NOTE: Junior still has his powers, but he just has t 'unlock' them, so to speak. Also, this was written before Chi or Aku came in, so Mimi and Chi will be either ex-girlfriends, or not have been together.
anyway, to the story!
Chapter 3
Danny looked at the thing that just introduced itself as Nergal. He stared for a second, before he heard Nergal speak again. "Your powers may have been stolen, but that is not your fault." He muttered something like 'Poor Junior' or something, Danny wasn't sure. Nergal turned to Danny, before speaking again.
"Listen to me, young ghost. You listen well! Right now you are within the realms of an alternate dreamworld. This is a place where only dreams , memories, visions, and premonitions exist. While you are here the world outside stands perfectly still. Time has no meaning. I am no more than a projected representation of the real Nergal, implanted within the minds and souls of every Nergal Demon.
"We are within the core of a portion of a young Nergal Demon's very existence. Their soul itself. I am here to help guide you through the task that lies ahead."
Danny nodded, following Nergal as he walked away from his desk and over to a set of screens floating a bit away from the platform they were on.
"This is a bit of an unusual circumstance in that you were not directly given your powers, but rather, they were taken from a Nergal Demon and forced into your body. The offering of the right eye, as it would usually be done, is a rather substantial gesture among my, and now your, people. The offering of the right eye signifies the transfer of one's power to another."
An image of a Nergal demon and a man appeared on one of the screens, with the demon on the ground holding an eye in an outstretched hand, extending it towards the man.
"When a Nergal Demon is close to death, it will search out a host, and offer up it's right eye. This acts as a sort of symbiote, where the dying creature offers all of it's power up to another. Should the host accept, a rather extreme trandformation will begin, and the host will begin to unlock access to the power inherent to a Nergal Demon. The host will thereafter become a demon themselves, and this is the stage where we find ourselves right now. You will soon experience all of the memories of the Nergal Demon up until the point where they offered up this power."
The picture then changed to the demon dying, falling with little 'X's over their eyes as the man began to change shape. He began to glow witha green light, as some sort of green energy flowed out of the demon and into the man.
"Seeing as how this is a special case, you will be able to recall everything up until the point where the powers of this demon were taken. I do have to say though, I do think that you are a suitable candidate for these powers. Your sheer force of will is a good match for the mindset I have always associated with a Nergal Demon. The passing on of a Nergal Demon's power, memories, and experiences is symbolic of our will to survive, and also lets us keep memories that bind us all together."
Nergal got rid of the image on the screen of the demon and man, instead pulling up images of two people. There was a young blonde girl who was on the left, and the skeletal boy who Danny and Mimi had fought in Halloween Town.
"These powers of yours originated in this girl, and were passed to her brother, who you see on the right. You now have the combined life experiences of both of them. It will be a bit like watching a movie that has been sped up. You will not gain any skills out of this, so much as just insights into who they are, or were."
Nergal sat back and watched while Danny learned about the lives of the two siblings, who he learned were named Junior and MiniMandy, or Minnie as she prefered.

