I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Mentions of abuse, neglect and murder.

She is Josephina Ignis, granddaughter of Martin Ignis one of Rome's strongest general. She is fiery and headstrong. Little scares her. She has a talent for weapons and tactics. Her family said it is a pity she isn't a boy. She could have brought great honor to her family on the battlefield. In a way that is a good thing since she has powerful magic. Magic is considered a woman's tool. Her magic was powerful enough for her to go to Greece to study magic under Hecate's priestesses. She returns to Rome permanently when she is 18 after studying for 10 years. There are talks of her marriage to her childhood friend, Titus. However not long after they are engaged, a rebellion by a power-hungry senator attacked the city. She returns from visiting one of her mother's friend's home with her younger sister, Selena to find her family's manor raided. Magnus, her eldest and favorite cousin, shoves a magically expanded pouch full of supplies into her hands and a gladius. He tells her that their grandparents and parents were dead. She screams that he is lying and insist that he is lying and that she is going to checked on them herself. He stops her by showing her the Head of Family ring, their grandfather's ring, which was enchanted to go to the heir when he died. If Magnus has it, then their grandfather and fathers were dead. Marcus shoves the Heir ring at her mother and tells her to take her daughters and run. He will hold the soldiers off.

Her mother takes her and Selena and run. The last image of Magnus she will have for many years to come is of him facing countless enemies. She uses her magic and hair to create golems of herself, her mother and Selena. The golems scatter in every direction. This throws the soldiers long enough off their trail longer enough for them to reach the docks. At the docks numerous soldiers were posted. To lure them away, her mother takes two golems onto a separate ship. Before she can board however, she was caught and killed on the spot. She covers Selena's eyes even as her own was locked onto her mother's dead body. The Heir ring appears on her finger. Her mother's death causes her magic to seal itself up. She is powerless when not long after they landed in Egypt, they are captured and brought to the palace as slaves. Selena and she are assigned to work in the gardens. It was nice. She had always love gardening despite it being inappropriate for a Lady. It was interesting seeing how the Egyptian gardens were different from the ones in Rome.

Two years passes in the blink of an eye. Life as a slave wasn't that bad. As long as she does her work, she is fed and ensure a warm place to sleep. Selena and she made friends among the other slaves. She starts to heal from her mother's death and her family's destruction. Her magic starts to manifest itself again. She is able to do small spells. Then Selena is chosen to be the high priest Seth's little brother's personal slave. She is furious and scared for her sister's safety and wellbeing. Selena assures her that she knows Mokuba and he won't abuse her. They have meet multiple times before. She didn't have long to worry about Selena as not long afterwards she is chosen to be high priest Seth's personal slave. She is not happy to say the least because Seth is a cold, arrogant man. The two of them argue fiercely, yet somehow, she starts to fall in love with him. Which was really bad for her for multiple reasons since she is a slave and if he orders she will have to love him, or Selena would be at risk. She needs to stay pure for her family's honor and her future husband. She couldn't risk having anything hinders her return to Rome. Magnus was still alive. Her Heir ring, (which she wears around her neck and checks every night), tells her that. Sooner or later she and Selena will have to escape to return to Rome and help rebuild the Ignis family.

A year passes and Zorc attacks. The Pharaoh, his court and the prince all fought against him. Her magic releases itself fully when she and Yugi (the prince's personal slave) is attacked by a worm like Shadow creature. It burst out of her burning the Shadow creature to ashes. The reemerging magic causes her to collapse and sleep for days. When her eyes open again, it is to Selena's anxious and relieved face. She explains to the Pharaoh and the priests their past and how her magic had been surpassed by her grief. She is recruited to fight against Zorc. Seth and her fought side by side. During this time, she gets inklings that Seth like her. Her own feelings toward him deepens. After Zorc is sealed, she receives a message from Magnus ordering her and Selena to returned.

