"What?" asked Alice. "What do you mean?"

He looked at her with sad eyes, "What I exactly said, Fluff. We shouldn't talk for awhile." he began to walk towards the station.

Alice couldn't understand...she had thought that was what he wanted. Had she read all the signs wrong?

"It's not your fault, you know." she looked up at him. "It's mine, I believed that...shit...I just believed that things for me could be different. That I could be happy, free, and most of all, just do the things I wanted to do." he looked up at the sky. "Once again, I have to cut myself off from everything just because..."

"Damien." she stopped him by grabbing his paw. He didn't pull away but he didn't grab it either. " Damien, I don't care ab-"

"Just stop." he pulled away from her beginning to walk away. "You should go home, Alice. Your perfect family is probably looking for you or they will be. I'll see you around."

And with that, he left her standing there...with her heart split in two.

Damien refused to look back at her, he couldn't bear to see that he had hurt her. The truth was...he was probably hurt more than her.

One month later...

Alice had continued going to school, but her and everyone had stopped seeing Damien. He had come to school every now and then, but then he stopped coming to school altogether. She did her best to stay away from going to his grandmas house but she wanted to know he was okay.

Although, her gut told her to leave him alone, her heart kept telling her to look for him. When she was walking home, she had decided to walk to GG's house. And Before she knew it, she was right on the doorstep. She could see the scratches that had been on the door were still there but less noticeable due to a new coat of paint. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door.

She waited a few moments before starting to step down when the door opened to GG. "Alice, my dear, how pleasant of you to come here, please come in unless you have to go."

"No I don't have to, I had just thought nobody was home." she entered the house and followed GG into the dining room.

"Hold on, my dear Im gonna get you something to drink and we can catch up on things."

Alice nodded and sat at the table as GG disappeared into the kitchen. She couldn't hear the kits in the house...it seemed oddly quiet for the usual sounds of the house. 'Where was everyone?'

When GG came into the room with some water and cookies, Alice nodded her thanks when she was handed a cookie. "So my dear, what brings you to my house?" GG looked at her over the top of her cup of tea.

"GG, I was just wondering how Damien was, and I just wanted to see is he was okay, since he hasn't been to school for almost a month. Besides I'm not the only one that wondering that but..." she trailed off, looking at GG.

She could see GG had a hint of emotion on her face but like Damien, she was good at hiding it. "My dear, I am afraid, I don't know where Damien has gone."Alice was shocked and started to say something when GG spoke first, "He came back from the trip with you early, he said that your trip was cut short because of something happening to your dad. But I will admit, it did seem like he was bothered by something. Later that night, he came to me and said he loved me and was thankful for the things I did for him. That night, he left and I haven't seen him since."

Alice didn't know what to say..He left..
