Chapter 1: Welcome Home Now To The Cup
Normal pov
At St. Mungo's hospital the Potter family along side, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin are there with their friends. Lily Potter is giving birth right now. On July 31, 1980 the Potter family welcome two new member to the family. The first born is a baby boy they name Harry James Potter. Harry has his father's jet black mess hair, with his mother's green eyes.
After Harry a baby girl is born, they name her Celty Lily Potter. Celty is the spitting image of Lily her self. Red hair and green eyes. Celty had her self wrapped around James, Sirius and Remus's little fingers.
Its been two day's and Lily is fast asleep in her room. The room is dark and the twin's are fast asleep. What they didn't know something is about to happen. For the good or bad only time can tell. A man creeped into Lily's room while James went home to get it ready for his new family. The man crept over to where the twin's lay in their bed. He held his hand over them and he felt something coming off Celty.
Then he picked up the sleeping Celty and held her in his arms. "I'm so sorry about this Lily." he said softly not waking the sleeping mother. He looked down at Harry and saw him hugging a small stuff doe. There was a small stuff buck laying next to Harry where Celty was laying down. The man picked up the stuff buck and put a note in the crib with Harry. Then he left with Celty in his arms. No one noticed the man with the infant in his arm's.
It wasn't even two minute's after he left with Celty when James came back. James went to check on his baby's and noticed the note and Celty wasn't laying next to Harry. James picked up the note and read:
I'm sorry about this. This is the only away. You will see your child again in 14
That was all the note said. James went over to Lily and woke her up. "Lily Celty was taken!" James yelled waking up little Harry. Harry started to cry and Lily got up from his crying. "What did you say love?" Lily said wipping the sleep from her eyes. James repeat him self and Lily turn pale as she ran over to the crip. Harry is still crying and Celty wasn't there. James picked up Harry to stop him crying, while Lily broke down and started to cry.
For the next few month's they tried to find out what happen to their baby girl. They didn't find her or what happened to her. No one knew what the last part ment by in 14. "14 what? Days? Weeks?" Sirius said as his own twin boy's started up again. Sirius's girfriend die after giving birth to their son's. James let him move in with them so he didn't have to raise the boy's on his own.
"We don't know padfoot. All we can do is just pray that we see Celty again." James said trying to hold it together for Lily. When James was alone he would break down and cry.
14 year's later
Its almost been 14 year's since Celty was taken. Every one has been trying not to think about it but they just couldn't get stop thinking about her. They never stopped looking for Celty. The Potter's, Black's and Remus are at the Weasley's home so they can head to the World Cup with them.
Bill and Charlie are moving table's out side in the garden. Lily, Hermione and Ginny are setting the table's. James, Sirius and Remus are helping Molly by bring out the food. Then something came out of the forest next to the field. When they came out of the forest a death vide came of them and it hit them all.
All head's turned towards them. "What the bloody hell are those?" Sirius said as this tall white ugle creature's slowly walked towards them. "They don't look right. I don't like the feeling I'm getting from them." Lily said with a growl. She has been looking for something to take her rage out on. But before they could pull out their wand's. Something came down from the sky and landed on the low stone wall.
Who ever this was is about 5'1, a long jacked kind of something like a pirate's coat, this jacket has a hood that is something like from Assassins Creed. But in their own design. This person pulled out two gun's and started to shot the creatures. Loud pop pop's came from the gun's rang out. The creature's fell to the ground dead. Then the gun's made a clicking sound meaning they are out.
The gun's vanished and then the person took off runing towards the vile creatures. Two battle axe's came out of some where and they watched as she took off their heads. "Who is that?" James said to no one really. "You will found out when she is done." came a deep voice from behind them. James, Sirius, Remus and Lily turned around to see a man walking towards them. Lily knew this man but hasn't seen him in years.
"Uncle Tim? What are you doing here?" Lily said to him. Tim looked at her and smiled sadly. "There is something I need to tell you and you wont like it. I hope you can understand." Tim said as he saw black flames from behind them. She is done and walked over to them. "Tim what are you saying?" Lily said started to get scared. The girl jumped over the wall and walked over to Tim. "You can take off your hood now child and turn off your music." Tim said and the girl nodded her head.
When she took off her hood her long red hair fell behind her and she turned off her music and headphones. Her green eyes looked into Lily's own green eyes. Standing in front of them is a mini Lily. Lily's eyes filled with tear's as she looked at her daughter. "C-C-Celty." Lily sobbed before she threw her self at Celty. Celty didn't know what to do with her mother. "WHAT THE HELL TIM!" Lily screamed when she left go of Celty.
Tim looked down at the ground. "Lily let me explan please." Tim said and James pulled out his wand. Celty moved in front of him. Her green eyes are as cold as steal. James stood there looking at his long lost daughter with shock. "He did what he had to, to save me. The less people who knew the safer you would be." Celty said in a cold voice and speaking for the first time.
"What do you mean?" Lily said to her daughter. "Celty why don't you tell them since they listen to you." Tim said as he put a warm hand on her shoulder. "Mum your family is one of the very few last of a long and ancient blood line. Back in the day there was this creatures that wanted to rule the world. The Wizard's and Witch's back then couldn't care less about what happen to the muggles. So fifty different blood line's join together to try and stop them. Over time some of them where born with magic also called muggle born's. Time went on and the muggle born's help the family with them. We soon called them Ventouses meaning power suckers. They suck the power from the clans." Celty said softly to them.
"The clan's might have been muggles but there is another kind of magic that the wizdering world don't know about and that muggle's can use. It is passed down. Till one day a new and more powerful being's was born. They have the power of your normal witch and with ancient power. The Ventouses was more powerful back then. They sucked the power out of them and become stronger. Then they will kill them. So the blood line's started to dwindle down. There was fourteen clans left but the last fourteenth clan memeber was killed before I was born. Tim took me because I'm one of the very few that has both powers. We only come along every few generations. When one of us is born is when the Ventouses come out. They have their own follower's. They now learned that if they keep us alive they can get stronger till the magic run's dry they kills us. Tim took me before they could get their hands on me. He and the other's trained me to use my magic and to kill them. If they got their hands on me when I was born then you would never have saw me again." Celty said as the other looked at her not sure what they just heard.