She is conflicted. She wants to stay with Seth. She didn't want to leave him. She knows that Selena wants to stay with Mokuba too. She is so confused. If she goes back to Rome, she can help rebuild her family's status and marry Seth. But if she does, Seth may marry another when she is gone. Her decision is made for her when she walks into Seth's chambers and saw him kissing a noblewoman. She slips out, tears in her eyes. She runs, not paying attention to where she is going. She didn't see a wall collapsing on her until it was too late. Fortunately, her reflexes kick in and she manages to avoid getting injured beyond a broken leg and arm. Her body was covered in some bruises and scratches. She uses her magic to heal her injuries but had to stay under the rubble for hours. During this time, she used her magic to create a golem in her image. She cuts off her hair to place on the golem and drips her blood to give the golem more lifelike injuries. She positions the golem so it would look like it got crushed by the rubble. She turns her body invisible and mediates until the rubble is removed. While everyone was busy with the golem, she hides until Selena is alone.

She gives Selena a fright when she reappears. She tells Selena what happened and give Selena the chance to stay in Egypt or come with her to Rome. Selena choose to go with her to Rome. In the middle of the night, she changed into her dragon form and fly towards the docks. Using the money that Magnus had shoved into her hands, she and Selena paid for their passage on the first ship back to Rome. Her homecoming after more than three long years is bittersweet.

She keeps busy helping Magnus rebuild their family and status. She becomes one of the Emperor's guardian mages in the new Court of Elements. There are 6 of them, Fire. Water, Earth, Air, Light and Dark. Her duties often send her to all corners of Rome and to other countries. She is a warrior and espionage expert. She serves for 5 years as the Guardian of Fire before marrying her best friend Marina Aqua's elder brother, Marcus to form an alliance between their families.

The Aqua family welcomes her. Marcus is good to her. He loves her a great deal, and she loves him. He helps balance her out. He never cheats on her and never restricts her when she wants to continue her work as a Guardian. She gives him twins, a boy and a girl. She and Marcus are parts of their children's life as much as could be. They make sure that their children know they are loved.

When her twins are 10, the entire court is cursed by a rogue witch. She wanted eternal youth and immortality and had slaughter entire villages for it. The entire court had to work together to bring her in. She and the other Guardians had to drain her magic, before they could kill her. As they did so, the witch cursed them with her last shreds of magic

"You are all so proud of your beauty." It can't be denied that every member of the Court of Elements is beautiful or handsome, due to their noble heritage. "But your beauty will fade. The country you fought so hard to protect will fall. You will all grow old but won't die. You will be forced to watch as everything you hold dear dies." The witches insane laugh was the first thing to scare her in years.

The curse wasn't that hard to redirect. Lucius (Guardian of Light) is a prodigy at spell crafting. Cornelia (Guardian of darkness) was an expert on curses. The witch didn't have that much magic left. She also didn't know much about magic besides the magic to keep herself young. It was easy to remove the curse on their bodies. They could die, but their souls will live on. No one know what exactly that meant. She dies fighting off pirates at the Ignis estate, not long after her daughter takes her place as the Guardian of Fire. Her last thoughts were not of her husband, her children or her family and friends, but of Seth. It was only then she realizes that no matter how much she loved Marcus; she never stops loving Seth.

She is Jocasto in Greece. Not that it matters what her name is, her mother dies in childbirth with her. Her father is abusive and neglectful. She runs away when her father tries to marry her to a widow twice her age. Her memories as Josephina returns when her feet carry her to the temple where she trained to master her magic. When she saw the ruins, she collapses to the ground. The implication of everything hit her. The curse by that rogue witch had been modified so that their souls will always remember their past lives. As she feels her will broke down and her malnourished body die, she realizes two things. Family is not always about blood, and she is going to be alone. Her family and friends in each life would all die, and only memories would remain. She dies with tears in her eyes.