Danny groaned, holding his head as he sat up from the bed. He swung his legs over the bed, sliding off and letting his feet hot the hard stone floor. He looked around, taking note of the reddish-black stone everything seemed to be made of. He stood up, and let out a yelp when he shot up and hit his head on the ceiling. He floated back down carefully, rubbing his head, and shifted back to his human form.
'Wait. Back to my hu-'
Danny looked down at himself, as two rings of light swept down his body. The rings had an outer edge of red, while still maintaining their glowing white center. Danny shifted back to his ghost form, searching for that inner cold he always had to think about. He gasped when he felt himself change just as he began to even think about veing a ghost, and backed up a little bit. Looking down at his gloves, he gaped when he saw that his gloves had changed. He still had white gloves, but now there was black spikes at each knuckle. Danny raised his hand, shooting a bolt of ice at the nearby wall. He cut off the flow of power directly afterwards, however, when he saw ice coat that entire side of the room. Walking towards the ice, he saw his refection in the glass-like material.
He still had the iconic 'DP' emblem on his chest, but it was neon green, not white. His jumpsuit was also gone, replaced by a robe that was joined together at his neck with a clasp. The clasp itself was a dark blood red stone, and glowed with an inner light. His emblem was situated on the left side of his chest, the green contrasting with the black robe around him. Unclasping the robe and letting it fall away, Danny saw a variation of his old jumpsuit, but it had been modified. Following the gloves, he had light shoulderguards that would prevent him from getting injured, but still allow mobility. He also had a series of interlocking metal plates over his legs and torso, small enough that they woul allow him to move, but if he stood still, would overlap and protect him.
He also felt a weight on his back, and reaching behind him, felt something strapped between his shoulderblades. Pulling it off of his back, he moved it into his field of vision. It was a pole of some sort, and it felt almost... hungry. Channeling a bit of ecto-energy into it as though he was going to shoot an ectoblast, Danny felt the staff thrum beneath his fingers. An ethereal blade shimmered into existence at the top of the staff-now-scythe, while Danny felt power flood through the device. Releasing the flow of power, the blade slid back into the staff, and the thrum of power beneath his fingers ceased. Slipping the blade onto his back once again, Danny donned the robe and cloak again, and pulled the hood up over his head.
Not really surprised at this point, Danny took note that the metal made no noise when it slid against the other metal plates on his armor. There also seemed to be tendrils of power that slid off of him and just drifted lazily around him. Focusing on one of them, he heard a voice in his head whisper 'Nergal Demon'. Flexing his arm while focusing on the tendril, the black tendril became thicker and gainer a more defined form. It now was like a long black tentacle. Thinking of making it leave from where someone would see it, Danny felt the tendril and several others like it wrap themselves around eachother and then around his waist. Smirking to himself, he looked at himself in the mirror again and had to stare when he saw himself.
'Is that really me?' he thought, seeing the imposing figure shrouded in darkness
Leaving the room, he found himself within visual distance of the arena and office from earlier. Lifting off of the ground carefully, now aware of his boost in power, Danny thought of where to go, eventually deciding on the office, and shooting over. Harry was about to enter, when he felt a pulling sensation to his left. Looking where he felt the pull, he saw a fire burning in a brazier on the path up to where he had just flown. Holding out a hand, Danny tried to force the flames to obey his will.
Smirking as he did so, he pulled flames from the brazier over to him and began to throw a ball of flame around like it was a toy. Stopping before he got carried away, Danny let go of the flames, and let them flow back into the brazier as though they were water. FInally entering Him's office, he stepped towards the demonic being in front of him.
"Ah, Daniel. You have awoken. How are you enjoying your new abilities? All satisfactory, I hope?" Him asked, while grinning sinisterly.
"Yes, they are." Danny replied.
"Good. I had hoped you would survive the procedure." Him said, while motioning Danny over to the window that looked out over the lava pits of his domain.
"I have a mission for you. I am sending Mimi after something, and you shall do the same." Him said, peaking Danny's interest.
"I'm listening." The halfa said.
"So tell me, what do you know about the Infimap?"

Jeff sighed as he looked on, his cage preventing him from interfering in the preceedings in front of him. Mimi had been all but forced to go off on an impossible venture, and now the boy he had hoped would avoid Him's influence, was doing exactly the opposite.
'I'm sorry, Dad. I honestly tried, but I guess you were right. I am evil, if couldn't stop Mimi from going dark, and now Danny too.' Jeff thought morbidly.

Mimi rubbed away tears as she scaled the walls leading up to Castle Grim. She knew what was at stake, and she would NOT let Jeff down. He was all she had left of who she was, even if she didn't remember who that girl is. It was because of her that they had gotten into this mess, and so she had to fix it. Rubbing another tear away, she started climbing faster, intent on saving Jeff.

Chi sighed in boredom as she sat on her bed, her head hanging off the edge while she ignored whatever it was that Demo was saying.
"-nd furthermore, you should..." Demo said, slowing when he looked at her.
Floating so he was right in front of her face, he gave her a look full of annoyance.
"Your not even listening to me, are you?" Demo said, despite knowing the answer to the question already.
"What do you think Mimi is doing? She isnt responding to any of my texts? Should I visit? Should I call? Should I ask my father to invade for our love, like those old human legends I read about in that one book?
Demo sighed, thinking over the consequences if he were to just ask Lord Aku to execute him rather than deal with the unholy terror that was babysitting his daughter.

Grim walked into the medical ward at Castle Grim, and looked immediately to where Junior and Minnie were. Minnie had woken earlier in the night, weak, but conscious. Junior still hadn't woken, and until he did, no one could really know what happened to him.
"Father? Has there been any notification from the healers or mystics as to what has happened to mine brother? I fear for him, for he has yet to emerge from the clutch of Morpheus." Minnie said.
After deciphering what she meant, mentally translating it to, 'Do we know what happened, and is Junior ok?', he responded.
"No, Minnie. 'Dere is still no word on de cause of dis ting." he said, while beginning to rethink the language lessons they had paid for Minnie to take.
The pair turned towards the young reaper in the bed, each praying to gods they knew weren't real for the life of their sibling or son.
