that almost look like the same look Chitoge gave to him when she said she loathed him. Now that he remembered it, he wanted to ask why, "In this very exact spot, you told me you loathed me, why is that?"

A red flushed colored Chitoge's face while looking at him but she didn't budge to look away. And somehow she look determined before she stand up and said, "it's because that's the time I admitted to myself that I like you."

Well, yeah she said that, she really did, but she said it too fast while walking away from Raku and he didn't manage to act as fast as he wanted. He got astonished from where he was sitting before he finally stood up and follow her asking her to reapeat what she just said. But because it's Chitoge we're talking about, she is being stubborn again at the same time looks like being playful with him and he just decided to go with the flow and in her mood. It doesn't really matter if she didn't say it clearly right into his face, what matter is she isn't denying it anymore. She won't repeat it but she isn't denying what he just heard from her and that made him happy already and assured that their feelings are mutual.

They continue wandering inside the school premises while bickering and remeniscing those moments they had for the last three years until they reach the wall were it all started.

"How did you even manage to jump from there?" Raku still asked even though he already knew how.

"Should we thank this wall?" Chitoge joke, laughing with what she said herself.

"I guess we should." Raku agreed laughing, "if it's not because of this wall, I wouldn't meet in you in the worst case scenario."

"Yeah..." Chitoge responded, they are both looking up at the wall and she continued, "if it's not because of this wall, I wouldn't hurt you and you wouldn't hate me to the point that you started me calling onna-gorilla."

"Well, I didn't hate you that much. You get in my nerve sometime, but I never think I hate you." Raku confessed.

"Why is it with all those hate and bickering I had with you... I still..." Chitoge turn her head to look at him with a sweet smile in her face. A cool breez passing to them, she tuck in her hair in her ear and said, "you change my feelings into something deeper."

"I should ask the same question." Raku said inching the small gap they have with each other. He caress her face and look lovingly in her eyes and just felt like he wanted to say, "I love you, Chitoge."

He wanted to repeat it over and over until she tells him she felt the same way. Eaither way, it also felt like she doesn't have to do so because she is somehow showing it to him already through action. He wanted hold her so dearly and won't let her go anymore. He wanted her to stay by her side. He wanted her. And before he can even stop thinking, Chitoge already thrown herself to him and hug him tight, crying. The moment she heard him say those words, it hit her how much sincere and how much he love her wholeheartedly without a doubt.

And then she answered, "I love you too, Raku. I love you to the point that I'm willing to get hurt just to make you happy. But I'm sorry that I only hurt you. I'm sorry that I'm so selfish. I'm sorry for not being honest. I like you for a very long time Raku and I wanted to be with you. And afterall with what happened I still want to be selfish because I wanted to be love by you; I want you to like me too and only me."

Raku hug her back with his other hand patting her head and said, "Rest assured Chitoge, this time for sure, you are the only girl I love. And you're not the only selfish here, I hurt a lot of people too just to have you. I choose you among them all because I know where my heart belong."

This made Chitoge cried even louder while Raku is calming her. He is laughing at her while she keeps on crying. He's teasing her and she's still crying. But all in all, he is happy seeing her like this, because he knows that she is crying because she already left out all the pain she felt and think she cause for everyone. He knows that behind those tears she felt relieve and happy.

"You don't have to worry Chitoge, I know all those people we hurt because of us already forgave us because they all want our happines too." Raku reminded her and wipe away the tears that won't stop falling from her eyes.

Chitoge responded with a nod and smile at him. She knows that he's right and she knows how much their friends worried and look from them too. Chitoge is very thankful to all those people surrounding them. She is thankful that even though she hurt them so much, they choose to make her happy. And that's why she decided she won't run anymore. For the second time she told Raku she loves him, wholeheartedly with a bright smile on her face. And before she can even react, she already felt his lips on her. She didn't struggle no more and she willingly kiss him back too. When they parted their lips, Raku rested his forehead on her and they smiled at each other.

They stayed like that for a couple of seconds before he asked, "Does this mean you are officially my..."

Raku didn't manage to finish what he wanted to ask when he heard a loud, "Oooojjjjoooooou."

And then the second one is, "Congratulations, Bouchama."

Both of them freeze for a couple of minutes before they turn their head, with their forehead still in contact and wide eyes, to see the gang and the yakuza crying their eyes out not too far from them. And it's not only them but also their friends, and Tachibana is the first person to step up.

"It's not the wall you should thank, you know that, don't you?" Tachibana said righteously and Chitoge responded with a fast nod like she doesn't have a right to argue at all and as if she is scared of her. "I'm glad that you decided to stop running anymore."

Tachibana gave her a sincere smile and that made Chitoge cried over again. She look to her other friends and saw Onodera with a tears in her eyes but she is also smiling at her with honesty and mouthed a congratulations to her and it made her cry even more. Despite feeling ashamed to what she did to her, she wanted to approach her and hug her and before she can act on her own, Raku already help her to stand up and push her back to go towards them. And when he do so, she run towards them and crush herself to them into a big hug.

The girls continued crying and Chitoge keep on asking for their forgiveness. And they console her and make her feel reassured that they are all happy with the outcome.