She is Shadya in Egypt. Her family are merchants. They are good to her. She is loved by her family. When she starts showing signs of magic, her parents are thrilled and sent her to her uncle in Alexandria to study. She studies fire magic and combat magic as a tribute to be an Ignis. She is considered a prodigy since she has access to her memories of training. It is fascinating seeing how Egyptian magic differs from Greek and Roman magic. She meets Shu or Caelius, the Guardian of Air. The fact that he remembers his past life help soothes her heart. It means that even though she may never meet them, the other Guardians are still out there. She meets her husband, Ahmes through him. They work together following the path of the gods, her Horus and him, Khonsu. His family were impressed with her talent in magic. They agree to a marriage between Ahmes and her. She has five children, thankful with healing magic from the House of Life they all survive until adulthood. It is the first time she has an active interest in healing. She retires as a combat magician to raise her children.

When her two eldest daughters were married and her son in training as a magician, her former homeland, Rome make its way to her new birth country. One of Egyptian's rulers, Cleopatra, has an affair with the general Julius Caesar. She didn't pay too much attention to the details because she was too busy protecting her children from chaos. Eventually Cleopatra become the sole ruler. Egypt and Rome remain on good terms thanks mainly to Cleopatra. However, it was unlikely that it would remain for long. She is kept busy with securing the knowledge of the Library of Alexandria. She helps hides its knowledge by making copies of scrolls and placing them in vaults underground. The diviners have predicted conquest of Alexandria by Rome. She and Shu closed their heart to their memories as Roman civilians. The lesson she learns in this life is that she had to live in the present and learned from the past. She can't let her past memories control her. She lost her married daughters to Roman soldiers. The rest of her children are saved when her family went underground with the House of Life. She spends the rest of her life helping to create an underground city for the House of Life and hiding the knowledge in the Library of Alexandria.

She is Cecilia Aquilinus in Rome. Her father was a jeweler. She had two older brothers and a younger sister. Her place in the family is good. She is skilled at drawing and helps her father designs pieces. She is good at music and skilled at running a household, thanks in part to her life as Josephina. Her mother teaches her other skills such as weaving and cooking. This life is the time when she meets all the other Guardians again. Just like the witch said they witness the fall of Rome due to corruption and invaders. They are powerless to stop it. She dies before she can marry, due to an invader's arrow striking her in the heart during an attack.

She is Anastasia Popov in Russia. Her parents lived from an illness that was going around when she was five. Her childless aunt and uncle took her in. The illness left her body severely weak. She eventually recovers her strength but is weaker than most people. It is a good thing sewing and embroidering doesn't require much strength. Her aunt runs a clothing store. She enjoys helping especially in the winter, since she can't stand the cold weather. In summer she loves to go into the woods and gather edible plants. Her uncle teaches her everything he knows. The people in the little town are kind to her, knowing about her weak body. She marries a general shop owner and merges her aunt and uncle's clothing store together with his. She loves her husband. She knew he want children. So, despite what the doctor's warnings, she got pregnant. The birth of their son weakens her body and she die no longer after his first birthday.

She is Johanna Brandt in Germany. Her parents own a candy store. She has one elder brother and younger sister. Her family is happy. She learns to make all sorts of candy and how to run a store. She marries her childhood friend, Paul Becker. Their family ran a bakery and was close friends with hers. She has four children, two boys and two girls. Her children were doted upon by their parents. She dies naturally two years after her husband. This was one of the best lives she ever had.

She is Li Qin in the Middle Kingdom or China. Her family are silk weavers. She and her sisters are considered inferior to her brothers because she is a boy. However, her family still fed and clothe her. Her mother taught her and her sisters to weave silk. She feeds the baby worms with mulberry leaves. Her elder sister is the best at this. She knows just what to do to ensure the baby worms grow to be the best. They help steams the cocoons to kill the moth. Then, they rinsed the cocoons to loosen the threads. The cocoon is unwoven and the fiber spin together into thread. She learns to weave the cloth. Her favorite part is weaving the cloth. She loves to sing as she works. Her mother jokes that the reason of her fine cloth and patterns is because she enchants it with her song. She protests that it is because singing helps her keep the rhythm. She marries the son of one of the richest families in the area. Her husband likes her well enough especially since she gives him three sons and a daughter. She teaches her daughter how to weave and embroider. Her husbands and sons were always the best dressed in the village. She dies not long after her first grandson is born.

