As Theodore and Digger walked through the tunnels, Theodore was still thinking about his brothers and how worried they might be.
Alvin, Simon... I miss you guys. Theodore thought. I hope they won't be made at me.
"Digger will we find them?" Theodore asked. "What if they left mr behind?"
" Don't worry kid. We'll find them." Digger said. "Now that I think about it I wonder how their doin' searchin' for you."
"Yeah. Me too." Theodore said.
"Alvin I need you be completely honest with me." Simon said as he continued walking next to Alvin. 'Why are you so protective of Theodore and I?"
Alvin gulped nervously; he never told his brothers about why he was so protective of his brothers.
"Alvin. I asked you a question." Simon said. "So if you please, will you answer my question or not?"
Alvin sighed in defeat. "Fine. The reason I'm so protective of you guys is that I..." Alvin paused before he spoke again. "I don't want to loose you or Theodore, you guys are the last thing that I have left and if I lost you guys... there's no telling what I would do." Alvin said. "I just love you guys so much."
Simon placed his paw on Alvin's shoulder and looked at him with sympathy.
"Alvin you'll never loose me or Theodore. Promise me that we won't loose you too." Simon said.
Alvin pulled Simon into a tight hug. "I promise." He said.
"Alvin, Simon!"
Alvin's ears perked up at the sound of a familiar voice. "S-Simon did you hear that?" Alvin asked.
Simon nodded. "I did. I think that was Theodore." He said.
"Come on!" Alvin grabbed Simon's paw and ran following the sound of his youngest brother Theodore.
"Theodore! Stay where you are, Simon and I are coming!" Alvin said.
"It's Alvin and Simon! Come on Digger!"
"Did he just say Digger...?"
Alvin felt a strong force knock him and Simon to the ground. He looked up and smiled happily.
"Theodore!" Alvin and Simon said happily.
"I missed you guys!" Theodore said as he hugged both his brother's tightly.
"Us too Theo." Alvin smiled.
Theodore got up and helped both of his brothers to their feet.
"How did you find your way through these tunnels?" Simon asked.
"Digger helped me." Theodore said looking at Digger who had a smile on his face. "He was the one who helped me find you."
When Digger saw Alvin his smile immediately faded.
"Alvin." Digger said in a bitter tone.
"Digger." Alvin said in the same time as Digger.
"Aren't ya gonna thank me?" Digger asked with his arms crossed.
"Thank you for what?" Alvin crossed his arms.
Digger rolled his eyes. "For getting your brother back to ya." He said as if it were obvious.
"Oh right, thanks. I guess." Alvin said as if he didn't care.
"Do you not want me around?" Digger asked.
He knew what Alvin's answer would be but he didn't stick around to find out so he turned his back to the boys.
"I'll leave." Digger said but before he walked away Alvin spoke.
"Don't leave Digger." Alvin said."Look I'm sorry for the way I treated you, and never accepted you. So can we start over?" Alvin said with a smile.
"Alvin I..." Digger got cut off by Theodore hugging him.
"Pretty please?" Theodore asked with puppy dog eyes.
"I can't say no to a face like that." Digger said. He looked up at Alvin and smiled. "Alright I'm in."
Alvin ran over to Digger and Theodore and hugged them.
'Thanks Diggy." Alvin whispered into his old friend's ear.
"No problem." Digger whispered back.
