Chapter 5: An Hour and Twenty-Two Minutes
In class Crescent Moon, Tsubaki, the weapon of Blackstar, asks Maka and Soul a question that sums up her thoughts since the mages arrive this morning.
"Hey Soul and Maka, do you happen to know those people from Fairy Tail?"
Speechless, Soul and Maka were. Did they really think that no one would notice their bizarre facial expression? Should they tell them what happened last night?
"Yea, I mean we all were but you guys were like a lot more than the rest," Liz added while picking at her nails.
"Like this!" Patty acted out the same mouth and eyes remarkably open expressions Maka and Soul were making earlier. Genuine, and nervous, chuckles were made through the group
"I mean I was too because of the pink one's unsymmetrical hair's length, shape, and EVERYTHING! Just thinking about it makes me want to...MARK MY WORDS PINKEY I WILL CUT YOUR HAIR!" Kid ranted and was instantly met with a book from professor Stein.
"Quiet down, class is about to start. Anyways before our lesson for today begins I would like to clear up some questions you may or may not have about the Fairy Tail Mages, " Stein informs while writing on the chalkboard 'Mages are different from Witches and areNOT the same'
He continues, "To describe how magic works it can be seen as very similar to how language works. There are different variations of language as there are different variations of magic. That's all, and don't forget about the party at eight. Now get out your notebooks for our assignment today."
Hours Later with Lucy
"Crap! I totally forgot." Lucy gulped. She walked out of her room and grabbed her purse along the way out the home.
"Hey, where are ya going?" Natsu asked, laid out on the couch with Happy.
"Oh I'm going to meet up with the girls, we made a plan to go shopping for the party, since we didn't pack any clothes," she stated with a bit of a sweatdropped at the end knowing she'll have to spend more money on just a dress like the necessities.
"Hm, okay."
"Bye Lucy!" Happy waved his little paw.
"Bye you guys!" said Lucy as she walked out the door.
"Ya know what Happy, I was thinking, we should go pay Grey a visit." Natsu plotted.
"Aye Sir!"
Meanwhile...
Erza, Wendy, Carla, and Lucy were browsing around the different stores that Death City had to offer, which were many. They were making the most out of their day buying groceries, clothes, and the basic necessities, so basically errands.
Until it was time to find something to wear for the night. They picked a small boutique that was nearby and had dazzling dresses on the mannequins in the front mirror.
To their surprise, they find Maka also in the boutique store and as her friends, they come over to say hi. Little did they know, curious Tsubaki was right next to Maka.
"Hi Maka!" the Fairy Tail girls said in unison.
"So you do know them?" Tsubaki gasped.
"Um! Well...you see, " Maka stuttered and put her hand on her neck, sweat droplets appeared on her forehead.
To help Maka out, Lucy, Wendy, Carla, and Erza decide to tell Tsubaki how they met Maka. Which cleared things up for her and had even laughed at the story.
"Are you guys shopping for dresses too?" Wendy had asked the DWMA students.
Tsubaki nodded and Maka responded, "I don't think so, I might just wear what I wore at The Eve's Party."
To which Lucy added, "Well we might just be able to find something for you, "
Thus, the mages had joined up with Maka and Tsubaki on a hunt to find something to wear before eight.
Maka was browsing with Carla until Maka noticed something, she had no idea who the person next to her was because Carla was in her human form.
"Hey are you one of the mages who will be teaching us magic?"
"I'm Carla, I'm just in my human form." Carla whispered with a cheeky smile.
"Oh wow, really?" faltered Maka who cannot understand the difference between Fairy Tail's cats and Blair.
She didn't notice that she had gripped on a beautiful white flowy dress with small embroidered golden suns until Carla had pointed it out.
"Oh wow, dear, that is one gorgeous dress you're holding on there."
Maka has looked at it and agreed it was one pretty dress.
The girls had got their outfits, even Maka who was dismissive at first, and began walking back home to get ready. Tsubaki and Maks helped out the Fairy Tail girls with their many shopping bags by carrying them back to their houses.
The way back the girls had a blast talking with each other and had millions of questions to ask.
"Wait, so your partner ended up being your partner?" Maka teases.
"Yeah…" Lucy admitted sheepishly.
Tsubaki chuckles along with her own question to the mages, "On a different subject, what will your classes be about?"
Erza responded, "Actually we aren't supposed to tell anyone about our classes until the party."
They stopped at Erza, Wendy, and Carla's house and Maka looked at her watch. The time being 6:32.
An hour and twenty-eight minutes until the party exactly.