"Celty is your's now and give her time to get use to being in a family." Tim said before he turned to leave. Celty heard Hermione talking to Ron about a show. When the black sock Celty knew what she was talking about. Hermione saw Celty's black glove and Celty was moving her hand like a snake. Hermione's eyes grew wide as she gave Celty a shity grin. When Celty was right behind him Hermione yell. "Ron behind you!" Ron turned around fast and Celty made her move. "Black mamba smack!" Celty said in a warm voice before she light slaped Ron. Then she turned around and took off running. "Black mamba forever!" Celty yelled before she hid behind James like a shield.
Celty peaked around James and both Hermione and Lily are laughing so hard they had to cross their legs, tears running down their face's. They are the only one's that know there that is from. Celty's black mamba sock puppet turned back into her black glove. James looked down at his daughter as she giggled at the look on Ron's face. One second Celty is as cold as winter then another she is like a younger James back in school. James smiled softly as he looked at his baby girl.
Lily fell to the ground still laughing. "That's my girl!" Lily yelled threw the laugher. Celty blushed a little but smiled at her mother. "That wasn't funny." was all Ron could say. That made all three women laugh harder. Celty fell down like her mother because she is laughing so hard. James picked Celty and Lily and moved them to the table. Tim put Celty's black bag on the table and left. Celty watched him leave then turned back to her family and their friends.
Hermione hugged Celty and smiled at her. "Your awesome! We are going to be great friends." Hermione said and Celty smiled more because she is ready to start a new life and to be normal. "Yeah." Celty said not to sure what to say. The other's came around the table and they are all looking at Celty. Lily and Hermione stopped laughing and just smiled at Celty.
Celty is getting a little uneasy. She put back on her hood that covered most of her face. "Celty love?" James said softy to his baby girl. "Y-yes?" Celty said in a very shy voice. Celty sat on her hands as she looked down at the table.
Celty's pov
I stared at the table not sure what I should be doing. Every since I was four I couldn't wait to come back home to be with my parents. I wanted to get to know them and my brother. Now that its really happening I don't know. "What would you like to do?" dad said to me. I just shrugged my shoulders. "Dinner is ready!" call a female from the house. The table already had food on it but then even more landed on it.
More people came out of the house and came over. I watched as every one started to put food on their plats. I just sat there watching and taking in everything they are talking about. Mom looked at me then down at my plate. "Aren't your going to eat?" mom asked me softly but the one's around her heard what she said. They looked at me with worry. "Not really hungry." I whispered to them. I wasn't hungry and I just don't really know how to act around them.
Growing up I was with other's close in age. Friends and foe's they are what I know. We talked about training, weapons, or the evil. Beside's that we would sneak off and have sex. Just thinking being normal I guess you can say I do not know how to be. "Ok sweetheart." mom said with a smile. I smiled back softly. I listened to them talking about the world cup. "What's the world cup?" I asked after a while. Every head turned towards me and I felt my face go red.
Did I say something wrong? I thought to my self. "You never heard of the World Cup?" dad said with shock in his voice. I looked down at the table. "No, they didn't really talk about the magical world. Most of them where muggle's. We did have a few witch's and wizards that teached the very few of us that had magic what we needed to learn. They went to Hogwart's so they know what we should be learning. So when we come back we wont be behind in our lessons." I said softly as I wanted to leave.
"Its ok sweetpea. The World Cup is something that come around this time. Its our sport called Quidditch." dad said then he told me everything about it. It took him all the way till after everything was eaten when he finished. "That sound's like a lot of fun." I said and it does sound like a lot of fun. They are lucky they get to go watch it. That is why they are here because they are all going tomorrow morning. I helped them with the dishes and putting them up. Then as every one is headed to bed I went back out side.
"Where are you going?" mom said with worry in her voice. "Just going to find a tree to sleep in." I said and I saw something in her eyes. "You don't have to we can make room for you inside." she said and I smiled softly at her. "Its fine mum. It's a nice night out I want to sleep under the star's." I said before I hugged her. I felt her eyes on me before I climb up the tall pine tree. I sat there watching the moon rise higher in the sky.
My eyes started to droop as I fought to stay up, but my body wouldn't let me stay up. Once my green eyes closed the nightmare's started up. That is all I remember when I closed my eyes.
The next thing I knew someone was shacking me and calling my name. "Baby girl wake up. It's just a bad dream." came a male voice. I jerked wake with a growl as I pulled out a gun. Dad looked at me with wide eyes. "Sorry." I said as I held in the tear's that are burning to come out. I have to relive that awfull day of my life. "You ok?" mum asked me as she and Harry looked down at me. "I will be." I said as I put my head on my knees. I can feel my hole body shacking.
"Do you want to talk about it?" mum asked me as I looked up. It's still very dark out side. "Nothing to talk about. Why are you all up this early?" I asked as I stood up and felt body. Nothing was boken when I fell out of the tree. "We are getting ready to head out." dad said and Harry rubbed his eyes. "Ok you guy's have fun." I said before I climbed the tree again before they could say anything.
Normal pov
James and Lily watched their daughter climb the with worry in their eyes. "Mum she is sad." Harry said softly to them. They looked down at their son. "How do you know that Harry?" James asked his son. "I can feel it. All those time's when I was happy then got this sad feeling for no good reason its from Celty." Harry said to his parents. "She be find Harry. James love can I have a word with you?" Lily said softly before she made Harry go inside so he could eat before they left.