She is Jaya in the Mughal empire. Her family sold her and her younger sister, Salena to a noble when they were 6 and 4 respectively. Fortunately, she was good at music and singing., Salena is good figuring out what look best on people. She spends 12 years honing her skill in the arts and conversation. Eventually she is gifted to the emperor and joins his harem. She is disgusted by the number of women in it. To survive, she plays dumb (a favorite strategy of hers) and swallow her pride to beg the Padshah Begum for help. Fortunately, the Padshah Begum was smart and kind. In exchange for her help in uncovering plots against her, she and Salena lived in peace. With the number of women in the harem, she only sleeps with the emperor once. She and Salena enjoy the luxuries of the harem. She maintains a good relationship with the Padshah Begum often playing music for her and her children. Vidya or Cornelia, the Guardian of Dark is there too. The two of them exchange information on their past lives. It was here she learns that Cornelia have meet the other Guardians in her past two lives. She realizes that while the 6 of them may never all be together, at least they would meet one another every life. She dies peacefully in her sleep.

She is Juliana Apurinã in Brazil. Her village is small. Everyone makes enough to live. She is raised by her grandparents because her parents could only afford to raise one child and that is her younger brother. Her grandmother is a herbalist. She teaches her everything she knows. She meets Faunus, Guardian of Earth or Miguel. The two of them attends Castelobruxo together. She went on to become a healer. Eventually she marries a man she heals. He is a merchant who exports plants, both magical and nonmagical. She has homes in both Brazil and Portugal, but her main home is on the ships with her husband. She never has children but dotes on her nieces and nephews.

She is Jacalyn Whiting in France. Her family are barons. She learns ballet from her favorite aunt Madeline, her father's sister, who dotes on her more than her own parents. Her parents were focused more on her younger brother, their heir. Madeline persuades them to let her live with her, when she starts showing signs of accidental magic. Her parents didn't approve of her magic. Madeleine, who was a witch herself, said it was because her brother didn't have magic and was envious. She attends Beauxbatons. During this time, she attends a lecture from Alexandra Baillieu who lectures on how magic occurs when the soul triggers it in a body. All souls contain magic. Some bodies contain the potential for magic. When a soul went into such a body, a witch or wizard is born. The strength of a wizard's core is determined by other factors in the body such as family. If the body isn't suited for magic, then the body won't have any magic. It makes sense to her. Her various bodies didn't always have magic. At most, she has a few sparks she can conducted through her music or arts to make them more intriguing. Her body is stronger than normal. That is how she survive the plague as Anastasia Popov.

She graduates at the top of her class and keep on studying ballet with her aunt. Eventually, she grows good enough to dance at the courts. She caught the eye of a Vicomte and marries him. He has multiple lovers, but that was fine since they weren't in love. They were best friends from Beauxbatons. He just needed to marry someone to avoid an arranged marriage, much like her. Since he lets her have lovers too, it was fine. She never does, but it is the thought that counts. Ballet and her traumatized younger sister, Sarina dominated her life. Sarina had magic too, but their parents had forced her to surpass it. Their father had beaten her every time she displayed magic. The fact that his only son didn't have magic while his two worthless daughters did make him nearly kill Sarina. She dotes on her husband's nephew, his heir.

She is Olivia Carling in Sweden. She is born to a magical family in a peaceful village. The village doesn't stay peaceful. When she was 11, her family's magic is revealed. The villagers burned her parents at the stake and killed her 3-year old brother. She barely escaped with her 9-year old sister. Her sister is permanently crippled. She makes a home in the mountains. Her memories of magic were the only thing that enable them to survive. Eventually they are found by another magical family who takes them in. Like her they had lost family members to the witch hunts. She smiles bitterly and in relief as the news of the International Statute of Secrecy being pass reaches her. She never marries, dedicating her life to helping to hide magic and caring for her sister.

