CONGRATULATIONS! THIS STORY IS THE WINNER OF THE POLL! I am finally back (hopefully for real this time). I saw some of your reviews and PM's, and there are too many of you to thank for the numerous shows of support. I was astounded to see over 250 people had voted on this just 24 hours after posting the poll, and I have to say, I never expected such an overwhelming response. I am blown away, and humbled by just how many of you read my stories. A special thanks and shout-out to a few people who sent me PM's, Reviews, or that know me in real life that really touched me:

But enough about that. Now to what you are all REALLY here for!

By the way, Harry is portrayed as smarter than Hermione at times, or reacts better, because he is better when he is put on the spot. Hermione is better when she has had time to plan things out and prepare herself. In terms of it all, Harry is better at impromptu things, while Hermione is the one who plans everything meticulously.

ON TO THE STORY (FINALLY) !

Harry ran down a side alley, dodging bullets while cursing his poor luck. Hehad ducked out of the small medical facility where the two Asari were being treated because he had wanted to do something other than just wait for news. He hadn't been walking for more than a few minutes when he had been beset by several Batarians. He had been forced to run through several back-alleys and had gotten lost about half an hour ago. He hadn't managed to apparate away because whenever he tried, he realized he was being watched byseveral people in buildings around him.

Harry had no idea if the wizarding world still existed, and if they did, if they were out here in space. He didn't want to risk bringing their ire down on him until he knew for sure that he would be able to weather an attack from them. He had ultimately been forced into running for his life, and was beginning to tire. Harry made a quick turn to the right, and came to a halt. he had hit a dead end. Harry sighed, and turned to face the oncoming Batarians. As soon as he saw them, he concentrated on manipulating his magic while gesturing with his hands toward the Batarians. He grinned when he saw the navy blue color of biotics appear in front of the Batarians. He used his fake biotics to create a blackhole like how he had seen in Aria's memories, and soon caught all of the Batarians in the singularity.

He walked toward them, picking up a discarded gun, and let one Batarian fall to the ground. He pulled up the wretch, and brought him so he was staring into his eyes. With a quick legilimency scan, Harry soon realized that the Batarians had been sent in retaliation for he and Hermione's attack on the warehouse. Harry's eyes widened when he realized that Hermione was in danger, and let the group of Batarians fall. No longer caring about the Statute of secrecy, he pushed the Batarian he had grabbed on to the pile of squirming bodies. He swatted his hand towards the air in front of him, materializing a ball of magic that was, in essence, a magical grenade. Harry tossed it in to the group, stepping back, and winced when he heard the crack of a bone snapping. He had to turn away, the magic in the grenade pulling all of them together and breaking several bones until there was just a blob of Batarian in fron of him, despite them all being still alive. Harry let the tie between his magic and the grenade slip away, causing the batarians to be disintegrated as the ball of magic discharged itself into their bodies.

Harry slumped against the wall, heaving in breaths of air as he felt magic rushing back into his system, before regaining his composture and leaving the alley. He cast a notice-me-not charm on himself and apparated away, reappearing in front of the medical facility where Hermione had been. He slipped into the room and sighed in relief, seeing Hermione still there, despite looking worried. He let the charm fall, and saw Hermione's eyes snap towards him. He quickly explained the situation, gulping down a few glasses of water. He finally finished, and got up, glancing out of the window in the front of the room. He groaned when he saw several Batarians that were heavily armed making their way towards their location from several directions.

Hermione caught on, and began to weave together protections that would ensure that the building wasn't damaged. She had just finished when the door was kicked down. Hermione threw her hand out, causing the Batarian who had kicked the door in to go limp, before collapsing. Harry followed suit, but when he threw his hands outward toward the doors, spikes shot out of the ground, impaling the Batarians outside. He quickly withdrew the spikes, allowing the corpses to fall to the ground, before he walked forward, hauling up the Batarian that Hermione had dealt with. He turned the batarian's gun into a portkey, sending him into an inner chamber in Harry's trunk. At that point Luna decided to pop up in front of them, projecting herself onto their optical nerve so that to Harry and Hermione, she was in the room with them.

Harry grinned at her, realizing what she did, while Hermione gaped like a fish, before coming to her senses, recognizing what Harry had already realized. She still managed to not speak aloud to Luna, realizing that no one else would see her, but decided to strike up a conversation.

'Luna? Should we be worried as to where you have been the past few days? We haven't seen you in our mindscapes...'. Hermione said in her mind, directing the question to Luna.

The blonde witch just giggled, before saying, 'Well, I have just been exploring my mindscape, and I got a bit lost while I was chasing the Crumple-Horned-Snorkacks, and before I knew it, it had been a few days.'

Hermione sighed, shaking her head, and left her mindscape, trying to ignore Luna frolicking around the room while chasing a strange creature that Hermione assumed was a Crumple-Horned-Snorkack. She turned toward Harry, who was just grinning and glared at him, irritated that he found her being annoyed funny. He just grinned wider, leading her to growl at him.

