Once Alvin, Simon, and Theodore had gotten back to their room, they saw Hank packing his bag. Digger and Tray were on the bed watching TV.

Hank closed his bag and looked at the three chipmunks, "Guys we're going to leave in a few minutes. You guys can watch tv with Digger and Tray before we leave."

"Okay." Alvin said.

Alvin and his brothers jumped onto the bed that Digger and Tray were on and sat down.

"So how'd it go with the girls?" Tray asked as he faced the three chipmunks.

"There was one problem, but, it went well." Theodore said.

"Come on guys. Time to go." Hank said as he made his way towards the door.

"Coming!" They all said.

The Chipmunks, and Digger jumped off the bed and went over to Hank. Digger looked at Tray, "Tray! Come on!" He said.

"Keep your pants on!" Tray turned off the tv and joined the others.

Hank opened the door and he, the chipmunks, and Digger and Tray went down to the lobby and checked out, after Alvin and his brothers said goodbye to The Chipettes, they joined the others at the entrance of the hotel. Then they went outside to get in Hank's truck and drove off. Hank turned on the radio.

"Finally we're on the road again!" Alvin said. "I couldn't wait to get back on the road!"

Digger noticed how happy Alvin was and chuckled, "What's got you so happy Alvin?"

"I'm just so happy to get out of that hotel!" Alvin said, Digger and the others laughed.

"Us too, dude!" Digger laughed.

"This is getting me in a song mood." Hank smiled as he turned up the radio.

"Let's sing somethin'." Tray suggested.

Alvin opened his mouth and began to sing.

I crack a window and feel the cool air cleanse my every pore,As i pour my heart out!

Simon and Theodore had their arms wrapped around each other as they began to sing.

To a radio song that's patient and willing to listen,

My volume drowns out!

Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Digger, Tray, and Hank started to sing the last few verses of the song together.

Yeah, but that's O.K. cause i do better than him anyway, any day!

Yeah, my voice is as sweet as salt,

I search for comfort and i find it where i've found it many times before, Times before can be forgotten,

My pile shakes as i hit eighty on the open road,

This is an open road song!

Everyone laughed.

"You sing really good Hank." Theodore said as he looked up at Hank.

"Thanks kid." Hank smiled. "I try."

"No need to try Hank, you sing awesome!" Alvin grinned.

"I have to agree with Alvin, you are great." Simon said. Digger and Tray nodded in agreement.

Hank laughed, "Aw shucks, thank you guys."

"No prob." They all said.

fifthteen minutes later, Alvin and his brothers fell asleep. Except for Digger and Tray who were looking out the window they would 'ooh' at every car they would go pass by. Hank was amused by this.

"What are you two doing?" Hank asked.

"We're just looking out the window." Digger said still looking out the window.

"Yeah. What he said." Tray said still looking out the window.

Hank smiled but it quickly faded, he sighed.

"What's wrong, Hank?" Digger asked as he and Tray sat back down.

"I'm just thinking about my family." Hank replied in a sad tone.

"What happend to them?" Digger asked.

"They..." Hank began, then paused before speaking again. "They abandoned me when I just a baby, I have been in and out of foster homes all my life. I thought I had found a forever home when I got taken in by The Puckett Family, but they dumped me in a truck stop when i just five."

Hank now had tears in his eyes but he kept speaking, "The only thing I got taught by them was to hide your sadness by being happy all the time."

"I been through the same thing yer went through man. But it ain't healty to keep your feelings in." Tray said.

"Yeah, you can always talk to us." Digger said. "We'll be here for you, no matter what."

"T-thanks Tray. You too, Digger." Hank smiled.

"Your welcome." Digger said. "We love you."

"I...love you guys too." Hank said. "Get some sleep guys, we'll be in San Fransico in a few minutes."

"Alright." Tray said as he closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Digger closed his eyes and went to sleep as well.

Digger and Tray, those two know how to cheer a guy up. Hank thought.

Hank then chuckled at his thought.