She is Joanna Willow in Brooklyn. She and her younger sister is abused by her parents. When her younger sister dies from the abuse and neglect, she runs away from home. She eventually falls into a gang with Auster (Guardian of Air) or Andy. She eventually dies in a fight over territory.

She is Aquarius Black, daughter of Cassiopeia Black and Andrew Traviers. Her mother was powerful and had forced her husband to let her keep her maiden name and give it to her daughters. His son got the Traviers name. Aquarius loves it being a Black. As a noble lady, she gets all the music and arts lessons she can ever wanted. She gets to sing to her heart's content. As the scion of a powerful magical family, she gets to use magic whenever she wants. She was encouraged to in fact. Her and her elder sister, Cassiopeia (named for their mother) are the best of friends. While they have different interests, they still get along well. Both loves the Dark Arts and their family. Both have a hard time following the expectations of high society. Both hopes to persuade a career, Cassiopeia as a magizoologist, her, well she hasn't figure it out yet. They went to Hogwarts, Cassiopeia two years ahead for her. Both went to Slytherin. They were with their cousins, Orion and Walburga Black, as well as Tom Marvolo Riddle. Neither sister like him. They were polite, but made it clear they weren't joining his group, Knights of Walpurgis. They both graduated at the top of their year. They had hoped to travel but their stupid father got in their way.

Ugh! Men are so annoying! He promises one of his daughters to Lionel Fawley, someone who abuses his previous wife to death. Cassiopeia was the original choice since she was older, but she takes the contract, because she knew she can handle it better. She had her previous memories after all. They married and Lionel started to abuse her the moment her family's eyes were off her. Her stupid father had made it so she can't use her magic against him. Fortunately, the contact said nothing about physical fighting. All that street fighting from her last life paid off. The lesson she learns in this life is to always have magical and non-magical means of fighting.

She got pregnant and he started cheating on her with other women. She won't stand for it! She told Cassiopeia who take it into her own hands. When she married, Cassiopeia promises her that she will take care of any problem that arise in her marriage. Cassiopeia ruined these women in high society and their families. The moment Aquarius found out she was having a boy, Cassiopeia made plans to kill Lionel. The day after her son was born, Lionel die supposedly killed by his mistress. She is pitied by English high society.

"Poor woman."

"She just had a son, and now her husband is dead."

"I can't believe her husband would cheat on her right after she give him a son."

The Black Family demanded justice. The mistress' family is ruined, and their fortune becomes hers. She raised her son, Ryan with help from the Black Family. Much to her delight, he was nothing like his father or her own father and brother. She teaches him to respect women as much as men and all her knowledge and skills. Cassiopeia also dotes on little Ryan.

When he went off to Hogwarts, she found herself with a lot of time on her hands. She was curious as to what the muggle world was like and sneak off with powerful invisibility spells on herself and an enchanted dagger. The muggle world had advanced a great deal. She was most amazed and terrified by the advanced weapons. She learns a lot about through books and newspapers. Science and technology had come a long war thanks to the two world wars. She was thankful that she hadn't been born those times

As she wanders one day Bond Street months after her first trip, she is startled to see a richly dressed woman with bruises on her arms. Through they were covered, she can recognize them as signs of abuses. Suspicions, due to her past life and this one, raise. Walking towards the woman, she pretends to recognize the woman as a friend. When the woman snarls at her for the mistake, she uses Legilimency on her to discover that her husband have been abusing her for years. Using invisibility spells, she follows the woman home. What she saw what the woman's husband did to her that night (so similar to what Lionel did to her), the Black insanity flare. After the husband leave, Aquarius altered her appearance before revealing herself. She heals the woman and offers to get rid of her husband for her, in exchange for half of her husband's fortune (She is a Slytherin and she wants something for her work.) The woman weeps and agrees. She makes his automobile crashes into another. The people in the other car were protected by magical shields. She collects her payment. It is not much compared to what she gets from being a Black, but it is nice sum to add to her vaults.

