Chapter One: The Hogwarts Express
Hey guys, just a quick disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter as that world belongs completely to JK Rowling. However, even though The Dragons were inspired by The Backstreet Boys, ninety-nine-point nine percent of these characters in this story are my own and I own all of the songs as well. Enjoy!
Aaron Michael Parker was now officially an adult wizard as he had just turned seventeen years old the previous month before and he was now getting ready to board The Hogwarts Express for his final year of magical education. He had light wavy brown hair, baby-blue eyes, skin as white as snow, and a glistening smile followed by a face that looked like it was carved by angels.
At least that's how it appeared to all of the teenage witches. This is what had drove his younger sister Bailey completely insane to no end. (She had his eyes but her hair was straight and dirty brown) For she was about to go into her third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and she was just plain tired of all of the attention that her older brother had been getting since even before she attended.
Although she loved her older brother very much and she knew that the feelings were mutual between them, sometimes she wished that she was an only child. However, she found it rather cool that they were both Gryffindors. "You know it is quite amazing that all of the girls drool all over you but yet you've never had a single girlfriend." She pointed out.
"Yeah, and you'll be lucky if you ever wind up getting a boyfriend." Aaron told her while narrowing his eyebrows and turning to glare at her in which she quickly turned her head around and did the same.
"Aaron Michael and Bailey Robin that's enough!" Their mother scolded them. "That's no way to start off the school year."
"Your mother's right Bailey,.. this is your brother's final year at Hogwarts and we want it to be completely special for him." Their father said.
"I don't care I'm so sick of him! All I ever hear is Aaron this and Aaron that! It's like you guys completely forgot that you have a daughter at all!" Bailey snapped before she turned around and started running towards the wall between platforms nine and ten with her cat carrier on top of her cart and her orange and white cat inside of it.
That's when suddenly Aaron heaved a sigh. "Bailey wait." He began but that's when suddenly she vanished. "Bailey!" He cried while pushing his cart after her and disappearing through the wall. "Bailey, look, I'm sorry." He began as he appeared beside her and placed a comforting hand on top of her shoulder.
"It's alright Aaron, it isn't your fault." She began before heaving a sad sigh and turning her head over to look at him. "You aren't the one asking for all of this attention." She said as he smiled rather warmly and lovingly at her.
"Come on, we better find a seat before we miss the train. Tell you what, you can even sit with me and the guys this time." He told her but she simply just eyed him suspiciously and placed her hands upon her hips.
"Even with Ginger?" She questioned him with uncertainty as Aaron heaved an even heavier sigh. He never really got along with her cat because she had always been going after their black Labradoodle named Skipper.
"Alright, fine." He replied reluctantly before they both boarded the train together and Aaron found the compartment with his three other friends inside of it. One of them had rather short light-blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a rather long nose. Another boy had light-black hair with blackish and brownish eyes and tanned skin. The final boy had wavy dark-blonde hair, dark-blue eyes and peached skin.
"Hey guys, there's somebody I want you to meet." Aaron began with a grin as he pushed open the door and led Bailey inside.
"Hey what's going on here what is your kid sister doing here?" The wavy blonde-haired boy questioned him.
"Derek this is Bailey Parker and her cat Ginger. They're coming to sit with us today." Aaron began. "Bailey this is Derek Dodger, Justin Long, and Rickie Lake. They're a few of my best friends at Hogwarts." He explained while looking over at the other blonde-haired boy (Justin) and the black -haired boy (Rickie) as he said their names.
"Nice to meet you." Bailey said as she smiled at them and then sat down in-between Aaron and Derek taking Ginger out of her carrier and setting her down on top of her lap when suddenly Derek began to sneeze.
"Uh,.. uh,.. uh-oh." Derek said with another sneeze as his eyes got all puffy and red and he let out a sniff.
"Derek, you never told me that you were allergic to cats." Aaron said.
"That's because I never knew. My father is exactly the same way. He's allergic to both cats and dogs. So we've never had any pets around our house before." He explained.
"So why not get an owl or a toad?" Bailey wondered.
"Both of Derek's parents are muggles and they're not really accustomed to wizarding pets." Aaron told her when suddenly the trolley lady passed by their compartment.
"Anything from the trolley boys and miss?" She questioned them.
"Sure, we'll take the lot." Aaron replied while taking out a whole collection of galleons and sickles out of his pocket.
"Why is it that purebloods are always so filthy stinking rich?" Justin wondered.
"Umm,.. hey Justin, you've only known me for how long?" Derek questioned him back. "I'm a muggleborn and I also just happen to be one of the riches kids in school." He boasted.
"Good. That means that you can use some of your money to go buy yourself a clue." Bailey told him as Justin chuckled and gave her a high-five.
"Hey I like you and I think that you and I are in the same year. Other than the fact that you're a Gryffindor and I'm a Ravenclaw it sure seems like we have a lot in common." He told her as she smiled back at him.
"Thanks." Bailey replied with a grin before they started eating their sweets together and the trolley lady continued on her way.
