Kim Possible: The Sitch Of Summer: Shorts
Chapter 3: Talk With Family
Shego had just finished her last summer school teaching job of the day and was just walking into the apartment that she and Drew had bought recently. Since they decided to retire from villainy, they decided to get a nicer place to sleep after they abandoned the lair. Luckily, the money they were making after Drew and Hank reopened the cupcake store made that easy. After she took her coat off and hung it up, she heard her cell phone ring.
"Hello?" she said as she answered her phone.
"Hey, Shego, I just wanted to check up on you," said a voice coming from the other end.
"Oh, hello, Hego," said Shego who recognized the caller.
After Shego retired from villainy, she decided to go to Go City and apologize to her brothers. Since then, Shego and her brothers have been keeping in touch.
"How are you?" asked Shego.
"Oh, things have never been better," said Hego, "Things have been pretty quiet here in Go City. And the fast food business at Bueno Nacho is still going smoothly."
"That's good," said Shego, "How are Mego and the twins?"
"Oh, they are doing pretty good for themselves too," replied Hego, "We still keep Go City safe from any villain that may try to threaten it, but there haven't been many villain problems since we dealt with Aviarius, Electronique and the Mathter.
"Well, there are still plenty of villain problems here," said Shego with a chuckle, "Nothing we can't handle though."
""I'm sure," said Hego with a chuckle, "So, how are things with you and, uh, what was his name, Doctor, uh-"
"His name is Drew Lipsky, Hego and he's not a mad scientist anymore," Shego groaned.
"Oh, right, uh, sorry, Shego," said Hego.
"It's ok," said Shego as she went to sit down on the couch, "And things are actually going great. After Drew and Hank reopened the cupcake shop we've been getting enough money to make our lives a whole lot easier."
"That sounds great, Shego," said Hego, "And how are Kim and Ron? Have you been getting along with them, ok?"
"Yeah, actually, me and Kimmie and Ronster have been getting along a whole lot better," answered Shego, "We actually help them out with their little "sitches" occasionally."
"That sounds good," said Hego, "And how's the new teaching job at Kim's old high school?"
"I'm actually doing pretty good with that," replied Shego, "These summer school kids are actually doing ok and as long as they keep doing better, they should graduate in no time."
"Yeah, I'm sure the students you've been teaching at Kim's high school have been a little more cooperative than that one person who you were hired to school in the ways of villainy," said Hego.
"Ugh, don't remind me," groaned Shego, "Junior eventually started to be cooperative save for when his dad kept interrupting us. Now I actually have to be cautious when he's around with his insane girlfriend."
"Yeah, I've heard about how dangerous Kim's high school rival turned evil enemy has been getting," said Hego, "I'm sure she wouldn't be able to stand a chance against Team Go though," Hego added, sounding proud.
"Ugh, Hego, you don't understand," said Shego, "This girl is a lot more evil than even I was. Even before she became a villain, according to Kimmie. Kidnapping all of us and trying to destroy us with an army of robots and/or turning us into mind controlled servants. I'm so glad she's in jail again. I just hope that she doesn't escape again."
"Well, I'm sure that even if she does escape you and Kim and the rest of her friends can handle her," said Hego reassuringly.
"Here's hoping," said Shego.
"You know, Shego," said Hego, "I know you've made up your mind about not coming back to the team, but sometimes we still really wish you would come back. It's just not the same without you."
Shego sighed, "I know, Hego. But I've got a new life now. A new boyfriend, a new home, a new job. I'm happy here in Middleton. Don't worry, I'll make sure to come visit you guys every once in a while."
"I understand, Shego," said Hego.
"Um, Hego," said Shego nervously, "I know I've said this before, but "I'm really sorry about what I did after we defeated Aviarius."
"Look, Shego. You know me and the rest of your brothers have already forgiven you for that," said Hego with a sympathetic voice, "And I just want you to know that if you do ever want to come back to the team, we will accept you with open arms."
Shego smiled warmly, "Thanks, Hego."
