Chapter Eleven: Big Time
"Alright, so you have the potion now what happens?" Bailey wondered.
"Well I drink it and then time literally stops in this castle for everybody except my close friends and family." He told her.
"Alright Aaron good luck, and I just hope that you know what you're doing." She told him.
"Yeah, me too." He replied before unscrewing the cork and tilted his head back and opened his mouth and started to drink.
"So, what does it taste like?" She wondered.
"Surprisingly enough like Kool-Aid." He told her after he finished drinking it and then wiped his mouth on the sleeve of his robes. That's when suddenly there came a great big sonic boom and a blast of blue light that wound up knocking both Aaron and sister off their feet and onto the ground.
"Whoa!" Bailey exclaimed. "What was that?" She wondered while slowly getting back up to her feet along with Aaron.
"I'm not sure." Aaron began. "Hopefully it worked though." He finished as Bailey started walking back towards the doors of the Great Hall.
"Well, we'll know in a second." She told him before pushing open the doors and sure enough nearly everybody was frozen inside, and the room was dead silent. That's when suddenly Aaron and Bailey turned to look at each other and grinned.
"Perfect!" They cried out together before giving each other a high-five.
"Now we can do whatever we want and the spell won't wear off until I drink the antidote." Aaron said with a grin.
"Yes and I'm going to go find Susie and explain what's going on as I'm sure that she's really rather confused right now." Bailey said before she started walking away from him.
"I'm sure that's a safe bet." Aaron said before continuing to grin.
Bailey managed to talk to Susie and she promised that she would send her folks an owl for the speedy spices. That's when suddenly Aaron and the rest of his friends gathered inside the Great Hall.
"So while we're waiting, what are we going to do now?" Rickie wondered as Aaron and Derek just simply looked at each other and exchanged grins.
"Whoa,…" They said together before Aaron climbed up on top of the table and started to sing.
"Oh we've got time on our side,.. so let's take a ride,.. to a place where the sun always shines!" He belted out before Derek climbed up on top of the table a crossed from him and started to sing as well.
"To a place where diamonds and gold,.. and all riches untold are falling from the sky!" Derek sung before they started to sing and dance together on top of the tables that they were standing on.
"Cause we're headed to the big time!" They sung together.
"Oh yeah!" Derek exclaimed in song.
"Always going to be sunshine!" They sung out together.
"Yeah, yeah!" Aaron cried out in song.
"Always going to be just fine!" They sung together.
"Oh yeah!" Derek chimed in.
"Never gonna run out of time!" They harmonized.
"Oh no!" Aaron sung. "Oh the world is our diamond mine,.." he began.
"Cause we're headed for the big time!" The other boys finished for him in song as they climbed up on top of the table and started dancing as well while they sang. "Yeah we're headed for the big time! Yeah we're headed for the big time! Yeah we're headed for the big time!" They sung together before Rickie started rapping.
"Oh yeah here we come and here we go! There ain't no stopping us now, we own the spotlight and steal the show! True magic is pure talent and hard work, for if you've got the heart and finish what you start, then you're on the road and on your way, to where the sun always shines and every day is a great day." He rapped before all four of them started singing and dancing together once again.
"Cause we're headed for the big time!" They sung.
"Oh yeah!" Aaron belted.
"Always going to be sunshine!" Justin sang.
"Yeah, yeah!" Derek harmonized.
"Always going to be just fine!" Derek belted.
"Oh yeah!" Rickie exclaimed.
"Never gonna run out of time!" Derek sang.
"Oh no!" Justin cried out in song.
"The world is our diamond mine,.. cause we're headed for the big time!" Aaron sung.
"Oh give me a B-I-G and a T-I-M-E, it'll be one hell of a ride and we'll be doing just fine one top of our game in the big time!" Rickie rapped before finishing out the chorus together.
"Cause we're headed for the big time!" The other boys finished for him in song as they climbed up on top of the table and started dancing as well while they sang. "Yeah we're headed for the big time! Yeah we're headed for the big time! Yeah we're headed for the big time!"
"Oh the big time baby!" Rickie sang before all four boys turned to look at each other since this had been the first time that they had all performed together.
"Yes!" All of them exclaimed together before turning to give each other a high-five.
"Well this is it guys, we're officially superstars in training." Aaron said with a rather large grin.
"Yeah, now if only we knew what to call ourselves." Justin said while scratching his head but Aaron just simply brushed the thought off with a wave of his hand.
"Oh don't worry about that we'll start thinking about that later." He began. "However, I do think I know what kind of costumes we're going to wear though. My little sister Bailey is quite the artist and designer and she was kind of enough to allow me to show you some of her work." He told them before holding up the picture that she had drawn of the boys dressed in brightly red colored outfits with dragonhide gloves.
"Hey you know," Justin began while pointing at the picture. "That sort of reminds me of a dragon. Cause it's mostly red but it's got a little bit of black in it. Not to mention the gloves are also dragonhide as well." He said as Aaron simply just smiled at him and slightly nodded.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Well dragons are my favorite creatures anyways." He replied.
"Mine too." Derek said in agreement.
"Well,.. I don't know about you guys but I think we were just as hot as the breath of a fire-breathing dragon." Rickie said and that's when all of them suddenly exchanged knowing glances.
"Well Justin, I think that just answered your question as it seems to be unanimous." Aaron began. "From this moment on we will forever be known as,.."
"The Dragons!" They all cried out together in response while placing all of their hands on top of each other in the center of the room and then breaking the hold.
