3rd Person POV
"Hmm...okay, not bad! Try jumping into a spin!" Nya suggested. She was out in the courtyard of the Monastery, with Seliel, teaching her Airjitzu. It was actually going really well! The ninja'd recently announced their team to be complete, and the fans were going crazy. Every morning they'd wake up to a mountain of fanmail at their doorstep. Soon breakfast turned into letter-replying sessions, and it was chaos. The good-ish kind.
The only problem were the girls. Nya, Skylor, Pixal and Seliel didn't seem to be as loved by the fans as much as the guys. There were the occasional hate-mail, as well as dragging up old news, such as the love triangle.
Then Cole peeked his head through the door, "Hey, any of you girls mind going into town? Sky's car's outta gas,"
"I'll go!" Nya volunteered, running inside. Seliel smirked as the raven haired girl returned shortly in her civilian clothes; a black and white striped tank top, skinny jeans with trainers and a black leather jacket, "Keep practising your Airjitzu!" she called out to the Phantom ninja as she descended down to the secret garage hidden within the mountain.
"Will do!" she called out, as she turned to her boyfriend. "Wanna play Fist-to-Face?" Seliel grinned as she grabbed Cole's hand and ran in, "Do I ever!"
With Nya...
As the water ninja rode down the busy streets on her motorbike, she quietly hummed to herself. Skylor was located just a couple roads down. She pulled up outside an alleyway, just next to the Noodle House, before jumping off and entering the restaurant.
She scanned the room, before finding the redhead scrolling through her phone. "Skylor!" she called out. The master of Amber looked up and her face broke into a grin, "Hey, Navee-Bear! Ready to go?" Nya smirked as she led Skylor out to her bike, as the orange ninja balanced a few takeout bags. "I got an extra tank of gas," she announced, pulling out a small canister. Going to Skylor's car, she opened the little door and filled the car up with petrol. Once she'd finished, she put the canister away, "Should be good to go!"
"Thanks!" She quickly ducked down, capturing Nya's lips with her own. The others (except a select few) didn't know of this, but the two were in a relationship. As the two girls went to their own vehicles and made their way back up to the Monastery, happiness flooding their system.
The next day...
The ninja were all headed to Dareth's dojo, as that was where they were filming their new film; The Ninja Way. Surprise, surprise, the girls were assigned to makeup. Since they were sorta all doing their own thing, this gave Nya and Skylor opportunities to sneak off together.
As filming finished for the day, the guys went to join the girls. Zane looked around, "Any of you seen Skylor? Or Nya?"
Seliel frowned, "They're right over- or they were right over there..."
"We're here!" Everyone turned to see the two girls walking up to them smiling, "We just went to the Boba cafe next door," Skylor explained
Lloyd chuckles, "Alright, please tell us before leaving next time,"
"You got it, greenie!"
However, Lloyd knew exactly where they were. As did Kai and Morro. They were the only three that knew of their relationship. As they walked out, they saw Gayle Gossip, standing outside the dojo as she gave the news. As the ninja passed by, people looked at them and whispered to each other. It was a common occurrence and the ninja decided to stay oblivious and ignore it.
Nya and Skylor were walking along behind the rest, so they could spend time with each other.
Then Jay turned to look at his friends, "Hey, why don't we let loose tonight and go to the amusement park? It's been ages since we last went, and we could all use a break!"
Everyone looked at each other, "I don't see why not," Skylor spoke up.
"Let's do it!" Seliel cheered. The ninja jumped in their vehicles and headed off east.
Once they'd arrived, they split ways. Cole and Seliel ran off to the biggest roller coaster, while Zane and Pixal decided to go on the boat rides. Kai, Morro and Jay went to the waltzer, whilst Lloyd went straight for the candy!
Nya and Skylor decided to go to the stalls, and win each other a prize. After several tries, Nya won Skylor a teddy bear and Skylor won a tub of cotton candy for them to share, as well as a stuffed panda for her girlfriend. As they walked along the paths, they finished the cotton candy and threw the bag away, before making their way to the Bounty to stash their prizes, before heading back.
Then Skylor tugged Nya's arm, "I need to go to the bathroom, can you wait here?" Her girlfriend nodded, and the master of amber quickly pressed a kiss on her cheek discreetly before heading to the ladies toilets. As Nya waited, she went on her phone.
"Oh, my, gosh!" Nya looked to see a girl around the age of 10 jumping up and down excitedly. Nya smiled, "Hi!"