After walking around the house Lily stopped. "What's wrong love?" James said to his wife. "Why not let Celty have my ticket and she go with you guys?" Lily said to him. James looked down at her and smile. "If you want to then I'm up for it. But what are you going to do then?" James asked her. Lily smiled softly at him. "I go home and get Celty's room ready for her and send a letter to Dumbledore to let him know we got Celty back. And to see if she can finish her school years with the others." Lily said to him wtih a bright smile that he love's so much.
"Ok I go get every one ready just send her our way as fast as you can." James said before he kissed his wife once more then went back inside. Lily went to Celty's tree and started to climb it.
Back in side every one is done eating. Arthur, James, Sirius and Remus had all the kids ready to go. Then they headed out and James was worried that Celty wasn't going to caught up to them. Then they heard something coming towards them faster. They all turned around to see Celty rolling down the path on something. Luka and Jack saw Celty rolling past them and stopped in front of James. "Glade to see you came." James said with a smile as he looked at his daughter. Celty smiled as she nodded her head. They started to walk again but Celty was rolling on her over land board.
It is chilly and the moon was still out. Only a dull, greenish tinge along the horizon to their right showed that daybreak was drawing closer. Celty was thinking what she saw in her father's head when she looking into his eyes. Thousands of wizards speeding towards the Quidditch World Cup, sped up to talk with her father.
"So how does everyone get there without all the muggles noticing?" she asked.
"It's been a massive organizational problem." sighed James. "The trouble is, about a hundred thousand wizards turn up at the World Cup, and of course, we just haven't got a magical site big enough to accommodate them all. There are places Muggles can't penetrate, but imagine trying to pack a hundred thousand wizards into Diagon Alley or platform nine and three-quarters. So we had to find a nice deserted moor, and set up as many anti-Muggle precautions as possible. The whole Ministry's been working on it for months. First, of course, we have to stagger the arrivals. People with cheaper tickets have to arrive two weeks beforehand. A limited number use Muggle transport, but we can't have too many clogging up their buses and trains - remember, wizards are coming from all over the world. Some Apparate, of course, but we have to set up safe points for them to appear, well away from Muggles. I believe there's a handy wood they's using as the Apparition point. For those who don't want to Apparate, or can't, we use Portkeys. They're objects that are used to transport large groups at a time if you need to. There have been two hundred Portkeys placed at strategic points around Britain, and the nearest one to us is up at the top of Stoatshead Hill, so that's where we're headed."
James pointed ahead of them, where a large black mass rose beyond the village of Ottery St. Catchpole.
"What sort of objects are Portkeys?" said Celty curiously.
"Well, they can be anything." said Mr. Weasley who has been listening to them talk. Will every one has been. "Unobtrusive things, obviously, so Muggles don't go picking them up and playing with them. . . .stuff they'll just think is litter. . ."
They trudged down the dark, dank lane towards the village, the silence broken only by their footsteps and Celty's board. They sky lightened very slowly as they made their way through the village, its inky blackness diluting to deepest blue.
They didn't have breath to spare for talking as they began to climb Stoatshead Hill, stumbling occasionally in hidden rabbit hole, slipping on thick black tuffets of grass. Celty on the other hand was already up the hill and was coming back down on her board going fast. Every one watched as she made it back down the hill. Then she came running back up and pasted them again. Everyone made it up the hill.
"Whew," panted , taking off his glasses and wiping them on his sweater. "Well, we've made good time - we've got ten minutes. . ."
Hermione came over the crest of the hill last, clutching a stitch in her side.
"Now we just need the Portkey," said James. Celty looked around and saw it. She jogged over to it and bent down to pick it up. At the same time a hand reached out to grab it. A handsome boy smiled softly at her. "Over here, Arthur! Over here, son, we've got it!" came a voice as Celty and the boy stood up.
"Amos!" said Mr. Weasley, smiling as he strode over to the men and Celty. The rest of them followed.
Mr. Weasley chacked hands with a ruddy-face wizard with a scrubby brown beard, who took the moldy-looking old boot in his other hand.
"This is Amos Diggory, everyone," said Mr. Weasley. "He works for the Department for the Regulation of Control of Magical Creatures. And I think you know his son Cedric?"
Celty and Cedric looked at each other. Tuning out the others. "I never seen you be for." Cedric said with a smile that made Celt blush a little. "I've been gone for fourteen years. I just came back yesterday. I'm Celty Potter." Celty said as she held out her hand and Cedric's eyes got wide when she said her last name. Even Amos is shocked. "Your daughter came back. That's great new's James." Amos said to James.
"Celty your going to be coming to Hogwarts this year?" Cedric asked as he looked Celty up and down. He is liking what he is seeing. "Yes I am." Celty said coming out of her shell. "How old are you?" Cedric asked as her softly. "Going to be fourteen at the end of July." Celty said licking her lips at him. Luka, Jack, Fred and George saw Celty flirting with him. "Harry your sister is flirting with him." Luka said and Harry looking over at his twin sister.
She is flirting with Cedric and Cedric is flirting back with her. "You have beautiful red hair." Cedric said as he tucked some of Celty's red hair behind her ear. "Thank you Ced. You have sexy eyes." Celty said making Cedric blush a little.
"Long walk, Arthur?" Cedric's father asked.
"Not too bad," said Mr. Weasley. "We live just on the other side of the village there. You?"
"Had to get up at two, didn't we, Ced? I tell you, I'll be glad when he's got his Apparition test. Still. . .not complaining. . .Quidditch World Cup, wouldn't miss it for a sackful of Galleons - and the tickets cost about that. Mind you, looks like I got off easy. . ." Amos Diggory peered good-naturedly around at them all.