"Prat."

He just continued grinning, too amused to care that he would probably be sleeping on the metaphorical couch for the night.

The doctors finally cleared the two Asari and declared them to be healthy, and the quartet began to make their way back to Afterlife. Harry and Hermione had discussed what to do with the two Asari, and had decided to try to convince Aria to set the two up with some type of recovery program. Harry and Hermione led a much too active lifestyle for them to be able to take care of the two of them, as well as keep them safe and out of the trouble that followed the pair wherever they went.

Once they were back at Afterlife, Harry and Hermione saw Villaestrus Kyril looking impatient and made their way over to him.

"About time you two showed up. I was about to-" he began to say, but was stopped when Hermione silenced him. Physically. With her fist.

She glared at the downed Turian, who had an indignant look on his face. Harry pulled Hermione back a little bit, subtly casting some privacy charms, causing the rest of the nightclub to return to whatever it was that they were doing. He let the Turian get up, before letting Hermione go, and quickly speaking before she could hit him again.

"I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to get hit again. Why don't we sit down and discuss what we found in your warehouse." Harry said, an edge to his voice.

The Turian fixed his glare on Harry, then looked back to Hermione, before spinning on his heel and leading them to a booth within running distance of the doors, but that must have been a coincidence.

As soon as they were all seated, Harry immediately projected an image of the two asari above the table, passing off the illusion as a function of an omni-tool. Kyril, if possible, paled before he began to speak.

"I specifically paid you to eliminate the mercenaries that had taken over my warehouse. I did not pay you to snoop about in things that do not concern you!" he said, anger tinging his voice.

He was cut off from continuing his tirade when Harry spoke, while Hermione cast an illusion over the booth.

Villaestrus could hardly believe these two humans. He had thought that they were professional enough to not intrude on his business. Now he had to deal with an angry batarian who wanted a pair of asari twins. He was about to continue berating the two of them when he saw the man began to speak.

"I do not, and will never condone any sort of slavery. You are lucky to be alive."

Kyril growled, his anger enflamed because of this human in front of him, and how he was acting. Kyril slipped a Carnifax Hand Cannon into his hand, slowly lifting it up to fire, when he saw the face of the man ripple, like water.

That stopped him dead in his tracks, and he paused. Kyril watched in horror as the skin melted away to reveal scales, and the luminous green eyes began to turn red. Kyril was about to pull up his gun to fire, when he felt something that wasn't his gun in his hand. He shakily pulled his hand up, and dropped the Turian hand on the table, as he openly shook with fear. The man, no Devil, in front of him smiled, as Kyril hurriedly tried to leave, but his legs would not move. Kyril finally managed to exit the booth, only to fall through the floor into a bed of flame, searing his flesh. Kyril screamed, his nerves flaring up as he began to feel his skin being burned away.

He felt his life flash before his eyes, and finally let himself go limp, giving in to the pain. He shut his eyes, and gave himself to death, and then he couldn't feel the fire anymore.

Villaestrus opened his eyes, and started slightly when he saw the table, and the two humans across from him. Kyril thanked any gods there were that he had ever heard of, and cut off the man as he was about to speak. He didn't see Hermione smirking.

Harry managed not to grin when he guessed Hermione'e plan after a second, and played dumb when the Turian opened his eyes, terror and pain rapidly disappearing. He looked right into Harry's eyes, starting to say something. Harry never gave him the chance, plunging into his mind, quickly hitting some key nerve centers in the Turian's brain to lock down any movement to his limbs, ensuring all he could do was look around..

Harry was no legilimancer of poor skill, but he lacked any and all subtlety when he did it. The Turian twitched, the pain increasing the longer Harry was in his mind. Harry quickly ran through the memories he found pertaining to the man's business ventures. He took any and all memories that gave them access to areas or stocks they would otherwise not have, and also took his knowledge of the Turian language, as well as one dialect of asari and the knowledge of how the criminal underworld of Omega worked.

He retreated from Kyril's mind, and threw a hasty blood boiling curse at the Turian. He and Hermione got up, Harry leaving the privacy charms up with a timer to fall after a half an hour, 20 minutes after the curse should have killed Kyril.

The duo left Afterlife, raiding any and all warehouses Kyril had, shrinking and storing EVERYTHING inside to be cataloged later. They finished with five minutes to spare, having cleaned out all 3 warehouses, and finally apparated back to Afterlife. They met Aria and let her lead the two of them back to her seat of power, privacy charms and notice-me-not charms being thrown up once they arrived at their destination.

After briefing Aria on what had happened, they began to plan how to best take advantage of their new assets and ill-gotten gains.

I know this is a short chapter, but I have a massive plot point planned that will take a whole chapter to flesh out. For now, I don't want to be leaving off half done or make this chapter so long that I don't have any new material for the next one. I am finally back, so I hope to be able to continue updating these stories for all of you.