The girl ran up to her, "I love you! You and your girlfriend are my role models!" she shouted, so loud, the whole park could hear, "Um...pardon?" Nya asks, panic rising inside,
"Yeah!" From the corner of her eye, she could see Skylor come out of the bathroom, and look around the park, trying to find her girlfriend.
"You heard me! You're a lesbian! My brother saw you kissing your girlfriend this afternoon, in the alleyway next to the dojo!" Nya's blood ran cold. That kid had just shouted that out, without even realising the commotion she'd caused until after her mother whisked her away. Nya looked up, as she saw her fellow teammates running towards her. She looked ahead, to see her girlfriend running towards her. The water ninja also ran, but a large crowd of paparazzi intercepted them and surrounded the young ninja, swarming with questions, along with some...not very nice remarks.
"Is it true?"
"Are you dating a woman?!"
"What is your sexuality?"
"Who is this other woman?"
"What sort of role model are you?! Do you see what example you are setting to younger girls?!"
"Who's your girlfriend?!"
"It's Skylor, isn't it! It makes sense! The other two girls have boyfriends!"
The paparazzi then proceeded to surround the master of amber and bombard her with questions,
"Are you the woman Nya was spotted with?!"
"How long have you two been dating!"
"Say something!"
Meanwhile, Kai, Lloyd and Morro were pushing through the crowds. Morro pushed the crowds away, but they kept rebounding, wanting more information. Cole and Seliel ran into the crowd, to help Morro, as did Jay, Zane and Pixal. "We're not answering any questions!" Morro shouted. Lloyd wrapped an arm around the stunned water ninja and led her away, Morro and Cole pushing the crowd back. Kai held Skylor tightly, shielding her from the paparazzi.
"Why didn't y'all say something?" a reporter questioned.
"Because we have a right to our privacy!" Seliel shouted furiously as she shoved several of them back.
Lloyd managed to grab Nya and the two hid in the ghost cart ride. Once they were sure they were alone, the green ninja turned to his best friend, "You alright?"
Nya shook her head, and Lloyd hugged her tightly, stroking her hair, "Those people are idiots," he insisted firmly.
"But..the other ninja, they didn't know, and I dunno how they'll react to it and-,"
"Sis, everyone loves you. They won't be mad, I promise you," he held out his pinkie, which Nya clasped with her own. Lloyd pulled her up to her feet, "Now, let's get outta here, I'll let the others know," he said, as he pulled his phone out.
Back with the others, Morro was creating a path for Kai and Skylor, "Go!" he yelled, "We'll take care of this!"
The two ran to the Bounty, to meet Nya and Lloyd there. The minute Nya laid eyes on her girlfriend, she jumped up and ran towards her, before attacking her into a tight hug, her legs wrapping around Skylor's waist. The master of amber wrapped her arms around the water ninja.
"Lloyd, get this Bounty moving on my command!" Kai ordered. Lloyd ran inside and started up the ship. Kai could see the rest of the ninja racing towards the Bounty, a swarm of people following close behind. They all used their Airjitzu (Pixal went with Zane) and landed on deck, except Seliel. She kept sprinting, as the Bounty hovered above the ground.
Jay placed his hands on the fence, "Come on, sis! You can do it!"
Seliel did it exactly the way she was taught; a run, into a layout, jumping 360 and she was flying!
The minute she touched the floor, Lloyd pulled the ship up into the air, and zoomed the heck outta there.
"Alright," started Cole, "You too have some explaining to do!"
The couple looked at each other, "We've been dating for almost a year," Skylor stated quietly.
"A year! And you're only telling us this now?!" Pixal yelped.
"We wanted to keep it to ourselves. Kai knew because he's my brother. I trust Lloyd with my life, for him to know, and Morro's also LGBT, so he helped us through this. We're sorry, and we get that you're mad-"
"Mad?" Seliel asked, "We're not mad! Yes, we are a little surprised, but you guys could've told us!"
"Did you not say anything because of the public, and how they're always up in our business?" Zane asked. Skylor nodded, wrapping an arm around her girlfriend's waist.
"Then, we'll stay out of the public eye, we'll do our missions, save Ninjago, but not interfere with the press, if that's what you want," Morro said softly.
"If it's alright for you guys too," Nya responded.
Everyone broke into a smile and swept the two girls up into a hug.
"Thank you," Skylor whispered.
"Don't mention it, we're family! And family stick together!" Lloyd stated firmly.