Cedric saw a scar on the side of Celty's neck. "How did you get that?" Cedric asked softly as he touched it. Celty purred a little at the warmth of Cedric's touch. "I got that one when I was seven. I jumped off a cliff over 3,000 feet in the air, into the jungle. As I skied down it a thorned branch got me on the side of my neck. A very awesome day that was." Celty said and Cedric looked at her with shock. "No way." was all he could say.
Then Celty pulled out her cell phone and showed him a video. "What is this?" Cedric asked as he looked at the screen of the phone. "I tell you later. See that." Celty said as in the video she got cut just below her tits. "Yes." Cedric said as Celty put her phone away and lifted up her shirt. "Oi!" James said but then he saw the scar's all over her body. Celty showed Cedric the scar she got in the video. Cedric saw a new scar that looked like it just healed a while back.
"How did that one happen?" Cedric asked as he pointed to the new scar. He saw her green eyes turn sad mixed with a pure rage. "If you don't mind I rather not talk about that one. That one reminds me of the worst day of my life." Celty said softly to him.
"Must be nearly time," said James quickly, pulling out his watch. "Do you know whether we're waiting for any more, Amos?"
"No, the Lovegoods have been there for a week already and the Fawcetts couldn't get tickets," said Amos. "There aren't any more of us in this area, are there?"
"Not that I know of," said Mr. Weasley. "Yes, it's a minute off. . .We'd better get ready. . ."
James looked at Celty and Hermione. "You just need to touch the Portkey, that's all, a finger will do -"
With difficulty, owing to their bulky backpacks, all of them crowded around the old boot held out by Amos Diggory.
They all stood there, in a very tight circle, as a chilly breeze swept over the hilltop. Nobody spoke. It suddenly occered to Celty how odd this would look if a muggle were to walk up here now. . .seeing them clutching this manky old boot in the semidarkness, waiting. . .
Celty is pressed up against Cedric who is looking at her. "Don't worry Celty this is really fun." Cedric whispered into her ear softly so no one would hear him. Celty made her board shrink and put it in her pocket to make some room.
"Three. . ." muttered Mr. Weasley, one eye still on his watch, "two. . .one. . ."
It happened immediately: Celty felt as though a hook just behind her navel had been suddently jerked irresistibly forward. Her feet left the ground; she felt the others around her, their shoulders banging into her. Celty is getting a rush out of this and she is love it. They were all speeding forward in a howl of wind and swirling color; her forefinger was stuck to the boot as though it was pulling her magnetically onward.
Most of the kids feet slammed inot the ground; Ron staggered into Harry and he fell over; the Portkey hit the ground near Harry 's head with a heavy thud. Harry looked up to see the grown up, Cedric and Celty were still standing, though looking very windswept; everybody else was on the ground. Celty had a huge smile on her face.
"Seven past five from Stoatshead Hill," said a voice.
"Can we do that again?" Celty said and every one looked at her like she was mad. While all beside's Cedric. "Maybe later sweetpea." James said with a smile at his baby girl.
In front of them was a pair of tired and grumpy-looking wizards, on of whom is holding a large gold watch, the other a thick roll of parchment and quill. Both were dressed as Muggles, Though very inexpertly: The man with the watch wore a tweed suit with thigh-length goloshes; his colleague, a kilt and poncho. Celty had a very hard time not laughing.
"Morning, Basil." said Mr. Weasley, picking up the boot and handing it to the kilted wizard, who threw it into a large box of used Portkeys beside him; Celty could see an old newspaper, an empty drinks can, and a punctured football.
"Hello there Arthur, James." said Basil wearily. "Not on duty, eh? It's all right for some. . .We've been here all night. . .You'd better get out of the way, we got a bigger party coming in from the Black Forest at five-fifteen. Hang on, I'll find your campsite. . .Potter. . .Potter. . ." He consulted his parchment list. "About a quarter of a mile's walk over there. first field you come to. Site manager's called Mr. Roberts. Diggory. . .second field. . .ask for Mr. Payne."
"Thank's, Basil," said Mr. Weasley, and he beckoned every one to follow him.
They walked across the deserted moor. Celty pulled out her board again and was slowly rolling next to Cedric. "After the Cup owl me." Celty said to Cedric when they came to their field. "Don't worry I will." Cedric said before he kissed Celty's hand.
They approached the cottage door. A man was standing in the doorway, looking out at the tents, Celty knew at a glance that this was the only real muggle for several acres. When he heard their footsteps, he turned his head to look at them.
"Morning!" said James brightly.
"Morning," said the muggle.
"Would you be Mr. Roberts?"
"Aye, I would," said Mr. Roberts. "And who're you?"
"Potter - three tents, booked a couple of days ago?"
"Aye," said Mr. Roberts, consulting a list tacked to the door.
"You've got a space up by the woods there. Just the one night?"
"That's it." said James.
"You'll be paying now then?" said Mr. Roberts.
"Ah - right - certainly -" said James. He retreated a short distance from the cottaged. Celty walked over to him. James pulled out the muggle money from his pocket and started to peel the notes apart. "Let me have it it." Celty said to her father. James handed it to her and she went back to Mr. Roberts. She payed him and smiled. He smiled back. "Glad to see some of you knowing what your doing." Mr. Roberts said. "I had two try and pay me with great gold coins the size of hubcaps ten minutes ago."
"Did you really?" said James nervously.
Mr. Roberts rummaged around in a tin for some change.
"Never been this crowed. " he said suddenly, looking out over the misty field again. "Hundreds of pre-bookings. People usually just turn up. . ."
"Is that right?" said James, his hand held out for his change, but Mr. Roberts didn't give it to him.
"Aye," he said thoughtfully. "People from all over. Loads of for eigners. And not just foreigners. Weirdos, you know? There's a bloke walking 'round in a kilt and a poncho."
"Shouldn't he?" Sirius cut in anxiously.
"It's like some sort of. . .I dunno. . .like some sort of rally," said Mr. Roberts. "They all seem to know each other. Like a big party."
