And, 3 2 1... Action!

Harry was glad to be back at Hogwarts, stepping off the the old Hogwarts Express, he took in the magnificent view of the moon reflecting off the lake and the beautiful yet deadly forest. And, even though he couldn't see the castle, he felt right at home.

He had an absolutely miserable summer, from getting attacked by dementors, to almost getting expelled, and even cleaning some old gloomy mansion. Even worse was that the Daily Prophet, a wizard paper, and been constantly blasting him over the summer and claiming that he was lying about Voldemort for more fame. So many of his school friends probably hated him too, he had felt dreadful.

Here at Hogwarts though, it felt... Relaxing, he finally was able to forget all his troubles with his family.

His best friends on the other hand, well Ron and Hermione both looked like they weren't enjoying it as much as him. Hermione's hair was sticking up everywhere and Ron's face was covered with a light layer of soot from a spell gone wrong, and Hermione was giving him an earful about it.

"Ron it's just a simple spell, you learned this in second year, how did you mess that up!?"

Ron let out a nervous laugh, "We did? I don't remember, do you remember Harry?"

Harry just made a gesture to show he was staying out of it and tuned him out, Ron would be lucky if he survived the night without getting hexed by the bushy haired girl. He didn't want to spend the first night back like that.

But as he looked around he felt something missing, it didn't take him very long to figure it out.

"Guys, where's Hagrid?" Ron and Hermione stopped their bickering and started looking around for the half-giant. They couldn't see the massive man anywhere, which was strange because he usually towered over all the students like a skyscraper over a suburban house.

"I don't know, but who is that?" Hermione pointed to a man who was directing the first years to the boats and Ron gasped.

"Blimey Harry, he looks just like you!" And Ron was right, the man did look like Harry, just more muscular, tan, and seemed to be around five years older.

"Maybe he's a substitute Groundskeeper?" Harry offered.

"But if that's so where is Hagrid?" Hermione seemed extremely troubled by it, unlike Ron who started pulling them towards the carriages.

"I don't know, but let's claim a carriage before we get stuck with someone like Malfoy." Ron exaggerated Malfoy in an effort to get through to them, and they all rushed to the carriages, strange look-a-like forgotten.

Percy was having a hard time staying still, his ADHD was acting up and he really wanted to move, he resorted to lightly tapping his foot in the ground, it wasn't helping much but if he tapped much more he risked bothering the other faculty. He had a feeling annoying the others would make him unpopular at the parties, which he was told, had some really good punch. Also, angering a bunch of people who could curse you in annoying ways didn't sound like his definition of fun.

He was sitting in the Hogwarts Great Hall, a large room with four extremely long tables, a bunch of floating candles, and four very large banners at the end of the hall. The banners represented the four houses of the school and lined up with the each house's table its banner was associated with. The floor had multiple long grey carpets with intricate golden designs woven into them.

He sat at a huge table that was in a half circle shape, all the people at the table sat in wooden seats as opposed to benches like the students. The tablecloth looked very expensive and for the first couple days Percy was almost scared to eat on it, after a while he had gotten used to it and figured that they probably had some type of magic to clean it, they were wizards after all.

Even with all this his favorite part of the hall was the roof, it always showed the sky, as if it was made of glass. It really gave him a good view of the stars, and tonight his favorite constellation the Huntress seemed to be shining bright.

He could tell he was attracting a couple stares from the students, it wasn't surprising seeing as he was a new guy, but luckily a woman who looked remarkably like a road dressed in pink was taking almost everyone's attention. He believed her name Dolores Umbridge, although he wasn't sure.

When they first met she hadn't left a very good impression on him, but he was pretty thankful she was there, he didn't want the entire student body's stares on him.

When Dumbledore finished the sorting with the creepy old hat, even to him an experienced demigod it was creepy, he started his introduction with Umbridge. The old woman left an even worse impression on him this time with her annoying coughing and superiority complex. Not that he minded, because after her he had to go.

"And our new Groundskeeper, Perseus Jackson, would you like to say anything?" Dumbledore said, and Percy had a hard time not comparing him to some game show host.

Percy stood up, gave a wave and after a moment of thinking said, "Please do not go into the Forbidden Forest, it is a lot more dangerous than we ever thought. It seems the former Groundskeeper didn't monitor a nest of giant spiders very well. These creatures are very fast and will ambush you if you aren't careful enough, I don't want to wake up at three in the morning because some moron is in danger." He finished off with a glance at the 'Golden Trio' a group he was told was notorious for snooping around in there.

After he sat down he listened to all the students start talking about his american accent, mostly asking each other if they knew anything about their new American Groundskeeper. Some of the people were talking about how much he looked like this Harry Potter, something he didn't really see. Harry Potta was so pale and skinny boy, especially compared to him. He also didn't have some lightning bolt scar, having that wouldn't sit well with his father, but it might earn him some points with Jupiter.

All of this was interrupted when Dumbledore stood up and clapped his hands, making some pretty good looking good appear on all the golden plates. Unlike the students and many of the faculty Percy didn't immediately dig in, he took a small lighter from his pocket and light the extremely small brazier next to his chair, he dumped the best pieces of food in, "For Vesta and Neptune." He whispered quietly, a very pleasant aroma filled the air after his sacrifice.

This action drew a lot of states from the students, who were probably confused about why he did it but he just ignored them and began to eat. Besides, who would believe that he was a half god?

Once all the students had left for their dorms Percy left for his small cottage next to the previous Groundskeeper's, on his short walk through the school's grounds he wondered how the man had time for both groundskeeping and teaching a class about animals, Percy only did the first on and it kept him extremely busy.

Although that might be part that the guy didn't even touch the Forbidden Forest, it was infested with giant spiders, shrewts, and other things that go bump in the night. Although the spiders have basically killed off most of the other creatures, they have taken over eighty percent of the forest.

On a more positive note, he met one of the European Chapters of the Party Ponies. They were pretty chill when they learned he knew Chiron, and if at all possible they partied harder than even the Florida Chapter, he left when they started pulling out the drugs.

Overall he had a pretty successful couple of weeks before school started, but he needed a good night's sleep because the next day he was going to start the lengthy process of clearing out the forest.

Hope you liked it, as you can tell Percy is referring to the gods in their Roman form instead of their Greek, this will make more sense later on, obviously Percy was with the Greeks because he know's the part ponies. Basically what I wanted to do here is show you that Canon events still happened instead of telling you, although I am doing that Here because it's possible someone didn't catch the 'meaning' behind it. I also enjoyed writing the parts about the tablecloth and Neptune and Jupiter, I like to think it shows off his ADHD mind.

Stay safe.
