Sarah hugged her family before boarding on a 10 hour flight to France.

"Be safe princess, we will miss you" her father squeezed her tight and smiled at her

"Always daddy, i'll call you when I land. I love you so much. Bye Tobes, I'll see you next year!" Sarah reluctantly let go of her brother and father then went into Karen's arms.

"You will meet your soulmate in no time, for now, just enjoy the experience, we will be thinking of you" Karen kissed her cheek and handed her her suitcase

"You always know what to say. Bye guys love you all!"

Sarah waved goodbye and walked away from her smiling family to start a new adventure. On the flight she dreamt of floating crystals, dancing figures in masks, and He Who Shall Not Be Thought Of singing in her ear. She thought about what Paris would be like, who she would meet, if she would meet The One.

She looked out the window and saw the Eiffel Tower standing tall and proud. She saw different people, the cars, the view was mesmerizing. She hopped up and down in her seat giddy with anticipation.

The flight landed with flying colors. Sarah hopped into a waiting taxi to head to her apartments. On the way there, there were motorcyclists driving by with their lovers behind them hanging on tight. Couples walking down the street holding hands, some leaning against alleys kissing each other. Sarah sighed and smiled, dreaming of her future like that.

"monsieur, vous pouvez vous garer ici, merci pour le trajet" Sarah said to the taxi driver

Sir you can pull over here, thank you for the ride

She decided she would walk the last few blocks to her place to take in all the beauty. The river next to her was breathtaking. She ran to the edge of the wall and looked into it. There were little fish and birds trying to hunt. There was a man playing the accordion singing Le Festin to what appeared to be his husband by the way they were sitting close and the other kissing his cheek. Sarah smiled and walked away headed to her new home. She loved France. She loved Paris. This was home and she hadn't even been here for a full day.

When she walked into her apartment she saw her new roommate, Abrielle tending to the plants around the flat. Abrielle was tall and slim with blonde hair cascading down her back. She was any man's dream, except for the fact she found her soulmate and was off the market.

"salut! I'm Sarah votre nouveau colocataire! C'est si agréable de vous rencontrer"

Hi! I'm Sarah, your new roommate! It's so nice to meet you!

"Oui bonjour! Je t'attendais! vous savez que je parle bien anglais?" Abrielle stuck out her hand to shake Sarah's and was impressed that Sarah's french was on par

Yes hello! I've been expecting you! You do know that I speak english correct?

Sarah chuckled a little bit at Abrielle's comment "Yes I know you do, I was just hoping to practice French a little more to improve"

"Well there is more time for that later! That's why you're here! New rule! As soon as you step foot into this threshold, NO FRENCH! We will only speak English!" Abrielle put one hand on her hip and the other she stuck into the air in a fist in a type of victory pose

Sarah had a feeling they would become close friends very fast.

"You must be exhausted! It's 3am! Get some rest! We have classes tomorrow, I will wake you when it's time to head out." Abrielle went to push Sarah out into her own bedroom with suitcase in hand until Sarah stopped her.

"Wait, tell me what it was like when you and your soulmate first locked eyes?"

"If you insist. I was 19 years young. Salvador was 23. I was on a trip with some girlfriends in Italy. We went to this adorable little bistro called 'Mi Scuzi' When the waiter showed up and brought over some water for us, we locked eyes. Salvador nearly dropped the whole tray. I was in such a state of shock I almost fainted. Everything is so vivid. All the colors were beautiful. He was beautiful. In his eyes, I've never seen anything like it. There were so many shades of brown in his eyes. I was transfixed. He is the best thing to happen to me. I'm lucky to have found him. I go back to Italy by the end of the week to spend the fall with him. It's grape season out there! Now, off to bed with you!" Abrielle stood up and shooed Sarah into her bedroom

Sarah went back to her room and went to sleep with so many questions on her mind. She didn't have any sweet dreams or any dreams at all.