At that moment, a wizard in plus-fours appeared out of thin air next to Mr. Roberts's front door.
"Obliviate!" he said sharply, pointing his wand at Mr. Roberts. Instantly, Mr. Roberts's eyes slid out of focus, his brows unknitted, and a look of dreamy unconcern fell over his face. Celty recognized the symptoms of one who had just had his memory modified.
"A map of the campsite for you," Mr. Roberts said placidly to James. "And your change."
"Thanks very much," and Mr. Weasley.
The wizard in plus-four accompanied them towards the gate to the campsite. He looked exhausted: His chin was blue with stubble and there was deep purple shadows under his eyes. Once out of earshot of Mr. Roberts, he muttered to them. "Been having a lot of trouble with him. Needs a Memory Charm ten times a day to keep him happy. And Ludo Bagman's not helping. Trotting around talking about Bludgers and Quaffles at the top of his voice, not a worry about anti-muggle security. Blimey, I'll be glad when this is over. See you lat-" but then Celty cut him off. "Why not just used a muggle barrier." He looked at Celty. "What are you talking about?" James asked his daughter.
"It's a barrier that makes the muggles inside of it see everything normal and when wizards are talking about anything from our world they hear something else. The spell is; Barriere moldu. The barrier does fifteen feet around the spot you want. Like the house fifteen feet away and around it. If they see magic they will see fireworks." Celty said and they looked at her with shock. "Thanks. Who are you?" he said to Celty. "She's my daugher. Celty Potter." James said with so much pride made Celty blush. The man smiled at her before he Disapparated.
"I thought Mr. Bagman was Head of Magical Games and Sports," said Ginny, looking surprised. "He should know better than to talk about Bludgers near Muggles, shouldn't he?"
"He should," said Mr. Weasley, smiling, and leading then though the gates into the campsite, "but Ludo's always been a bit. . .well. . .lax about security. You couldn't wish for a more enthusiastic Head of the sports department though. He played Quidditch for England himself, you know. And he was the best Beater the Wimbourne Wasps ever had."
They trudged up the misty field between long rows of tents. Celty got off her board and hit the butten on her shoes to make her blades pop out. She rolled along with the others. Most of the tents looked almost ordinary; their owners had clearly tried to make them as Muggle-like as possible, but had slipped up by adding chimneys, or bellpulls, or weather vanes. However, here and there was a tent so obviously magical that Celty could hardly be surprised that Mr. Roberts was getting suspicious. Halfway up the field stood an extracagant confection of striped silk like a miniature palace, with several live peacocks tethered at the entrance. A little farther on they passed a tent that had three floors and several turattached, complete with birdbath, sundial, and fountain.
"Alway the same," said Mr. Weasley, smiling. "We can't resist showing off when we get together. Ah, here we are, look this is us."
They had reached the very edge of the wood at the top of the field, and here was a empty space, with a small sign hammered into the ground that read Potter.
"Couldn't have a better spot!" said Mr. Weasley happily. "The field is just on the other side of the wood there, we're as close as we could be." He and James hoisted their backpack from their shoulder's. "Right," Mr. Weasley said excitedly, "no magic allowed, strictly speaking, not when we're out in these numbers on Muggle land. We'll be putting these tents up by hand! Shouldn't be too difficult. . . .Muggles do it all the time. . .so where do you guys reckon we should start?"
Every one looked at Hermione and she blushed. "I do it." Celty said as she took her father's tent first and it took her two minute's to put it up then did the other two tents in no time. "How did you know to put them up?" James asked Celty with a smile. Every one else looked at her with shock. "I had to live in a tent for a year when I turned nine. Putting them up is no biggy." Celty said softly with pink cheeks. "That's my sister for you." Harry said as he patted Celty on the back.
Nobody looking at these tents would guess they belonged to wizards, Celty thought, but the trouble was that once Bill, Charlie and Percy arrived, they would be a party of 13. Hermione seemed to have spotted this problem too; she gave Celty a quizzical look as James and Sirius dropped to their hands and knees and entered Mr. Weasley's tent.
"We'll be a bit cramped in this one," Sirius called, "but I think we'll all squeeze in. Come and have a look."
Celty bent down, ducked under the tent flap, and felt her jaw drop. She had walked into what looked like a old-fashioned, three-room flat, complete with bathroom and kitchen. There were crocheted covers on the mismatched chairs and strong smeel of cats.
"Well, it's not for long," said Mr. Weasley, mopping his bald patch with a handkerchief and peering in at the four bunk beds that stood in the bedroom. "I borrowed this from Perkins at the office. Doesn't camp much anymore, poor fellow, he's got humbago."
He picked up the dusty kettle and peered inside it. "We'll need water. . . ."
"There's a tap marked on this map the Muggle gave us," said Ron, who had followed Harry and Celty inside the tent and seemed completely unimpressed by its extraordinary inner proportions. "It's on the other side of the field."
"Well, why don't you, Harry, Celty and Hermione go and get us some water then" - Mr. Weasley handed over the kettle and couple of saucepans - "and the rest of us will get some wood for a fire?"
"But we've got an oven," said Ron. "Why can't we just -"
"Ron, anti-Muggle security!" said Mr. Weasley, his face shining with anticipation. "When real Muggles camp, they cook on fires outdoors. I've seen them at it!"
After a quick tour of the girls' tent, which was slightly smaller then the boy's, Thought without the smell of cats.
Celty's pov
We carried some kettle's and saucepans. I pulled out some empty botttles.
Now, with the sun newly risen and the mist lifting, we could see the city of tents that stretched in every direction. We made our way slowly through the rows, staring eagerly around. It was only just dawning on me how many witches and wizards there must be in the world; I had never really thougt much about those in other countries. Even though I been to so many countries.
