She headed home to her apartment and saw a note on her door. She opened it and smiled, heading back downstairs.

meet me in my room. you know the rule.

Before Sarah could knock on the door, the door flung open and he wrapped her up in a hug. "Hello Precious. How was your day?"

"It was alright. It could have been better had we not been interrupted" Sarah smiled up at him and undid the tie around his neck.

"Well, I do apologize for that, I was hoping to ravish you sooner rather than later."

"Don't be sorry. You have a job before romance. You know that. Focus on that first." Sarah placed her bag down on the door along with her shoes and sat on the couch. She patted the seat next to hers and he followed.

"That reminds me, Sarah. You have to focus. As much as I enjoyed your teasing, your studies come first. Before we do anything I would like to do, we need to review what you didn't listen to in class. If you lose focus again, you'll have to change classes. Your studies are too important." Jareth lectured her and he snapped his fingers bringing her her notebook and pen. "Now let's begin…." Sarah and Jareth reviewed today's lesson until she was all caught up. They shared dinner that consisted of cheeseburgers and fries. They laughed together and played games until their stomachs hurt. Jareth pulled her in close and he kissed her slowly. She tasted like potatoes and ketchup but that was okay. "Sarah, spend the night with me tonight. Not sex or anything. Just a fun sleepover. Getting to know each other more, playing games, and watching movies." Jareth held her close and stroked her hair. He enjoyed her company. She made him smile and he felt so happy around her.

"I'd like that. I have an idea, let's learn the names of all the colors. Can you conjure up a card game to help us learn?" Sarah wanted to know what the name of the color Jareth's eyes were. Of course she knew the names of colors but she couldn't put the color to the name.

"I think that's a great idea." Jareth summoned a deck of color flash cards meant for children. They played with the cards until they had every color memorized by name. It didn't take very long for them to figure it out but they decided to make it interesting. For every question Jareth and Sarah both got correct, they got to kiss each other until they were breathless. This really sparked up some interest and now they were determined to get every color correct. "Let's up the stakes, what color is that pillow on the chair?" Jareth pointed to where he was talking about and looked at Sarah.

"Yellow. Now how about that glass in front of us?" Sarah leaned in close to him and waited for his answer.

"Correct, and that would be green. Like your eyes." Jareth kissed her eyelids, down her nose, eventually landing on her lips in a slow, lazy, kiss.

Sarah started to giggle uncontrollably. "Sarah, what on Earth is so funny?" Jareth raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms.

"I was thinking about how after I kissed Hoggle on the cheek, we got sent to the bog of eternal stench, and I wondered if we would get sent there. I thought about you falling into the pit nose first!" Sarah couldn't help but laugh even harder as she was explaining her reasoning to him.

"I'll tell you what would happen if we were to be sent into the bog,," He launched himself above her and started tickling her ribs while she shrieked and started laughing even harder. "I'd stick your head under the water making your hair reek of death. Then I'd magic myself clean and leave you to suffer in stench with Hogsnose!"

Sarah gasped and swatted his arm while laughing. "It's Hoggle! You're incorrigible! You'd leave us to rot!"

"Sarah dear, you just assaulted a king. That is punishable by bogging. You could sway me to change my mind however." He looked down at her grinning like a fox.

"Oh your sparkly kinglyness, please spare your one true soulmate the pain and hurt of being bogged. I'll do anything you ask!" Sarah gripped his arms and looked up at him giving her best puppy dog eyes.

"Very well my dear, but as punishment, you have to go put the movie tape in the VCR for us and fetch us the wine!" He kissed her nose and got off of her to sit back on the loveseat. "And take off those pants! There are rules!"

"Rules are meant to be broken Jareth!" Sarah shrieked from the kitchen when she felt a breeze on her legs. When she looked down, her pants were missing and she was only in his shirt. "You bastard! I ought to smack the glitter off of you!" She appeared with a wine bottle, two glasses, and a copy of The Breakfast Club.

"Use your right words Precious. If you keep insulting a king, it may get you in a lot of trouble." He poured them a glass of wine and held her when she rejoined him on the couch.

"Jareth, I don't live in the Underground. YOU are not my king. I can say whatever I want so there." Sarah stuck her tongue out at him and focused on the movie. "Now shh and watch this with me."

Jareth chuckled and snuggled her closer to him. They watched the movie in a comfortable silence. By the time The Breakfast Club ended, Sarah was knocked out on the couch drooling on his chest. He picked her up bridal style and she woke up a little bit. Just enough for her to realize she's moving and to mumble incoherent words.

"Look at Kingy taking care of me." She tried talking to him but it came out more of a slur of mumbo jumbo.

He took them to his bed and tucked her in. She laid her head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her waist. They both fell asleep with little smiles on their faces and dreams of valentine evenings.
