Sarah gasped as he looked right at her into her eyes. The second they locked eyes the whole world changed around them. There were hues of yellows, reds, purples, colors she couldn't even name. Colors she didn't even believe existed. Then his eyes, oh his eyes. They were the most beautiful things she has ever seen. They reminded her of the crystals he offered her that contained her dreams. One pupil was more dilated than the other which she found intriguing. Her daze was cut short when he started talking in french. She turned into her notebook and started taking notes. They'd lock eyes for a second and he'd stop talking for a brief moment to look at her then went back into his lesson. After a short while, the bell rang signaling that class was over. Sarah stayed seated waiting for every last student to trickle out of the room before approaching the Goblin King who somehow managed to be her french professor

. "Jareth what the hell just happened? How are you here? Why are you here? Why are you a FRENCH PROFESSOR?! IN FRANCE?! WHAT THE HELL?!" Sarah started to get angier the more she thought about the situation. "AND IF YOU ARE MY SOULMATE HOW HAVE WE NOT SEEN COLOR BEFORE!?"

"Precious, do calm down. You know the rules about soulmates. We both have to be at least 18 before we see color. As for me being a professor at the university, I used to go to school here. They offered me a position out here and I took it. I didn't know you were coming to France so don't be presumptuous. I'm not sure how you feel about this soulmate situation but me? I'm happy this happened. No one has beaten my labyrinth before. No one has put me in my place except for you. I've been drawn to you when you were younger hearing all your stories and your dreams. I'm drawn to you now as a woman, a woman who is afraid to wish because she knows that it will be granted. A woman who is beautiful and smart. You have a fire in you that I see in no other. I'm not saying let's get married but how about we try and see what happens?"

Sarah was shocked. Her jaw dropped. She'd been drawn to him but also afraid of him which is why she dare not wish. Expect for the only wish she made, which was her wishing she knew her soulmate. "Alright how about we take this slow? We can start off as friends." 'Friends who are destined to be soulmates. Like that's gonna be a piece of cake... Kinda like how the last time I said that, I almost got run over by the cleaners.' Sarah thought to herself. "Okay Jareth, tell me about yourself. How did you become Goblin King?"

Jareth put his hands behind him and leaned against the desk with a mischievous smirk. "I was defiant, stubborn, and didn't want to listen to the tutors. I was supposed to be the High King of the fae but I hated it. I used to sneak around and travel to the Labyrinth, playing with lonely goblins and taking care of them, memorizing the pathways, and I became close to Sir Didymus too. I loved teasing Hedgewart which is why he thinks I'm a rat now. I loved the Labyrinth so much, I couldn't have left it behind. I stepped down from the throne and became the Goblin King. The Labyrinth is thriving now, children are adopted to other Fae families. Now, I teach little girls who think my Labyrinth is a 'piece of cake' as she called it that not everything is as it seems." Jareth winked at Sarah and Sarah couldn't help but give a light laugh. "Now Precious tell me about your family. How is little Toby?"

"Toby is good! He is 7 now. Linda and I are getting along very well, and Daddy is retiring next year from his Lawyer business. My biological mother and I don't talk anymore. Her and Jeremy moved to Dubai for her acting career. Life is really good right now. I'm happy." Sarah looked away at the clock and saw it was 12:59. It had been like that for a while now. Class ended at 12:45 and they had been talking about their lives for at least an hour and a half. "Jareth, did you reorder time for me again?" She smiled at him and tucked her hair behind her ear

"Well darling, I couldn't have let you be late for your next class and I was having such a good time talking with you. Until next time Sarah. Make sure your essay is on my desk by the end of the week, don't defy me" Jareth went to lead her out the door and they locked eyes again. He was lost in her emerald eyes, full of hope, full of secret wishes he was determined to grant her. When he went to open the door, she tripped over her own feet and Jareth caught her right before she hit the ground. "I thought we agreed not to fall for each other just yet, precious?" Sarah looked up at him in wonder, lost in his crystal like eyes. Her mouth became suddenly dry when she saw his eyes dart down to her lips. She licked her lips and felt his body tense. She was lost in the moment before she was broken from her spell by standing upright again. "Be safe, don't trip again, I may not be there to catch you."

"Thank you Jareth. By the way, I had a really good time talking to you. Let's do it again Friday, over lunch." and with that Sarah walked away shutting the door behind her

"As you wish you precious thing." Jareth slumped in the chair closest to him and thought about those lips. He had to maintain all his self control to not kiss her right then and there. If he wanted to do this right, he had to take this at her pace. Let her call the shots. He looked at his hands, his clothes, the color around the room. It was beautiful. He couldn't wait to see his home in all its glory in color. Sarah was a distraction in his lesson today. Jareth wasn't expecting her to be there. He saw the boy next to her try to kiss her hand and try to distract her from the lessons. Unfortunately for the poor lad, she already seemed distracted. 'How you turn my world you precious thing' and with that thought, he poofed outside his flat by the Eiffel Tower.