Our fellow campers were starting to wake up. First to stir were the families with small children; I had never seen witches and wizards this young before. A tiny boy no older then two was poking happily at a slug in the grass, which was swelling slowly to the size of a salami. As we drew level with him, his mother came hurrying out of the tent.
"How many times, Kevin? You dont - touch - Daddy's - wand - yecchh!"
She had trodden on the giant slug, which burst. Her scolding carried after us on the still air, mingling with the little boy's yells - "You bust slug! You bust slug!"
I couldn't help but to chuckle at that. Harry looked at me with a huge smile as will. We chuckled for a while.
A short way farther on. we saw two little witches, barely older then Keven, who were riding toy broomsticks that rose only high enough for the girls' toes to skim the dowy grass. A Ministry wizard had already spotted them; as he hurried past us muttered distactedly, "In broad daylight! Parents having a lie-in, I suppose -"
Here and there adult wizards and witches were emerging from their tents and starting to cook breakfast. some, with futive looks around them, conjured fires with their wands; others were strinking matches with dubious looks on their faces, as though sure this couldn't work. "Maybe they should teach the young one's at school how to act like a muggle, so things would be easier." I said and Harry, Ron, Hermione and those around us looked at me.
"Why you say that for?" Ron said to me. "It's not hard to learn. Beside some of the stuff they do is really fun." I said and Ron and Harry just shock their heads at me. Harry bumped me with his shoulder. Then he put his arm around my should like a brother would do to his little sister.
Three African wixards sat in serious conversation, all of them wearing long white robes and roastin a rabbit on a bright purple fire, while a group of middle aged American witches sat possiping happily beneath a spangled banner stretched between their tents that read: The Salem Witches' Institute. I caught snatches of conversation in strange languages from the inside of tents we passed, the tone of every single voice was excited.
"Er - is it my eyes, or has everything gone green?" said Ron.
It wasn't just Ron's eyes. We had walked into a patch of tents that were all covered with a thick growth of shamrocks, so that it looked as though small, oddly shaped hillocks had sprouted out of the earth. Grinning face could be seen under those that had their flaps open. Then, from behind us, we heard their names being called.
"Harry! Ron! Hermione!"
It must be one of their fellow students. He was sitting in front of his own shamrock-covered tent, with a sand-haired woman who had to be his mother.
"Like the decorations?" he said, grinning. "The Ministry's not too happy."
"Ah, why shouldn't we show our colors?" said the mother. "You should see what the Bulgarians have got dangling all cover their tents. You'll be supporting Ireland, of course?" said added eyeing us beadily. Her son looked at me. Before Harry and the others could speak he spoke up. "Who are you?" he said and Harry turned to look at me. "Sorry Seamus, this is my twin sister Celty." Harry said and I smiled at Seamus. Seamus mother had the look of shock on her face.
"You found her?" was all she could manage to say. I rubbed the back of my head. "Will I came back on my own. So now I'm back." I said with a smile. I can see Seamus's eyes running up and down my body. "You like what you see?" I said with a smirk. Seamus blushed a deep red and his mother smiled now as she looked at her son then me. "I. . .I. . ." he stamered as he looked down. "I take that as a huge yes. Your not bad looking your self." I said as I licked my lips.
I heard Harry growl softly beside me. "Thanks." Seamus said as he wouldn't look me in the face. But his eyes was glued to my chest. I chuckled softly. "See you around Seamus." I said before we started to walk again. "Like we'd say anything else surounded by that lot." Ron said as we moved on.
"I wonder what the Bulgarians have got dangling all over their tents?" said Hermione.
"Let's go and have a look," said Harry, pointing to a large patch of tents upfield, where the Bulgarian flag - white, green, and red - was fluttering in the breeze.
The tents here had not been bedecked with plant life, but each and every one of them had the same poster attacked to it, a poster of a very surly face with heavy black eyebrows. The picture was, of course, moving, but all it did was blink and scowl.
"Krum," said Ron quietly.
"What?" said Hermione and I.
"Krum!" said Ron. "Viktor Krum, the Blugarian Seeker!"
"He looks really grumpy." said Hermione, looking around at the many Krums blinking and scowling at us.
I couldn't help but to laugh at the way Hermione said that and the look on Ron's face as he stared at 'Mione.
"Really grumpy'?" Ron raised his eyes to the heavens. "Who cares what he looks like? He's unbelievable. He's really young too. Only just eighteen or something. He's a geniusi, you wait until tonight, you'll see." I smiled at Ron as we walked on.
There was already a small queue for the tap in the corner of the field. We joinged it, right behindwas a very old wizard who was wearing a long flowery nightgown. The other was cleary a Ministry wizard: he was holding out a pair of pinstriped trousers and almost crying with exasperation.
"Just put them on, Archie, there's a good chap. You can't walk around like that, the Muggle at the gate's already getting suspicious -"
"I bought this in a Muggle shop," said the old wizard stubbornly.
"Muggles wear them."
"Muggle women wear them, Archie, not the men, they wear these," said the Ministry wizard, and he brandished the pinstriped trousers.
"Yeah they really need a class at school that every one needs to take unless your muggle born. If you want out of it then you have to test out." I giggled at them as I watched Archie and the Ministry wizard.
"I'm not putting them on," said old Archie in indignation. "I like a healthy breeze 'round my privates, thanks."
Hermion was overcomed with such a strong fit of the giggles at this point that she had to duck out of the queue and only returned when Archie had collectd his water and moved away. I was giggling behind Harry and I had to put my face into Harry's back, so Archie and the others wouldn't hear me.