This was just the beginning. She travels through multiple countries, with Cassiopeia seeing the same situation everywhere. Many men used their wealth to hide their abuses of not just their wives but countless other people. She saw what people with money could do to those beneath them, and she didn't like it. She kills those people. This time is good for teaching her how to think ahead. She had never been good at manipulating or planning in the long term. She could do it when she needs to manipulate someone to do something at the moment or in the near future. After she get rid of abusive husbands and some abusive wives, she always claims part of the fortune for herself. The Black family indulges her. After all it was not like she was killing those with magic. Even the muggle police said those people were better off dead.

She had more wealth than she knows what to do with. She had enough to last for several lifetimes, even after leaving the majority of her fortune to her son. She owns several estates as part of her dowry and what she got from her dead husband and his mistress. She tells Cassiopeia (after making her take all sorts of vows) about her past lives. After swearing on her magic, it was true, Cassiopeia suggests she sealed up her vaults like most wizards do in case they die before their heirs are of age. She also suggests asking the goblins if they had a way to detect reincarnation. The answer was no. However, the goblin had said if she reincarnates and have access to her memories, she can set up a group of tests that she had to pass to get access to her vaults. She decided to do that. She also makes the arrangements to ensure she will continue to make money when she is in the underworld.

During all of this, Lord Voldemort rise and some of her family members join him. She didn't agree with his ideals and she didn't like his methods. In her eyes, they would only expose the Wizarding World. When Ryan come to her in his 4th year telling him of an offer to become a Death Eater, she panics. She grabs Ryan's shoulders and made it clear he wasn't becoming a Death Eater. She wouldn't have her only son in danger! She forced her son to make an Unbreakable Vow with her that he would never become a Death Eater. In hindsight that may not have been necessary, since she dies fighting Death Eaters a year after Cassiopeia's death. She makes sure her son would know the cause of her death. She wouldn't have Dumbledore or Voldemort use her death to manipulate her son.

Reclining on the grass, near the crystal lake on Mahoutokoro, Josephine Wheeler thought about how different her life was from her past one. Instead of an Old-blood family, she is a first generation. She is the only one who know of magic. Instead of growing up loved and treasured, her father abuses her. Her mother abandons her. She grows up in an orphanage instead of a manor. That is not said this life doesn't have its upsides. She is allowed to do whatever she wants. She can have hobbies that aren't ladylike. She doesn't have to act like a lady. Mahoutokoro offers for more courses than Hogwarts.

"A yen for your thoughts?" A familiar voice said.

Joey smiles up at Kiyomizu Umi or Marina Aqua. "Just reflecting on how different this life and my past one was."

Kiyomizu sit beside her "Oh? Do tell."

"I went from being the scion of the most powerful and richest magical family in Britain if not Europe to an orphan who is a ward of the government." In Magical Japan if your parents were no-mags and have no knowledge of the magical community, you were considered an orphan.

"You could be adopted. My family would be more than happy to. I know many families would be thrilled to have the winner of the International Dueling Championship as their daughter." Joey, with her talents and memories of past lives as well as physical training, had competed in the International Dueling Championship since she was 12. She had started advanced in age groups when she was 13. For the past two years, she had been competing at an adult level. She had always won first place.

Joey snorts "I want someone who wants me for me, not for my accomplishments. I am thankful for your offer, but your clan are water mages and I don't think I fitted in. I am happy with being invited to your celebrations." Kiyomizu concedes to Joey's logic. "I am eighteen anyways. I don't need anyone to look after me."

