The Chipmunks stared at the the chipette, frozen to their spots in complete shock. They just couldn't believe what they were seeing, they almost couldn't breath. It was as if an icy hand gripped him by the throat. Then, the chipette's green eyes both windend in surprise and shock, her jaw began to hang loose, as she began to recognize the three chipmunks standing in front of her.
"Boys?" She asked, a happy smile appeared on her face. "I can't believe it! I'm so happy to see you guys!" After what seemed like hours of silence, Alvin finally spoke, a scowl beginning to form on his face.
"Well Mom." he said, in a angry tone. "I hope you're satisfied with yourself." Finally, after a few seconds of silence, Vinny started to walked towards her three son's she tried to put her paw on Alvin's shoulder but he swatted it away.
"Alvin I..." Vinny began gently but her son quickly cut her off.
"I can't believe you." Alvin said coldly. "You're happy to see us after you abandoned us? That's just sick."
"Alvin please just listen I didn't mean to abandon you or Simon and Theodore." Vinny said. "You have to believe me!"
"No way." Alvin crossed his arms.
Theodore looked up at Alvin, "Alvin please listen to what Mom has to say."
Alvin sighed deeply, "You got five seconds, go."
"Okay, it all started like this..." Vinny replied.
Vinny was sleeping in her leaf bed with her three son's in her arms as she laid in her leaf bed, it had been six weeks when she had just given birth to three beautiful chipmunk boys who she and her mate named Alvin, Simon and Theodore. This was by now most best gift her mate, Jake had given her.
Just then, Jake came bursting into the tree with a panicked look on his face."Vinny there's a eagle!" he said, trying to catch his breath. "We-we gotta get outta here!"
Vinny suddenly become worried as she sat her newborn sons down on the bed, "A-are you sure?"
"I haven't been more sure in my life!" Jake said as he took his mate by the paw and lead her to the entrance of the hollow tree. "We gotta hurry!"
"Wait!" Vinny said as she got her paw out of Jake's grip. "Wh-what about the boys?" she asked as she became more nervous by the second. "We can't leave them." Vinny said.
"We're not leaving them." Jake said reassuringly. "We'll come back for them."
"Mommy, daddy?" Called a curious eight-year old Alvin from the bed. "Where are you going?"
A seven-year old Simon and six-year old Theodore sat up, "Mommy?" they both said in unison. "What's happening?"
Vinny went over to her eldest son and managed to give him a weak smile, "We're not going anywhere, but. I-it's just your daddy and I go-gotta go out to a commune for a few minutes. That's all." Vinny pulled Alvin into a hug and hugged him tightly.
"I love you mommy." Alvin said as he hugged her tighter.Vinny released her son from the hug. She putted her paws in het sons shoulders."Take care of your brothers." Vinny said. "Don't let me down.
"I will mommy and I won't let you down." Alvin gave her a salute.
Vinny chuckled, "That's a good boy now..."
Suddenly a loud, piercing screech was heard.
"Vinny we have to go." Jake said.Vinny gave a quick kiss on her son's forehead, "Stay safe and stay out of sight."
"We will." Alvin said.Vinny went over to her mate and took his paw in her own."Let's go." Vinny said.Jake nodded.

Jake and Vinny were now running from the eagle that was now pursuing them. The two chipmunks were didn't dare turn their backs at the slightest moment.Once they were sure that hawk had stopped its pursuit on them, they stopped to catch their breath.
"Did we...loose him?" Vinny asked, as she tried to catch her breath.
"I...i think so." Jake said.
Vinny looked up and saw the hawk, with its talons out, descending on them. Jake reacted quickly. Before his mate could get nabbed by the hawk Jake had pushed her out of the way, making it nab him instead!
The hawk had flown away with Jake in its grasp.
Vinny watched in horror as her mate was being carried away by the foul creature,"JAKE!" Vinny yelled from her place on the ground. "NOOO!!"
She couldn't believe it, Jake had sacrificed himself for her, how could she had let this happen?
"I...Jake no..." Tears Vinny's flowed down her face. "Jake...i'm sorry...oh god i'm sorry!" She had to tell the boys what had just happened to their father. Then she realized, what her boys think of her?
Vinny wiped her tears and stood up."The boys can't know about this at all." Vinny said to herself. "Boys...i'm sorry."
With that, Vinny ran down the hill towards the road at the bottom. She knew that leaving her boys alone was a bad idea but it was for the best.
"I then snuck onto the undercarriage of a truck that was on its way to somewhere." Vinny continued, as Simon and Theodore, including Alvin listened to her story closely.
"But after a few days on the truck, it stopped and that's when I had learned I was in San Francisco. I then realized that I couldn't bare to go back home because I had a feeling you guys wouldn't love me anymore if I told you the truth." The dark brown chipette carried on, "So I been here ever since."
"Whoa." was all Theodore could say.?
"Mom we, we didn't have know idea." Simon said looking at his mother with sympathy.
"So you abandoned us over not being able to tell us our dad got snatched by a eagle?" Alvin asked, Vinny only nodded in response. "I hate you."
"Alvin how could you say that to our own mother?!" Simon looked at his older brother in shock.
"She abandoned us Simon. How could I ever forgive her for that?" Alvin crossed his arms as he looked at his mother with disgust who now had tears in her eyes.
"I understand if you don't want to forgive me but I need to let you three know something." Vinny said, tears now escape her eyes.
"And what would that be?" Alvin raised an eyebrow.
"I want you all to know that I never ever stopped loving you. Even after what I did, I never stopped thinking about you three or when I abandoned you." Vinny said.
"So you telling me about you and dad joining a commune was a lie?" Alvin asked.
After a few seconds of silence Vinny spoke, "...yes."
Alvin was stunned and angry, he walked up to his mother and struck her across the face, sending her to fall on the ground. Vinny looking at her eldest son in shock. Simon and Theodore only gasped in shock at what Alvin had done.
"Alvin you...s-s-s-slapped me..." Vinny almost couldn't get the word out, she was terrified.
Alvin saw what he had done, tears now filled his eyes, "M-Mom I didn't..."
"Leave."
"Mom, I didn't mean to..."
"Are you deaf?! I said LEAVE!" Vinny screamed.
Alvin looked at his brother, "Simon, Theo come on."
"No."
Simon and Theodore walked over to their mother and helped her up.
"We're staying with mom, Alvin." Simon said.
Alvin didn't want what he had done to his mother worst. So he said the words "I love you." to his brothers one last time before running away. Vinny instantly felt deep regret for yelling at her son like that. She chocked on her own sobs as her two younger sons hugged her tight.
But now, everything was different. And Vinny knew that her relationship with her son's was going to change.
Yep.
I am definitely going to get hated for hurting Vinny like this. But still tell still tell me your opinions on this chapter.