Walking more slowly now, because of the weight of the water, we made our way back throught the campsite. Here and there, Harry, Hermione and Ron saw more familiar faces: other Hogwarts students with their families. One of them is a boy named Oliver Wood, the old Captain to Harry's House Quidditch team, who had just left Hogwarts, dragged Harry over to his parents' tent to introduce him, and told him excitedly that he had just been signed to the Puddlemere United reserve team. Next we were hailed by a boy named Ernie Macmillan, a Hugglepuff fourth year, and a little farther on we saw Cho Chang, a very pretty girl who played Seeker on the Ravenclaw team. She waved and smiled at Harry, who slopped quite a lot of water down his front as he waved back. I can tell he has a thing for this pretty girl. More to stop Ron from smirking than anything, Harry hurriedly pointed out a large group of teenagers whom he had never seen before.
I smiled as I shook my head at him. Its funny really, he thought only Hogwarts is the only magic school.
"Who d'you reckon they are?" he said. "They don't go to Hogwarts, do they?" I had to hid my fit of giggles.
"'Spect they go to some foreign school," said Ron. "I know there are others. Never met anyone who went to one, though. Bill had a penfriend at a school in Brazil . . . this was years and years ago . . . and he wanted to go on an exchange trip but Mum and Dad couldn't afford it. His penfriend got all offended when he said he wasn't going and sent him a cursed hat. It made his ears shrivel up." I looked at the back of Ron's head with shock. I'm walking behind them. We laughed softly together.
"You've been ages," said George when we finally got back to the tents.
"Met a few people," said Ron, setting the water down. "You not got that fire started yet?"
"Dad's having fun with the matches," said Fred. I know they might look the same but their voice's is a little different and their scent's.
Mr. Weasley was having no success at all in lighting the fire, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Splintered matches littered the ground around him, but he looked as though he was having the time of his life.
"Oops!" he said as he managed to light a match and promptly dropped it in surprise. I smiled at him. It's a little cute seeing him having fun with the match's.
"Come here, Mr. Weasley," said 'Mione kindly, taking the box from him, and showing him how to do it properly. Dad, uncle Sirius and uncle Remus was getting the food ready and smiling at Mr. Weasley fondly. I went over to the small table and sat down to help them.
At last they got the fire lit, though it was at least another hour before it was hot enought to cook anything. There was plenty to watch while they waited, however. Our tents seemed to be pitched right alongside a kind of thoroughfare to the field, and Ministry members kept hurrying up and down it, greeting Mr. Weasley and dad cordially as they passed. Mr. Weasley is nice enough to kept up a running commentary, mainly for Hermione and mine benefit; his own children knew too much about the Ministry to be greatly interested.
"That was Cuthbert Mockridge, Head of the Goblin Liaison Office. . . . Here comes Gilbert Wimple; he's with the committee on Experimental Charms; he's had those horns for a while now. . . . Hello, Arnie . . . Arnold Peasegood, he's an Obliviator - member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, you know. . . .and that's Bode and Croaker . . . they're Unspeakables. . . ."
"They're what?"
"From the Department of Mysteries, top secret, no idea what they get up to. . . ."
At last, the fire was ready, and they had just started cooking eggs and sausages when Bill, Charlie, and Percy came strolling out of the woods toward us.
"Just Apparated, Dad," said Percy loudly. "Ah, excellent, lunch!"
We were halfway through their plates of eggs and sausages when Mr. Weasley jumped to his feet, waving and grinning at a man who was striding toward them. "Aha!" he said. "The man of the moment! Ludo!"
Ludo Bagman was easily the most noticeable person I had seen so far, even including old Archie in his flowered nightdress. He was wearing long Quidditch robes in thick horizontal stripes of bright yellow and black. An enormous picture of a wasp was splashed across his chest. He had the look of a powerfully built man gone slightly to seed; the robes were stretched tightly across a large belly he surely had not had in the days when he had played Quidditch for Englend. His nose was squashed (probable broken by a stray Bludger, I thougt. Mum told me a lot about it.), but his round blue eyes, short blond hair, and rosy complexion made him look like a very overgrown schoolboy.
"Ahoy there!" Bagman called happily. He was walking as though he had springs attached to the balls of his feet and plainly in a state of wild excitement.
"Arthur, old man." he puffed as he reached the campfire, "what a day, eh? What a day! Could we have asked for more perfect weather? A cloudless night coming . . . and hardly a hiccought in the arrangements. . . . Not much for me to do!"
I was messing with my Tarot Cards as they talked.
Behind him, a group of haggard-looking Ministry wizards rushed past, pointing at the distant evidence of some sort of a magical fire that was sending violet sparks twenty feet into the air.
Percy hurried forward with his hand outstretched. Apparently his disapproval of the way Ludo Bagman ran his department did not prevent him from wanting to make a good impression.
"Ah - yes," said Mr. Weasley, grinning, "this is my son Percy. He's just started at the Ministry - and this is Fred - no, George, sorry - that's Fred - Bill, Charlie, Ron - my daughter, Ginny - Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and his twin sister Celty Potter."
Bagman did the smallest of double take when he heard my name, and his eyes grew wide when he looked at me.
"Every one," Mr. Weasley continued as dad, Sirius and Remus was playing cards and not really listening in. "this is Ludo Bagman, you know who he is, it's thanks to him we've got such good tickets -"
Bagman beamed and waved his handas if to say it had been nothing.
"Fancy a flutter on the match, Arthur?" he said eagerly, jingling what seemed to be a large amount of gold in the pockets of his yellow-and-black robes. "I've already go Roddy Pontner betting me Bulgaria will score first - I offered him a odds, considering Ireland's front three are the strongest I've seen in years - and little Agatha Timms has put up half shares in her eel farm on a week-long match."
"Oh . . . go on then," said Mr. Weasley. "Let's see . . . a Galleon on Ireland to win?"
I was reading my cards and they said the twins will bet and win. I nodded my head as I looked at them.
"A Galleon?" Ludo Bagman looked slightly disappointed, but recovered himself. "Very well, very well . . . any other takers?"