"Especially since you have the Fujimori fortune as well as Aquarius Black's vaults." Joey's maternal grandmother had been a squib and had been sent away. Thus, she managed to avoid death by the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. The Fujimori fortune had been sealed until the next wizard or witch (Joey) claims it. Thankful the last Fujimori head had set up precautions and investments in case of this exact scenario, so Joey got a sizeable fortune. She also had to change her last name to Fujimori in the magical world. This give her more of a standing in Magical Japan and Mahoutokoro.

Joey laughs "And don't forgot the apprenticeships I have been offered for Dueling and Technomagic. Once I completed them and get a no-mag degree, my future is set." Joey smiles, her heart-shaped lips curve up. In the sunlight, she looks ethereal with her golden hair and amber eyes full of happiness.

Kiyomizu glares at a group of boys across the lake, making them look away. She and Joey have every boy and some girls after them. Joey, more than her, since she had her family protecting her as opposed to Joey who only had no one to stand in her way of a relationship. When Joey claimed the Fujimori fortune and name, the ones who had to worry about dating someone with no money or power or were interested in them, started asking Joey out. Thank god for Joey's obliviousness. Apparently, despite being astute at emotions and battle tactics, she was horrible at determining when someone was in love with her. Kiyomizu still considers getting her and Marcus together one of the toughest things she ever done in all her lives.

"Are you looking forward to going to Italy when non-magical school ends?" Kiyomizu changes the subject. Mahoutokoro starts and ends a month early compared to non-magical schools. This is due to fact the Japanese Ministry got tired of dealing with students stressed out with finals for two schools. Students were practicing magic in the open to get ready, breaking the

International Statute of Secrecy. They couldn't even be penalized for the offenders because the students were so stressed with the exams, they couldn't even register the punishment. Some of the more clever and magical strong students Confunded their no-mag teachers to give them high grades so they didn't have to study for those exams.

"Yes, I miss Rome so much," No matter what country she is born into, she always longed for Rome or Italy as it is called now. "I can't wait to see everyone again."

For the first time since the fall of Rome all six Guardians have been reborn and were in contact again. Hadrian James Potter-Black, Guardian of Earth was in Ilvermorny and Hogwarts (time-turner) and had recently finished his 4th year. Aither Anderson, Guardian of Air also attends Ilvermorny and had recently finished his 5th year. Sofia Mørk, Guardian of Darkness, graduated from Drumstrang three years ago, and was currently a Curse-beaker. Fazil Daw'

graduated from Uagadou three years ago and was running her family's fabric import and export business. Hadrian and Aither meet in Ilvermorny, much like Joey and Kiyomizu did in Mahoutokoro. Sofia and Fazil meet in Egypt when Sofia was working on a cursed tomb and Fazil was scouting some Egyptian cotton. The two bumped into each other at a café. Kiyomizu and Fazil had meet through their family's business. Hadrian and Joey had meet at a potion convention, when Joey had traveled to the United States to attend the International Dueling Championship when she was 15. The convention had been right afterwards, and Joey had decided since she had time before her Portkey why not take a look?

Despite her happiness at seeing all her friends again, Joey can't help but feel worried. "We haven't seen everyone since the fall of Rome. I am worried. Do all of us being together mean something bad is going to happen?" She shivers.

"Don't be silly. It is just coincidence and the fact that due to all the advances in technology and magic, we can travel easier now." Despite her confident words, Kiyomizu was worried. Years of battle instincts warn her to be careful.

"We'll get through this together," Joey laces her fingers with Kiyomizu's.

"Yes," Kiyomizu smiles back. Just like back in Rome, it was them and the rest of the Guardians against the rest of the world.

Notes:

I am not trying to be sexist about magic or anything. However, in most fairy tales magic users are generally female like fairies and witches.

The Egyptian court don't know that Josephina is a Roman noblewoman. Josephina knows that her family status was gone. Also, she never thinks of her family as nobles. She always thought of them as her family members. Their titles and wealth meant little to her.
