Heyy everyone! 3 so this is the first fanfiction of many more to come one of my honestly favourite ships on Danganronpa and maybe even in general. Mondo x Chihiro (I know a lot of people include Taka too but idk I prefer just those too tbh) soo yeah, I hope you enjoy the first part and y'all have a great day!
It all started when a letter was slid under Mondo dormroom door. He was just lying in bed, thinking about how all of this could end in an instant for any of them. He didn't think anyone would commit a murder for the sake of the bear. Monokuma had really been playing with all of them, like marionettes on strings that he could cut off whenever he felt like it. Nothing more and nothing less.
He slowly stood up, still a bit shaky since his body had been weakened. He really should not have stayed in the Sauna with his clothes on, even if it were a challenge and he'd never back down from one. He bent down to pick up the letter and skipped through it quickly. The handwriting was distinctive, it was clearly written by a girl and the words used to write it seemed to be chosen very carefully as well, as he arrived at the end of the letter he finally discovered who'd sent it. As he did, he could feel a shiver go down his spine and he quickly slammed the door open to see if he could find any trace of them. But the only person in the hallway right now seemed to be Hifumi, who'd been making his way to the Trashroom. Especially after the entire situation with Sayaka and Leon he seemed to be paying a lot more attention to who entered the Trashroom.
Mondo decided to just give up for now and instead prepare for when he was going to meet them, he had about 2 hours left. He walked back into his room and held onto the wall for a moment, he had to rest for a bit if he wanted to be ready to workout with them later, but first he had to take a shower.
As he was rubbing some shampoo onto his soft hair, he could feel the hot water running down his back, the burns making him hiss in pain and his teeth clench. Some may say, he should have taken off his jacket, but he would never even have considered it, simply because it was the last thing Daiya had given him, before Mondo's hands had been tainted with the blood of his own brother.
The Ultimate Biker Gang Leader grabbed a towel as the steam from the shower started to evaporate. He quickly dried his hair with it and got dressed. He didn't use a blow dryer because he liked it when the wet tips of his hair tingled his skin. So, he just laid there, thinking about the motive Monokuma had given them, there was still one hour left until he was supposed to meet up with this person, so he thought he might just rest for a bit, maybe he could feel better afterwards.
He felt the scent of coconut lingering in the air and just relaxed, but his mind was racing. He couldn't just not think about how things could and most definitely would change If his secret were to be revealed to the entire world. Everything he and his brother had worked so hard for; it would all just go to waste... He opened his eyes and sat up straight, it could not happen! no one could find out what really happened to Daiya! That he was the one who had tainted his own hands in his brothers' blood. he felt as if Daiya was looking down at him right now, always there with the same smile he had on his lips the moment he held him in his arms for the last time.
Mondo stood up again, he tried to walk, but he could feel the pain with every step he took, weighing him down. He looked at himself in the mirror, this was not him, just a pathetic shell of himself, with wet eyes from salty crocodile tears. He was weak. Mondo grabbed a towel and roughly dried them off, looking at himself in the mirror once more. "real men, don't cry when they feel down, they smile to make others feel better." So, he looked up into the mirror and put on a wide toothy smile, with a bleeding heart deep inside.
:_.-._-Timeskip-_.-._:
"Fuck! I overslept!" Mondo jumped up, feeling just a tad bit better after he had dozed off, there was a bit of drool on the corner of his lip hanging on for dear life. He fixed his hair with a comb, got into his school uniform, brushed his teeth, and gave one last glance at himself in the mirror with a wide smile. He was kind of sceptical about this entire meeting, but there was a reason why he'd decided to go there, if someone else had written the letter, he might not even have considered going.
He ran up the stairs of the school building to the changing rooms, maybe just a bit out of breath. He stopped for a second, he had been trying to avoid getting seen by anyone, to at least seem like he was respecting the rules they had agreed upon. Even if this was technically the second time in a row that he did not give fuck now, he blushed the slightest bit and giggled as he approached the changing room for guys. Mondo pulled out his e-Handbook, let it hover over the scanner and entered. There were lots of tools and training equipment he could make use of, he should probably check this place out more often he thought, but the train of thoughts was quickly interrupted as he remembered the Motive Monokuma had given them. His secret and everything that came with it…
The smile Mondo had glued onto his face faded just as quickly as it had appeared. This was no game, what if nothing happened in the next 24 hours?! What if they all found out...he could not rely on one of these strangers to make the first move, he had to act himself, after all who could judge him for doing this!? He was going to do it for the sake of everyone else! Yeah! That's right, just a quick hit to the head and it would all be over!
No…it was wrong, and he knew it, he felt the weight of his brother in his arms, but as he looked down, he could only see a dumbbell tightly clutched in his fist. He let go of it, watching it as it slowly rolled towards the entrance door.
He had to relax for a second and so he decided to change into his swimsuit and just take a dip in the fresh water, after all, they'd decided to meet up in the pool area anyways, perhaps they'd already been waiting for him there. He quickly changed and opened the door that led to the pool. There was nothing but white walls and a huge pool, Asahina will probably go here every day. Perhaps he should himself, the cool water felt good and it made him relax, take a break from what was going on in his mind. He was diving deeper into the water and as he rose back up from it, their gazes met. The other person seemed reluctant, maybe even shy or frightened at first, so instead Mondo made the first step. He put on a wide toothy smile to make them feel more at ease and waved at them.
"Hey Chihiro!"