"They're a bit young to be gambling." dad spoke up, then Mr. Weasley spoke next. "Molly wouldn't like -"
"We'll bet thirty-seven Galleons, fifteen Sickles, three Knuts." said Fred as he and George quickly pooled all their money, "that Ireland wins - but Viktor Krum gets the Snitch. Oh and we'll throw in a fake wand."
"You don't want to go showing Mr. Bagman rubbish like that -" Percy hissed, but Bagman didn't seem to think the wand was rubbish at all; on the contrary, his boyish face shone with excitement as he took it from Fred, and when the wand gave a loud squawk and turned into a rubber chicken, Bagman roared with laughter. I'm really good at Legilimency so I could see into the minds of others. I was four when I was able read the mind around me. When I was six when I learned that no one can keep me out of their minds. It came in handy and I can really mess up someone's mind.
"Excellent! I haven't seen one that convincing in years! I'd pay five Galleons for that!"
Normal pov
Percy froze in an attitude of stunned disapproval.
"Boys," said Mr. Weasley underhis breath. "I don't want you betting. . . . That's all your saving. . . . Your mother -"
"Don't be a spoilsport, Arthur!" boomed Ludo Bagman, rattling his pockets excitedly. Celty would bet but she know what Ludo is really doing. "They'er old enough to know what they want! You reckon Ireland will win but Krum'll get the Snitch? Not a chance, boys, not a changce. . . . I'll give you excellent odds on that one. . . . We'll add five Galleons for the funny wand, then, shall we. . . ."
Celty growled and every one turned to look at her. "If I would to bet I would have to go with Fred and George." Celty said as she was about to look into Ludo's plan. "Why would you?" Fred asked shocked to her Celty say that. They never really talked with her. "The cards are never wrong. You are right about it who and how." Celty said giving the Weasley twins a smirk. Fred smirk back at the sexy red head. "I like her." George said with a smile. "That's not really magic." Percy said in that tone. Celty looked at him with cold green eyes.
"This is how I channel my seer power. So I'm never wrong." Celty said and Percy gulped as he moved away from Celty. "If that is so what do you see about me?" said Ludo with a smile before sitting in front of her. Celty shuffled her cards. Then she pulled out the first card. This card shown a girl with a evil look in her black eyes and she is covered in blood. In her blood cover hand is a hoe made out of bone and also covered in blood and guts. Ludo's eyes grew wide and every one else is shock to see that.
"What does that one mean?" Ludo said softly to Celty. "It mean what you will reap what you sow. This one isn't the good kind of sowing." Celty said softly to him. "What do you mean?" said James to his daughter. "All the cards have two side's and to mean's. The good side is the better side then you have the other side the bad side. Like good and evil you can say. The choices we make can have a positive outcome or a negative outcome. This one is a negative outcome." Celty said before she filped another negative card. Ludo turned pale as this card shown a man being torn apart by animals. "This card stands for the ones you owe will get what they deserve. If they don't you will pay. Shall I go on?" Celty said and Ludo nodded as the last of the color drained out of his face.
Celty can see he's not going to change and she know's he's going to get what he sow. "That is rubbish." Percy said to Celty who shuffled her cards. Then she pulled one out and it was a lone girl with her back towards other people. "That is not surprising." Celty said and Percy looked at her. "What does that one mean?" Fred asked as he sat next to Celty. Celty looked at Fred. "This one means he will turn his back on family for his work," Celty said as she fliped another card this one made Celty feel sad.
This one has a two little children crying. "What about this one?" George said as he sat on the other side of Celty. "This one is he will regret it dearly." Celty said. "That's enough Celty." James said not believing what she is saying. No one in his or Lily's side has a seer. Celty looked up at him and saw something in there. "Ok. But its not a joke." she said before she started to put her cards away. "Of course its a joke." James said because he don't believe in that kind of thing.
Celty looked at him and her eyes held rage in them. James took a step back. Celty didn't say anything as she put her head phones over her ears and pulled out a book. The twin got up and went to do something. James talked with Sirius and Remus about Celty.
Before Ludo Bagman forgot he whipped out a notebook and quill and began jotting down the twins' names.
"Couldn't do me a brew, I suppose? I'm keeping a eye out for Barty Crouch. My Bulgarian opposite number's making difficulties, and I can't understand a word he's saying. Barty'll be able to sort it out. He speaks about a hundred and fifty languages."
"Mr. Crouch?" said Percy, suddenly perking up. "He Speaks over two hundred! Mermish and Gobbledegook and Troll. . . ."
"Anyone can speak Troll," said Fred dismissively. "All you have to do is point and grunt."
Percy threw Fred an extremely nasty look and stoked the fire vorously to bring the kettle back toto the boil.
"Po dyavolite!" Celty said and Ludo Bagman looked at her dumbfounded. "You can speak Bulgarian?" Ludo Bagman said with shock when he recovered from shock. "Da, da moga. Kakvo e za vas?" Celty said without looking up from her book. "James could I borrow her?" Ludo Bagman asked but Celty gave her father the most dirty look that he knew to while. Its the same look Lily give's him when she don't want to do something, but Celty's look is a lot more scarier.
"Sorry Ludo but Celty can't she's in trouble." James said and Celty look at him but didn't say antyhing. "Oh, ok." Ludo said disappointed. "She need's to learn not to lie." James said and Celty had to take a few deep breaths before she went off. Then something started to move up her shirt. Giggling softly every one looked at Celty just as a small head poke out of her shirt. Ginny screamed as the little black, red, and green snake came out of her shirt. "Ssssssebastian." Celty hissed to her little buddy as he wrapped his body around her right hand and arm.
"What is that?" asked Harry to his sister. Celty looked over at her brother. "This is my pet snake Sebastian." Celty said as she ran a finger down his head. Sebastian closed his eyes and hissed. That feels good mama. Sebastian hissed. "I wounder what he said." Hermione said as she looked at the snake. Sebastian hissed at her softly. "He said it feels good and I think he likes you. He does like the lady's after all.
