After a few more hours of driving, Hank finally pulled into a parking lot, he gently tapped Alvin's arm. "Alvin, wake up." He said.
Alvin's eyes fluttered open, hr slowly got up and stretched his arms. "Hank?" He yawned, "W-where are we?"
"Look outside."
Alvin did what he was told and looked out the window, he gasped at what he saw. There were men and women dressed in bright colored clothing, and there was a sign that said, Welcome to San Francisco, In big lettering.
"We're really here." Alvin said.
"Yep. Now wake up the other's, wil you?"
Alvin obeyed and went over to his two sleeping and companions, he started to poke Simon's arm. "Simon. Wake up..." Alvin said.
Simon yawned, "I'm up, I'm up..." He said still tired. "What is it Alvin?"
"We're in San Francisco!" Alvin exclaimed with happiness. "So wake up Theodore, Digger, and Tray!"
Simon nodded and was about to up Theodore, Digger, and Tray but they were already awake.
"What happened? Where are we?" Theodore looked around anxiously. "Are we in San Francisco?!"
"Yes Theo. We are in San Francisco." Simon smiled.
Alvin looked at Hank, "Thank you for driving us here Hank. We won't ever forget what you did for us." He finished with a warm smile.
Alvin and his brothers were about to leave but Tray stopped them.
"It was nice travelin' with y'all." Tray said.
"Yeah it was fun." Digger wrapped his arm around Tray.
"You mean...you aren't coming with us?" Theodore said almost in shock.
"Yes Theodore." Digger said. "Tray and I gotta get back home."
"But we...we were having so much fun together! I don't want you guys leave!" Tears started to stream down Theodore's face.
Tray and Digger went over to Theodore and pulled him into a gently hug.
"Shhh..." Digger cooed. "It's okay, it's okay Theodore. Tray and I will always be your friends."
"Yep. We will until the end of time." Tray said.
Theodore wiped his tears and looked up at the two gophers with hope, "Really?" He asked.
"Really." Digger and Tray said in unison.
Once Digger and Tray released Theodore from the hug, Digger looked at Alvin and smiled.
"Take care man."
Alvin smiled back, "You too. C'mon Theodore."
"Coming." Theodore walked over to his brothers then he looked back at Digger and Tray. "B-bye guys."
"Bye Theo."
Alvin, Simon, and Theodore jumped out of the window. They ran away to a safe place as Hank's truck started up and drove away.
"I'll miss those guys." Simon said.
"Me too, Simon." Theodore said.
"Come on guys! Let's be happy, we're finally in San Francisco!" Alvin said. "So let's go find our parents!"
"Oh okay..." Simon and Theodore said.
Alvin grabbed his brothers and they ran out of the parking lot.
"So where are we gonna find our parents Alvin?" Theodore asked.
"The forest! Duh!"
Once Alvin, Simon, and Theodore made there way into the forest. Alvin was feeling more determined than usual, and Simon and Theodore were feeling scared about finding their parents.
"Guys stay close." Alvin told his brothers.
Simon and Theodore nodded.
"Alvin do you think we will find our parents here?" Theodore asked.
"Think? I know we will find our parents." Alvin said. He clenched his fists. "And I won't let anyone get in my way. I will stop at nothing to find them, if it's the last thing that I do."
Simon was stunned, he never Alvin was so determined to find their parents. Even though he was the smart one, Alvin was the one who came up with the brains to go on this journey. Simon was impressed by Alvin's maturity.
"That was very well put Alvin. Very well put indeed." Simon smiled.
"Thanks Simon." Alvin said.
"I hope we find our parents soon." Theodore said, he soon heard a tiny rustle in the bushes behind him and stopped in his tracks. Theodore caustically turned his head and squinted his eyes as he looked at the bushes. There was silence for a few seconds.
"Theodore!" Simon called, snapping him out of his trance, "You coming?" Theodore quickly looked at his brothers then back at the bushes.
"Co-coming!" Theodore replied, hastily following after his brothers.
"What was all that about Theodore?" Alvin asked.
"I thought I heard something in the bushes." Theodore replied, gesturing back to the bushes, "It was nothing, I think."Alvin and Simon gave Theodore an suspicious look.
"Are you playing a trick on us?" Alvin asked.
"No I swear!" Theodore putted his paws up in defense.
Suddenly, all the brothers ears pricked up as a sharp snapping sound like a twig sounded. The Chipmunks' head's jerked around towards the bushes. There was just silence.
"Hello?" Simon said nervously. "Is anyone three?" There was no reply.
"Don't worry guys. Everything is fine."" Alvin said. "It's probably just the wind." Suddenly, there was a small rustling sound coming from the bushes. Now, Simon and Theodore were both in fighting positions just like Alvin.
"ALRIGHT WHOEVER YOU ARE COME ON OUT!" Alvin yelled as he lifted up his fist, ready to fight. "RIGHT NOW!" Suddenly, something jumped out the bushes and tackled Alvin to the ground, pinning him onto his back.
"Get off our brother!" Theodore screamed. Theodore tried to pull the figure off Alvin but the figure pushed him off, knocking him into Simon. Quickly, Alvin managed to kick the thing in the stomach and off him. Alvin stood up, claws out, ready to attack. Suddenly, he stopped and stared in surprise, he retracted his claws.
The figure that stood before him and his brothers was a beautiful naked chipette. She was skinny and the same height as Simon. The color of her fur and hair, which was tied in a ponytail with a small fringe, was like Simon's, except it was lighter. Alvin and his brothers immediately recognized ber. Alvin suddenly spoke.
"Mom?"
