"Jar- this is beautiful. It's like a dream. Everything I've wanted in a view like 's perfect, How did you know?" She was brought back to her childhood playing in the park near her old home. Simpler times when she only had to figure out what her next imaginary adventure was. Now she's in a whole new ballpark.

Jareth rested his head against her and breathed in her scent. Lavender and sunshine. He didn't think there was a smell that was sweeter than Sarah. "Precious I'm so glad you love it, I found it this morning and knew this was where I had to take you. Come on, let's go eat."

Jareth led her to the blanket and sat next to her. She was beaming inside and out, and her eyes were glowing brighter than everything around them. She peered inside the basket and was disappointed to find every fruit known to man, except for peaches. "No peaches?" Sarah took a few raspberries and popped them into her mouth, God damn were they good.

"No peaches. I figured after our first encounter, you'd like to avoid them." Jareth saw her lick the red juice dripping from her fingers and had to look away before he started to drool.

"I actually love peaches. Even more so after I ran." Sarah thought back on how when she was 18 she ate a whole basket of peaches in hope to find one to take her back to the Labyrinth. After Merlin passed away, she fell into a hole of depression for a year and wanted to escape reality.

"Well next time I will make sure there are peaches for you. I have a present for you." Jareth conjured another crystal and handed it out to her.

"If I turn it this way will it show me my dreams?" Sarah giggled by her little joke which brought a smirk to Jareth's face.

"No, but it will provide you safety for whenever you are out and about. I heard about that insolent boy who tried touching you. To make sure that doesn't happen again, carry this around with you and should you need me, just call and it will take you to me no matter where I'm at."

Sarah's jaw dropped, It was the best gift someone could have offered her.. Except for the fact that it was a giant crystal ball. "Jareth I love it! Thank you. However, I can't exactly carry a big crystal ball around me at all times."

Jareth transformed the crystal into a beautiful crystal ring. The band was wire and the color of Jareth's eyes. Inside the center, was the crystal smaller and being hugged by the wire. Sarah gasped and placed the new piece of jewelry on her left hand in her middle finger. Jareth noticed and felt his heart swell with adoration. They spent the rest of the day chatting and snacking on fruit. She told him fairytales under the willow tree until the sun was setting. They both looked up from their positions and saw the sun sit just above the canal. Both Sarah and Jareth's breaths hitched in their throats at the view.

"I will never get over seeing all these colors. It's so new. So beautiful. I love it. Thank you Jareth."

"Sarah, I'm not the one who you should be thanking. This is a team effort. It's both of us. You are extraordinary my dear. You never cease to take my breath away." Jareth looked down at Sarah through his glasses and saw her gazing up at him

Slowly she reached up and took off his glasses. She caressed his face in both hands and he started to close his eyes. "No don't. I want to look at them" He opened his eyes again and they darkened with a fire she has never seen before. Sarah studied his face and eyes for a few more minutes and took a deep breath. "You are so beautiful. It's like you're not even real. Like one day you'll slip from my grasp and never have existed. I know that's something that friends aren't supposed to say to each other but I can't help but tell you how I feel. "

"Precious, I am right here. I'm not going anywhere. But on that note, it's getting late and we have to get you home safe and sound." Jareth kissed her forehead and helped her stand up. He took them back to the bridge in a comfortable silence. He was content with this. They were more than friends but he would go at her pace. "Would you like me to walk you home?"

"No thanks, but before I forget, here." Sarah reached in her bag and pulled out her essay that was due. "You said you wanted it by the end of the week."

"Thank you precious. Should you need me.." Jareth trailed off while he kissed where the ring sat on her hand.

"I'll call." Sarah walked home enjoying the city streets at night. There was music all around her and she felt like she could fly. She felt like she was in one of her dreams.
